Brett Caprioni Speaks Out After Getting Fired From Vanderpump Rules

Vanderpump Rules Cast Member Brett Caprioni Speaks Out After Getting Fired

The fall out continues. Just yesterday, news dropped that four cast members of Vanderpump Rules were fired for racist behavior. To the shock of fans, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were the ones let go. Stassi and Kristen for making false accusations against Faith Stowers. Max and Brett for racist tweets that resurfaced.

The damage is far and wide for them. Stassi has lost sponsors and her podcast has been removed from all platforms. She’s been dumped by both her PR firm and her agent. The publisher of Kristen’s newly released book will run from her if they are smart. Max and Brett lost a prime opportunity to be on TV and leverage it like the rest of the cast has. In short, they all blew it. But Bravo and the fans have spoken and racism in any form will not be tolerated. Which is exactly how it should be.

Now Brett is speaking out about his firing. In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, Brett says,“While I’m disappointed to no longer be part of the cast, I respect Bravo’s decision. I continue to be truly sorry for the insensitive comments I made in the past and have worked within my community to repair the damage I’ve caused.”

He said, “I have learned a lot and grown from the experience but understand that it’s not enough. I will continue to do more regardless of my affiliation with VPR because it’s the right thing to do.”

Now I’m curious to know what exactly he’s going to do when he says “do more”. While it sounds good, elaborating on his intentions would be a step in the right direction. Anyone can say they plan on “doing more”.

Brett also had to answer for his actions on the first part of the season 8 reunion. He told viewers, “It wasn’t OK then, it’s not OK now. It’s something I regret deeply, and it was just kind of making jokes with each other, like we’d literally be in the same room and just say stupid s–t to each other, and it was a dumb f–king thing to do. I’m doing my best to move forward and be the best person I can be.”

Lisa Vanderpump Reacts To Vanderpump Rules Firings

Lisa Vanderpump Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Lisa Vanderpump Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

I think it’s safe to say that fans of Vanderpump Rules are still reeling from recent events. Just yesterday, it was announced that original cast members Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired. This all stems from a recent Instagram Live interview that ex-castmate Faith Stowers gave. She detailed how hard it was to be a black cast member. She also revealed that Stassi and Kristen falsely accusing her of being a thief.

In addition to Stassi and Kristen, both newbies Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were fired due to racist tweets from their past. Bravolebrities from all franchises have reacted.  And fans are calling for Jax Taylor to be next.

Well, now Lisa Vanderpump is weighing with her thoughts, which some think is too little too late. In an Instagram post that went up today, Lisa wrote out her official statement on the matter.

She starts, “Over the past two weeks, many things have been brought to my attention, of which I and many others were previously unaware. It was necessary for me to be quiet until now, until decisions had been made. Now I can freely speak from the heart.” Can someone explain to me how Lisa wasn’t aware? It’s been pointed out many times in the past. She even addressed Max and Brett’s tweets back in January. And Faith announced she was suing Stassi over her lies back in 2018. So did Lisa not know or she just chose not to listen?

Lisa continues, “As we’ve seen such devastating sadness that has played out globally, we all have a part to play to create a kinder, more just society. My hope is for this generation to treat each other with respect and humanity, and realize that actions have; and should have, consequences.”

“I love and adore our employees and I am deeply saddened by some of the lack of judgment that has been displayed. As many of you know, after watching me for 10 years, I have always been an equal rights activist and ally – my family, my businesses and I condemn all forms of cruelty, racism, homophobia, bigotry and unequal treatment. We’ve never tolerated it in the workplace or our lives.”

She goes on, “While you only see a fraction of our employees on the show, a specific friend group, across all of our companies, we have always been a very diverse group of people – every color, ethnicity and sexual orientation.  Most of our employees have worked for us for over a decade, and we have become a family; one that embraces and celebrates each other’s differences. I am proud of the inclusive company that we’ve created. We will continue to embrace diversity as one of our greatest strengths, and I’m excited to give you deeper look into the multi-faceted fabric of our company in the future.”

Lisa concludes, “The world needs to move forward with a kinder generation. Everybody deserves to feel safe, heard and appreciated in their communities. So much of what has transpired in the world is not right, fair or acceptable. We all have work to do to create a society we can be proud of and I hope as we venture forward, we strive to live in a world where kindness and compassion are our highest values. Thank you for listening, love Lisa.”

Oof, that is a lot. It all sounds good but even Faith thinks Lisa would have protested for George Floyd if he were a dog. Not only that, but there is no way Lisa didn’t know about this stuff. Stassi went on a well-known podcast to air out her vendetta against Faith. Kristen tweeted about it. Are we really supposed to believe that Lisa is so far removed that she wouldn’t have know this? What about Bravo? Is anyone watching the children?!

Either way, Lisa is either genuinely upset and sorry or she’s doing major damage control. Or maybe it’s a little bit of both.

Vanderpump Rules Viewers Want Jax Taylor Fired After Stassi Schroeder & Kristen Doute Get Axed From Show

Vanderpump-Rules-Jax-Taylor

Vanderpump-Rules-Jax-Taylor

No one is working harder right now than our good ‘ol friend, Karma. On June 8, Bravo released four Vanderpump Rules cast members who made racially-challenged statements in the past. Fans will now have to imagine Stassi Schroeder’s Italian destination wedding to Beau Clark. She might have to change venues to a Vegas drive-thru, you know, for budget reasons. We will have to wonder about Kristen Doute’s love life and what she plans to do with boxes of unsold t-shirts. They are gone now, courtesy of falsely accusing Faith Stowers of committing a crime.

We also lost Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. Unfortunately they made some racist remarks on social media years ago, but their ignorance then is haunting them now. While Bravo has finally cleaned house, fans are saying the work isn’t over. No tolerance should apply to all, not some. Now some of Jax Taylor’s past indiscretions are now up for review. While James Kennedy and Scheana Marie quietly cackle to themselves, Brittany Cartwright is seething in a corner, praying over beer cheese and hoping no one remembers the whole “pastor” thing. Well, Brit might need to break out the Hooters gear because it looks like Jax is next. If the fans have anything to say about it, that is.

No one watching Pump Rules expected to solve MENSA formulas, but we could have done without the racism. Stassi had been called out several times and given a pass. We’re still trying to figure out why Kristen wasn’t fired three years ago for lack of anything interesting to film. But let’s take a look at Jax, shall we?

According to The Blast, Jax’s comments on Faith have been equally disturbing. Fans are calling on Bravo to finish what they started. In 2018, Jax replied to a question regarding Faith’s cast status. He said, “She’s wanted by the police for grand theft auto and ‘awol’ from military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude.” Oh, was that Jax perpetuating the rumor Faith committed a crime? He then thought to add, “someone’s going to jail”. These comments resurfaced in the wake of the Stassi/Kristen debacle and people are pissed he wasn’t shown the door with them.

RELATED: Kristen Doute Let Ariana Madix & Brittany Cartwright Read What She Wrote About Tom Sandoval & Jax Taylor In Her New Book Before Publishing

But wait, there’s more! Jax was also embroiled in controversy when he and Brittany selected a vocal anti-LGBTQIA pastor to officiate their wedding. Again feigning ignorance, the pastor was given the boot when Lisa Vanderpump questioned their decision. Jax’s previous comments about sexuality are currently biting him in the ass. Ariana Madix has certainly been the target of Jax’s unsolicited remarks regarding her sexual preference.

After becoming a convicted thief during production, one might think Jax would think twice before randomly accusing someone of a crime. A person of color being falsely accused can have quite a different conclusion than a white person being falsely accused. But none of this occurred to Stassi, Kristen, or Jax.

So does Bravo need to make more cuts or pull the plug? It would be nice to hear what Lisa has to say about all of this. Seeing as she is a champion for causes. Has she been complicit in keeping people with prejudiced leanings on a show where she holds an executive producer title? The theme song to Pump Rules is called, “Raise Your Glass.” But, now, it might be time to put the glass down for good – or shatter it entirely.

Vanderpump Rules Reunion Part 2: What’s The Point?

Vanderpump Rules Kristen Doute

Vanderpump Rules Kristen Doute

It almost seems pointless to write this in light of the latest news that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were fired from Vanderpump Rules for racist remarks and behaviors.

Honestly watching part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion was like watching a zoom full of ghosts.

This firing is long overdue in the case of Stassi who has a history of awful statements. I also think it’s time for Jax Taylor to face those same consequences for his rampant misogyny and disgusting homophobic and transphobic statements. Statements he has made in front of Andy Cohen on WWHL. While Vanderpump Rules may be ‘Jax’s show’ (in his own hubristic mind!), WWHL is Andy’s show. And Andy, like Lisa Vanderpump, has let this crap go completely unchecked for way too long.

Bravo has a long history of ignoring the controversial so long as their so-called Bravolebrities churn out the chaos and drama. This past year alone has been one of nonstop social justice controversy for the network. Below Deck was a toxic masculinity cesspool that showcased physical and verbal aggression from male castmates towards female ones. Of course, that show had controversy before when Kate Chastain, the primary recipient of this misogyny, was seen berating and harassing a woman having a mental breakdown, who was also her employee. Kate didn’t deserve the treatment she got from the guys this season. I’m just pointing out the legacy of dysfunction Bravo allows.

Related – Vanderpump Rules Stars Stassi Schroeder & Kristen Doute Never Reached Out To Faith Stowers To Apologize; They Only Apologized Publicly

Real Housewives Of Dallas‘s most scandalous cast member, LeeAnne Locken, has been allowed to perpetuate aggressive and harmful behavior, going so far as to so-called ‘out’ another castmember’s husband. This season she pushed things too far with her racist comments against Mexican castmate Kary Brittingham. I was personally shocked when LeeAnne was actually fired for this behavior as I was 100% certain the network would let it go due to LeeAnne’s <cough> star power.

And on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (a few seasons back) Brandi Glanville made multiple racist comments to Joyce Giraud, who was at the time the only Latina person on Bravo – and certainly the first Latina Housewife. Joyce, a perfectly lovely and wealthy woman with an aspirational life (and perfect hair) was fired for not connecting with the fans. Meanwhile, Brandi, a rampant trainwreck with a reckless mouth full of lies and a history of physically assaulting her castmates, has been brought back time and time again. Only because there is no limit to the lows she’ll go in harming people to get attention and a paycheck.

RELATED: Brittany Cartwright Says She “Had Nothing To Do” With Racist Treatment Of Faith Stowers When She Was On Vanderpump Rules

Vanderpump Rules Scheana Marie

But we’re not here to talk about those other examples of Bravo perpetuating bad behavior. We’re here to talk specifically about Vanderpump Rules. Honestly though do we really need to debrief how Scheana Marie gave Max a blowjob in Palm Springs, when he was supposedly dating Dayna Kathan, then lied about it? I mean what is the point when we know these are the last moments we’ll see Max on TV. Do we need to discuss Kristen calling James Kennedy a bad person? (again)? And hearing about Carter? Not really.

RELATED – Scheana Marie Says Kristen Doute “Got A Lot Of Sh*t” She Didn’t Deserve At The Vanderpump Rules Reunion

I almost refuse to discuss Jax. He is a literal litter box of a human specimen and I want a room full of feral cats to pee on him. He is the dumpster behind SUR. And that dumpster is on fire. I really never have cared about anything Stassi had to say because she’s fake and full of word vomit, and I’m sick of Vanderpump Rules trying to present her as some moral authority and sensible narrator. Didn’t Stassi also, at one point, mock rape victims? How’s that ‘galvanizing’ career going for her these days?

Vanderpump Rules Lala Kent

This show, with this cast, is done and dusted. I’m certain this is not the last of the firings. I’m certain this is the last we’ll see of Jax, who I hope is finally publicly shamed. Lala Kent with her own history of cultural appropriation and mockery will pretend to leave on her own accord to take a different path in life because the show is too negative, and due to her connection to Rand, Bravo will allow her some sort of dignity. Seriously Lala is just horrendously mean and hypocritical, with no redeeming benefits shown on Vanderpump Rules. Plus PJs are bad for the environment and a BJ for PJ movement as the 20th wave of feminism isn’t gonna happen – even amongst girls like Scheana.

RELATED – Scheana Marie Thinks Lala Kent Let Vanderpump Rules Fame Go To Her Head; Wishes Lala Appreciated Her Fans As Much As Stassi Schroeder Does

Brittany Cartwright hitched her cart to the wrong horse, and will have to go with Jax. Maybe they’ll finally move to Kentucky and milk their own cows to make beer cheese with?

Vanderpump Rules Tom Sandoval Tom Schwartz

Tom and Tom will persist. They will continue to TomTom, and Tom 1 will continue to have a happy life with Ariana Madix, and Tom 2 will continue to pretend he didn’t burn his own marriage license. Twice. I bet when he held it near the dumpster fire that is Jax, it ignited instantly.

I actually feel this is vindication for Tom 1. Who has often been villainized for taking a stand against injustice and unfair treatment. He’s always stood up for what he thinks is right, and was literally shamed as fake and condemned by Jax for speaking out against his homophobic preacher.

If the show is smart they will bring back Charli Burnett, who has earned her keep on the reunion. She’s fun, sassy, interesting, and unafraid to be herself or stand up to the bullies. What Lala thinks she is! Scheana, who has embarrassed herself timelessly and tirelessly, deserves a Vanderpump Rules redemption storyline out from underneath the shameful ‘hero edit’ they’ve been giving Stassi for the last few seasons. Scheana for all her cluelessness and self-absorption, for all her rather sad desperation, is harmless and sweet. She’s also possibly smarter than she looks.

How will Lisa spin her obvious complacency in the face of knowing these behaviors were taking place? Faith Stowers revealed that she was actually working with Vanderpump’s lawyers in a lawsuit against Stassi and Kristen. So clearly Lisa was aware that her ‘stars’ were out there behaving beyond heinously.

RELATED – Vanderpump Rules Alum Faith Stowers Says Lisa Vanderpump Would Have Protested If George Floyd Was A Dog

I don’t think Lisa will personally face any sanctions from the network. Other than having to seriously rejigger her show. And probably work overtime to demonstrate that she’s changed her perspective and is no longer playing blind. Instead of Lisa worrying so much about who is sleeping with whom, and meddling in the gossip with her 20… erm 30-something non-waitresses, or making old lady sex jokes and purring like a cougar, she should be attending to the very real issues happening right under her nose!

Vanderpump Rules Beau Clark Stassi Schroeder

The other question I have is Katie Maloney. So Katie is the sole witch of WeHo to survive. Katie, for as awful as she’s been on a personal level, has reserved her vitriol for her husband and on-camera issues. Other than coming after Lala on twitter (who we now know is so awful she deserves it), Katie has kept it fairly composed. She’s either smarter than Stassi and Kristen (and smarter than we’re aware) and supported her besties in hanging themselves out to dry, or she’s too lazy to engage.

Whatever the case, Katie has thus far been spared. Yet how – HOW – will she defend her friendship with Stassi? Will she cut Stassi off in the wake of this scandal? Or will she double down and defend Stassi? Will she ever open up about it on Vanderpump Rules? I am salivating over this!

RELATED: Vanderpump Rules Star Stassi Schroeder Dropped By Public Relations Team After Faith Stowers Controversy

So where do we think the show will go from here? My bets are a TomTom spinoff, and Max being slowly worked into the fold because he’s there. Or kept permanently on the periphery but never made a cast member (ala Peter)? Unless he’s also fired from TomTom? While I do think Max’s social media comments were disgusting, he was also a teenager at the time. Am I totally off-base? Unlike Stassi and Kristen who were full-grown adults in their late twenties, early-thirties running around trying to tear down Faith because …? Because…? Why, is not even really clear. Was Brittnaaaaay really worth your careers?

Vanderpump Rules James Kennedy Raquel Leviss

As for Vanderpump Rules, I think next season will finally be the rise of James and Raquel Leviss anchoring the show. I love sober James! This season James was overshadowed by the disgraceful Kentucky krap wedding, and Stassi’s whining meltdowns and Scheana pretending she’s just having a good time sleeping with all her best guy friends. And her best guy friends’ best guy friends…

RELATED – Vanderpump Rules Newbie Max Boyens Explains Why He Didn’t Reveal He Was Biracial During Racist Tweets Scandal; Says He’s “Proud To Be African-American”

I’d like to see more of James succeeding and how his relationship with Raquel evolves. Raquel is the underdog of this show and her goodness shines through. I truly hope fame doesn’t go to her head. Although her humbleness, a humbleness built out of failure at fractions and being the only little girl watching Winnie The Pooh without ice cream, seems genuine.

Vanderpump Rules

Maybe Pump Rules was headed this way already? It seemed like the old guard was definitely being phased out this season. I’d like to see more of Danica Dow and her simmering crazy. I’d like to see more Charli. Dayna was way too desperate for me. I’m just not interested in her pseudo feminism and boy craziness. Scheana is right – Dayna is way too much like Stassi and Lala. Which means the fame will immediately go to her head. She’ll go from annoying but sort of palatable under the right circumstances, to intolerable.

So where do you think Vanderpump Rules will go from here? What do you want to see?

Southern Charm Star Craig Conover Organizes Charity Bowling Tournament To Support Black Lives Matter

Craig Conover Organizes Charity Bowling Tournament To Support Black Lives Matter

Southern Charm’s Craig Conover spent his early seasons on the show ineffectively pursuing hobbies and avoiding the morning hours.

Since returning from a prolonged stay in the Bahamas, Craig has found his center.  It’s unclear whether Craig started waking up any earlier, but he accomplished a lot in the last two seasons of the show on his own schedule.  He started a successful pillow making company called Sewing Down South, and finally moved on from ex-Naomie Olindo.

Craig decided to use his professional success and social media presence to contribute to social causes.  Earlier this week, Craig posted a video message to fans on his Instagram page.  He shared his vision for Sewing Down South as well as listing the projects that he already organized.

“In classic Sewing Down South fashion, and just how I’ve always lived my life, our approach to everything going on, and anything that’s happened in the past year, has always been action,” Craig explained, “and so we spent the last few weeks making as many donations as possible.  Whether that’s financial donation, mask donation.”

Craig felt it was critical to contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement.  He is organizing a sporting event in the hopes of building bridges between different societal groups.

Craig explained, “we’re also organizing a bowling tournament, which will have police officers, community organizers, protesters  Anyone that wants to be involved and be in a safe setting where they can bond with someone that they might not have a chance to be with if it wasn’t for the tournament.”

“I think competition brings people together,” Craig continued, “I think bowling is one of the most neutral activities you can do.  It doesn’t require much coaching or anything.  Anyone can step up there and bowl.”

It’s unclear whether this is also a fundraising initiative.  But Craig’s goal is to encourage communication.  He described how the tournament will be organized.

“We’re gonna try to have at least two officers, two community organizers, and two other people from the community specifically people that were involved with the protest,” he explained, “all on a team.  So hopefully they can get comfortable enough throughout the ten frames to start to open up and really have a conversation in person about what’s going on.  And I think that’s a healthy approach to this.  I think it’s gonna be a healthy day.  And I think a lot of good’s gonna come out of it.  I’m optimistic for that.  Everyone has a different approach.  Everyone has a different feeling on what has the greatest impact.  And for us, this is what we’ve been doing.”

There are many ways to support BLM.  Craig stressed that this is what he felt intuitively would be an effective approach.  “I understand that a lot of people are using social media as their approach to this,” he said, “and that’s great, and that’s ok. But for us, action is what makes us feel whole and how I think efficiently helps. And not that everything else doesn’t, it’s just this is our approach.”

RELATED: Southern Charm Star Kathryn Dennis Says “I Cannot Stand My Character Being Annihilated” In Response Of Monkey Emoji Controversy

Craig concluded the video with a heartfelt statement about living with kindness and consideration.  “I love you all, I always have,” he said, “I see humans as humans and I was fortunate enough to be raised that way.  And I look forward to saying hi to pretty much everyone I see on the street.  That’s why I love Charleston so much cuz everyone talks to each other no matter what walk of life you come from.  So just, be kind.  There’s a lot to fix out there, but we can all just do our part.  And this is our part.”

“Stay kind.  Love everyone.  We’re all just human beings and that’s how we should treat human beings.  Will there be consequences on how you treat someone on the street,” Craig continued, “everyone should be held accountable.  And everyone should do their best to spread positivity.  You only live once, that we know of.  And why not make it a fun happy positive impact while you’re here.”

Craig invited followers that want to be part of the tournament to reach out to him via social media platforms.  Though Sewing Down South is actively seeking participants involved in politics or law enforcement, Craig extended the invitation to anyone who wanted to be involved.

There’s been a seismic shift in the world of Vanderpump Rules. On Tuesday (June 8), Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the show following allegations of past racist profiling against former cast member Faith Stowers.

In a new interview, Faith has opened up about how she feels.

“I feel so vindicated studios and production are able to see blatant racism and make these positive changes and help move the race forward — help with the fight forward,” Faith told Page Six.

She also revealed to the gossip site she’d been praying before she learned the news of Stassi and Kristen‘s ousting. “I know it sounds corny — I felt a sense of glory,” she said. “I felt God’s presence and I’m seeing now maybe that is what that was. He gave me a sign of optimism meant to be hopeful and showing that all of this was worth it.”

The one-time SURver, who appeared on Pump Rules during Seasons 4 and 6, accused the two OGs earlier this week of once making a false police report against her. According to Faith, the Witches of Weho called the cops on her after hearing about an African-American woman wanted for theft in the area.

Stassi once bragged about calling in the tip on her podcast. Meanwhile, Kristen took to social media to spread the pair’s theory. While they both offered public apologies this week, it was too little, too late.

Faith added that she didn’t regret speaking out about Stassi and Kristen’s discrimination. “I was ready to put myself in the line of fire because I don’t know what will happen if I don’t say anything,” she said. Faith added, “but I’m glad I did.”

She’s now hopeful that the firings will be just the beginning of major changes at Bravo. Over Pump Rules‘ eight seasons, Faith is only the second Black cast member in the history of the show. (And honestly, she’s best remembered for being the woman Jax Taylor cheated on Brittany Cartwright with next to a sleeping hospice patient.) Early SURver Tina McDowelle, who is also black, appeared in a recurring capacity during Seasons 1 through 3.

“Now I’m seeing Bravo follow suit — the same as MTV and The Challenge — [by] letting go of castmates that have also made racist remarks,” she continued. “Bravo is releasing women that have given them crazy ratings because they want to be on the right side of history.”

Faith declared, “I’m seeing people are finally hearing us.” Faith also had a message for Stassi and Kristen. She said, “I hope they use this time that they have now to educate themselves to why this happened to them,” she said of her former castmates, “and try to use [their] voice later for real change.”
