Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was all about new beginnings. Several of the couples are embarking on new journeys in some way. The only issue is that in many of those cases they likelihood of it working out is very slim. But I guess we will just have to wait and see how this shit show unfolds.
Elizabeth Potthast Castravet‘s family confronts her about Andrei Castravet‘s actions. Jess extends an invite to Colt Johnson. Skyla impedes Angela Deem‘s wedding. Larissa Dos Santos Lima finds out shocking news. Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa‘s upcoming trip is threatened. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After recap!
Karine Staehle and Paul Staehle are leaving Brazil to embark on a new life in America. Paul’s unpredictable nature causes concern for Karine’s family. Who can blame them? Paul is literally a walking human time bomb. After arriving, things get off to a rocky start, almost immediately. When Karine takes the baby out of the car seat to comfort him, Paul freaks out. He starts screaming and jumps out of the car into oncoming traffic. WTF!
This guy is like something out of a psychological thriller. How has poor Karine lasted this long? Obviously she isn’t aware of the laws in the U.S. He could have calmly explained why she had to wait until they stopped to tend to the baby. The hotel was literally a block away, so why Paul jumped from the vehicle is beyond me. He just had to run from the car screaming like a banshee.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Karine is surprised they aren’t staying with Paul’s family. After leaving her close knit family, she expected to have more support. After witnessing the drama in the car, she should understand why that isn’t possible. The way he spoke to his mother is crazy. I could imagine Paul coming in with all of his bags and mosquito nets and completely taking over his parent’s home. By the time he was done, that house would look like a scene out of hoarders.
After arguing the night before, Colt and Jess decide to compromise and be more understanding of their differences. Jess then invites Colt to come with her to visit her family in Brazil. Larissa never wanted him to interact with his family so he is elated. I’m not sure if this is genuine, or just a way to advance things quickly. In a cringy scene we are forced to watch as these two dance in public. The last thing I needed to see is Colt shaking his ass for the camera. I need a wine refill immediately!
Jess meets with friends who are concerned about her relationship with Colt. After meeting him, they believe he is controlling. They also think he may be cheating. He frequently talks to another woman who he claims to have met at the donut shop gym. Although Jess doesn’t like Colt’s controlling ways, she still wants to pursue something with him. Hmm… could her need for a green card have something to do with that?
Larissa is depressed she doesn’t have a man to support her. But she is excited to go on a blind date to meet a new mystery man who looks like a Donald Trump Jr. doppelganger. When Larissa arrives, she meets a well-dressed man bearing gifts. As soon as they sit down, he begins to interview her. He finds out very quickly that she has been arrested several times and has no interest in philanthropy or anything else not superficial. Way to win him over Larissa! This guy is clearly missed the memo that she is not a conversationalist. I would be surprised if there is a second date, but you never know. Something seemed a little off about him anyway.
Larissa is putting all of her effort getting ready for her future man with beauty regiments. She decides to try a procedure that involves a machine contouring her abdominal muscles. The scene is like soft porn with Larissa moaning the entire time. She reveals to the attendant that she is jealous Colt is in a new relationship. She is even considering contacting Jess to warn her about Colt. It sounds like she is just looking for an excuse to start some drama. This should definitely be entertaining if nothing else.
Andrei calls his parents to inform them of his plans to finally have a traditional Moldovan wedding. He and his parents begin excitedly making preparations like she isn’t even in the room. Andrei wants to stay with his parents for three weeks. Elizabeth was hoping to stay with her family to help make them more comfortable. Elizabeth becomes irritated when she feels like her husband is once again making decisions without her. She may want to get used to it, it seems like he plans on making most of the decisions regardless.
Elizabeth meets with family to find a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials. Things a bit tense when her family confronts her about missing out on the wedding due to last minute notice. Although she finds dress of her dreams, the occasion is dampened by the thought of some of people not being in attendance. But Elizabeth has decided to sacrifice her personal feelings for Andrei. He didn’t have anyone in his family for their first wedding.
Syngin Colchester is interviewing for his first job since arriving in the U.S. Despite his experience in South Africa, he is like a fish out of water in an Irish pub. Although he gave a compelling story about why he needs the job, he doesn’t receive an immediate answer. Tania is concerned that bartending could put her husband at risk for abusing alcohol. I am really curious about his drinking habits. Tania seems like she drinks just as much as him.
Tania has a follow up doctor’s appointment for the injury to her foot. She finds out that she has a long road to recovery before she can consider going back to work. Even after intense rehab, she may never be able to stand on her feet for the long periods of time that are required for her bartending job.
This creates an intense amount of pressure for Syngin to find a job and become the sole breadwinner. Tania not being able to work for an extended period of time is only making matters worse. When Syngin learns that his wife could also have arthritis he becomes extremely irritated. Is it just me or do these two seem to make everything into an argument?
Angela meets with her lawyer to discuss creating a will. After her doctor’s appointment, she is concerned that if something happens to her, Michael Ilesanmi could inherit everything. She wants to ensure both Michael and her grandchildren will be protected. She also learns that her case has been transferred from Nigeria to the U.S. Her lawyer recommends that she hold off on her trip for another month.
Angela tries to convince her daughter, Skyla to be a witness for her wedding, to no avail. In Nigeria, there need to be another American witness in order for them to get married. Angela video calls Michael for back up, as if Skyla will listen to him. Skyla doesn’t support the marriage, so she isn’t budging on her decision. Looks like Angela is going to have to sucker someone else to go with her.
When Asuelu calls his sister, he finds out there is measles outbreak in Samoa that could affect his trip. When he informs Kalani, naturally she is concerned about the well being of her children. Only one of their children has been vaccinated for measles because of his age. The doctor is willing to vaccinate their youngest son early, but she advises them to wait to travel, if possible.
Asuelu doesn’t seem to understand the issue and thinks they should stay at a hotel to be safe. Kalani doesn’t want to take any unnecessary risks with her family. I know Asuelu is homesick, but will it kill him to wait a few more months to see his family.

Perhaps one of the most drama-filled couples to ever grace the 90 Day Fiance franchise is Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos. Most of their drama centered around living with Colt’s mother, Debbie Johnson and all of the tension that caused in their marriage (along with Colt and Debbie’s “Norman Bates”-esque relationship). The couple had their fair share of ups and downs and ultimately ended after Larissa’s third arrest for domestic violence.
Given all of their history it is hard to imagine that Larissa might still deep down miss Colt (better known as
“Colt-ee”) or even remember absolutely anything positive when thinking back, though this seems to be the case. Since watching her ex and his new girlfriend Jess Caroline on the new season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Larissa seems to have her own take on their relationship as well as her hopes for a future relationship with Colt.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Larissa recalled that when she and Colt weren’t in a bad place, their relationship was “amazing”, as she put it, and she was unhappy with the way things ended.
Larissa stated, “To be honest, I think Colt and I need final closure. I believe if Colt and I had the chance to talk, things could be good for us. But people around him make drama, people around me make drama, and I feel like I need this closure from him.”
When asked what she would say to Colt if given the chance, she shared, “I would say, ‘Colt, you were important to me, I believe I was also important to you, because when I met you, you don’t have nothing.” She continues on saying, “‘But people around you make too much drama … I wish we could stop. We could be like ex-husband and ex-wife, but we don’t hate each other.'”
We saw Larissa on the first episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After admitting that she missed Colt’s complimentary words and strong sex drive. When the topic of trying to get back together came up, Larissa told Entertainment Tonight “never say never”, though more importantly, she wishes for just a friendship.
On the topic of Colt’s new love interest, 26-year-old Brazillian Au Pair Jess, Larissa– in her true outspoken fashion was not afraid to hold back. “I feel that she’s pretty, I believe they have a good connection,” Larissa stated, “But I feel like Jessica is way too much to him. Like, she’s too fast to him. Like, sex on the first date… I don’t know, I feel like it’s too much for him. And I believe he’s like, ‘Whoa, wait.'”
This of course seems like shocking news to most 90 Day Fiance fans, as Colt seemed rather unbothered by Jessica’s sexual prowess and so far, it seems to be the only common thread in their relationship. Larrisa, on the other hand, explained of her ex-husband, “The Colt that I know, he’s a little bit more conservative, you know?” she continues. “So, I don’t know if Jess is scaring Colt or encouraging him to change his behavior.” She also included she felt “sad” seeing Colt starting a new relationship, especially with someone who is also from Brazil.
She mentioned “She’s Brazilian, I’m Brazilian, and I thought, ‘Whoa, that could be me.’ But I mean, wishing him and her the best. I believe they are a good couple but just kinda, she’s too fast and he’s like, ‘Whoa, I don’t know what’s going on.'” We will have to watch this season to see if Colt and Jess’s relationship will become more serious, and somewhere in Vegas, Larissa is watching too.

We are only four episodes into season 2 of the 90 Day Fiance break out franchise 90 Day Fiance the Other Way. While some of the cast are basically repeating old storylines, we actually have a new crop of interesting people to follow. There’s the age-old (no pun intended) story of Sumit and Jenny Slatten who are going forward with her move to India. Deavan Clegg is still taking her entire family to South Korea. (All to live with unemployed Jihoon Lee. Wait, is stealing and selling cellphones a job?) Supposedly Deavan moved because a family member tried to kidnap her while pregnant? Idk. On a more interesting note, the wholesome couple we don’t deserve, Armando Rubio and Kenneth Niedermeier are stealing viewers’ hearts. They have a rational and truly romantic but tragic story. Check our most recent episode recap for more.
Then there’s Brittany Banks and Yazan. Call me biased but I love a gold-digger-esque story. Give me all the Anfisa Nava or Larissa Dos Santos Lima plot points. Inject them into my veins. For the time being, I actually think Brittany is with Yazan for the right reasons. Her dad is simply lovely, so I don’t predict many daddy issues. BUT SHE HAS AN EX WHO IS 85. Now you’ve caught my interest…
Brittany recently dished on her love life in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She shared that she got into “the wrong relationship” when she was 17. She said that her ex was very controlling. Since then she has only dated men 45 years old and up. That included an 85-year-old.
Brittany said, “For some reason, me and this 85-year-old really got along,” GEE I WONDER WHAT THE REASON WAS. She continued saying, “He was young style, he liked to go to the gym, I love to work out … He liked to go on long bike rides, I went for bike rides every morning. So, we just did stuff together all the time that we both enjoy doing and we just ended up dating. To me, at one point, I just stopped seeing his age and I was just looking at his soul and it was just so amazing, you know? I was just like, ‘Wow, you know, you’re great.'”
Honestly, the idea of working out next to an 85-year-old both intrigues and concerns me. Like don’t fall off that bike but also stay next to me so I look sprite as shit. Brittany shared that he was attentive to her, dropping off juices and sharing recipes. (I’m sure he makes a delish fruit cake with mushed peas). She said, “Little stuff like that catches my attention…someone who really cares about my well-being.”
Brittany claims she has no regrets about the relationship and that she learned a lot from this guy. She announced, “I learned about business…I learned about loving myself more. I learned about being more of a classier woman and having men respect me more, how to have more respect. … He just gave me more insight into a lot of things and he was like, so much of a mentor to me as well, and he just really, really wanted to see me succeed and win.” I sort of love all this. And Brittany also shared that though they are broken up, they are still friends today.
Brittany shared, “The age difference was just too much for a lot of people involved so it was just like, OK, we can just remain friends, so that’s what it was…Because I didn’t want to step on so many people’s toes, especially in my family, and I didn’t want, like, this vision out there of people and I was like, you know, there’s no harm lost in being friends.”
I know what you’re all thinking. Clout chaser alert! I’m actually not so sure. Do clout chasers move to countries with strict dress, alcohol, and PDA/promiscuity ethics? In the end, Brittany said“I just want to say, I hope people know now that when I date, it’s not for clout…For me, 15 minutes of fame isn’t worth going through a relationship with somebody because we all know relationships are hard, hard, hard work … I’ve dated a lot of ugly people you’d think that I would never date, but you know, their souls were probably very beautiful.”
One of my top new fave castmates, Brittany left us with these words; “I’m just a chill individual.” She added, “It’s only my 27th year out here, I’m just hanging out and doing me. If you like me, you don’t, if you do, you do, either are cool with me.” I’m sensing some bad-bitch energy and I am getting excited to see what’s next for her on my screen!

Dorinda Medley is not about to make it nice with anyone attacking The Real Housewives of New York City.
Last week, Queer Eye star Bobby Berk made headlines after accusing one of the ‘Wives of stealing from his store back in the day. In a new interview, Dorinda addressed the drama, and it turns out she’s not a huge fan of someone making vague accusations against any of her fellow RHONY stars.
“What’s the point? Where are we going with this?” Dorinda asked host Chanel Omari on her podcast Chanel in the City. “And you know, timing’s terrible… Here’s the thing, say who it is or don’t say it at all. I don’t do riddles, okay?
“Say who it is, or don’t say it at all,” she reiterated to the former Princess: Long Island star. “Because then you’re painting the paint stroke very wide on a lot of Housewives. And I think it’s actually putting a negative sort of tone on Housewives. So say who it is, or don’t say it at all. I don’t fire sideways, I fire straight.”
While that last tidbit about Dorinda‘s aim may be a bit questionable this season (just ask Tinsley Mortimer), many fans were quick to piece together that Bobby was likely referring to Aviva Drescher. (Back in 2014 when the alleged incident happened the Queer Eye star called Avivia a “con-artist” on Twitter. This was roughly when she moved into a new apartment on the show, and long before Netflix made him famous.)
As for Dorinda, though, she admitted she’s only a distant acquaintance of her leg-throwing fellow Housewife. “I don’t know Aviva that well. I’ve met her a couple times; remember, I wasn’t on [the show] with her,” she explained. (Aviva starred on the show in Seasons 5 and 6. Dorinda didn’t join the cast until Season 7.) “I don’t really know her that well, she’s always perfectly nice to me. I mean, I know nothing about her background or… Why would they think it’s Aviva? Just explain that to me.”
In the end, the RHONY veteran had some harsh thoughts for the member of the Fab Five. “It’s tacky, and you know what? Five minutes of fame,” she said. “Hope you got it. Hope you liked it. Let’s keep it moving. Tell a story about me instead. I’ll get right up there and let you know the truth.”

Geoffrey Paschel and Varya Malina were noticeably absent from the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Day reunion. Of course, there was plenty of drama to go around without this couples’ presence. But fans were quick to conclude that Geoffrey’s absence was related to public outrage over his past arrests. Specifically, the ones regarding domestic disputes and alleged violence towards an ex-girlfriend. A prior petition that circulated demanded Geoffrey’s termination from the show.
Geoffrey seemed to be taking a page from Lisa Hamme’s book as he claims that TLC did not fire him despite his absence from the Tell-All.
As reported by The Blast, Geoffrey has been making rounds on interview circuits denying that he was fired from TLC. He appeared on the Domenick Nati Show to say his absence was, “not up to me. I would love to tell you everything.”
Geoffrey felt so strongly about sharing his side of the story, that he wanted to film his own “Tell-All.” But, according to Geoffrey, contract restrictions forbade him from going rogue with any information.
Varya too has been speaking up and denying any termination by TLC. “I can’t say anything about that,” Varya told fans, “I am not the right person to ask that question because it as not only my decision. Be patient and stay tuned. You will know the truth. I don’t like to hide something about my life. I’m not comfortable with that. Stay tuned.”
Varya did share a video on Youtube last month regarding her showdown with Geoffrey’s rebound Mary. She expressed remorse for the way she acted when she showed up at Geoffrey’s house unannounced. Varya asked that fans be respectful of herself, Geoffrey, and Mary, but said nothing about her current relationship status with Geoffrey.
Perhaps Varya did not respond favorably upon learning Geoffrey’s complete arrest record.

In the words of the iconic Luann de Lesseps, “can you believe it, girls”!? It has been less than 3 weeks since the firings of Vanderpump Rules cast Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute! Also, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were axed. Anyone care? Didn’t think so. I just like to repeat their names next to garbage to build that association forever. Moving on. So the long and short of it is that Stassi has been dumped by her PR firm and then was picked up by a new one. This new place is shoving Stassi’s pregnancy down our throats, likely in hopes that we forget about her racist actions towards former castmate Faith Stowers. Kristen, on the other hand has been mostly quiet. Well, except her forced apology after this all came to light. At least it’s something!
Both Kristen and Stassi have lost a lot of financial opportunities as a result of finally being held accountable for being terrible people. Kristen was dropped by her book publisher. The witches wine business has been canceled. Oh and Stassi’s thirsty and wholly uninteresting podcast has been taken off all platforms! I’m over here rejoicing for some bleak bits of justice left in this world. Others are out here trying to get these two back on our screens. No seriously, some people ACTUALLY still enjoy these two. Keep reading, but hold on tight.
Okay so some Stassi and Kristen fans (I really didn’t know these existed) started an actual petition to get them back on their screen. As of this moment, a shocking 23,477 have signed, with the goal to get 25,000. Wowowowowowow.
This petition includes such ideas as “Ms. Schroeder and Ms. Doute have used their platforms to share resources regarding the Black Lives Matter movement, and the current protests happening around this country and the world.” Yes because sharing viral memes and PR developed statements is a *real* statement of anti-racism. But wait, it gets better…they also claim, “In the past, they have also raised awareness and worked for LGBTQIA rights.”
If my memory serves, Stassi actually argued with transgender cast-mate Billie Lee when she tried to educate her on the problematic comments she’d made on her podcast. This petition argues (rightfully) that “To fix systematic racism and to heal, we need to have conversations, educate ourselves, listen, learn, and do better.”
Okay. So. Start with Stassi? Like…what? Has she even made a statement that wasn’t a basically copy-paste of Kristen’s/obviously developed in an office by someone else? Or listened to her educational cast-mates? Asking for me. And these 22.5 thousand people, apparently.
Okay, so this next part I actually guffawed. The petition ends with a quote from Maya Angelou “When we know better, we do better.” Great point. Since Stassi hasn’t had the time in all her unemployment to even reach out and apologize to Faith, post anything meaningful about our current social justice climate, or really anything not about herself, I guess we have our answer. She doesn’t know better.
I’ll remind everyone that before this entire mess started, Stassi herself basically said she wanted a new show. Good luck with that!
