Even though season 8 of Vanderpump Rules just ended, the headlines just keep on coming. Normally, the news is a bit quieter during the off-season, but with 19,334 cast members, there’s usually something going on. And, oh, yeah, four cast members just got fired. OG cast members Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute came under fire for calling the police on Faith Stowers in 2018, accusing her of a crime she didn’t commit. Stassi also complained about the Black community’s desire for more representation in film. She referred to herself as “Nazi chic.” There really is a long list of offenses that Stassi never faced consequences for, until very recently, years later, even though EVERYONE was very much aware of her actions.
Then there are two lesser casualties to the show, Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens, who have only appeared on one season. None of us were really invested in their storylines and on top of that, they both came under fire for some controversial tweets which included racist and homophobic remarks. Again, everyone was very aware of this, yet they faced no consequences when the posts resurfaced. Privilege alert. Privilege alert.
As of this moment, no one is still on the Vanderpump Rules has actually addressed the firings. I don’t know why they haven’t, if it’s out of contractual obligation or out of loyalty to friendships they have with the fired cast members. Maybe they’re just scared of saying something that would get them fired too.
Ironically, the only person from the show that’s been constantly making headlines, planning paparazzi run-ins, and commenting publicly is Stassi. In contrast, Max, Brett, and Kristen have stayed low key, for the most part. Although Brett did release an apology and Kristen and Stassi shared a joint statement via a crisis management team they hired.
Recently, Tom Sandoval broke his silence, as the first one to speak out, be he didn’t say too much, in all honesty. Tom told Us Weekly, “It’s crazy.” True.
He also remarked, “It definitely changes things and honestly, we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.” That’s rather vague, but again, it seems like a lot is up in the air these days when it comes to the show.
Will Vanderpump Rules even return? Will more people get fired? Fans want to know. And we need to more about what the other cast members think when it comes to all of this.

Is anyone else feeling a gaping hole in their chest because Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been on hiatus? It was finally turning around from disastrous previous season(s) and then they go on a break – leaving us with nothing to tune out to – two Wednesdays in a row!? Way harsh.
Some of us are waiting impatiently for Brandi Glanville’s return. According to the mid-season trailer, she’s set to reveal a secret affair rumor between her and Denise Richards. So far, throughout Season 10, we’ve been gifted with Aaron Phypers incoherent babbles about energy and cancer-curing, Kyle Richards’ bangs, and Garcelle Beauvais’ queen-like presence. I’m glazing over the stupid drama about all the women thinking Denise “mom-shamed” them because she didn’t want them talking about threesomes in front of kids. Aside from that dumb story, this season is having some moments!
Eileen Davidson’s return to RHOBH is another moment I’m waiting for (Lisa Vanderpump stans come at me!). According to an article in Us Weekly, Eileen appeared on Bravo’s Daily Dish podcast to dish on her return and the drama between Denise and the other women. She shared, “A few of the Housewives came to my husband’s premiere of his movie Seven Days to Vegas and I kind of had a feeling something was going on. And I was kind of waiting for something to happen.” We are too, Eileen!
She continued, saying, “I asked Denise, ‘are you ok?’ because it just felt weird, and she was like, ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’” Eileen, however, claims she knew, “something was going on.”
For whatever reason Denise tweeted a response to this inane statement, saying, “since you publicly spoke about this @eileen_davidson when you asked me if I was OK at your husband’s premiere I was so nervous knowing I was having surgery in two days. I was so sick & in so much pain but we still wanted to be there.& I hadn’t told any of other women about it.” Good tweet, Denise.
A follower mentioned the obvious, saying that it didn’t seem like Eileen said anything negative. Denise replied, “I never said she was.” It is clear that Denise is annoyed at all of the women on the show right now. Except for Eileen maybe, who also shared this with the Daily Dish, “on the way over to Kyle’s party, I rode with Erika and Lisa and they were saying that something was going on with some BBQ that Denise had had and they thought [Denise was] being kind of hypocrite.” (The typos are from the article in Us Weekly).
Eileen continued on to offer emotional support to Denise, saying, “I really don’t know what happened [with Brandi]. I don’t know if it happened. I honestly feel for [Denise]. Because even though you sign on for this, it’s not easy. And I’m not sure if she was prepared for all of this, you know? I feel for her.”
Eventually, Eileen responded to Denise’s tweet, saying, “When I saw this tweet this morning I immediately texted Denise and told her I meant nothing negative or provocative by the comments I made. She called me right away and told me she meant nothing by the tweet she sent. I like Denise very much. I think she’s a very cool chick.”
Eileen probably does really feel for Denise. Never forget that Eileen has been on the receiving end of a Brandi tirade. RHOBH returns July 8th. That date is too far away!

While Meghan Edmonds and her soon-to-be-ex-husband Jim Edmonds never had much of a storyline when she was a cast member on Real Housewives of Orange County, their lives have been so messy in the past year.
Jim was called out for sexting photos to a woman while Meghan was in labor with their twin sons. Meghan accused Jim of having an affair with the nanny. She said Jim stole her credit cards out of her purse. They publicly battled about child custody and child support. Jim caught coronavirus and pneumonia. Jim is in a serious relationship with a woman he and Meghan had a threesome with, Kortnie O’Connor.
Jim shared some praise for his new love Kortnie, but he also didn’t miss an opportunity to shade Meghan with his words. Jim told his Instagram followers, “If it wasn’t for this girl, I don’t think I would be here right now. She showed up in my life just at the right time.”
Was this a specific reference to the threesome? Or did he just mean the time period when they started dating post-Meghan?
Jim continued, “Amazing that her taking a chance on a plus one weekend to Mexico pulled me out of my hole and changed my life forever. I was in such a dark place; one that I didn’t think could happen to me. I was going through hell ending a loveless and abusive relationship.”
And there’s the Meghan shade! Why couldn’t he just keep to the nice words about his new girlfriend? Why add in the insults as well? The words “abusive” and “loveless” are very extreme. How was Meghan “abusive”?
He said, “The lies and accusations that followed the breakup only put me deeper into a funk. Along came this beautiful woman by chance, who lit up my world and brought me back to life. I’m very grateful for my amazing friends, children and this amazing woman for making me a better person and father.” A better person? He can only go up from here though, right? It can’t get any worse… Or can it?

The Sun reported that NeNe is “pushing for [the spinoff] behind Bravo’s back so when they do let her go, she looks like she came out on top with something else already in the works.” That sounds like NeNe: pushing Bravo for a better contract and then acting like she had “better” plans all around.
However, an insider told the outlet, “Bravo isn’t budging on the contracts so unless she accepts that, it looks like she won’t be coming back [to RHOA].” This person said NeNe went to the E! Network, which is owned by the same parent company as Bravo. However E! “has shown no interest in green-lighting the series” at this point.
The Blast reported that the cast has mixed feelings about a NeNe return to Real Housewives of Atlanta, which isn’t surprising at all considering her issues with them.
However, Porsha Williams is “really hoping that NeNe does sign her contract and come back to the show. They’ve gotten extremely close especially during quarantine. Nene is like a mother hen to her and always is checking in on [her 1-year-old daughter] PJ, it’s sweet. They’ve come really far.” Who is the source for that info. Was it NeNe herself?

When Dorinda Medley first joined Real Housewives of New York, she was an instant fan favorite, with her hilarious one-liners and fun attitude. This season? Not so much. It was just so uncomfortable to see her (seemingly) going after Tinsley Mortimer. Even Dorinda herself admitted that it was tough to watch herself on the show this season.
Maybe things will get better in the second half of the season now that Tinsley is in Chicago and off the show. Or, perhaps, she will just misdirect her anger at another cast member, which seems to be the most likely scenario at this point.
Elyse Slaine discussed Tinsley and Dorinda’s drama during a recent appearance on Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald. Elyse said, “I do think that Dorinda was hard on Tinsley.”
However, she doesn’t think that Dorinda’s anger came out of nowhere. Elyse shared, “I think that a lot of the audience didn’t see Tinsley kind of poking the tiger a little bit as well. So, I think Dorinda has gotten an incredible amount of hate that is not 100% deserved. That being said, yes, it was often cringe-worthy because when Dorinda loses it, I don’t think a lion is a match for Dorinda when she wants to come at you, let alone Tinsley, who’s you know, more like a kitten.” Meow.
Elyse shared a specific example, “Did you notice when we were at the wine tasting and Dorinda was opening about her breakup with John [Mahdessian] and cleaning up Bluestone Manor after the flood and coming to terms with Richard’s passing, which she hadn’t really done for seven years, and Tinsley was sort of sitting on the side mocking her?”
I’m gonna have to go back and re-watch that scene. Perhaps, I overlooked it and just focused on Dorinda comparing Tinsley’s love life to a piece of chewing gum.
Still, Elyse claimed, “And I just kept thinking ‘Oh, Tinsley, please stop. This is just so not gonna go well for you.’ But, people, for some reason, chose to ignore that.”
She also addressed that horrible comment Dorinda made about Tinsley getting pregnant with a turkey baster after Tinsley announced she was moving to Chicago to be with Scott Kluth. Elyse said, “I can’t defend that” and “I was in shock.”
Still, she doesn’t feel like Dorinda just straight up hates Tinsley. Elyse theorized, “Truth be told, I feel if Tinsley called Dorinda and needed her advice for something, Dorinda would be there for her. That sounds funny to say.”
Elyse added, “I don’t understand everything Dorinda was experiencing and why it was manifesting itself the way it did, but I still believe that Dorinda is a good soul.”
She also said, “I don’t want to speak for her, but I think, watching it now, she probably realizes that she was going through a lot at the time and some of the anger was misdirected.” That’s a major understatement.
Maybe Dorinda will be able to turn things around at the reunion.
