The Challenge USA: Episode 9 Eliminations

Last week, a Big Brother alumnus was saved from elimination in the game with a stellar performance in the infamous Hall Brawl arena competition. Enzo Palumbo was pitted against Leo Temory from the Amazing Race. Enzo came out on top and saved his game.

The Challenge USA Sarah

Big Brother alumni numbers had been declining for several consecutive weeks. With the save last week, 4 Big Brother alumni are currently left competing in The Challenge USA. Will the Big Brother team be able to all stay in the game this week? Let’s find out now.

Week 9 Main Challenge

This week’s main challenge is called Collect Four, which is the first single female elimination challenge. The competition starts with the players running up into the stands of a stadium and finding their designated color tokens. Once found, they will bring them down and place them on their boards which are similar to BINGO boards. The goal is to collect four tokens in a row.

The catch is that any player can throw down their token on another player’s token to block their path to completion. This will make it much more difficult for the targeted player to complete their board of Collect Four. The players may only bring down only one token at a time.

The first player to collect four tokens in a row wins this competition. The last to finish will be sent to the arena to fight for their lives later in the evening.

The Challenge USA

Angela Rummans from Big Brother devised a plan to block Sarah Lucina from Survivor. Several players are playing with Angela and scheming against Sarah in this competition. Sarah was not handling this well and kept asking other players to help her block Angela in retaliation.

Angela et al. were successful, and Sarah finished last after being blocked on her game board. She will go into the arena to earn her money and try to save her game.

Danny McCray and Desi Williams from Survivor won the competition. They will ultimately pick who Sarak will face in the arena. Sarah wants to face off against Angela or Alyssa Lopez, both from Big Brother.

Week 9 Arena Competition

This competition is the first female elimination challenge. Sarah lost the main challenge and will play against whomever Danny and Desi chose for her to play against. They chose Cashay Proudfoot from Love Island.

Tonight’s arena competition is called In A Roll. Each player will take off running in what looks like a giant hamster wheel. There are 300 feet of rope attached to their wheel and a ball. The first player to get to the ball first wins that round. The first player with 2 wins will stay in the game while the other will be eliminated.

Sarah won the first round quite easily. Sarah also won the second round, but that win was not so close as the first. Regardless, Sarah was the winner and will stay in the game while Cashay was eliminated.

Join us again next week for another episode of The Challenge USA recap.

Big Brother 24 Episode 23 Recap: Michael Saves His Game But Ends Kyle’s?

Matt Turner won his second Head of Household for the Big Brother 24 season. He was literally aligned with every houseguest as he is in the two house alliances, the Leftovers, and the Afterparty. Now, he will have to show his cards when he lands on a final target this week.

BB24 POV

He nominated Brittany Hoopes and Taylor Hale from the Leftovers to the block for eviction in the Big Brother 24 house. He blamed the recently evicted Joseph Abdin for these nominations stating that Joe gave him information about their 3-person alliance.  His real target is Michael Bruner, who is a huge threat in the game. Who will win the Power of Veto and save their game?

Week 8 Block Nominations Aftermath

Taylor was devastated over what Turner revealed at the nominations ceremony about why she is on the block. She doesn’t understand why he went to such great lengths to protect her, only to throw her and Brittany under the bus.

Brittany was so upset that she stormed to the HOH room and swore that was a lie. Turner told her to relax because she was not his target this week, and he left it at that.

BB24 Brittany Matt

The Afterparty alliance is pretending to bring Monte Taylor into their game just to keep him close to the vest. Their strong allegiance is to the 4 members of the Afterparty. End of story.

If his plans to backdoor Michael this week doesn’t work out, Turner made sure he was still on good terms with him this week after 2 of his closest allies ended up on the block. Michael followed what Turner was saying but did not feel safe this week.

Week 8 Power of Veto Competition

In addition to Turner, Brittany, and Taylor, Alyssa Snider, Monte, and Michael were picked to play in the POV this week. This means the only houseguests that won’t be playing in this POV competition are Kyle Capener and Terrance Higgins.

Billy Eichner made a video appearance in the Big Brother 24 house to announce his new rom-com movie, Bros. The winner of the POV competition will win a private movie screening with 3 of his closest friends.

This veto competition is called Pride Slide. This is the Big Brother infamous slip and slide competition. Players must transport Bro rosè from one end of the slippery ramp to the other. The first to completely fill their container with rosè wins the golden power of veto. Let’s begin.

BB24 POV

Not surprisingly, Michael is off to an early lead in the competition. He has won 4 previous POV competitions. Turner is the only one near him with a remote chance of winning this competition. In the end, Michael won without much of a challenge.

Michael chose to take Alyssa, Turner, and Taylor with him to watch the movie. He wanted to work on cultivating new relationships.

Big Brother Houseguest Brings Serious Matter To Light

Michael and Brittany approached Taylor and Monte with some unnerving information about Kyle. Earlier in the season, Kyle felt there was another cookout 2.0 alliance in the Big Brother house. In response, he suggested that his fellow houseguests come together with their race members to counterbalance their move.

Taylor and Monte really didn’t know how to handle the information. They were visibly upset with this information. They gave their support and approval for Michael and Brittany to share the info with HOH Turner.

Before speaking with Turner, Michael spoke with Kyle’s showmance partner Alyssa. She admitted that she was very confused with the information and was quite speechless.

BB24 Michael Alyssa

Last but not least, Michael spoke with Turner about the situation. Turner was glad they came to him with the info.

Meanwhile, Kyle suspected something was up in the Big Brother house. He went to Alyssa, and she told him what was happening with the current situation and accusations. He broke down in the diary room.

Footage from the house meeting will be shown in the next episode. Please join us tomorrow, Thursday, September 1, at 9 PM EST.

Real Housewives Alum Kelly Dodd Says She Is Launching A Podcast With Vicki Gunvalson

The lives of Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson have significantly changed now that they aren’t Housewives. The two were fired from the Real Housewives of Orange County after both faced significant controversies. On and off the screen. And since Vicki’s onscreen (only) bestie Tamra Judge was asked back to RHOC, I’m sure Vicki is feeling the desperate need to be relevant again. So who can help with her that? I guess the answer it Kelly.

Kelly already has a podcast with husband Rick Leventhal. I’m not really sure how successful it is, but I’m going to guess not very. Yes, I know Kelly has fans. But are they really out there listening to what these two have to say? Doubtful. And how successful could it be given that she just announced on the show that she’s starting another podcast with Vicki? Yep. You heard right – Kelly and Vicki are starting a podcast. Or so Kelly says.

During an episode of her show, Unmasked, Kelly shared the news. Fan account The Real Housewives Zone reposted the clip for us. Kelly began, “[Vicki] said she wanted to do a do a show with me. And I said, ‘yeah that would be great.’ And you know, we were thinking about names…” Rick, who is off camera, interrupted her to say, “Don’t say it. Don’t say it yet. Keep it a secret.”

Kelly confirmed, “I’m not going to say it. So you guys can maybe write maybe what you think would be a good show.” Rick jumped in to hype up the un-hypeable news and said, “But this is breaking news. You’re going to do another podcast, this time with Vicki. You and Vicki together.” Kelly responded, “Yes.” Rick added, “It’s going to be awesome.” And Kelly concluded, “It’s going to be great.”

While Kelly and Rick think it might be great, commenters did not. One user wrote of a possible name for the show, “Is it called Desperate and Problematic?” That comment racked up almost 300 likes. Another commenter noted, “Oh good Vicki’s third failed podcast.” Finally, one user commented a simple, “Barf.”

MTV’s Floribama Shore Canceled After 4 Seasons

It’s time to say goodbye to the cast of Floribama Shore as MTV officially announced the show would not be returning for a fifth season.

The show which first aired in 2017 as a successor to MTV’s wildly successful Jersey Shore lasted for 4 seasons and featured a lot of drama, fights, emotional moments, and so much more. Yes, everything we want and NEED in a reality show. The cast featured Jeremiah Buoni, Kortni Gilson (seasons 1-3), Aimee Hall, Codi ButtsKirk Medas, Nilsa Prowant, Candace Rice, and Gus Smyrnios as they took on different parts of Florida such as Panama City Beach and St. Pete Beach. The format of the fourth season shifted a little as they dealt with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic which caused them to shoot in Arizona, Montana, and Georgia.

Although the reason for the cancelation is unknown, it’s been reported that many of the cast members were confused by this news from the network as they were all present for the filming of cast member Nilsa’s wedding.

This show truly is something special. The many characters and their many personalities are just fascinating to watch. And on top of that, they understand the assignment. We’ve seen the cast physically fighting on the street with different bargoers and getting arrested. Aimee took viewers on her journey of anger management (after assaulting a few of her co-stars). Candace and Kirk are sure to pop off if you come at them the wrong way. And the biggest blowup of them all — Jeremiah vs. Gus.

These two were the best of friends in and outside of the house. They vacationed together, spent a lot of time together, they even considered each other to be real-life brothers. So close that Gus stayed with Jeremiah and his family for a period of time when he needed it the most. So for these two to not only fall out over a misunderstanding (everything is blurred when alcohol is involved) but to physically fight for not one but two seasons with each other — oh, they had viewers tuned in.

Never say never is the reality tv motto. We’ve seen shows come back after years of being off the air — just look at Jersey Shore Family Vacation. So, it’s possible that after a quick reset, some time off, and re-imagining the show in a different way, we could very well see this group reunited again at some point down the road.

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: The Ballad Of Pancake Nipple Frank

It’s a new day on Below Deck Mediterranean. And Natalya Scudder is finally ready to talk through her truly out-of-nowhere tantrum with Storm Smith. In fact, she’s actually ready to put the whole thing behind her. Or is it more like sweeping it under the rug? Either way, the second stew is over it. And the (provisional) bosun is more than happy to move on as well and chalk the whole thing up to a bad night. But something tells me Natalya’s outburst is more of an emotionally hazardous red flag than either of them wants to admit.

No More Mr. Nice Chef

below deck med recap season 7 episode 8 captain sandy yawn chef dave white natasha webb chief stew argument

Instead, it’s time to focus on charter number four. Which is starting in, oh, a matter of hours. Though after the preference sheet meeting, Natasha Webb tries to test the waters with Chef Dave White. And let’s just say she doesn’t get the response she wants out of her former paramour. Dave’s reached the end of his rope when it comes to being manipulated and jerked around by Natasha. And finally, he’s standing up for himself. Of course, the chief stew takes not being fawned over as a personal affront. But not even her best wounded face sways Dave. He’s officially finished with her and will communicate on a curt, professional basis.

Of course, this is the perfect time for Captain Sandy Yawn to interrupt and put herself right in the middle of the former couple’s drama. And naturally, Natasha‘s done everything she can to skew the captain’s perspective on the situation in her favor. It’s all been a “woe is me” sob story ever since she met with Sandy in the wheelhouse. So Captain Sandy’s already been primed to see Dave‘s boundaries as “tension.” But I say good for him for standing his ground. Sandy says she wants them to be professional. Which was the point Dave was originally making anyway, so…

To Bowline Or Knot To Bowline?

below deck med recap season 7 episode 8 jason gaskell deckhand confessional

Jason Gaskell has quite a rough start to this charter. And his problems begin when the 500-pound waterslide is dropped off on the dock. Getting the monstrosity onto the boat without, like, literally breaking the tender proves to be a conundrum for the deck crew. But for some reason Storm isn’t all that open to hearing any of Jason’s suggestions. Then the deckhand starts clashing with his new boss even more once the guests arrive. First he advises Storm to “do less” as they’re loading the guests’ luggage onto the boat. Huh?

But Jason takes it to a whole other level when it comes time to put the slide over the side of the boat. And it all comes down to a bowline. Or something other than a bowline, according to Storm. But Jason insists he tied a normal bowline, OK?? And the two get into a terse war of words that ends with the deckhand tell his boss to “f–k off.” Uh..not a great choice of words, Jase. Then he follows that performance up with completely ignoring Storm’s instructions while the deck team tries to bring the trampoline in. Like, Storm, Mzi Dempers and Courtney Veale are all calling his name and he chooses to swim off in the other direction. Jason’s definitely going to a problem on deck moving forward.

To Be Frank…

below deck med recap season 7 episode 8 charter guest frank gay kyle viljoen

The new round of charter guests seem to be a gaggle of New York gays with the requisite sister of the primary. And from the moment they step on board, Kyle Viljoen is living his full flirtatious fantasy. He particularly takes a liking to a tall, skinny, 37-year-old twunk named Frank. And it quickly becomes apparent that the attraction seems to be mutual. We’ve seen all season that Kyle has no problem crossing the line of professionalism with guests. But this time he tells Natasha he may be ready to pack his bags if Frank’s open to crossing some other lines that have heretofore gone unexplored between stew and guest this season.

The flirting between Kyle and Frank is quietly incessant. Whether they’re mumbling about each other’s white teeth by the bar. Or bantering as the deckhand serves lunch in front of the whole group. We’re frankly (pun intended) well past unprofessional. But Kyle knows it and owns it.He even says so in his confessional. I mean, Kyle literally decides to sit down with the guests and gossip on his break in full view of the rest of the crew. It’s almost like he’s planning on purposely getting in trouble.

A Disastrous Wine Pairing

below deck med recap season 7 episode 8 chef dave white wine pairing

For dinner the first night, there’s a major miscommunication between service and the galley. The guests have requested an around-the-world menu featuring each course from a different country. So Chef Dave goes with a street food theme to keep things consistent and wants to serve everything buffet style all at the same time. But Natasha wants to make things just a little fancier, and decides to do a wine or shot pairing with each course. This throws a major curveball in the dinner plans. And in Dave’s timing in the kitchen. So much for keeping things professional, hmm?

Initially, Dave goes along with Natasha‘s insistence in serving the meal course by course. But the idea quickly creates problems as he’s trying to keep his one-bite wonder foods that have already cooked properly heated, fresh and not dried out. All for a wine pairing the guests didn’t ask for! Next thing we know, courses are going out in a different order than they appear on the menu. The American sliders get mixed up with the Chinese bao buns. And while the food is good, the train is pretty much off the tracks by that point. Even Kyle, Natasha’s number one yes man, starts to agree with Dave that this was a bad idea. And in the middle of the chaos, the episode abruptly ends, forcing us to wait another week to see if this culinary trip around the world can be salvaged.

TELL US – DO YOU SEE RED FLAGS IN NATALYA AND STORM’S BOATMANCE? ARE YOU TEAM NATASHA OR TEAM DAVE? SHOULD JASON HAVE BEEN REPRIMANDED FOR HIS INSUBORDINATION? AND WILL KYLE RISK HIS JOB TO HOOK UP WITH FRANK?

Big Brother 24 Live Feeds: Brittany And Michael Expose Kyle

It has been a busy weekend in the Big Brother 24 house. Things really kick off on Friday when Head of Household Matt Turner nominates Brittany Hoopes and Taylor Hale for eviction. His entire plan for the week is to backdoor Michael Bruner. This plan gets smashed into a thousand messy pieces when Michael wins the Power of Veto.

Brittany Hoopes, Michael Bruner, and Matt Turner on Big Brother 24

Once Brittany and Michael know that they are safe, they set a plan in motion to expose some of the things Kyle Capener had done in the game. They specifically want to bring up the fact that he believed that another Cookout was happening between the players of color.

CBS shows Kyle’s incorrect assumptions in one of the recent Big Brother 24 episodes.  Kyle had no real evidence to support this theory about a new Cookout, especially because they have actively targeted and nominated other houseguests that are Black.

It was all based on the assumption that this happened once,  so then it could happen again. Michael and Brittany had this information for a while but decided to wait for this week’s Veto results to share this information to blow up Kyle’s game.

This decision, at least somewhat, had to do with Michael being upset that he knew Kyle and Turner’s whole plan for the week was to backdoor him. Brittany and he also later talk about them feeling the need to share this information. They want to stand for something bigger than the game.

Matt Turner and Michael Bruner Big Brother 24

On Saturday, Michael and Brittany decide to expose everything Kyle has said about another potential Cookout to Monte Taylor and Taylor first. Then they would tell the rest of the house. On Sunday, they share with Monte and Taylor what Kyle has been saying.

Unfortunately, the feeds stay off this conversation, so we don’t see it happen live. However, we later see Michael and Brittany fill in Alyssa Snider about everything going on with Kyle. They also clarify some of the Leftover stuff that she heard about from Kyle (but the Afterparty has been claiming Joseph Abdin told them).

Eventually, Michael and Brittany make their way to tell Turner what they know about Kyle. He is shocked but laser-focused on taking out Taylor this week because he sees her as a threat to his game. Turner cites her making end plans without him as the main reason for wanting her gone. He is convinced that she’ll come after him next.

However, Turner expresses being open to nominating Kyle this week but would prefer that Taylor still goes to the jury. He also wants some feedback from Brittany and Michael, because he knows their relationship is now shaky. Turner wants to do whatever helps repair that and keeps him from being their target.

Big Brother 24 Kyle Capener

He also asks if Taylor leaving this week would upset them. There is a lot of skirting around what Michael and Brittany want until they say they want Kyle on the block and out. When the conversation ends, Turner is still unsure of what to do but leans more towards nominating Kyle.

He likely becomes sold on the idea after a talk with Monte who expresses some hurt and frustrations to learn all this about Kyle. By the time the conversation ends, Turner is ready to nominate Kyle.

Prior to his conversation with Turner, Monte also shares what he learns about the Cookout 2.0 story with Terrance Higgins. Terrance is also upset to learn that Kyle has put all the Black people and people of color together.

Monte, Terrance, and Alyssa eventually all talk together about it. She assures them that this isn’t the Kyle she knows and doesn’t share any of those beliefs.

Big Brother 24-Monte Taylor and Terrance Higgins

While Brittany and Michael went around telling people about Kyle, Kyle at one point talked to Alyssa. She delicately leads him to realize that he may be labeled as a racist (his words, not mine). He kept saying that he had to leave the game if this is what they were saying to people.

Kyle talks about this going beyond the game. Alyssa encourages him to just go talk to houseguests and offer his side of things. Kyle then stays in the Diary Room for a while. He eventually returns to talk to Michael, but this is also not shown on the feeds.

Going into Monday’s Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Ceremony, it seems set for Kyle to go up as Brittany’s replacement. He’s also now almost guaranteed to leave on Thursday.

This is a sensitive subject and one I highly encourage people to watch play out on feeds, if possible. Therefore, below I have attached a tweet that points out where to flashback to see it all happen on feeds.

Big Brother 24 Episode 22 Recap: Were Leftovers Served At The Afterparty?

One of the biggest twists in Big Brother history is in the rearview mirror, and the time has come to bring things back to normal. Well, at least normal in Big Brother’s terms. Last week during the double eviction event, Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin were evicted from the Big Brother 24 house to the jury house.

BB24 Matt Turner

A new Head of Household will be crowned tonight, and nominations will be made to the block for eviction. We will also get to see what happens when the Leftovers alliance and the newly formed Afterparty alliance come back together. Will the Leftovers remain in control, or will the Afterparty take over the Big Brother 24 house? Let’s find out.

Big Brother 24 Week 7 Evictions Aftermath

Now that Big Brochella and Dyre Fest are over, the two separated groups of Big Brother 24 houseguests are back together again in the house. While at Dyre Fest, Kyle Capener gave up the Leftovers alliance to Alyssa Snider and Terrance Higgins; however, the final four outside created the Afterparty alliance.

Inside, they stayed true to the Leftover alliance and evicted the only non-member of the group, Jasmine. Now the two groups have come back together.

As soon as the houseguests reunite, questions immediately arise regarding how Joseph was evicted when the Leftovers had the majority vote at Dyre Fest. Taylor Hale broke down in tears when she realized Joe was gone and could not even hug him goodbye.

Kyle completely blames Joseph and his actions for giving up information about the Leftovers outside. He tried to play stupid, but at the same time, he kept saying, “unless Joseph spilled the beans.” Both Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes were leery of his story about the week outside at Dyre Fest.

Week 8 Head of Household Competition

This week’s HOH competition is called Carna Small and is a Big Brother favorite. The houseguests must stack 21 micro energy drink cans in a pyramid with tweezers. The first one to finish wins the HOH for the week. A very steady hand is absolutely needed to win this competition.

BB24 HOH

After a grueling competition and a few missed steps along the way, Matt Turner ended up finishing stacking his cans properly in the fastest time. He is the second houseguest to repeat HOH wins this season.

This week, Turner is in an interesting position as he is a member of both alliances, the Leftovers and the Afterparty. He will have to show his cards at some point this week. Kyle is also a member of both alliances, and Kyle and Turner have a final two-pact agreement together.

During a private conversation Between Kyle and Turner in the HOH room, Turner suggested he nominate Alyssa and Terrance to the block. That is Kyle’s worst nightmare. He immediately told Turner that Monte Taylor was a much bigger threat than Alyssa and Terrance, and they needed to target Monte before he ran the game on them.

Monte and Turner had a conversation in the HOH room that started with Turner telling Monte about the smaller group within the Leftovers that did not include him. Once Monte was given that info, he decided to tell Turner that he and Kyle were on the bottom of the list with the Leftovers, and Michael and Brittany were not afraid to take a shot at either of them if the situation arose.

Turner wasn’t sure what to believe or which alliance to align with at this point in the Big Brother 24 game. His block nominations should indicate which way he intends to show his loyalty now.

Week 8 Block Nominations Ceremony

At the nominations ceremony, Turner nominated Taylor and Brittany. He explained to the house that Joseph told him during Dyre Fest that Joe told him Taylor asked Joe and Brittany to go into a final three together. Turner said he felt left out, which was why his nominations are this way this week.

Of course, Joe never said this to Turner. Turner has drawn a clear line in the sand that the Leftovers are finished. Taylor is destroyed that Joe would protect her so much and then throw her under the bus like this. She doesn’t feel like it makes any sense.

There is still a veto to play. Join us on Wednesday, August 31 at 8 PM EST for the veto competition and ceremony.

Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Week 8 Competition Results (08/27/22)

Brittany Hoopes, Taylor Hale, and Michael Bruner find themselves now at the bottom after living in luxury last week. However, this isn’t a new position for them. Big Brother 24 started with them all being left out. Now, the Afterparty, run by former Leftovers Kyle Capener and Matt Turner wants one of them out this week. Michael would be their preferred target. However, Turner nominated Brittany and Taylor as a way to backdoor Michael.

Big Brother 24 Veto

They were all told a story about recently evicted houseguest Joseph Abdin betraying them. He told the Dyre Fest crew a lot of information, including that they have a final three deal and wanted him to join as a fourth.

Turner, Kyle, and others tried to sell this story, but Michael, Brittany, and Taylor suspect that this is all an elaborate plan to cover up the newly formed alliance. They are right. Monte Taylor also heavily hints at this to them.

Monte finds himself in a good position this week to play the middle. And that’s exactly what he has been doing. The Afterparty believe that he’s with them, and Taylor, Brittany, and Michael feel that he may be in danger with them. They all believe he could be the backdoor option if Michael isn’t it.

Going into today’s Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Competition, the plan is to take off either Brittany or Taylor, so that the Veto can be used to backdoor Michael. If Michael wins the Veto, then he will take off Brittany, and Taylor becomes the target.

So who won this week’s critical Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Competition? Read below to find out.

MAJOR BIG BROTHER 24 SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Michael won the Veto!

This means that he has saved himself from a backdoor. He will also likely use it on Brittany, forcing Turner to nominate someone else. Likely, unless something drastic happens, Taylor is now the target.

Big Brother 24 Week 7 Recap: Dyre Fest Leads To A Dire Outcome For The Leftovers Alliance

As Julie Chen-Moonves promised, this week culminated in a Big Brother double-eviction episode like none other. Two contestants were sent to the jury, one from two different “festivals” that were held. The first was “Big Bro-chella,” where five players played out an entire week within the BB House. Then there was “Dyre Fest,” where the other five players had to spend the entire week in the BB Backyard, with limited food and amenities. While Big Bro-chella went completely to plan, Dyre Fest provided this week’s fireworks, and will prove to be a major turning point in the game one way or the other, regardless of where things go from here.

When we left off last week, the two teams hadn’t even been picked yet. But following Indy‘s eviction, a schoolyard pick ’em was held, with the two newly-crowned HOH’s – Michael and Terrance – getting the honors. Since Michael beat Terrance in that final HOH Competition Round, it was he who got to reign within the confines of the BB House as master of Big Bro-chella ceremonies. He strategically picked Jasmine, his target, along with bestie Brittany, and fellow Leftovers alliances members, Taylor and Monte. The week inside the house went almost perfectly for Michael, who continues to show legend-level mastery of the game, and who, should he go on to win, is well on his way as being thought of as one of the best that’s ever played. OK, I’ll slow down, he’s only reached final eight thus far. But come on, right? This guy is the real-deal and still finds himself in a great spot in this game.

Michael‘s HOH ended the way he wanted, with Jasmine getting voted out – becoming the second member of the jury – and also not having one clue as to what was going on. Oh but things went off the rails quite quickly outside at Dyre Fest.

It was an A+ week for HOH Terrance, who went from floater to player in the span of one week. When you win HOH and you’re on the bottom, as Terrance has been all season, you need to not only go after and target a big threat, but you have to gain valuable information along the way. Not only did Terrance do both of these, but he came out of the week with his first solid alliance, the “Afterparty” alliance (more on them later). But the big development for his game came from Kyle, who thus far had been straddling (no pun intended) both a show-mance with Alyssa and a loyalty to the Leftovers. Terrance got Kyle to come clean about the entire Leftovers alliance, much to the chagrin of both Turner and Joseph, fellow Leftovers at Dyre Fest, who were just freshly thrown under the bus.

Look, it might be hard to see from TV, but show-mances are almost always going to win out over any in-game alliance agreement. That’s why it is critical that show-mances get busted up early, but too often on Big Brother they are allowed to remain for far too long. Not splitting up Kyle and Alyssa during the BB pick ’em at the time seemed like a big blunder for Michael…that is, until he revealed that he’d actually be OK if some of the Leftover members wanted to start taking shots at each other…just less blood on his hands. I’m telling you, this guy is next-level good. Here we are worrying about the Leftovers while Michael is out there thinking way past that, wanting to win the entire game.

Kyle of course was going to protect Alyssa, and vice-versa, so it was bold and a bit of a surprise that Terrance decided to put up Turner and Joseph originally. There is always one player it seems, each season, that has more potential than where they actually end up finishing the game, who basically have their game flushed down the toilet by sheer bad luck or by an unforeseen twist in the game. This season that person is Joseph. He was a strong, well-liked, fan-favorite, and don’t forget that he was a last-minute alternate for the show. Joseph delivered in spades, and he was exactly the sort of player Terrance wanted to take out on his HOH.

Terrance then did something quite smart…without warning he used the POV that he won to take Turner off the block, and replaced him with Kyle. This not only fostered some loyalty with Turner, but it led to the dumping of a bit more information once Joseph and Kyle kicked into survival mode. Joseph may not have had a chance anyways, but his approach was a major mistake…look Joseph, there is no way in hell you are going to sway Alyssa to vote out her boyfriend, so why even spend that energy? And to basically ask to do it in a group setting not thinking your own lies and moves would be aired out for all to see? Joseph’s only approach should have been to sway Turner and Terrance…if he had their votes (Terrance’s in case of a tie), then it wouldn’t matter that Alyssa voted to save him. But doing it the way he did only solidified the others that much more.

So Jasmine out, Joseph out. The glory of this split-week is that the newly formed “Afterparty” alliance could be an incredibly dangerous power in this game, and if played correctly, could be the one thing that Michael doesn’t see coming. You see, what happens at Dyre Fest, stays at Dyre Fest. We know what happened out there this past week, but the inside of the house doesn’t. If Turner, Kyle, Alyssa and Terrance all stay on the same page and stay tight, they are in a massive position of power. Terrance could play out-of-the-loop, which would be fitting since he was for most of the game. But if he doesn’t reveal to anyone else that he knows about the Leftovers, then Kyle and Turner can continue infiltrating their old alliance as double-agents. Michael and Brittany showed interest in working with Kyle and Alyssa, so the show-mance might just have saved itself for another few weeks. Taylor and Monte will soon find themselves on the outs if other factions decide to strike first, and suddenly you have Terrance making it close to the end. Heck maybe someone breaks up the show-mance along the way, no problem for Terrance.

What I’m really saying is that Terrance rocked it out this week, and not just because he’s a DJ. I for one have newfound respect for him in this game, and if – let’s just say – he does somehow get in the way of Michael‘s waltz to victory this season? Well, that’s a mighty good story for a final jury to ponder, and he could point his success all the way back to his profound, game-changing Dyre Fest HOH. Terrance even said earlier this week, that the Leftovers may have won the first half of the game, but he’s winning the second half. Not possible? This is Big Brother, silly. Expect the unexpected!
