Brooks Ayers Releases Another Statement; Maintains He Is Truly Sick And Wants To Live Private Life
For a guy who claims he wants to live a private life away from the spotlight, Brooks Ayers sure spends a lot of time talking to the press. The former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is now giving statements about wanting to be left out of future conversations, especially those regarding his cancer storyline.
Just when we had almost forgotten him, Brooks pops back up by giving People magazine yet another statement, with his version of the past five years of his life with Vicki Gunvalson. And begging to be left alone to live a quiet and private life battling his disease and working on his career.
Brooks starts off, “Once and for all, I would like to address several issues concerning my life that keep circulating in the media that I would like to clarify and get out. I completely understand that people may not believe what I am saying to be true, yet it will not keep me from telling my side of the story along with my rationale as to why I did what I did as it relates to my health and my private life.” Wait, didn’t he give his side of the story like ninety billion times already in big exclusives and one-on-one sit downs?
He continues, painting a picture of a man seriously misunderstood and made out to be the bad guy. “Since I began dating Vicki in the Fall of 2010, I was the subject of much ridicule and hate. I underestimated the power of social media, fellow cast mates’ accusations, and others from my past that were given a platform to air their grievances toward me. No one is perfect. I have made my share of mistakes which I regret. I pride myself in apologizing when I am wrong or have wronged others either intentionally or unintentionally. Through the first five years of dating Vicki, I was coined as a con man, low life, gold digger, dead beat, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth in reality, yet this alone makes for great TV and for controversy. Vicki is a lot of things, but stupid? Hardly. A liar? Hardly. She is known for being a driven workaholic who demands perfection. One of Vicki’s famous quotes is: You don’t mess with her family or her money. To say that I took advantage of her in these ways is absolutely disgusting and quite frankly one must “consider the source” for anyone who discounts her ability to make her own mature decisions. The same is true about me. What one never saw was my drive professionally to continue to provide for my kids and advance my career. When it comes to a TV show, drama sells and every story needs a villain and I was the villain.”
He doesn’t tell us anything new here, “Now, onto the reason why I am writing this. Prior to filming Season 10 (which began in December 2014), I was given the unfortunate news of my cancer diagnosis. Having lived under public scrutiny for the prior five years along with being wrongfully positioned as something that I wasn’t and knowing that I had a large battle ahead of me, I simply made a request to Vicki that we deal with this in a very private manner so as to keep out the noise of any questioning of my treatment choices moving forward. After all, it was MY choice and no one else’s. However, Vicki felt compelled to share a private email later that night with Tamra Judge and Lauri Peterson along with a text to Shannon Beador asking for all of their support during this time rather than conflict. I was not okay with that at all when I found out about it, however the information about my diagnosis was out. I was approached by a few media outlets to confirm my diagnosis and made a calculated decision to address it via a statement and an on camera interview in hopes that we would “put this to bed” and allow me to move forward in private. When filming began, so did the gossip with the women introducing my diagnosis on the show by referencing a blog and a Psychic’s “feeling” that there was no cancer. Looking back, it was quite ridiculous actually.”
“As the season progressed, I grew more weary of the foolishness of all of the antics of Vicki’s friends which, in turn, created enormous pressure on our relationship. As a result, while filming continued I began to not include Vicki in any of my medical appointments and/or details because I simply wanted to be left alone. It wasn’t because I had anything to hide, yet I wasn’t going to be bullied into doing something that I wasn’t comfortable revealing to coworkers/cast mates of Vicki’s who did not have my best interest at heart. Vicki and I broke up in July 2015 while Season 10 was still airing. I took the opportunity to share my frustrations of the past five years in various media outlets for the sole purpose to demonstrate to the world that I too could manufacture “gossip/fakeness” and create a lot of unnecessary drama that simply didn’t make any sense. I have since apologized in a statement that showing fake documents was absolutely wrong, that Vicki did not have anything to do with it and hindsight I should have never showed anything at all.” Ya think?
Now he defends Vicki’s lack of knowledge of things (hoping to smooth things over for her before the new season kicks off?). “In closing, I would like to address a couple of additional issues. First, Vicki was not “in on any cancer scam or created storyline.” There is no scam. I simply didn’t continue to give her information about my illness when I learned of the devious nature and intentions of the cast. Second, Vicki never has paid me to be quiet regarding this “supposed” scam nor has paid me to release any statements. Again, just because I am exercising my right to NOT share my actual medical records doesn’t mean that I am guilty of making something like this up. Who even would question anyone dealing with this disease?” We would. Shannon would. Meagan would. The entire RHOC viewing audience would.
Brooks just wants to be left alone, which probably means he’s hoping the producers and cast leave his cancer document lies out of the new season. “Finally, I would respectfully ask that one would recognize that I am no longer on the show as I have moved on with my life in the private world and am requesting to leave me out of future discussions or conversations. Vicki was my partner for five years and I believe the show was the demise of our relationship. She is a woman of integrity and compassion, and would never lie about something so serious as this.”
Sorry, Brooks. There is a new season filming and the cancer document lies were huge. There’s no way it won’t be discussed, especially given the state of Vicki’s friendships with her castmates because of the cancer lies and nonsense last season. You participated in a reality show and were a major storyline last season. You cannot expect to be left out of the discussions to come. That’s not the way reality TV works.
(Although there are a few reality TV cast members we WISH we could forget and move on without ever mentioning again… but I digress.)

Sheree Whitfield Wants To Reunite With NeNe Leakes AND Kim Zolciak On RHOA
Sheree Whitfield stopped by New York Live earlier this week to dish on Real Housewives of Atlanta, her return, and more.
“It was a good time for me,” Sheree said about her decision to return to Real Housewives of Atlanta. “My kids are about grown .. and I just felt like I’m in a much different place. I’m in a lighter place. Before it was so heavy. I was going through a lot – going through a divorce and a child support battle, so right now, I’m just really enjoying life and having a good time.”

When asked if she had higher expectations this time around, Sheree laughed, “We’re talking about Real Housewives of Atlanta now,” adding, “I went in, just being me, just being authentic, and doing what I do.”
“It does feel different now,” admitted Sheree. “When I started, we did not have anything to compare it to. We were just there. We were just doing our thing.”
Sheree dished on New York Live that she would love to reunite with both NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak.
“I think that would be amazing. When we’re together, and it’s good, it’s fun. It’s amazing. Don’t you think that would be great? Just to see how that dynamic would work. I mean, we’ve all grown, and like you said, we’re in different places, so I’m sure, you know, we’ve all matured.”
Sheree opened up about her current relationship with Bob Whitfield.
She said they’re in a “very good place,” adding, “We’re finally at a point where we’re able to enjoy each other’s company and laugh. We have not been able to do that for a very long time. It was very very bad and just a negative time for both of us. We realized that working together, or just being cordial and trying to be friendly for our kids, is much better than us always fighting.”
When asked if they are together/together again, Sheree shared, “We are…I don’t want to say that we’re back together/back together, but we’ve gone on dates. We’re just enjoying each other. He is almost like the Bob I met 20 years ago. He totally changed [after they got married] but he is going back. I think he realizes that he made a lot of mistakes. And, you know, I made mistakes, too.”
Sheree teased what is yet to come on the RHOA reunion, “You will get to see some never before seen footage…of a fight…more like some boxing.”
Personally, I would love for Sheree to return full time, but, um, err, not so much NeNe (the guest role market needs her) and Kim (one show is enough).

Leah Messer Defends Her Dysfunctional Parenting On Teen Mom 2
Leah Messer is once again being called out for her parenting choices. One might think that after losing custody of the twins last year she’d be especially diligent – especially in front of Teen Mom 2 cameras – but Leah’s least favorite thing in the world appears to be common sense.
On the season 7 premiere, Leah sent the twins to school with no breakfast and then allowed Addie, her 2-year-old daughter by second ex-husband Jeremy Calvert, to inhale SWEET N LOW PACKETS while Leah bemoaned her life to a friend. Can’t disturb mama while she’s whining about how nothins’ ever her fault. Leah was also observed texting and driving with all three girls in the car!

In the episode, Aleeah (“Grace”), Leah’s 6-year-old daughter complained, “I don’t trust you. Take me back home. You’re always worried about everything else, except for going to pick us up and giving us lunch. I’m cold and I don’t have nothing to eat. You never get us up for breakfast. Daddy [Corey Simms] and Miranda does.”
I’ll give Leah a little slack – maybe – my oldest son is 5 and when he’s cranky, he makes some outlandish comments out of frustration, however, given Leah’s history of negligent parenting and questionable behavior, I’m guessing this isn’t just Gracie tantruming!
Viewers were outraged and immediately began calling Leah out on Twitter.
Of Ali and Aleeah going to school without breakfast (and empty lunch boxes), Leah tweeted, “Grace was being a drama queen that morning. They eat as soon as they get to school…”
“5:00 is already early enough for two 5 year olds, and I guess no one is ever out of bread? lol,” Leah added.
Apparently Leah would rather have hungry kids, than late ones, as one of the reasons she temporarily lost custody to Corey was the twins were constantly tardy.
About texting and driving, Leah insisted she doesn’t always break the law. Only sometimes.
While sending your kids to school hungry and cold is bad enough, letting your toddler inhale cancer-crystals so you can eat lunch with a friend is flat-out disgusting. Leah laughed it off. “She was sneaking it while I was filming and MTV caught her. Lol,” she tweeted. How was she sneaking it when we all saw Leah OPENING the packages. Maybe that was like when the deer cam caught Leah cheating with Robbie Kidd but she still denied it?!
Leah whined that all the criticism hurts her feelings and she truly does have loving relationships with her daughters. “My girls scream to be with me because I AM a GREAT MOM!” she tweeted in her own defense. Maybe it’s because she lets them run amok and consume junk food all day? Leah has better things to do like… ummmm… her secret boyfriend!
Radar Online also reported that a regularly-scheduled custody hearing took place, but there will be no change to the 50/50 arrangement Leah and Corey currently have. A source says Corey “knew what was going on” with Leah while Teen Mom 2 was filming. Corey and Miranda are monitoring and plan to revisit the custody decision again in the future!

Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore Isn’t Quite Ready To Confirm (Or Deny) Her Pregnancy
Y’all. Y’all. Is it just me, or is Kenya Moore vying to be the most hypocritical housewife in the history of housewives? In asking that question, I am not even taking into consideration the fact that Krayonce has never been a wife, because we all know that’s not a prerequisite with Bravo!
After her grand showing on the reunion, where she received more shade from Andy Cohen than I’ve ever seen him dole out, Kenya is back teasing fans about a potential pregnancy and calling out co-star Phaedra Parks for shaming her skin tone. Note to self, it’s fine for the Real Housewives of Atlanta star to talk smack about anyone and everyone, but it’s certainly not okay for any of her cast mates to retaliate. What’s that old adage about not dishing it if you can’t take it? Just kidding! Those rules don’t apply to twirling!

After neither confirming nor denying if she’s pregnant on the reunion, Kenya is speaking to Bravo in hopes of putting to rest those pesky rumors. She wants her fans to know that if she is pregnant–or when she gets pregnant–she will let them know if (and when) she is ready. She is also taking the advice of her doctor, however, and she is not ready to disclose whether that doctor is the OB who gave her the good news or a shrink who is earning every penny.
Responding to Phaedra’s apology, Kenya determines the issues are bigger than just two petty women who despise each other. She explains, “I wiped the slate clean with Phaedra hoping to move on. Unfortunately, her heart is heavy with so much hatred and jealousy of me that she can’t move on. She insulted my looks and my skin on nearly every episode the entire season. When she insults the dark hue of my complexion, she is showing her self-hatred and ignorance. All black is beautiful. I’m proud to be dark skinned. Too bad she can’t separate her color complex and celebrate the natural differences among the entire black diaspora.”

Am I missing something, or wasn’t Phaedra making fun of Kenya’s acne and not her skin tone? Don’t get me wrong, both are horrible (the insults, not Kenya’s skin), but I feel like Kenya is twisting (twirling?) the situation to make herself a victim of something bigger than needing some Proactiv. Kenya adds, “And why does she continue to try and insult me by stating I don’t have kids and a husband when her own felonious husband is in prison leaving her children fatherless? #JesusFixHer”
Kenya admits that she wasn’t really texting Matt about the puppies while filming, and she found it “laughable” when Kim Fields challenged her to “say something.” However, the real meat of the interview Kenya’s answer to the burning “is she or isn’t she” pregnancy question. Kenya hedges, “If I were pregnant it would be a high risk pregnancy due to my age. I feel more comfortable if and when my doctors feel I am in a safe stage to confirm a pregnancy. I appreciate all the amazing fans who are wishing me well. It feels good to know everyone is rooting for me and my happiness.”
So there you have it, y’all. Kenya is probably, very, almost but not quite, about to be pregnant and/or give birth. You heard it here first.

Kim Richards Is Staying Sober For Her Children; Opens Up About Her Struggles With Addiction
Kim Richards is getting candid about her battle with sobriety and how her struggles with addiction have affected her children.
Interestingly the former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star is finally admitting that she has battled with alcoholism for most of adult life and has been in and out of rehab. Obviously this has majorly affected the lives of Kim’s four children, Brooke, Whitney, Chad, and Kimberly.
“I felt terrible for my children,” Kim confesses. “That was the thing that bothered me most. I cried because I hurt my kids.” Oh, so that was the cause of Kim’s hysterics on Dr. Phil? Uh-huh.

Kimberly Jackson, who appears on The Mother/Daughter Experiment alongside Kim, confesses her childhood was difficult. “Watching her go through a hard time and not being able to rely on her, it was so scary for me.”
After getting arrested twice, and several stints in rehab (plus televised therapy), Kim promises she’s finally on the right track.
“Things were so crazy last year,” admits Kimberly. “There were so many things going on at one time.”
“I’m glad it happened when it did,” says Brooke Wiederhorn. “It got her strong for [when] Monty did pass away. Maybe if it hadn’t happened, things would have gotten really bad. But she went through rehab and she got stronger than ever.”
Kim believes Monty is watching over her and her sobriety. “I miss him a lot. He was my best friend. I confided in him. He knew everything. And I know he’s still up there pushing me to do what I need to do. He’s our angel.”
Agrees Kimberly, “Everything has come to a calm. Things have never felt better.”
“I’ve made mistakes, but I keep trying,” defends Kim. “I’ve never done anything intentionally to hurt my children. And I hope, for their sake and for the sake of one day my beautiful grandchildren who will come, that this is it.”
“Sometimes I put my arms around them and I say, ‘I love you, I’m so sorry,'” Kim tells People. “I know they worried about me.”
As for remaining sober for the rest of her life, Kim acknowledges, “There are no guarantees.”
I want to say this is Kim finally taking accountability, but after watching Mother/Daughter Experiment and her recent WWHL appearance, I think this is more of Kim’s usual PR spiel of hollow promises and absolutions. I hope for the sake of her children she will stop with the denial, deflection, and excuses and truly get therapeutic help.

Kandi Burruss Thinks Phaedra Parks Is Making Her Look Like The “Bad Guy”
I don’t know why I’m taking it personally, but the breakdown of Kandi Burruss’ and Phaedra Parks’ friendship feels like the end of an era in some sort of cosmic way! The real tragedy is how much these two Real Housewives of Atlanta stars still care about each other, but can’t seem to find common ground. And how a felon man ultimately came between them (thanks, Apollo!).
Kandi admits that she gets emotional when discussing her disintegrating friendship with Phaedra, as she did on part one of the RHOA reunion. “I get frustrated having these conversations in front of everyone. I do care about our friendship. That’s why I’m emotional about it. And because I care, I still won’t say certain things that would make her look bad. Even though I feel like I’ve been made to look like the bad guy.”

Kandi continues in her blog, “I’m trying not to be that ‘mad day’ person that I’ve talked about in the past, meaning a person who was once your friend that starts telling your secrets when they’re mad. I don’t like when other people do that, so I don’t want to be like that. The whole thing is just frustrating knowing that there is only so much I can say to defend myself publicly.”
Moving on to her Kandi Koated Klique, Kandi defends Don Juan’s right to insert himself into everyone’s drama – whenever and wherever he feels like it! She claims both Phaedra and Porsha Williams were too hard on Don Juan and Carmon at the reunion.
“I feel like they are full of sh– about Don Juan and Carmon. When we’re on TV and they say something you don’t like, you want to treat them like the help or say they’re just my employees. But when we’ve all hung out numerous times, they were all good. That would be like me treating Porsha’s sister like the help since she’s her assistant.”

“No, I’m not blood related to Don and Carmon,” adds Kandi, “but we are like family and we have each other’s back like family as well. So if somebody is in front of my video release party telling lies about my husband or talking sh– about the video, then I would expect the people who care about me would speak up and check them. Which is what happened, and I do not have a problem with it.”
It’s interesting that Don Juan (and Carmon, to a lesser degree) were in Kandi’s ear the entire time she was attempting to mend fences with Phaedra this season. They’ve got a lot more influence than meets the eye. Hey – maybe we have the CLUE answer at last! It was Don Juan in the Garage with the Apollo Contraband. Mystery solved!

Lisa applauds Bravo for filming the Lyme gala and explains that she was not able to attend because she was scrambling to get her passport in order before the Dubai trip. “I couldn’t go as it was noticed that I had only five months left on my passport and that is unacceptable when traveling to United Arab Emirates. It was all a bit of a panic to renew it in four days. The thought of going all the way to London 22 hours there and back was not something I relished, especially as we had another long flight to Dubai the next day – we tried everything. Anyway I was sent with an escort, LOL, to London just in case I didn’t come back in time. Had I known what lay ahead in Dubai I would’ve stayed longer.” Now the drama..

Lisa breaks down the accusations of manipulation surrounding the Lisa Rinna, Yolanda Foster, and Munchausen Syndrome drama.
“When LR came to my disco, and read verbatim the meaning of Munchausen‘s, I can’t remember or recall exactly, but the sentiment most definitely was uneasy. “I do believe I said, ‘I don’t think we should be talking about this,'” recalls Lisa. “Now if I was encouraging her to bring that to the forefront, obviously she would have reacted vehemently to that statement. Not so.”
“In fact, I had, much to my chagrin now, defended LR, trying to appease the situation, explaining that I was aware the source of chatter came from a friend of hers and she was only guilty of repeating it, not manifesting it. Anyway, it really isn’t that important now as the wave of Munchausen’s has pretty much dispersed, but the crux of the matter and the most important factor is somebody is being economical with the truth.”

Lisa goes on to say that she doesn’t even “support” the Munchausen theory… so why would she waste her super powers energy on it?
“Yes, of course I had questioned the constant ‘sick selfies‘ but to her face at EJ‘s barbecue – it was not included. The response I was met with from YF was that I was a coward for not wanting to draw attention to an ailment or illness. I replied we all deal with things differently. That is the premise of this blog…we all deal with things differently.”
Lisa adds, “I have no interest or motivation for participating in this domain with the intention to sully the reputation of another,” and then she lists all the fun, positive, and/or meaningful experiences she’s brought to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season:
“Moments at Villa Blanca, the LGBT Dodger game, the excursion to Ohio in search of a little sexy beast, the celebration of the Ken’s birthday with the English garden party, hosting the Hero Dog awards, the Moulin Rouge party, the Hamptons magazine cover party, and lastly, the cause closest to my heart, the Yulin March, which is heartbreaking, but I’m thankful it was covered as we put our heart and souls into that. Anyway, apart from that, a smorgasbord of events to witness and enjoy.”
Lisa throws shade at what Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson have brought to the show, “Now if all I had to offer was to have my ass waxed on a dirty carpet or run my lines or even pulling down old curtains, maybe then I would feel the pressure to spend all season attempting to denigrate the character of a friend, to validate my position as a Housewife, with bitter diatribe, which was a replica of their actions last season. Last season I naively believed that their intentions came, albeit aggressively, from a place of empathy, in regard to Kim Richards. Now not so much.”
“I also have little understanding how these ‘strong, independent women, blah blah blah’ can rely on the feeble excuse that they are manipulated. What? Are we 12? Do we not have a modicum of sense? Make our own decisions? I most definitely see a certain somebody pulling strings, directing the conversations.”

Lisa says, because of the never-ending accusations, the Dubai trip goes to hell next week. <sigh> This season has been such a disappointment.
In conclusion, Lisa addresses Eileen‘s blog from last week, in which she joked about murdering dogs. “With regard to ED’s last blog, I hear many of you on social media, and yes, humor is something that provokes laughter. I didn’t hear any. The caustic remarks resonated for sure. At least if you don’t support our plight, have some sensitivity to a fellow Housewife’s passion. But, like I said, we all deal with things differently.”

Eileen Davidson Praises Yolanda Foster’s Global Lyme Alliance Moment; Does Not Understand Lisa Rinna’s Feelings
After last week’s disappointing and bitter blog, Eileen Davidson is back again to give us her take on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drama. This time, she’s not threatening to murder puppies. But she is digging her heels in deeper with Camp Lyme…so there’s that!
Eileen jokes about Dubai, “I wonder if Kyle [Richards] is a genius for inviting us all to a destination with such strict laws. Since swearing is a punishable offense, I guess I’ll have to get really creative in my communication this week.”
“Getting to Dubai was a journey,” admits Eileen. “When we arrived, it was like we’d been flown to another planet. The hotel was extravagant, over the top, and definitely ‘other worldly.’ I’m so glad I called dibs on the underwater ‘suite,’ a word I’ll use loosely, because it was about 10 times the size of my first apartment. I also didn’t have to share a room with anyone. I mean besides the fishes…”

On her former bestie Lisa Rinna, Eileen says she’s “still having a hard time” understanding Rinna’s feelings about Yolanda Foster/Hadid. Indeed, Eileen claims that watching Yolanda’s scenes from the Global Lyme Alliance gala this week “made me maybe as emotional as Kyle was. Seeing the massive number of other people suffering from, and affected by, Lyme gives credence to Yolanda’s journey, and how she chooses to raise awareness of it.”
In Dubai, Lisa R. again brought up her issue with Yolanda essentially choosing the evil spectres of Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards over “good friend” Erika Girardi. Eileen argues that it was simply time for Rinna to let it go. Oh, this is rich – like Villa Rosa Rich! – coming from the woman who will not let go of Lisa Vanderpump’s 30-second questioning of her “affair,” like, EONS ago!!

In any case, Eileen scolds, “Personally, I believe it is Yolanda’s decision who she hangs out with. Just when I thought we’d finally moved on and could enjoy our first dinner, other grievances were resurrected. Erika’s dinner party was brought up, as well as the weird gossip-double-cross of Kathryn [Edwards] about Lisa V. Maybe only the beauty of the Dubai skyline at night could distract us from continuing down that rabbit hole.”
Eileen closes her blog in jest: “But the Dubai skyline can only save us temporarily. Stay tuned for next week, where there’s a very real possibility I’ll get arrested for cursing and/or using my middle finger.”

Little Women: LA Recap: The Party Continues
The Mexican adventure continues for the ladies of Little Women: LA, with part two of Briana Renee’s bachelorette party melting down into a pile of broken friendships – and swimming with dolphins! The tension between Terra Jole and Briana still hangs thickly, metaphorically symbolized by the torrential rain pouring down during the ladies’ hike on Day 3.
Although Terra claims she wants a friendship with Briana again, Briana is wary of her motives. Briana is also exhausted from Tonya Banks’ lecture about her “not looking happy” as a newlywed. But how exactly is Briana supposed to look when she’s endlessly being browbeaten about her marriage by her frenemies? It’s all just too much.

To lift their sagging spirits, Jasmine Sorge’s cousin, Victor, has brought some pedi-cabs out for their amusement! Given the ladies’ run-ins with wheels this season (dirt bikes, roller blades, fortune…), let’s just hope no one ends up in a Mexican hospital at the end of this! Elena Gant is relieved for the ride because momma-to-be is not about to walk through this rain forest one second longer. The ride seems like a ball, and Christy McGinity Gibel feels like the vibe of the trip may be changing. With Matt lurking in the bushes not around, the group can bond with Briana on better terms.
After their ride, the crew saunters over to a rock pile (okay, it’s more of a formation, but whatever!) to chat. Briana confesses to Jasmine she was pissed about the little stripper last night (who was THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!), but she’s over it now. She also feels a fake energy from the group, who are there to support her – but not her marriage.
New girl Ali joins their convo to tattle on Tonya and Terra for telling her that what Briana fears is basically true. Briana would like to invite everyone to the wedding, but she’s not sure how realistic that is now. While Elena and Christy seem like they’re honestly trying to make an effort with Briana, Terra and Tonya may be fronting. Vowing to confront the entire group about their true feelings, Briana gets her “I’m fierce!” bad-itude on (for the thousandth time) and says they need to step up and back their sh*t up, or “shut the f*k up forever!”
The ladies head to the Coba pyramid next, the tallest Mayan ruins structure in the Yucatan. And the future site of Briana’s #FierceFrontation. Victor warns the group that they can climb at their own risk, but people have been known to tumble down. OMG. Terra, Tonya, and Jasmine try their hand at scaling the 100-foot beast, but only Terra tries for the top. She doesn’t give up, even when her eyeballs start experiencing their own heartbeat. And she makes it! Wooooohoooo!!! Good for her, seriously. She feels a major sense of personal pride and accomplishment on behalf of anyone who feels hamstrung by a perceived disability. Love this!
Back at the bottom, Christy tells the group that she and Todd are pursuing adoption. Which sends Briana into an insanely hypocritical hissy fit over Christy making Briana’s bachelorette party all about her. Hmmm. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I present evidence archive #132: recorded footage from a mere season ago when Briana announced her SECRET MARRIAGE to the group in similar fashion at Elena’s bachelorette. Guilty! Of course, Briana doesn’t reflect on this troublesome fact for a moment.
Doubling down, Elena decides it’s time to share her big news too. She’s pregnant, and she’s having twins! Yes, we all know (and so does Terra), but the rest of the group erupts with shock and squeals with glee at Elena’s news. Everyone seems thrilled for her, except Christy, who is now having her own pity party, table of one. Why did Elena have to steal her thunder!?
Christy silently seethes, knowing that her adoption storyline has just been usurped by Elena’s actual pregnancy. She’s also probably regretting letting us all see that up-close-and-personal gyno visit from last season, given how things have panned out! #WasItWorthIt? Nope. Uh-uh. (I, personally, am STILL recovering from that.)
Briana seems truly happy for Elena, but she does shut down the celebratory mood by telling the ladies she can’t figure out who’s here to actually support her (and, presumably, Matt). Terra says she’s straight up her for Briana, but when it comes to Matt, it’s still a No Bueno. She’s seen too much manipulation and arrogance from Matt to even begin accepting him.
Terra asks Briana straight up: Would she have even invited her if Jasmine hadn’t suggested that the whole group come? Briana admits she wouldn’t have. But now she wants to move forward. Really, Briana? These ladies are here supporting you, despite their better instincts. And you just admitted you weren’t going to invite them anyway, but did in an effort to “rebuild.” They feel how they feel, but their actions are speaking for them. The same is true for you. And you just can’t have it both ways.
Sick of Christy trying to play both sides to the middle, Little Boss calls her out on not wanting to attend this trip either. But Christy just shrinks into the corner, quietly bemoaning her loss of a viable storyline. Ali is on the hot seat next for talking smack behind everyone’s back. She feebly tries to defend herself, but is no match for Terra’s full on verbal assault, in which she demands Ali just go home.
Changing her mind mid-meltdown, Terra decides to peace out, walking off in a huff. She’s followed by Tonya, who Jasmine yells at on the way out: if Tonya doesn’t want to be here than she won’t be invited to the wedding either! Ahem. Who died and made Jasmine Briana’s new “handler,” by the way? She’s like the resident emotional bouncer on this trip. (And super depressing party planner, to boot.)
Left in the carnage are Christy and Briana, who remain to hash it out. Christy wants to support her, but she still has issues with Briana’s lies and delusions. Christy denies thinking Briana is lying now, but does admit she still doesn’t like Matt. She thinks Briana is as “happy as she can be,” which is a safe and terrible answer. But she hopes to be at Briana’s wedding anyway. Briana needs to think about whether Christy is wedding-worthy though.
Tonya stomps through the forest, muttering how she doesn’t want to go to no wack-ass wedding anyway! She’s also wondering how deluded Briana must be to think that, just because they are all on this trip, they suddenly approve of d*ck-pic-sending Matt? Plus, she vents with Terra, what’s up with that turncoat, Christy!? One minute, she’s on their side, the next minute, she’s doing a 180 – just to secure a wedding invitation! To Tonya and Terra’s credit, they have (in their totally inappropriate manner) told Briana their honest thoughts about Matt, and their marriage, from the very beginning. But here Christy is, flip-flopping more than Donald Trump’s hair in a windstorm, says Terra.
It’s the ladies’ last day in Cancun. So, time to swim with dolphins! Terra, Tonya, and Elena have a ball kissing the dolphins, and Tonya even braves a ride on one. They laugh and, mercifully, refrain from talking about the Briana drama for a hot second.
After they dry off, the short moment of peace is shattered when they launch into it. Elena thinks Briana is happy, and that Matt is the one making her happy. But Terra and Tonya have turned their wrath on Christy at this point, pissed primarily about Christy’s betrayal – at least, that’s how they see it. Bottom line: Terra says they need to make their amends tonight, or go their separate ways. For good.
Getting their minds off of yesterday’s fight, Briana and Jasmine dance around in sombreros at a local tourist trap. Which Jasmine refers to as “authentic” Mexican culture. Okaaaaay. They, of course, rehash the argument at the ruins, which Briana is still hoppin’ mad about. To her, Terra and Tonya are like little whiny babies who won’t ever accept or listen to her.
Breaking down in tears, Briana says she’s utterly exhausted from the incessant arguing with them. And yeah, I understand her point. The ladies need to back off, or Briana needs to accept that they may never like Matt (or the fact that she’s estranged from her family). But something has got to give. I’M exhausted just watching it! (Aren’t we all!?)
Back at the resort, Ali and Christy dish over non-alcoholic drinks. Christy smirks, asking how Ali fared after her first experience of getting screamed at by Terra. #ItWon’tBeTheLast #TerraFied! Upset about Terra throwing her under the bus with Briana, Christy doesn’t trust Terra anymore. And she doesn’t think Terra and Tonya even want to be friends with Briana. She does though, and seems prepared to do whatever it takes (including suppressing her icky feelings of Matt-hatred) to get the job done.
Behold: the Last Supper of this Cancun mess is upon us! The ladies small-talk for a few minutes while Terra and Tonya mean mug in the corner. Jasmine then stirs the poop, sharing that she wished everyone could have bitten their tongues on this trip. Elena astutely points out that it was none other than BRIANA who brought the whole issue up though, asking everyone at the ruins to speak their truth. (Thank you, Elena!) And, Terra points out, Briana shouldn’t bring questions up she doesn’t want a truthful answer to.
Trying to poke the hornets’ nest once again, Ali stands up to announce that this whole group does nothing but trash talk each other. This, Ali, will win you no friends here! But it might win her a spot on the show, which may be what she’s vying for. Hmm. Promptly ignoring Ali, Terra launches into Christy’s hypocrisy, which Christy defends as loyalty to Briana. Then the group erupts in their classic scream fest we’ve all become numb used to by now.
Briana yells for the group to STOP! But Terra will not be stopped. She calls bullsh*t on Briana wanting to make amends with anyone. Briana tries to calmly placate Terra with the slow, “okaaay, okaaay” move, but Terra erupts. “If you’re going to talk to me like a two year old, then you’re a b*tch!” It bothers Terra that Briana is letting Christy back into her life, but not her. “Why are you okay with Christy and not me?” demands Terra. Furthermore, why is Briana okay with Christy hating her husband, but not Terra hating her husband?
Briana claims she didn’t know Christy still hated Matt. Oh, Briana. The compartmentalization in your brain is an enormous castle with many tiny dungeons. In tears (of anger, hurt, frustration?), Terra demands to know why Briana can’t accept her friendship on the same terms as Christy’s. Is it just because Christy has turned into a yes-ma’am? It seems so.
Briana says she just wants the group to move forward. But Terra is jealous of Christy because she’s gotten an apology from Briana, while she hasn’t. Wait – that’s not entirely accurate. But, it’s apparent Terra assumes it is. Briana just thinks Terra is trying to sabotage the only friendship on the mend now: hers and Christy’s.
That may or may not be true, but Terra is certainly not ready to rebuild anything right now. And neither is Briana, who finally tells a foaming-at-the-mouth Terra to “Just get out!” So, Terra does, yelling all the way, “Good luck with your wedding that no one wants to go to!”
The group sits in silence for a beat, taking this moment in. Has the gauntlet been thrown? Are Terra and Briana done forever? Briana says she is.
