I’m not gonna lie, I’ve missed watching James Kennedy on this season of Vanderpump Rules. Instead of his antics, we’ve been bombarded by Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s pre-wedding activities, Kristen Doute’s feud with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney, and the 13,534 new additions to the cast.
However, James makes his return tonight, and it’s far from triumphant. Lisa Vanderpump suspects that James had been drinking again, which he probably was. He also gets in a fight with his girlfriend Raquel Leviss. Yes, she’s a cast member now too.
James is back to DJ at TomTom for gay pride. This also means that Jax will continue to pretend bartend at SUR and Scheana Marie’s tension with Dayna Kathan will escalate while they “work” at the restaurant. Everyone assumes that Scheana is jealous of Dayna, which she seems to be. However, Scheana insists that’s not the case. Sure, Jan.
But, come on, even Lisa thinks Scheana is jealous of Dayna. But, Lisa has a greater agenda this episode. Aside from her on-point assessment of Scheana and her investigation about James‘ drinking, Lisa is there for Ariana Madix as she deals with depression.
Pride is always a big episode on this show. The alcohol flows, the clothes are skimpy, and the drama is always high.

Jennifer Aydin may only be on her sophomore season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, but that hasn’t stopped her from speaking her mind about well, pretty much any time she wants. While most would normally find that trait perfect for a budding housewife, Jennifer has been accused by fans of being stuck up, materialist and trying too hard.
But regardless of what you might think of her, the one thing we can all agree on is that the Chanel-loving housewife is always honest about how she feels. From admitting to being scared of castmate Teresa Guidice, to how much money she spends on her kids, to all the plastic surgery she’s recently had, it is kind of refreshing for someone on RHONJ to not hold back. Well, unless that means going up against Teresa.
One person she is willing to go up against is fellow housewife Jackie Goldschneider. Case in point, the last few episodes have been spent listening to Jennifer complain about how cheap Jackie’s kid’s birthday party was. It seems like fans are really split on this topic – some believing that it’s just a kid’s party so who cares if Jackie only served pizza and cake? Others think throwing a box of Amazon junk in a driveway as goody bags might have just taken the whole “casual party thing” too far.
No matter what side of the aisle you stand, Jennifer has made her feelings pretty clear on social media, taking to Instagram to explain how hypocritical it is of Jackie to criticize Jennifer’s extravagance when Jennifer can’t comment on Jackie’s lack of financial effort when it comes to throwing a birthday party. It all started when Jennifer posted some throw back photos of her kids and one included her daughter’s Chuck E. Cheese birthday party. The post shows commenters jumping on the fact that Chuck E. Cheese isn’t exactly a high-brow birthday affair that Jennifer has been bragging about hosting for her kids.
Jennifer shot back at one commenter, saying “She critiqued me and the over abundance of it all last year in an article, which I am not holding a grudge over, I am simply pointing out the fact that she critiqued me about how I overdo it, so how come it’s such a crime to critique her when she under does it?”
Jennifer also added, “It was the lack of effort of it all. I know the magic of editing made it look like it was just pizza and cake, but when you have a party at your house, and you invite adults to stay, and it’s not drop off, there’s usually more than pizza and cake especially with someone of her means.” Ouch. Tell us how you really feel, Jennifer.
One thing’s for sure, it doesn’t sound like Jennifer will be attending any more of Jackie’s birthday parties. That is, if she even gets an invite.

After reserving judgment last week, I’ve decided that I think I like Below Deck Sailing Yacht. It has all the elements of a disaster but set against beautiful scenery and a competent crew.
Take Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan for instance. Together since practically infancy, isolating themselves away on a sailing yacht in a wonky tripod of living with a parental figure who is also a friend and their boss, and cut off from people their age. And in comes the new crew and suddenly Paget overhears Georgia Grobler singing in the laundry (It’s like the Little Mermaid!) and remembers that other women exist. This might come as news to Ciara as well.
Now, Paget has the sex appeal of a boiled potato, and I think it’s mainly his hair which is flaxen-colored flaccidness that belongs on an 8-year-old Norwegian in 1987. Ciara also does flattening things with her hair, and it’s odd to see something so bushy also look so… flat. But we are not here to dismember the intricacies of Pagara’s hair (or are we?) – we are here to pick apart every other thing about their relationship!
The bigger relationship drama, at least last night, comes from the charter guests Guy and Alessia. What are these two? I feel like they don’t even know the primary charter guests, but met them on some sort of TripFinder for swingers. Guy and Alessia are supposed to be aboard Parsifal to celebrate their honeymoon, except they showed up drunk and unmarried, then decided to impulsively get married the next day on the yacht, officiated by Captain Glenn Shephard. For their wedding Alessia wants a pair of wedding shorts, plus hair and makeup, while Guy wants a Stag Night, but not the actual wedding – just any excuse to get drunk.
By 8 am, chief stew Jenna MacGillivray is ready to rip her hair out planning an impromptu wedding, combined with a Greek dinner party, and Guy has drank about 16 margaritas. Talk about premature ejaculation of celebration, however, because by 8 PM Guy is wasted beyond obliteration to the point that the stews are watering down his margaritas and he doesn’t realize, then picks a huge fight with Alessia because she took a shower.
Guy apparently thought Alessia was in there too long and must be up to something… um what? Fucking one of the deckhands? They get into a screaming domestic dispute that requires Captain Glenn to intervene and make third deckhand Parker McCown stand guard outside their bedroom door in case things escalate. Fun, fun… Needless to say just as the traditional Greek musicians come on board preparing to serenade the wedding couple, Jenna is explaining that the wedding is off.
In fact, Guy barely makes it to dinner, and then the vibe is hella awkward against the backdrop of the gorgeous (and amazing looking) Greek buffet Adam Glick has spent all day preparing as a wedding feast.
The only thing these two deserve was to savage the bones in the garbage can. Which is also where Adam threw the blender after he busted it making them homemade hummus.
Jenna is exhausted, but her competency under pressure and the military precision with which she planned, then canceled a wedding in less than 24 hours has Adam feeling all the love. I mean Adam essentially calls Hannah Ferrier a black hole of gloom and ineptitude when comparing her to Jenna. And on that note, Adam is not wrong!
But I also note that all those months in the desert have done nothing to truly change Adam from a girl-crazy manwhore. To wit Adam is practically sexually harassing Jenna every time she enters the galley, constantly commenting on how hot she looks and making little insinuations, or hugging her.
Of course, Jenna is rising to that occasion and likes it. What she finds sexy is not Adam’s rugged attractiveness or bawdy sense of humor, but that he’s good at his job. Don’t worry — this is going to go down in flames. Chief engineer Byron Hissey, who by all accounts seems like he’s basically the viewers, but like with a birdseye view, is excited to binge-watch this explosion.
The wedding may be off, but the good news is that Captain Glenn literally climbed the mast to fix something called a donkey and get it back to its hole. This sounds like something you’d find in a Tijauna sex show (allegedly — I have no actual experience of knowing this), but it’s a legit nautical term and it means they can actually set sail again much to the excitement of the guests. Not so much for the crew who is suddenly adding the cleaning up of broken glass and spills to their endless list of tasks.
However, everyone seems to be working well together. Georgia and Madison Stalker are a good team, supportive of each other and, thus-far, respectful of Jenna. Madison acknowledges that the role of second stew is to basically have all the skills of a Chief Stew, but handle all the grunt work while also training the 3rd stew.
Luckily, Madison’s personality is human Adderall so she never, ever, ever gets tired!! And Georgia is pretty uncomplaining — although something tells me this is a temporary honeymoon phase. Georgia belongs on Vanderpump Rules, not here, because she’s a budding musician who works on yachts half the year so she can spend the rest of her year funding her musical endeavors.
On the deck crew, things are a little more fraught. Paget and Ciara are struggling because for the first time he’s the boss and she’s his employee. However, it’s obvious that in their personal lives those roles are dramatically reversed. As bosun, Paget gets frustrated easily and snappish, and expects his underlings to read his mind. For Ciara, reading of Paget’s brain is not necessarily a problem, although she doesn’t know the skills and is getting annoyed with him being so gruff, but poor Parker seems like a lamb being led to a very gentle and tearful slaughter.
Parker is over-eager and asks a ton of questions. He’s also distinctly American, which seems to annoy Paget. I personally find Parker adorable and I really appreciate him, but maybe it’s cause I am an American? Meanwhile, Paget seems driven to connect with Georgia… Whatever is going on it appears to be breeding some resentment in Ciara, who also feels rebuffed that Paget is not relying on her to manage Parker. Which Ciara can’t really, considering that she’s still learning all the deckhand tasks herself and Parker is completely green.
Despite the bungled wedding the charter guests were absolutely thrilled with their experience and left the crew a $22,000 tip. NOT a bad way to start the season! Even Paget admits that the entire crew is working well together, and although he was worried about the influence of other people joining the boat, he is actually thrilled to be part of civilization again. Paget acts like he just escaped a cult and when he emerged he discovered the internet had been born in his absence. Ciara, though, seems less ecstatic to be losing her grip on her tightly-bundled world.
Captain Glenn praises his crew to the hilt and rewards them with a celebratory dinner, served with a warning that it’s a “school night” so nobody better stay up too late. Obviously, they totally respect his authority! Over dinner Jenna reveals that wine “makes her crazy,” but then decides to partake (and partake and partake) anyway. By the time they’re walking back to the boat Adam is already proposing more wine and everyone climbing into the hot tub. He’s also putting his literal feelers all over Jenna. Adam is like an octopus — it’s like these limbs and sexy comments are coming from all sides and are indefatigable.
Jenna is wasted. Everyone else seems drunk, but Jenna is wasted. As Paget and Georgia serenade the group with a freestyle, nonsensical song to the tune of Parker’s ukulele strumming, Jenna just drinks and drinks and drinks At once point literally dumping a glass of rose on her face. Madison is not impressed.
This woman is supposed to be her superior, after all, not a sorority girl auditioning for Girls Gone Wild, yacht addition! Oh, but Jenna wants Adam and in order to proposition Adam but not feel the sting of rejection (if it occurs) she has to be sufficiently wasted.
Adam wants Jenna too, but Adam is less drunk and mostly just wants women to fawn all over him. Still, they get so drunk she mounts him in the hot tub and then they stumble their way back to an empty cabin… It seems like they’ll be hooking up, but this could be the Bravo editors alluding to something that doesn’t actually happen. At least not YET.
Also before Paget and Georgia could run off together to form a band of traveling minstrels (Or rather Paget chasing Georgia while bellowing Sound Of Music tunes), Ciara announces that it’s time for them to go to bed. I do feel like Paget missed his calling as the fourth member of Hanson.

It looks like Kenya Moore is shooting down any hope that she and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes will ever be friends again. NeNe did take a step forward in making things right with Cynthia Bailey. NeNe sent her former bestie some cheese and cracker trays, along with a really heartfelt card, when Cynthia opened her wine cellar. But later, the exact words from the card appeared on Love B. Scott’s blog, and NeNe blamed Kenya for the leak. Kenya pointed her finger (guess which one) right back at NeNe.
During the RHOA trip to Toronto for Carnival, Kenya and NeNe had an argument over who should mind their own business, and production had to help restrain NeNe. It’s no secret that NeNe was furious when Kenya returned with a peach this season. Last season. NeNe referred to a pregnant Kenya as a “monster” at Cynthia’s bellini launch event.
Recently, Kenya spilled the tea about where NeNe stands with her, and with the other Atlanta Housewives. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kenya explained the state of her relationship with NeNe. “We don’t have a friendship. I don’t think we ever did have a friendship, I think I was just convenient, and a convenient ally… so yeah, I don’t really see the value in being or attempting to be fake friends with her,” Kenya said.
Then Kenya commented on NeNe’s relationships last season. Kenya stated, “You know, I wasn’t in our last season, but last season, she certainly was not friends with anyone. She was a man on an island.” Wouldn’t NeNe be a woman on an island, and not a man? Just wondering.
NeNe is seen making up with RHOA co-stars Porsha Williams and Kenya in the Season 12 mid-season teaser. But Kenya believes that NeNe wasn’t being genuine. “You’re just making up with people because you have to, because you have no one else to film with or nothing else to do, you know? So, that’s what that is,” Kenya said.

“We’re not going to do Edge for a while. I’ve heard people. I got it,” Jeff Probst said. He also said Survivor: Winners at War “will be the best season we’ve ever done.”
It’s not hard to notice that NeNe Leakes hasn’t exactly been a feature on this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, even though she’s billed as a full-time cast member. Despite her lack of presence, she knows how to keep her relationship with her fellow Housewives full of drama, which makes one wonder just how much screen time the ATL OG needs anyway.
It’s recently been released that NeNe has hired a high powered attorney to help her with….well, we don’t know exactly. NeNe announced on Instagram that she is working with the famed Lisa Bloom so she can “make some noise”. Whatever that means. She’s also been spilling the supposed tea to “friend” Wendy Williams, who took to the airwaves saying that NeNe text her that she quit. Wendy went on to tell her viewers, “I know something about NeNe that you all will cry, be sad, feel bad for her. She’s carrying the weight of a huge thing on her shoulders.”
It sure sounds like something is going down with NeNe and RHOA specifically because Radar Online is reporting that NeNe has been docked a whopping $240,000 thanks to her mess of a feud with Kenya Moore. Now it’s important to note that NeNe herself has not confirmed any of this speculation and good ole’ friend Wendy has been mum on the topic as well, so this is coming from an unnamed source.
The source is also spilling that NeNe feels targeted by producers and has intentionally been cut out of episodes. Apparently, the rift between NeNe and Kenya has been so heated, NeNe wasn’t even invited to the cast’s panel at Bravocon just to avoid a confrontation.
Now I don’t know if that’s true or not but watching the episodes that NeNe has been in this season, it seems like her beef extends well beyond Kenya and to her other castmates. It’s been uncomfortable to watch, to say the least, but maybe we can’t blame this all on Kenya. Despite my feelings on the matter, RHOA execs have always seemed hesitant to see NeNe go because she is so good for ratings.
NeNe knows it and doesn’t seem to take kindly to anyone stealing her thunder on the show or anywhere else so I think it’s safe to say that being cut out of episodes doesn’t sit well with her. Now we will just have to wait and find out how many more episodes we will see NeNe in this season.

After all the drama of this season’s Below Deck I expected the reunion to be somewhere on the crazy-level of your average Real Housewives reunion, but it was clear that everyone came with a plan to redeem themselves by being on their best behavior. Sure, there were disagreements, but polite and quiet ones. Even Kevin Dobson apologized and managed to find nice things to say about Kate Chastain. Not that we forgive him.
Andy Cohen was pretty direct this reunion. Possibly even skewing towards combative. He directly questioned Kate and Captain Lee, and even argued against some of Captain Lee’s points. Basically, Andy seems tired of Captain Lee blindly defending Kate at all costs possible. To err is human and last I checked Kate is a human, not the saint of the sea.
It comes as no surprise that Kate feels no remorse for any of the drama with Simone Mashile, and in truth most of it was ridiculous. I still fail to see what Simone is so upset about? That she didn’t get to shadow Kate through dinner service like this was Take Your Daughter To Work Day? Essentially Simone (mistakenly) assumed Kate would have time to train her while simultaneously running a boat and filming a reality show. Maybe, like Simone said, this is commonly done on other boats? But do other boats also have Bravo cameras on them?
Kate offered plenty of (legit) compliments about how organized and efficient Simone was, which made her a natural fit to manage the industrial laundry situation aboard a super yacht. Plus, there was that whole Simone exclaiming about how much she loved laundry! It ain’t Kate’s fault Simone irons like an Olympic medal was at stake!
Meanwhile, Courtney Skippon, who grew up sitting in the laundry basket while the nannies and housekeepers folded around her, has absolutely no clue how to work a dryer yet has an air of pleasant detachment which made her a natural when dealing with self-righteous guests.
Simone also takes issue with Captain Lee implying that she lied about her experience on her CV. Simone never claimed to know how to open a bottle of wine. OMG! I will say, I appreciated how assertive and direct Simone was in explaining herself at the reunion. It was in direct opposition to how immature and tongue-tied she came across all season. Reunion Simone did not let anyone give her grief – not even Captain Lee. She was right to call him out for claiming sexual harassment from charter guests comes with the territory. Um, not in the #MeToo era it doesn’t, Sea Stud!
Simone also insisted she was far less in love with Tanner Sterback than it appeared. For instance, when she learned he wanted to hook up with other women, she told him (more than once apparently) that they should keep things platonic, yet Tanner kept insisting he wanted more. That is called wanting to have your penis cake and eat it too.
Let’s talk about the personality 180 Tanner did on this reunion. Gone was the drunk, brash asshat, expecting women’s panties to drop every time he said “Jimminey Cricket.” A verbal effect that stops being cute the day a person’s age enters the double-digits. Also every time he said it, I thought “That’s what she said…” imagining that to be women’s reactions.
Anyway, Reunion Tanner is dressed like a Miami Vice character and is contrite, overly apologetic, and insistent that he’s not a misogynist. He just plays one on TV! Reunion Tanner apologized profusely to Simone because he never meant to take advantage of her (or lie about using her until Kate’s hook-up calendar opened up). Maybe Tanner was just under the negative influence of Ashton Pienaar while aboard Valor?
A viewer asked how Tanner’s mom reacted to his treatment of Simone, and Tanner claims it’s never come up. What has come up is his mom’s hatred of Captain Lee. Tanner’s mom is apparently very active in a private (and this is a big distinction) Facebook group where she has disparaged Captain Lee for insulting Tanner in his blogs. Mama Tannz insinuated that Captain Lee changed his tune from when the season was airing. I need to get in this group because Rhylee Gerber called Mama Tannz out and they got in an argument about how she is failing Tanner as a mother. Good thing that wasn’t Ashton’s mother or we know how he’d react (by punching his computer screen).
Speaking of Ashton – no rest of the wicked there! Ashton mainly kept his comments to himself at the reunion but the one instance where he did rear his own ugly head is when it came to how Kate treats her staff. Kate thinks she is far more fair and kind than bosuns often are, and although she is snarky and spares no constructive criticism, she doesn’t berate her stews or curse at them. Now I disagree with this assessment, as the footage of Caroline Bedol reminded us last season. YES, Caroline was hopeless, hapless, and hell on water to deal with, but Kate was anything but professional in how she handled this.
Of course, Ashton brought this up because he’s playing a game of tit-for-tat (for one which Kate is not reciprocating) in which every perceived criticism lobbed at him can be smacked back to ‘Kate did something equally bad.’ This is NOT how one takes responsibility for their actions. This is NOT how one displays remorse for their actions.
There is also this bizarre argument between Ashton, Kate, and Captain Lee where Ashton tries to imply they don’t work in the industry unless the cameras are rolling and challenges them both about their experience in relation to his own. Like questioning if Captain Lee actually has the captain chops he claims to, and arguing that Ashton who has been working steadily on a boat has equal the amount of experience managing people. Que?
Kate fires back that Ashton is technically not working in the yachting industry, except in some capacity for a boat owned by his girlfriend’s best friend’s brother’s uncle’s talking chimpanzee who owns a traveling circus called Mara-KATCH. Ergo Ashton wouldn’t even have a fake job if it weren’t for nepotism.
Obviously, Kate has effed-up when it comes to her managerial relationships on board, but Ashton is a hot mess express that jumped the tracks.
Abbi Murphy returned from Greece, and she is living a great life: married and running a private sailing charter with her Greek husband. Below Deck was the best thing she ever did in terms of giving her life direction, but leaving the show was definitely the right decision. In regards to working with Ashton Abbi has nothing but nice things to say about her experiences, and seems shocked by how his behavior unraveled as the season progressed. Abbi got an untested Ashton full of self-confidence in his own abilities. Rhylee managed to erode all that the second she stepped on board, nipples blazing.
Well, it was nice to see Abbi, who looked beautiful and appeared completely bored. I also see that she cut her hair, and it does not appear that it was severed off after being caught in a sail.
In a surprising twist, Kevin and Kate seem to have put their differences behind them. In fact, there is no venom left in their arguments, no sand left to kick in each other’s faces… This is all so hilarious because not 2 weeks ago Kevin was on WWHL where he said he’d never want his daughter to grow up like Kate. What, successful and on television? Kevin insists he was just trying to be provocative with that comment and that he sees the positives in both Rhylee and Kate. Sometimes.
Kevin, unlike the other guys, does seem contrite in his Kevin way and admits to coming on on way too strong, thus derailing their working relationship before it even had a chance to begin. Kevin is so obviously insecure that when Kate was asked if he’s a talented chef, he literally braced himself and was on the edge of his seat trying to prepare for how to intuit a negative comment without reacting, but instead Kate gave him plenty of compliments. Including that the food he prepared for the crew was amazing and that he’s the hardest-working chef she’s ever worked with.
The penis cake debacle still confounds me. Apparently, primary charter guest Jemele had never told her friends about requesting this on her presence sheet, which explains why the other guests were so wholly thrown off guard by its appearance. In the middle of their serious conversation about charity. Kate maintains that her only offense was not warning Kevin that Jemelle had gone to bed, and that she didn’t introduce the cake as part of the preference sheet request. Something she usually does.
However, the cake was delicious! It’s an accomplishment Kevin is now proud of! I imagine he can make big money in certain industries with his skill at fabricating edible arrangements as realistic looking penises. I mean get off yachts Kevin and get on those dicks!
Lastly, there is Courtney and Brian de Saint Pern. Oh, Brian … we had such high hopes. Oh, ha, no we didn’t. Since the season wrapped Courtney actually had to block Brian after he sent her aggressive texts because he doesn’t like her discussing him on Twitter. Um, Brian -a lady has a right to her own mind, and her own twitter feed. Also her own predilections for how she uses both. Thankfully Courtney used her mind when she decided Brian was not worth her time, and honestly, Courtney is far too articulate and insightful for this show. All the women are. Listening to all of them speak vs. the garbledly-goop boys was highly eye-opening.
Brian insists that he only sent Courtney the infamous ‘break-up?’ text because he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable by discussing it on camera. Also that he wasn’t trying to break up with her, but reassure her that they weren’t breaking up. Honestly, a Dilbert cartoon from 1997 makes more sense than Brian’s explanations. The bottom line is that Brian expected Courtney to be seen and not heard, like a child from a Victorian novel, and anytime she displayed emotion of any sort he was annoyed. Brian also cannot wrap his head around the fact that talking to Ashton about his situations with Courtney was THE. EXACT. SAME. THING as Courtney talking to Kate.
Despite this guy having the emotional intelligence of a squid and the social-relationship perspectives of a 1950’s TV dad, Captain Lee still blamed the Courtney and Brian’s argument on Kevin gossiping to Brian that he heard Courtney crying to Kate. Um, Captain Lee, I’m not sure how that’s relevant? Also, who doesn’t gossip on a superyacht?
The best thing that came out of Courtney’s relationship with Brian is that he’s cuter and less repugnant than Ashton, Tanner, and Kevin, so Courtney being with him spared her from being hit on by any of them. Truly a blessing in a crisis! Also, Brian probably bought her plenty of drinks. However, just like Simone needs to spend some time in Fort Lauderdale in Stew Academy, Brian needs to spend some time at FSU in a women’s studies 101 class. Although based on the FSU alum guests who were on board this season it’s probably more likely that they offer Sexual Harassment 101.
