Ellen Pompeo is reflecting on watching “Grey’s Anatomy” with her daughter Stella. The star, who gained worldwide fame for her role as Dr. Meredith Grey in the acclaimed series, appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” to talk more about the medical drama. The actor shared that while her husband, Chris Ivery, hasn’t watched the series, her teenage daughter binged a few seasons before a scene left her too heartbroken to continue.

Ellen Pompeo stopped by Jennifer Hudson’s talk show on April 2 to reflect on her career and celebrate 20 years of the iconic series “Grey’s Anatomy.” The actor, who was one of the series leads, reflected on the show’s two-decade effect on fans while also shedding light on whether her family had watched it. 

Amid loud audience cheers, Ellen Pompeo looked back on the first day as Dr. Meredith Grey on “Grey’s Anatomy.” The actor expressed that it’s the loyal fans that keep the show alive even after 20 years. She also teased her future appearance in the series, leaving the audience excited. The star further revealed that Chris Ivery, her husband of 18 years, hadn’t watched the iconic show, which is currently in its 21st season. 

Ellen Pompeo then revealed that she and her daughter Stella watched “a few seasons” of “Grey’s Anatomy” together. However, one scene left the 15-year-old heartbroken enough to stop watching it. The actor referred to the episode where George O’Malley (played by T.R. Knight) enters the hospital as John Doe before revealing himself as fan favorite character George by tracing “007” on Dr. Grey’s palm.

This scene was one of the pivotal moments of the show, leaving the fanbase, including Stella, shocked. Ellen Pompeo told Jennifer Hudson that her eldest daughter had had enough. She said, “When they see that George O’Malley died, they are just like, ‘I’m done, I just can’t do it anymore,’ and so I think she made it as far as that.”

Previously, in an interview with PEOPLE, Ellen Pompeo revealed that both the mother-daughter duo got emotional when George revealed his identity in the scene.

Justin Bieber‘s new Instagram Story has fueled rumors about the singer throwing shade at his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. On April 2, Bieber took to the social media platform to share several viral memes. One of them included a satirical reel featuring the fictional character Gollum from “The Lord of the Rings,” holding and staring intensely at the One Ring. The caption on the meme read, “Girls on social media when they get engaged.”

Since Bieber posted the Instagram Story, fans have speculated that the meme was targeted at his ex-girlfriend and her fiancé, Benny Blanco, as the couple got engaged in December 2024. The meme also came right after Blanco and Gomez released their first-ever studio album, “I Said I Love You First.”

A new viral “The Lord of the Rings” meme shared by Justin Bieber on Instagram sparked rumors about the singer shading Selena Gomez. Many users on social media believed that Bieber’s meme targeted Gomez and record producer Benny Blanco after their engagement and the launch of their new album. Some fans alleged that the “Ghost” hitmaker was “going crazy.”

However, some fans also defended Bieber and pointed out how he had been “active on social media and posting like this long before her album.” They further mentioned that the musician neither mentioned Selena Gomez nor Benny Blanco in the meme. Thus, fans believed it was just a general choice of a meme that did not aim at throwing shade at Gomez or target her engagement.

The 20-year-old got candid after the interviewer asked her if she had the actor’s “’90s minimal stuff.” Martin replied, “Oh my god, of course.” The media personality shared that she doesn’t have “all of it,” but she does “sneak into her closet and steal little things.” 

Martin revealed that her “absolute favorite stuff” is Paltrow’s “old Calvin Klein from the ’90s.” She added, “I have a lot of it and it’s the best thing in the world.” The fashion brand was a staple in the star’s wardrobe during her minimally chic era. Gushing over the same, Martin said, “Going into her archive closet is just heaven on earth.” 

Martin then recalled a heartwarming thing Paltrow said regarding her taking items from the 90s icon’s closet. The former shared during the interview, “She lets me steal stuff because she’s like, ‘I saved it all so that you could steal it.'” However, Martin added that Paltrow also tells her daughter to be “so careful.”

Furthermore, Apple Martin continued to share her love for retro fashion. She even revealed that besides her star mom, Jane Birkin is one of her style icons.
