Lady Gaga is planning a special concert set at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum this week. Helmed by a famous director, it will be filmed over four nights. The film’s release is expected later in 2026.
A bidding war by streaming services will determine when it will be available. The Mayhem Ball tour, one of the singer’s biggest, includes 87 performances in four continents.
Lady Gaga will film in LA this week
Lady Gaga has tapped British director Sam Wrench to lead the filming and execute her vision, according to The Sun. The well-known director was behind Taylor Swift’s record-breaking 2023 Eras Tour film, which not only appeared on Disney+, but was shown in theaters across the globe. Sam also directed Christina Aguilera’s Christmas in Paris special.
Lady Gaga and Sam have worked together in 2024 on Chromaica Ball. The HBO special featured the “Poker Face” singer’s 2022 tour.
The Sun’s source said, “Gaga has poured her heart and soul into The Mayhem Ball. She is so proud of everyone who has helped make the tour what it is and is keen to give it the full concert film treatment. Not only is it arguably her most elaborate show of all time, it’s also reminded the world that almost two decades into her career she is still at the top of her game.” They added that it was the two’s close relationship that solidified the new film venture. “The show will be filmed across her four dates in Los Angeles and is penciled in for release late 2026,” the source noted.
Sam will manage the project, alongside Gaga’s fiancé, Michael Polansky, and her choreographer, Parris Goebel.
The multifaceted singer and actress performed at four sold-out O2 shows in London this past September and October. It is expected that after her final April Madison Square Garden Show, 1.3 fans will have seen the tour.
In Gaga’s busy 2026, she has filmed an Apple Music concert special and sang at both the Super Bowl and Grammys. She also completed The Mayhem Ball tour in Asia.
