Sonja Morgan’s Wildest Moments on Real Housewives of New York

Sonja Morgan made her return to reality TV on July 9, 2023 with the premiere of her new spinoff, Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. The New York native previously starred on Real Housewives of New York for 10 seasons. In honor of her Bravo comeback, let’s revisit some of Sonja Morgan’s wildest moments.

When She Washed Her Panties in a Bidet

In the Season 9 episode, The Etiquette of Friendship, Sonja surprised fans everywhere when she decided to wash a pair of underwear in her bidet. The New York native had limited time to prepare for a date and we guess she figured the basin was close enough to a washing machine.

“Panty soup,” she said as she dipped her intimates into the bidet. Classic Sonja.

When She Threw a Funeral for Her Dog

In the Season 6 episode, Requiem for a Poodle, Sonja threw a funeral for her beloved dog Millou. The RHONY star looked chic for the event, dressed in a black dress with a fascinator on her head.

In typical Sonja fashion, the funeral was totally over-the-top. There was alcohol, outrageous fashion choices, and a truly memorable speech from the mourning doggy mom. “He was just so elegant and regal,” she lamented. “He was the best thing that ever happened before my daughter.

Luan de Lesseps said it best, “I can’t believe I’m at a doggy memorial service in the middle of the day.”

Her Drive-By Lesbian Moment

In the Season 11 episode, Making Up Is Hard to Do, Sonja shocked her fellow housewives when she had a spontaneous makeout session with another woman at a club. A woman across the room shouted to Sonja, “Can I come and kiss you?” and she welcomed the romantic gesture with open arms.

“It was like a drive-by lesbian moment,” Bethenny Frankel said in a confessional.

Her Confusing Speech

Sonja is known for her grand speeches. In the Season 6 finale, The Last Leg, the fashion designer threw a party to celebrate her growing brand. At the event, she gave a speech that left her party-goers scratching their heads.

“Tonight we are celebrating you [because] you are all a part of me and I am you,” Sonja said to a group of confused listeners.

Ramona Singer summed up Sonja’s bizarre speech perfectly. “Sonja gave this speech but it wasn’t a speech it was a book,” Ramona said. “And no one understood really what the point of the speech was. It made no sense at all.”

When She Stripped Down in Mexico

Sonja certainly isn’t winning any awards for being the most reserved housewife. In the Season 9 episode, Make Out, Make Up, she proved she was the life of the party during a girls’ trip in Mexico.

The women were enjoying a relaxing day at the pool when Sonja decided to take off her clothes and jump in the water. The RHONY star swam around while taking breaks to sip on her Skinny Girl tequila cocktail.

When She Revealed She Washes Her Sex Toys in the Dishwasher

In the Season 9 premiere episode, Talk of the Town, Sonja caught the attention of fans when she revealed that she washes her sex toys in her dishwasher…along with her other dishes.

The moment left some fans saying T.M.I., but we have to give Sonja props for being so open on camera.

When She Asked ‘What Are You Doing Here Without Dorinda?’

In Season 7 episode, Battle of the Brunches, Sonja had fans applauding at home when she confronted Dorinda Medley‘s longtime boyfriend John Mahdessian at a New York club. The blonde beauty grilled John about his decision to show up to a nightclub without his girlfriend.

“What are you doing here without Dorinda?” she asked John. The quote has become a favorite among Real Housewives fans. Fans loved seeing Sonja have her friend’s back in this Season 7 moment.

Signs That Charity Lawson Will Find Lasting Love on The Bachelorette

Charity Lawson has already had quite the journey looking for love on The Bachelorette, and it looks like she may be successful in finding her end goal. The men on The Bachelorette Season 20 seem to really be in it for Charity, and most of them would do anything just to get a second alone with her. Recent seasons of The Bachelorette have not ended in success, although Charity’s season might have the potential to break the unlucky streak! These are the signs that Charity Lawson will find love on her season.

Charity’s Men Are There for the Right Reasons

The first sign that Charity will likely find love is the fact that all of her men appear to be in it for the right reasons. Charity has a sincere group of men, who have all shown interest in her and made notable efforts to get to know her on a deeper level. In the past, contestants have joined the show for clout or to gain Instagram followers, but none of the men in Charity’s group have given off those vibes.

And while Brayden Bowers has earned the title of season villain, it cannot be said that he is really there for the wrong reasons. Brayden clearly cares for Charity and has a real connection with her, but he is unsure about how he feels regarding the process overall.

In addition to Brayden, all of Charity’s other men have also shown that they are taking part in her journey for the right reasons. A couple stand outs so far this season have been Aaron Bryant, Joey Graziadei, and John Buresh. Even Warwick Reider, who got sent home after a very sleepy one on one date, was there for the right reasons, but just wasn’t compatible with Charity.

Charity Already Has a Lot of Strong Connections

Another sign that Charity will surely find love in the weeks ahead is that she already has a lot of strong connections, especially so early on. All of Charity’s men have been consistent, and none of them have initiated a breakup with her, as many contestants have done with leads in the past.

One of Charity’s strongest connections so far is Aaron, who also received the first one on one date of the season. Charity also hit it off with Brayden, who was the recipient of her first impression rose, as well as a one-on-one date in San Diego. Joey has also built a strong relationship with Charity, after breaking the record for Bachelor Nation‘s longest kiss with her!

John is another contender, and he continues to build a stronger foundation with Charity each episode. Dotun Olubeko is also a strong connection, who received the group date rose after opening up to Charity. Finally, Xavier Bonner has also proven himself to Charity each week, and even took the initiative to knit her an adorable scarf.

The One-On-One Dates This Season Are Good Quality Time

In the past, producers have had a habit of making one-on-one dates outrageous activities, that couples would almost never do on a real first date. However, all of the one-on-one dates from Charity’s season so far have been real life activities partners would actually partake in, which is a good sign. Through spending real quality time together and doing things they would actually do in real life, Charity is surely on the path to finding her person.

Charity’s first one-on-one with Aaron was a simple picnic, followed by the evening dinner portion. While they did have the privilege to roam around the Hollywood sign, the two really got to know one another through just having conversations. The date was successful, and its simple nature can be attributed to that.

Charity also had a meaningful one on one with Brayden, at a baseball park in his hometown of San Diego. The date meant a lot to Brayden, who was happy to tell Charity all about his hometown and memories he had growing up. And while Warwick’s amusement park date might not have gone the way he planned, this is still a great idea, as it is something couples do all the time in the real world.

The Most Problematic Real Housewives

Even the Real Housewives franchise has a few loose ends that often need tying up. A housewife has become problematic for the network on more than one occasion. Whether it be due to contract negotiations or speaking at the wrong time, some Bravo talents just don’t think before they act. This personality trait also comes with a lot of backlash and makes said housewife a pariah.

Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills sure used her soap opera actress skills to make her mark on the franchise, but not always in a good way. In 2022, Lisa was called out for her racist comments after she tried to defend herself against an argument with co-star Garcelle Beauvais. The Melrose Place alum wrote in an Instagram Story, “We fight on our show if we fight with Garcelle, we are all of a sudden called racist. That’s bulls—t. I will not accept that. I will express myself when and how I want, and I am not afraid of any of you hoes.”

The mother of two also earned no brownie points after making Denise Richards‘ life a living hell. During Season 10, Lisa was like a dog with a bone as she ruthlessly went after the former James Bond actor about her alleged affair with Brandi Glanville. Fans and the network grew tired of Lisa’s antics. After eight seasons, she was finally let go from the cast.

Kenya Moore

Every time Kenya Moore‘s name is brought up, all that pops into our minds, and most likely lives there rent-free, is her chant, “Kenya Moore hair care!” It’s clear she is a go-getter when it comes to business. However, she is also a go-getter when it comes to throwing down with her co-stars. There have been too many times when Bravo was forced to step in because Kenya crossed the line.

The mother of one has brought annoying props to reunion sets which have incited a riot. She hired a full marching band to crash Marlo Hampton‘s wig launch event. And she even was caught on camera flirting with Apollo Nida, Phaedra Park‘s jailbird ex-husband. Kenya is always entertaining, but she is also a troublemaker.

Jen Shah

Where do we even start with this Real Housewives of Salt Lake City housewife? Not only is Jen Shah a compulsive liar, she is dangerous to those around her due to the secret lifestyle she hid from everyone. Jen was a physical fighter who allowed her anger always to get the best of her.

Jen definitely loved the drama. However, she also seemed to enjoy the high she got when she screamed at her co-stars at the top of her lungs. Jen often threw items, like when at Top Golf, and even tried to splash water on Bravo’s costly cameras. But with 6.5 years still, to serve in prison, the mother of two shouldn’t be a thorn in the network’s side for a while.

Phaedra Parks

For multiple seasons, Phaedra was a fan favorite on Real Housewives of Atlanta, thanks to her one-liners and Southern belle attitude. However, after becoming upset with Kandi Burruss, her reputation with the network went downhill. Phaedra was fired from the franchise after it came to light that she tried to spread rumors about Kandi trying to have sex with Porsha. The gossip could have been career-damaging to the Grammy Award Winner and forced Bravo to make a cut.

Kelly Dodd

It’s a wonder Kelly Dodd lasted as long as she did on Real Housewives of Orange County, since she was always upsetting someone. Kelly always had some strong opinions, but they crossed a line once she married Fox news anchor, Rick Leventhal.

As the pandemic hit, Kelly was caught saying the worldwide issue was “God’s way of thinning the heard.” She also mocked the Black Lives Matter movement by wearing a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat to her bridal shower. Kelly has also made racist comments in the past. Ultimately, Bravo had no other choice but to fire the controversial housewife in 2021. Honestly, good riddance, as she was probably the worst of them all.
