New year, new gig! Everyone’s least favorite guy from Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval, just landed a role in an upcoming Lifetime movie. According to a press release, Tom is gearing up to play the part of “Jason” in Lifetime’s Tall, Dark and Dangerous. We’ve got a sneak peek at his new role and the catfishy plot of the upcoming movie.
Tom’s next act
Tall, Dark and Dangerous follows a real estate attorney named Alice. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, she decides to start cruising the dating apps. Big mistake. She ends up matching with a guy named Chris, but it turns out he’s too good to be true. He’s a catfish using his roommate, Jason’s identity (played by Tom). Chris lures her in with the fake identity and according to the movie’s synopsis, he “will stop at nothing to put everything she has worked so hard for in jeopardy.” It sounds like the exact kind of chaotic plotline we love in a Lifetime movie.
Tom’s casting marks the second VPR star to foray into the Lifetime Cinematic Universe. Right after the Scandoval drama took over the world, they booked Ariana Madix for a role in a movie. She starred in Buying Back My Daughter. So, apparently, there’s space in the Lifetime world to hire reality TV’s biggest heroes and villains.
Of course, this isn’t Tom’s first foray into acting. We’ve witnessed his acting skills for 10 seasons of Vanderpump Rules. We’re gearing up to see even more of it when Season 11 hits Bravo on January 30.
He’s has also appeared in a handful of not-so-noteworthy films, like The Raiven Destiny, Puppet Master: Axis of Evil, and Dying for a Baby. So, we’ll see what he brings to this illustrious role on Lifetime.
Tall, Dark and Dangerous airs on Lifetime on February 8, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
