Keeping in mind SZA‘s love for bugs, Jimmy Kimmel got her a tarantula to add to her extensive bug collection during her recent appearance on his talk show. While accepting his gift, the singer defended her love for bugs, calling them “beautiful” and comparing fondness for tiny creatures to that of people who “like shiny things.” Kimmel also highlighted some of her previous bug-related references, including her Glastonbury performance perched on a giant ant and her new album cover.

SZA shares her fascination for bugs on Jimmy Kimmel’s show

SZA’s love for bugs and her unique collection was a special highlight of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show. The host brought up her love for tiny creatures before gifting her a tarantula to add to her assortment, claiming he got it from the “store next door.” This prompted the singer to share her fascination for bugs with the host as well as the audience, noting that she is not some kind of a “crazy bug connoisseur per se.” She then compared her interest in the species to people’s liking for “shiny things” such as jewelry.

While the Grammy winner expressed her love for bugs, Kimmel took out a picture of her sitting on a giant ant. The still was from her 2024 Glastonbury festival performance when she performed “Drew Barrymore” while riding the prop. Responding to this, SZA joked about how the 1989 cult classic film “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” did something to her, adding, “It shaped me.” Following this, the host brought out the bug-themed, Mantis-giving cover photo of her latest album, “Lana.”

After SZA’s insightful discussion about bugs, she addressed Jimmy Kimmel’s questions surrounding her upcoming Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar. Only last month, the iconic duo delivered a rocking Super Bowl halftime performance, after which Lamar announced that the “All the Stars” singer would co-headline the tour alongside him. She told Kimmel that it’s going to be different from what fans witnessed at the Super Bowl. She teased that “it’ll be a new” and “fun thing” even better than before.

Millie Bobby Brown recently opened up about her Instagram video confronting shamers and bullies on “The Today Show.” While promoting her new film, “The Electric State,” Brown told host Savannah Guthrie that she is “happy that people were able to resonate with the video.” She elaborated that her previous message was not just for women in the industry but for all the “young girls all over the world” under constant scrutiny “for the way they look and the way they present themselves.” The star also defended her decision to speak out despite feeling “overwhelmed.”

Millie Bobby Brown reveals why she chose to confront bullies on social media

During her recent “The Today Show” appearance, Millie Bobby Brown elaborated on her Instagram video confronting shamers and bullies. When host Savannah Guthrie brought up her social media post and the immense support she received after it, Brown noted that she was happy “people were able to resonate with the video.” She explained how she realized “if I’m not gonna say it, you know, I’m never gonna find a good time to say it,” claiming she didn’t wanna wait any longer.

Guthrie called the “Stranger Things” actor slamming shamers “a courageous thing to do” and highlighted the massive support she received afterward. The broadcaster even asked Brown if she felt “that support” when she revealed that she “kind of shut my phone off after because I was a little overwhelmed.” Nonetheless, she continued that she was happy people felt like they were “able to connect with the video” regardless of it “being a scary thing to do,” as she didn’t know how viewers would react, but “it was nice to see that reaction.”

Earlier this month, Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to name and shame the “bullying” media and recent comments on her appearance. In the candid video, the 21-year-old highlighted the difficulty of growing up in the public eye. Brown recalled being only 10 years old when she started working in the industry and claimed that “people can’t seem to grow” up with her. She even read out a couple of problematic headlines that targeted her looks and did not hold back from taking names.
