Paging all Married to Medicine fans! We’re back to cover a brand-new season and dish on all of the juicy drama between the doctors, the doctors’ wives, and everyone in between.
In Season 10 of Married to Medicine, we watched Quad slowly get pushed out of the sister circle, only to be replaced by her ex-husband’s new wife. When the reunion came around, there was a glimmer of hope that she could be welcomed back into the good graces of the group. However, we learned in the Season 11 premiere of M2M that not everyone is on board.
Once again, off-camera drama rattled the relationships in the group, but behind the scenes, a few surprising people are trying to patch things together. In Married to Medicine Season 11, Episode 1, “Guess Who’s Coming to Whitnik,” we got our first peak at the long, bumpy road ahead.
What happened in Married to Medicine Season 11, Episode 1?
Dr. Simone and her husband planned a Freaknik-themed party to celebrate their 35th college reunion, but a couple of unexpected guests threatened to kill the vibe. Meanwhile, the rest of the women tried to find peace with each other after off-camera drama rattled their friendships. We’ve got a full breakdown of all of the juicy details.
Tensions linger from season 10
Season 11 kicked off with the Whitmores planning a major party to celebrate their 35th college reunion: Whitnik! Who knew that a 35th reunion was something worth celebrating?
Although Simone was “hyped up” about the party, Season 10’s drama loomed over her like a dark cloud. She was putting together the guest list when the conversation quickly turned to her feud with Quad. Simone said she wasn’t going to be on the invite list.
“Quad and I left New York in a good place. We were talking, we were communicating, and then comments start flowing on social media,” Simone explained in a confessional interview.
“People say they don’t like how I treat Quad,” Simone continued. “She buys into what these strangers are saying.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Heavenly went to Quad’s house with a bouquet and an apology for Season 10’s drama. When they started discussing the feud with Simone, Quad said that she needed Simone to take accountability for what transpired at the reunion.
“Simone needs to be accountable and say, ‘You know what, I was dead wrong,’” Quad explained.
The Luncefords take on the Kimes
Another conflict that has carried over from Season 10 is the rift between Dr. Heavenly and Lateasha. Thanks to a bunch of online arguing, their relationship is also worse than it was the last time we saw them.
What’s wild about this feud is that no one’s hands are clean. Dr. Heavenly said shady things about Sweet Tea and Greg’s marriage. In response, Sweet Tea accused Dr. Damon of infidently. They’ve all said messy things about each other’s practices. It’s just not good, and of course, Phaedra is attracted to this like a fly on a pile of hot garbage.
In the Season 11 M2M premiere, Phaedra invited the Luncefords over so her sons could give Lateasha swim lessons. Meanwhile, Phaedra pulled Greg aside to talk about the drama with Heavenly.
“Heavenly was talking a lot of junk about Lateasha, going in on some things that I felt were inappropriate,” Greg explained.
In Greg’s opinion, his wife was fully justified to clap back. Phaedra seemed to agree, and she vowed to support Greg in his battle with America’s favorite dentist.
“You know that there are only 561 black men in medical school right now? 561,” Phaedra told Greg. “So, we gotta protect you at all costs.”
In the meantime, Aydin and Dylan made some incredible progress in their swimming lessons with Sweet Tea. By the time Greg and Phaedra were done gossiping, Lateasha learned how to doggy paddle across the pool! She’ll be swimming across the English Channel in no time.
The freaks come out at Whitnik
When the time arrived for Whitnik, it seriously looked like one of the best Bravo parties we’ve seen in a while. They pulled up in hydraulic lowriders, Dr. Eugene was dressed like LL Cool J. It was all fun and games until a couple of unexpected guests showed up at the party.
First up was Dr. Contessa and her husband, Dr. Scott. Although we’ve known for months that they were returning to the show, the rest of the M2M cast seemed genuinely surprised to see them roll up.
“Contessa just? Oh, the night is done,” Dr. Jackie groaned in a confessional.
Dr. Contesssa left the show on friendly terms with most of the cast, but she and Heavenly never resolved their beef from Season 9. Her presence at the party seemed like a ticking timebomb, and Dr. Hevenly didn’t know how to act.
“I don’t know why Sweet Tea [brought] Contessa, that just gives me a bad vibe,” Heavenly admitted in a confessional. “Maybe they’re gonna take turns whipping my ass. I have no clue. “
The second surprise guest to make a grand entrance was none other than Miss Quad, Miss Quad! She pulled up and left Dr. Simone dumbfounded. You know she was having flashbacks to last season when Quad crashed the Med Gala.
Unbeknownst to Simone, Quad was invited to this party. Her husband went behind her back and personally invited the M2M OG. He said he liked Quad and wanted to see her welcomed back into the group. Cecil deserves a round of applause for that.
So, if you’re keeping track, that means Quad has Dr. Heavenly and Cecil on her side. Plus, in a flashback, we see that Dr. Jackie had also forgiven Quad. With three inroads to the group, it’s safe to say Quad is officially back, y’all.
Heavenly and Sweet Tea face off
Fortunately, no one got their ass “whipped” at Whitnik. Most of the ladies with outstanding issues decided to save their conversations for later. Plus, Dr. Scott randomly started performing a song, so they couldn’t do much talking with all of that noise happening in the background.
We saw Heavenly and Contessa hug and ignore each other. Quad and Simone did the same thing. Unfortunately, Dr. Heavenly and Sweet Tea didn’t have that same level of self-awareness, and they got into a major argument at the end of the episode. So much for all of the “HBCU love” Simone was trying to promote.
“There have been some harsh things that have come from your wife,” Dr. Greg told Damon.
Heavenly quickly interjected, “There have been some harsh things coming from your wife. You act like you don’t see it.”
Then, the couples started going back and forth about the cheating accusations. Heavenly, who was struggling with her costume wig all night, didn’t have the patience for Sweet Tea. She erupted and told Dr Greg, “Watch your wife.”
“If she say one more disrespectful thing, I’m sending her a cease and desist,” Sweet Tea replied, before getting pulled away by Phaedra.
You have to commend Sweet Tea for ushering in her sophomore season with a classic “cease and desist” threat. She’s taking after the many Bravolebirites that came before her.
As the credits rolled, Dr. Simone and Cecil reflected on the party and how it got derailed by Heavenly and Lateasha. Simone joked, “This is the kind of behavior that got Freaknik canceled.”
Married to Medicine Season 11 continues on Bravo on Sundays at 9/8c. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
