Vicki Gunvalson is on yet another redemption tour. She just wants everyone – most notably her Real Housewives Of Orange County co-stars – to move on, move forward, and forget all the awful things she’s said and done (and dated).
First Vicki stopped by the the Wendy Williams Show where she opened up about finding love with Steve Lodge. She totally brought Wendy a Coto gift bag and they made plans to Whoop it up! OMG.
The future is bright for Vicki and Steve, but they’re proceeding with caution. “I just don’t want anymore divorces or break ups – my heart can’t handle it,” she shared.
“We want to make sure it’s forever,” she added. “I’m fifty-five, if I live to be 85 – that’s 30 great years.”
Vicki credits Steve for bringing her down to reality. Like real-reality. “For me, it was time for some peace in my life and so I’ve been really proud of that. It’s been good for me to kind of get out of the drama of fighting with ladies and just really show what a solid, good, healthy relationship has brought in my life.”
Of course Wendy had to ask about Brooks since that’s like a prerequisite for any Vicki anything. Vicki’s reaction was, “Do we have to talk about him? Uck.” Yes, yes, apparently we always do. Sadly. Wendy quizzed Vicki on if she knew he was lying, and Vicki gave her patented answer. “After we broke up all the pieces of the puzzle fell together. He would never really be honest with me; said it was never really my business since we were dating, not married. Haven’t we all dated a bad boyfriend?” she asked the audience. Yeah, we have – I’ll give her that. I’ve never quite had a ‘Brooks’ but I know people who’ve dated even worse!
Speaking of break-ups, Wendy brought up Kelly Dodd‘s divorce and, Vicki made it all about how it affects her. Naturally. “I’m sad for her and Michael because Steve and I are really close with Michael and Kelly, but I’m there for her as a friend. I’ve been divorced on public TV and it’s tough,” she continued. “It’s not easy to put your life out there and then have all the people say, ‘You shouldn’t divorce, you should divorce… ‘”
Wendy also questioned Vicki about why she’s remained on RHOC all these years, and Vicki laughed, “I dunno – cause God wants me to be!” Dang – these Orange County ladies have a personal phone line to God, don’t they?! How can I get one of those? Vicki added, “It gives me a lot of great opportunities and I’m able to help a lot of people with the resources, so why not?!” She went on to reveal that, thanks to the success from the show, Coto Insurance will be expanding into franchises. “Coto Insurance will actually be going all across the United States.” That is kinda amazing. Whoa.
Finally Wendy addressed Vicki’s terse sit-down with Tamra Judge. “She came with an agenda to leave. She didn’t come with an agenda to be OK, so I came – literally I wanted to draw a line in the sand: let’s move forward, let’s be kind to each other. We don’t have to be BFF, but we have to be nice to each other. I really want to be back in her life because it’s easier,” Vicki shrugged.
Vicki also sat down with E! News to discuss her issues with Tamra (of course) and Shannon Beador. She complains that their inability to move on has damaged the show with recycled drama. Gotta agree there!
“I don’t wanna talk about it anymore! This whole season – it’s been stuck,” Vicki complained. “I can’t get the train out of the station. It’s just we’re stuck. And I have tried; I’ve tried my best. Maybe it wasn’t right? I’m open to suggestions from the viewers – like tell me what to do. I’m hopeful because the truth of the matter is I think we’re both good people and I think we both got hurt.
Vicki is adamant that she owes Shannon no apologies. “When Shannon says she isn’t going to forgive me, I say ‘For what?‘ For me it’s easier to learn from our mistakes. I’ll learn from mine, I want the same for her and then I want to be able to move on,” she said. “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
During their coffee meeting, Vicki says Tamra immediately put her “on defense” with her abrupt “what’s up” greeting. “What’s up is that we work together and we’re friends – we gotta work this out!” snaps Vicki, who offered: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry – OK, done.”
Apparently all hope is not lost. “You’ll see some icebreaking when we’re in Iceland,” she jokes, but acknowledges, that right now, they’re still “not in a good place.”
Vicki is also adamant that she didn’t invite Ricky and Gretchen to her birthday party to be malicious *yeah right*. “I didn’t set anything up,” she insists. “It was my birthday – I wanted all the attention.” At least Vicki admits that if she could “take anything back” she would’ve never talked to Kelly about Eddie.

UPDATE: This list has been updated with more titles. _________________________________________ The Stranger Things kids are back to hunt monsters in season two, which is coming...Not that anyone feels bad for her, but NeNe Leakes has been having a tough couple of weeks. She one hundred deserves all of the clap backs and criticism, but now she’s actually suffering some consequences. No, she didn’t get dropped on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
We are going to have to endure another season of NeNe bragging about how rich she is and we will (most likely) be forced to watch her cry about the backlash after wishing rape on a stranger. No one feels bad for you, NeNe. And now she is getting dropped as the host of the Xscape reunion tour.
TMZ reports that NeNe’s RHOA costar Kandi Burruss’s band Xscape has fired her as the host of the tour. After Kandi spent all of Season 9 defending herself against false accusations of attempting to date rape Porsha Williams, there’s no chance in hell that she’s going to associate herself with NeNe more than she has to.
The group released a statement saying, “Like many, we were dismayed by the recent remarks made by our talented colleague and friend Nene Leakes. As a result, we have decided to no longer proceed with her participation on our tour. It was an unfortunate incident for which Nene has since apologized and we wish her the best as she navigates this very difficult period. As strong supporters of all women, we know this decision is what is best. Our hearts go out to all female victims and we stand with you! This tour is for and about our fans and we want to provide an entertaining and enjoyable experience for every single person who attends. As always, we are grateful for the love and support and we look forward to seeing all of you at ‘The Great Xscape’ tour.”
Telling a complete stranger to go get raped by an Uber driver is an absurd and disgusting thing to say. How did NeNe think that was acceptable, let alone funny? It wasn’t AT ALL. It will be interesting to see if any of the cast members call NeNe out for this incident during the next Real Housewives of Atlanta season.

It finally happened: Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson sat down for a one-on-one conversation after avoiding each other all season on Real Housewives of Orange County. Unfortunately for the fans, it was very anticlimactic. Vicki accused Tamra’s husband Eddie Judge of only being with her to open a up a gym and continued to bring up old rumors. Tamra calmly walked away and that was it.
Well, that was it for a minute. Now that the episode has aired (and the fans have reacted on social media), Tamra is sharing her thoughts on her (attempt at) lunch with Vicki and Peggy Sulahian’s husband Diko Sulahian confronting Shannon Beador at their anniversary party.
Tamra was calm, cool, and collected during her meeting with Vicki, but she let it all out in her Bravo blog post. Tamra wrote, “Let’s be honest: it’s hard to forgive someone when they keep hurting you. It’s even harder when that person has NO remorse for what they’re doing.” What the fuck did Vicki think she was doing? She continued to stir shit up with Tamra and bash her husband, yet she somehow expected to walk away as rekindled best friends?
Tamra explained, “I agreed to sit down with Vicki so I could let go of things. I didn’t want it to affect me anymore. If we could find a place where we could move forward, that would be great. But I knew it would take a long time before I trusted her.”
And then she really went in and listened the “true signs of a pathological liar” and how they apply to Vicki: “BELIEVES THEIR OWN LIES: I really do think that Vicki believes her own lies. She’s so used to lying and getting away with it that it’s become a way of life. Even when she’s caught, she calls it ‘fabricating.’ Never truly admitting she’s wrong.” Vicki has been on this show longer than anyone. Shouldn’t she- of all people- be aware that the cameras capture everything and that whoever is editing these episodes is going to include any applicable flashback scenes whenever she lies or goes back on something she’s previously said.
Tamra continued with the list: “LOOKS LIKE THE VICTIM: Immediately, Vicki accused me of things that I had done to her, none of them true. I asked her for examples of what I did, and she couldn’t give me even one. She just yelled and said I was interrupting her. The whole conversation was about how she’s the victim.” Maybe if Tamra showed up with that constantly-requested casserole, Vicki would have been too busy eating to yell at her.
The next item on Tamra’s list? “NEVER ADMITS GUILT: Not once did she admit her guilt. She has no guilt or remorse for spreading rumors about Eddie or inviting people to her party to create bigger lies. She truly believes that everyone in this world has done her wrong, Therefore, she is justified in ‘punishing’ me.” Vicki invited all of Tamra’s sworn enemies to have a blatantly orchestrated conversation about Eddie cheating on Tamra and denied it even though it was all captured by the cameras and she was called out on social media. Again, Vicki has been on this show the longest. Shouldn’t she be way better at playing this game? She is fucking up left and right.
What else is Vicki guilty of? Tamra added, “SHIFTS BLAME: Instead of taking responsibility for her own actions, she tried to blame me for the things she was doing to me. All she did was insult me and make up more lies about Eddie.”
And here’s the kicker: “COVERS UP WITH MORE LIES: When I asked Vicki why Eddie would be with me if he was gay, she told me that maybe he wanted me to buy him a gym. WOW! She just created a new lie, one that I have actually heard that she’s been telling people around town. Eddie hasn’t needed my financial help EVER. We are partners in CUT Fitness. In fact, he worked at the law firm that he had been employed at for 13 years while we built CUT. This woman just can’t stop!” It is so obvious that Vicki is desperate to be Tamra’s friend, but her contingency plans to sabotage Tamra’s life if she doesn’t take her back are transparent and poorly executed. The veteran is making so many JV moves.
I was waiting for Tamra to come at Vicki with another iconic line à la “THAT’S MY OPINION!” or “You’re psychotic, Jesus Jugs” or “Is your ass jealous of the shit that comes out of your mouth?” Unfortunately for the viewers, we were not blessed with any new meme material. Fortunately for Tamra, she truly handled herself well. Tamra recalled, “I knew I had to get up and walk away before I lost it. She’s proved to me that she’s incapable of being a good person and doing the right thing. She doesn’t deserve my friendship.” Tamra even went so far to say, “She’s not a good friend, and I’m starting to question if she ever was.”
Tamra declared, “I tried, and now I know where we stand, and I can move forward. Yes, I forgive her, but I don’t want to be her doormat anymore.” I’m all for moving forward (and hopefully resurrecting this season), but Tamra was never anyone’s “doormat.” Or at least not when it comes to this show.
The other major thing that went down aside from that failed reconciliation was Diko’s decision to confront Shannon at his own party… for something David Beador said. Tamra wrote, “Diko pulled Shannon aside to talk to her about David. Kind of a bitch move, if you ask me. If he had a problem with David, then he should have taken it out with David.” Agreed.
Tamra continued, “You can tell Shannon was blindsided and had no idea what happened on the boat. I thought it was a weird conversation to have at your own anniversary party. Next time, call David and talk to him. I couldn’t imagine Eddie EVER doing that.” Even when gossiping about Eddie is the only story line this season, he still manages to stay out of the cast drama. Take notes, Diko. Hopefully Diko won’t be able to apply these notes and Peggy will not return for another season, but one can only dream.

Patrick Bolton had a hard road ahead of him no matter how you looked at it. And no Lauren, not just because “red-heads can’t be trusted”! Patrick was a loud and eccentric personality that made him an instant target in the game, and it was that way right from the start. Not only did he stick out like a sore thumb, but he also wasn’t playing the game all that well, as Episode 3 displayed pretty clearly. First, Patrick would go off in search of the hidden Idol in plain sight of the other tribe mates, which as Ryan pointed out, is a Survivor 1o1 no-no. He then did not communicate all that well – or at all – with his teammates during the Immunity Challenge, which pretty much cost them. Ali – his one true ally (and former college classmate) – could only do so much to save Patrick…he skirted through last week’s Tribal, but ultimately his tribe decided to keep Lauren over him this week.
I had the chance to speak to Patrick today on the FilmSurvivor Podcast (the full audio of which you can find and download at the bottom of this article). But here were some highlights:
PATRICK BOLTON INTERVIEW:
On if he still has hard feelings after being blindsided:
Patrick Bolton: (Laughs) It definitely brings back the emotions, but as far as me being mad at them for voting me out, no, I’m not mad at them. I consider them my friends and I think they’re great people. Did they make a great decision in voting me off? Heck no! I should have gone to the next episode! I definitely am still frustrated that they voted me off but I like them all and they’re great people.
On his prior relationship with Ali:
Patrick: Ali and I definitely knew each other. We ended up being neighbors in college, she lived about 3 or 4 houses up the street from me. We’ve been to several parties together, we’ve been to a rodeo event where we were there together for the entire day. So we weren’t close-close friends, but we definitely were close associates and we would always say “hey” when we saw each other. It definitely should have played more of an advantage in both of our games, but going in we both decided to keep it sort of low-key and don’t let anybody know that we know each other, because that definitely would negatively affect us if other people knew that we knew each other off the game (NOTE: As he reveals later in the Podcast, the other players had no idea of their relationship until AFTER the game was over, which is when and how Simone knew about them).
On why he wasn’t able to connect with Lauren:
Patrick: You know, we should have connected, it was just poor game-play on my end. I should have been able to find some common connection that we could have talked about, fishing being one. You know, I’m from Alabama, I’ve been fishing so many times. But you know, our personalities just didn’t line up. I thought that there was no chance that other people would want to take her along. So I kind of thought, well I’m good, why do I need to cultivate this relationship?

Still reeling from the end of last week's Outlander? And still reeling even more from the fact that you have to wait a whole extra week to find out what happens next? We feel you....As Kathy Wakile once said, Real Housewives of New Jersey really is “the Teresa show.” RHONJ historians recall that Teresa Giudice’s cousin declared that during a reunion episode argument and she didn’t mean it in a flattering way, but the quote still stands. Teresa Giudice is Real Housewives of New Jersey. Real Housewives of New Jersey is Teresa Giudice.
They even delayed filming seven months to wait for Teresa to come home from prison. Hell, they had a three-part episode where Teresa talked to her family via speaker phone. That’s right: SPEAKER PHONE. Teresa was able to carry this show via phone call, so of course anyone with eyes and ears knows that she is THE queen of the show. Like her or not, she has been and will always be the center piece of this show. With that said, everyone on the show does what they can to be in her good graces, so it’s interesting to know what Teresa thinks of all of her potential soldiers costars.
Before getting into the RHONJ antics during her Watch What Happens Live appearance, Teresa told host Andy Cohen that her husband Joe Giudice, “watches this all the time in… there.” By there, we all know that she means “prison,” but even Andy was walking on egg shells around Queen Tre. He asked, “He watches us in the….?” Yes, the host of this show cut himself off in order to be sensitive to Teresa and I was living for it. Teresa declared, “They love Bravo there.” I mean come on, who doesn’t love Bravo? Everyone loves Bravo. Or at least anyone who is reading this loves Bravo.
Before Teresa stormed out of Siggy Flicker’s home in Boca Raton, she made sure to point out that the chef Siggy hired made salty crab cakes. So of course Andy had to ask, “Were the crab cakes really salty?” Teresa admitted, ” A little bit, but he was an amazing chef. I feel bad.”
Teresa declared, “I feel like this is one of the best seasons,” but then again pretty much every tenured reality star says this once a year. With that said, Andy did agree and added, “I am loving it. I just saw the Posche fashion show over the weekend.” Instead of taking that cue to make a dig at the notorious Kim D, Teresa just said, “No comment.” Teresa chucking that chair after she spelled out “Posche” is an iconic moment. I only saw it in the trailer (fifty times over) and I get hyped up every single time. I cannot wait to see it play out when that episode actually airs.
A viewer asked Teresa if Siggy was “too dramatic about not being invited to the wreath memorial.” Teresa had Sig’s back and said, “I understand why she was upset. I know she really wanted to be there.” Margaret Josephs started taking shots at Siggy the second she “introduced” her to the cast. Siggy also told her “go fuck yourself” the night before, so it isn’t surprising that Margaret didn’t ask to extend the yoga session so she could give Siggy and Dolores Catania time to put on makeup and head to the beach to film a scene for the memorial.
Even though Margaret felt compelled to throw a memorial for Teresa‘s mother after knowing her for a day, the fans wanted to know how people who have known Teresa for years reacted to the passing of her mother and who reached out. Someone called in to find out, “if Jacqueline [Laurita] reached out to you after your mom passed and if there’s any hope of you two making amends.” Teresa shared, “she sent me a text” and gave a firm “no” to the second part of the question about making amends. That is definitely not happening- especially if Jacqueline isn’t a Real Housewife.
Speaking of long time friends, another viewer told Teresa, “You knew Dolores pre-Housewives, do you feel like she’s changed since being on the show?” Teresa answered with, “No, I don’t feel like she’s changed.” Dolores seems like a pretty grounded person to me. Teresa confirmed that she’s known Dolores “for over twenty years.” She also joked, “she’s just not loyal to me,” making herself hysterically laugh. She emphasized, “I’m only kidding. I love her. I’m kidding. I’m kidding.” We all saw the trailer where Teresa yelled at Dolores about standing up for her, so it will be interesting to see what that heated exchange was actually about.
A fan asked Teresa, “How can you forgive Danielle [Staub], but cannot speak with Kathy and Rosie [Pierri]?” Teresa said, “because Danielle’s a stranger and we had words. Family doesn’t do what family did to me.” Last year, Teresa clarified that she was “done” with her cousins when they didn’t reach out to her at all while she was in jail, but showed up to her book signing…. while the RHONJ cameras were rolling.
A caller wanted to know if Teresa felt, “that because Siggy brought Margaret into the group that Margaret needs to be blindly loyal to Siggy?” Come on, that’s a very loaded question with the word “blindly” thrown in there. No one should ever be “blindly” loyal to anyone. Loyal, yes, but blindly loyal, that’s not a good thing. Anyway, the new zen Teresa continued to keep her cool and declared, “I mean, no. Margaret’s her own person. It’s how she feels inside.”

Say you're an actor on Grey's Anatomy and you find out that your character's going to be diagnosed with a massive brain tumor in the upcoming season. Judging the show's...After a tough start during her first season Kelly Dodd has truly turned things around on Real Housewives of Orange County. She’s giving us the meme and gif-worthy arguments that we live for, but she’s not holding any long grudges. She has struck the perfect Housewife balance and she’s honestly the only one in this cast who has.
Everyone else refuses to interact with each other which makes it feel like I’m watching seven different TV shows spread out over an hour every Monday night. This was supposed to be the lead-in show for Dallas and the Texas women are blowing the OC out of the water this year. Thankfully they’re saving Monday night for the Housewives viewers. But anyway, this season is horrible aside from Kelly’s contributions. Kelly is the only one who is socializing with every other cast member, she brings it with her own personal story lines, and her quotes. I never in a million years thought I would say this, but Kelly is the only reason this season is worth watching. I hope they turn things around, but they’ve spent every episode so far ignoring each other and talking about things that happened two seasons ago. Move on or get off the show.
Now that Kelly has struck that balance of being controversial and likable, she is applying that to her Bravo blog post about the last episode. Even though Kelly has been tight with Vicki Gunvalson since her first day on the show, she actually does seem to support her desire to rekindle with Tamra Judge. That’s how it should be, but most Housewives just get jealous when their bestie has another bestie… or friend… or acquaintance. Kelly wrote, “Yay! Vicki and Tamra finally got together to have “the talk” to try to rekindle their friendship!”
Even though Kelly has maintained her status as Vicki’s most loyal friend in the cast, she had to admit, “Damn, what the hell just happened? Vicki screwed up, that’s what happened. Apparently, the colonic didn’t remove all the toxins, because when Vicki sat down with Tamra, she had a bad case of diarrhea of the mouth.” How did Vicki think that was the best way to go? She said she just wanted to be friends during her on-camera interviews, but she was so abrasive when it came to perpetuating the same rumors about Eddie Judge AGAIN. Vicki really did fuck that one up. It wasn’t even good TV on her part.
Kelly admitted, “It pains me to say this, as Vicki is my very dear friend, but I cannot understand how she screwed up so badly with Tamra. For some reason, despite her best intentions, Vicki let her anger over past transgressions cloud her judgment. You know Vicki blew it when Tamra comes across as the calm, rational person who righteously walks away with her dignity intact.”
Kelly also discussed that obnoxious Lydia McLaughlin shopping scene. Thankfully, her mom Judy is a total gem, but that was the only good thing about the segment. It wasn’t a good look for Lydia. Not only did she seem like a spoiled brat, but she spent all that time getting gifts from her mom only to show up to Peggy Sulahian’s party without a present for her. Kelly wrote, “In addition to lots of sunshine and drama, the OC has an abundance of realtors, lawyers, plastic surgeons and trust fund kids. If my mom was able to lavish extravagant gifts on me, the way Judy does for Lydia, I would be all rainbows and fairy dust, too.”
Even though Kelly has been an avid Vicki supporter, she couldn’t help joking about Vicki’s very awkward) interaction with Peggy’s son KoKo: “It’s a good thing Koko was there or Vicki would have no one to talk to.” She also remarked, “All of us, except apparently Lydia, enjoyed the belly dancer’s performance, but Koko seemed to enjoy it the most. ” Lydia doesn’t seem to enjoy anything.. other than promoting her magazine and talking about her husband’s balls.
Kelly later said, “I am pretty sure Lydia has never been to a strip club. Confusing a belly dancer in a family restaurant with a stripper shows how insulated Lydia’s life is. Let’s see: Lydia is uncomfortable with drag queens, cross-dressing, discussing her boob job in front of men, and belly dancing, but totally comfortable telling everyone about Doug’s [McLaughlin] beautiful balls. Huh??” Why is Lydia on this show? She doesn’t contribute and she doesn’t seem to approve of any group activity. Why would she put herself through that? Better yet, what about the viewers? Why would she subject us to watching this?
In a strange turn of events, Kelly has become the one person who is cool with every person in the cast. This can only last for so long. These women are all about picking sides. They even pushed for Kelly and Michael Dodd to sit at their table during Peggy’s party. Kelly shared, “Considering the friction in Tamra and Vicki’s relationship, any time they are in the same room together, it’s awkward. Now that I am friendly with all the ladies, it was inevitable that choosing which table to sit at for dinner was going to be a challenge. Fortunately, I was in the bathroom when everyone started to sit, so Michael grabbed the first available seats, which happened to be with Shannon [Beador], Tamra and Meghan [Edmonds]. Vicki saying there was a power struggle on where I should sit was just paranoia on her part.” This is what the show has come down to? Choosing a seat at a dinner party? Riveting stuff.
One person who was stirring up some actual drama at the event was Peggy’s husband Diko Sulahian. He was offended by David Beador asking about Peggy’s cancer diagnosis so instead of waiting to talk to David, he decided to pull Shannon aside to discuss it. 1. Why would he do this? 2. Why would he do this at his own party to celebrate his wedding anniversary? I feel like there were way more enjoyable interactions to be had that night.
Kelly joked, “Diko apparently never received the syllabus on what to do (and what not do) when your wife becomes a Real Housewife. Rule #1: Husbands should not confront a Housewife who is not your ‘Wife. It’s never going to go well for you. However, having said that, it seems Diko wants to be the eighth housewife, so maybe the rules don’t apply to him.” Meghan has also theorized that Diko wanted to be on this show more than Peggy does, so there is probably some truth to the thought. Kelly and Meghan don’t agree on much these days, so this is pretty telling. Plus it could explain why Peggy has brought absolutely nothing to the table so far. She’s just not that into it.
Kelly continued, “Breaking rule #1, Diko chose to take Shannon aside and discuss what he perceived as David’s interrogation of him on the boat (regarding Peggy’s cancer). Diko blindsided Shannon with the topic, but I thought Shannon handled the situation well. Shannon exuded class as she spoke to Peggy about what Diko had said then walked away keeping her composure.” She really did. Peggy jokingly broke a plate earlier in the night so I was afraid that Shannon was going to follow her lead, but Shannon kept her cool this time.

Lea Michele has a lot of opinions and she's not afraid to tell it like it is...about Bravo's various Real Housewives shows. Michele was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen alongside...After last week’s premiere, I felt like the ladies of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey were finally bringing their A-game to Bravo. Like, maybe a producer sat them down and had a Friday Night Lights pep talk with them before cameras started rolling? Because the ingredient-zes in this year’s Sunday gravy seem just right! Maybe it’s the addition of powerhouse-in-pigtails Margaret Josephs, or maybe it’s the shock of seeing Danielle Staub’s face back on our TV screens without waiting for someone to spontaneously punch it? I don’t know. But I’m here for it!
Last night, cake-gate escalated into a mid-dinner walk out after Siggy Flicker called Melissa Gorga and (by proxy) Teresa Giudice trash. Danielle had a sudden bout of PTSD when she heard the T-word, railing against Siggy with all of the season-one angst she could muster. Dolores Catania continued to look like she’d rather be elsewhere, which kind of makes me question what she’s bringing to the table this year – other than an empty house and a fake storyline of he ex-hubby moving back in? And Teresa went to the beach with Margaret, Melissa, and Danielle to honor her late mother, Antonia, with a heart wrenching (but very sweet) flower ceremony.
We pick up at the very moment we left off in last week, post-cake-throw by the shore in Boca. Siggy has just told Margaret to kindly go f–k herself, which Mags doesn’t immediately respond to. She’s gonna file that one away for later. Everyone else will have to do the same, because next Siggy tells them ALL to go f–k themselves! Teresa kinda/sorta feels bad for throwing the cake, but meh. Not bad enough to respond to Siggy’s tirade that they “all act like animals.”
The next morning, Teresa calls home to check in on her father and the girls while Melissa calls home to Joe Gorga. Mel tells Joe about Siggy getting mad about the cake and – speak of the devil – Siggy is also on the phone with her husband talking about how messy this group acted the night before. Joe can’t believe that Siggy called his wife an animal. Only he’s allowed to do that! Siggy can’t believe she paid hundreds of dollars for a cake with Envy wallpaper on it.
Back in Jersey, Frank and Frankie are attempting to do dishes in a barren kitchen and discuss Frankie’s future – not necessarily in that order. Why haven’t you sent your college applications in yet?! demands Frank. Frankie has no answers beyond half-smirking at his dad, who must have pulled some advice from one of Siggy’s self-help books because he just robotically orders that “failure’s not an option, bro.”
In Boca, Margaret jokes about breaking a cankle as she climbs into the van with Danielle, Teresa, and Melissa to go do yoga on the beach. Margaret was brought into this group by Siggy, but after her reaction the night before, Mags is rethinking her alliances friendships. Danielle thinks Siggy is a giant control freak, plain and simple, while the entire group wonders if Siggy – the Gemini – has an evil narcissistic twin named Soggy. Soggy Flucker? Floggy Sucker? Whatever it is – it ain’t good.
On the beach, Teresa leads the group in yoga practice, but it’s Danielle who woos the crowd and young children passing by with her extremely flexible hip joints. At a juice bar across town, Siggy complains to Dolores about the group “embarrassing her” in public. As if her Oprah-like screaming and shouting in the restaurant spoke of the reserved decorum Siggy so oft displays. Riiiiiiiight. In any case, Siggy plans to confront everyone later on her Lady of the Manor expectations.
As a surprise to Teresa, Margaret has a white floral wreath delivered to the beach along with note cards and single white roses. She suggests performing a ritual she once witnessed in Hawaii, which involves writing notes to loved ones who’ve passed on, then sending them, along with their single flowers, on a floating wreath out to sea. Teresa is touched by the gesture, and everyone gets down to business writing to their loved ones.
Melissa writes to her father and mother in law, Danielle to her mom, and Margaret to her grandmother, afterward reading their notes aloud to the group through tears. But when Teresa reads her card to the group, she breaks down into hard sobs. She misses her mom immensely, which is only natural – and, again, totally heartbreaking to witness. “You can see the pain that Teresa’s in,” comments Melissa, which is the understatement of the century.
Teresa then takes the paddle board out to sea with an instructor, sets the wreath free and thinks about what an amazing person Margaret is for putting this beautiful ritual together. And I don’t really give a toss what Margaret’s motivation for doing this was; I commend her for bringing a sweet moment of tenderness into the group – and into this show. It’s a welcome change of pace. “I love you, mommy,” says Teresa as she kisses her rose and sets it afloat. “I love you more than anything.”
Back in NJ, Giacinto is wrangling the Giudice girls while Joe comes over with his kids for a visit. Gia is apparently with her boyfriend at the moment, which Joe side-eyes. His daughter won’t be dating until she’s 48! Alright, enough of this.
As riveting as Joe’s dating advice is, it’s already time to travel back down south, where Siggy and Dolores have rejoined the group before tennis. As the ladies awkwardly travel in a van together, desperately staring at their phones in hopes that no one engages them in conversation, Siggy tries to play it cool. She’s hoping that Teresa and Melissa “have had time to reflect” on their poor behavior and are now prepared to offer up an apology. Um, Siggy, five bucks and a wish will get you bus fare, but it ain’t gonna get you an apology from any Real Housewives ’round here! They throw cake to KEEP THEIR JOBS, girlfriend. Check your Bravo playbook.
At Siggy’s friend, Laurie’s, home, Siggy can’t stand the tension anymore. She tells the group that things were taken too far the night before, and she’s hoping that “tennis racquets don’t go flying.” Melissa and Teresa take offense, wondering if Siggy is trying to school them on how to act? Uh, yes. Yes, she is. They’re lucky they weren’t put in a time out! muses Siggy. At least Laurie isn’t bothered by the rift in this group. She pleasantly regales them with the story of her friendship with Siggy, and how her OB/GYN husband looks at roughly 40 vaginas a day. So…small talk for rich people?
At lunch, Danielle tells everyone about the ritual Margaret arranged at the beach, which shocks Dolores and Siggy, who feel instantly left out of an important filming moment. In all fairness, Dolores – who’s known Teresa and her family since she was sixteen – really did get shafted here, mostly because she hitched her wagon to Siggy. But wasn’t Siggy unresponsive to texts and calls earlier that morning? She might want to rethink crying over spilled cake next time. Perhaps it’s not worth it in the end.
While most of the girls play tennis, Teresa gets her private swim lessons on with some sort of Fabio impersonator. She’s feeling no fear in Mr. Hunky Manbun’s arms, and is silently whispering NAMASTE to Laurie, her erstwhile ambassador of sexually charged swim lessons. Holy balls, this is actually a funny scene – what with the fountains spilling over Tre in the background, Melissa and Danielle watching from the sidelines, and Mr. Hunky Manbun trying to wrangle Teresa’s fish-flapping in between screams. Does this entire scene not contain, at minimum, at least three amazing GIFs waiting to happen?
Meanwhile, Siggy is telling Laurie about cake-gate, and about not receiving an apology for it yet. Laurie agrees that it is terrible behavior, and thinks it’s unacceptable to let the incident go without apology. Dolores chats with Margaret about it in a side conversation, and it’s clear that lines are being drawn more deeply into the quicksand between them. Dolores thinks Mags is a turncoat for siding with Tre and her gang against Siggy, especially because Siggy is the one who, like, invented her, ya know!?!
At Siggy’s condo later, Dolores joins her to “set up” for dinner, which is code for “b*tch about everyone else again before they get here.” In the van ride over, Margaret fills Melissa, Danielle, and Teresa in on how upset Dolores is about being left out of the flower memorial – and how heated Siggy still is about the cake throwing. But Teresa is still bristling over Siggy’s comments about them having a low IQ, which – if we all remember our RHONJ history lessons – is what sent her table-flipping on Danielle years ago. Calling Teresa stupid is like poking an angry rattlesnake. Or in Tre’s case, an angry rattlesnake wearing leopard print.
After everyone arrives at Siggy’s and admires the four thousand self-portraits she has hanging over every inch of the joint, the group sips some wine before dinner. Siggy sits down with Teresa alone, noticing the ‘tude Tre is serving up. But it’s not until dinner time that Siggy strikes. Barely two bites into their appetizer, Siggy finally cracks. She is sick of these rude b*tches acting like nothing happened, and tells Melissa and Teresa straight up that she expected an apology first thing this morning. But no! NO APOLOGY HAS COME FORTH!
Melissa sits in disbelief, defending the cake fight as just a little “harmless fun.” In her opinion, Siggy actually ruined the night by crying and screaming over a silly situation. Why couldn’t it just be a girls gone wild moment, period? Dolores thinks Melissa may not need to apologize for the cake, per se, but should apologize for hurting Siggy’s feelings – which is an argument of semantics, not to mention confusing.
Teresa fires back that Siggy went too low when she called them all “animals from Jersey,” but Siggy just doubles down on it. They are animals! And moreover, she thinks Margaret is a human iceberg with no compassion! Unfazed, Mags just basically snarks that “Soggy Flicker” needs to get a grip. Like, now.
Siggy continues to rail that no one gets it. NO ONE!!! Well, no one but Dolores. At this point, Melissa doesn’t want this Siggy-Teacher-Voice in her ear anymore, and tells her so. Margaret also calls Siggy out on embarrassing her own damn self at that restaurant with her psychotic welcome-wagon HELLO!’s to everyone in the tri-county area.
Now set ALL the way off, Siggy goes to the next level of Jersey insults – straight past Yo Mama, cutting a left turn at stripper wh*re, and heading right into: You can continue going out and acting like TRASH if you want! Record scratch. Eeeeerrrrrrrrk. Them is fightin’ words to the Gorgas and Giudices, not to mention to Danielle, who nearly jumps across poor Dolores to get in Siggy’s face screaming, “DO NOT USE THAT WORD IN MY PRESENCE AGAIN!!!!!!!!”
“Trashy! Trashy! Trashy!” Siggy screams back, clapping her hands to the beat of her new homemade rap. Melissa wonders if Siggy is on drugs or just looking to be the breakout star this season, grabbing her purse to storm off. In solidarity, Teresa gets up too, reminding Siggy that she’s allied with her sister in law now (in case anyone is confused). Thus, they bounce.
Siggy doesn’t want to have dinner with them anymore, anyway! But she does (hilariously) offer them a doggie bag on the way out. Teresa just snarks no thanks “because the crab cake was too salty!” HA. This is apparently the biggest insult of all, it seems, because Siggy then brings herself to dutifully apologize to the “Sexy Chef” for her friends’ rude behavior. (Um, did she mention they’re from Jersey?)
TELL US: IS SIGGY OVERREACTING, OR ARE TERESA AND MELISSA NOT COPPING TO THEIR BAD BEHAVIOR? DID MARGARET EXCLUDE SIGGY AND DOLORES FROM THE FLOWER MEMORIAL ON PURPOSE TO GAIN ALLIANCES WITHIN THE OTHER GROUP?
