Bravo has certainly given us some polarizing characters to deal with. People you either love or hate, with not much grey area. The shows we watch often celebrate poor behavior and even reward those who may commit crimes. We enjoy discussing the fallout of DUIs or court cases. But what about the folks behind these somewhat messy characters? The network execs who run the shows? One of those guys used to be Andy Cohen. He was the Executive Vice President of Development and Talent at Bravo until 2013.
People have a lot of thoughts on Andy, now the host of Watch What Happens Live. Several of the core Bravo franchise programs used to be fun and light. Viewers appreciated the luxury and escaping from their own lives for an hour. But as the years wore on, a few of the shows became darker. Many fans felt like horrible behavior was encouraged and fingers were pointed in Andy’s direction. Kathy Griffin used to have a reality show on Bravo and she has pointed some fingers at Andy too. Now she’s speaking out about her time on the network and how Andy performed in the boss role.
There are several celebrities on the scene who have made quite a lot of dough from acting like a fool on Bravo. It’s a good job if you can get it, I guess. Andy is also on Bravo most nights of the week. He engages many of the Bravolebrities and the stars who love them. Usually we hear nothing but good things about the new dad. But the people talking are employed by NBC/Universal. Seeing as Kathy lost her show quite some time ago, she doesn’t need to stay on Andy’s good side. Judging from her comments, she won’t see his good side anytime soon.
On a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Kathy confessed what it was like having Andy as a boss. Her show, My Life On The D-List ran on Bravo from 2005-2010. Kathy also taped a few comedy specials for the network as well. As reported by Popculture, Kathy said, “[Andy] was terrible to me, he fired me from Bravo, he was a horrible boss the entire time I was there.” While this may be valid, keep in mind Kathy could be harboring some Bitter Betty moments because she has old beef with Andy.
Kathy’s Emmy-winning, My Life On The D-List spawned a late night talk show. Called simply, Kathy, she said Bravo never provided support for her slot and Andy’s WWHL was treated like a newborn. So she felt some type of way when her talk show was basically lit on fire. But things didn’t really get better for Kathy after she left Bravo. In 2017, the comedian suffered major backlash after a photo of her holding a likeness of Donald Trump’s chopped off head went viral.
Kathy’s career never fully recovered from the incident and it demolished quite a few of her relationships. Including with Andy’s bestie, Anderson Cooper. After the photo was released, Kathy was terminated from her slot as co-host of CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Anderson. Fun fact, Andy replaced her in the NYE gig… Another fun fact, according to People, that same year, Kathy Vicki Gunvalson’d Andy and accused him of being a coke head. She also alleged he enjoyed “taking women down” and suffered from a mean case of misogyny.
It’s safe to say Kathy won’t be back on Bravo ever again. Because in her opinion, Andy kind of sucks. Kathy told Wendy Williams, “[Andy] gave himself a talk show and he still runs the network. He’s the only person in the history of television who gave himself a talk show that magically gets picked up every season.”

Season 10 of Real Housewives of New Jersey returns on November 4, and I am ready for it! We all know that drama with Teresa Giudice will be front and center, given her situation with her husband, Joe Giudice. Teresa and Joe both pleaded guilty to fraud in 2014, and both spent time in prison.
Joe completed his 41-month sentence in March of 2018. He was then taken into ICE custody. Joe never became a United States citizen and was ordered to be deported to Italy by an immigration judge.
After filing an appeal, Joe’s legal team filed for an appeal bond. This would have allowed Joe to wait in New Jersey with his family until the final verdict was reached on the appeal. The request was denied, so Joe asked to be sent back to Italy until the verdict. He hopped a plane on October 11. The final ruling is set for November, but it certainly doesn’t look good for Joe. Teresa dropped a bombshell during the Season 9 reunion when she said that she and Joe would divorce if he was deported to Italy.
Bravo released the first few minutes of the RHONJ season premiere to their Bravo Insiders fan club, and it is intriguing! People is reporting that in the teaser, the cookbook author voiced some serious doubts about her marriage with Joe. Teresa told her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, “I haven’t been happy in so long. And I just want to be happy again.” When co-star Jennifer Aydin asked Teresa if she was still in love with her husband, Teresa replied, “I don’t know.”
Teresa told straight up enemy former friend Danielle Staub that she feels like “drinking a bottle of tequila every night.” Well, that may just be because of some of her co-stars. Just saying. In the premiere, Melissa remarked, “Teresa, she doesn’t know if she’s coming or going. She doesn’t know if she’s going to be staying married to someone or not.”
But the most explosive moment in the teaser came when Teresa showed her RHONJ co-stars a picture of a shirtless man. “He’s the one I hooked up with,” Teresa stated. People says that later in the teaser, Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga met up with Teresa and the mystery man in the photo. Joe asked, “Were you guys messing around?” The man responded, “We might have kissed.”
Relax, everyone! The busiest lawyer in New Jersey Giudice family attorney, James Leonard Jr. has an explanation. In an exclusive statement to US Weekly, Leonard stated, “The clip in the newer supertease is Teresa, her brother and a lifelong friend named Tony talking about Teresa and Tony kissing when they were in high school more than 25 years ago.”
A source told US Weekly that Teresa is allegedly “very hurt” by the way that the trailer was edited. The trailer’s release came “at a time when she is trying to keep her family together and work on her marriage.” Seriously? In an upcoming episode of the show, Teresa loses it when she is confronted with cheating rumors. “Who said I was cheating? That’s f*cked up!” Teresa screamed.
Of course, Teresa was spotted in December of 2018 with 26-year-old New Jersey realtor Blake Schreck. In February, they were seen holding hands. Teresa’s attorney maintained that the two of them were just friends.
Teresa is planning to bring their four daughters to Italy to visit with Joe the first week of November. Oh, and according to RadarOnline, Bravo cameras will be recording the family reunion. And Teresa will be rewarded with a big payday. Ka-ching!
It looks like no one will be putting out the welcome mat for Teresa in Italy. Joe’s mother, Filomena Giudice, and Joe’s brother, Peter Giudice, went to Italy to prepare a house for Joe. But Teresa’s in-laws are not happy with her behavior.
In a separate article, RadarOnline reported that “Joe’s mom and brother have told him that Teresa should not be allowed to see him in Italy,” a source said. “They have talked to him about the cheating claims, and how she hasn’t respected him at all since he was locked up.”
I know that Joe and Teresa’s daughters are thrilled that their father is finally free, and I am happy that they get to see him. Maybe Teresa should bring along Blake–just in case she needs someone to hold her hand.

Is Kelly Bensimon dating Southern Charm cast member Whitney Sudler-Smith? That’s what a lot of Instagram users think after their super random exchange in the comments section.
As random as this does seem, it seems like everyone on a Bravo show meets each other eventually.
Whitney shared a photo from a football game with his father and caption about an upcoming shoulder surgery. Kelly responded with some pink heart emojis. Harmless enough, right? Well, the Instagram account Comments By Bravo came through with a legendary screenshot.
Whitney responded to Kelly with “Can’t wait for you to nurse me after.” Wait. What? Are these two hooking up dating? Patricia Altschul, can you please share your thoughts?
Well, apparently, they’re not together. Kelly’s rep told People, “They have been good friends for years.” A different rep for the Bravo network told the magazine, “They’re old friends and not dating.” But are they hooking up? Have they ever hooked up? Nevertheless, Whitney probably wouldn’t admit it if they ever did. Just ask Kathryn Dennis. She knows all about that.
He does tend to go for the Real Housewives of New York ladies, allegedly. Or at least that is something his own mother seemed to hint at (pretty strongly) with some comments she made about Sonja Morgan and Whitney a few months ago. Normally, moms don’t insinuate about their kids’ hookups, but this is why I love Patricia. Again, I really need to hear her comments on the possibility of a Kelly and Whitney hookup.
I can’t explain why, but I just want this to be true. This is the most random pairing and I am weirdly here for it. Please be true. I can’t help fantasizing about Kelly bringing her jelly beans and some Al Sharpton references to a Southern Charm cast trip.

I don’t know what is going on with Real Housewives Of Dallas, but the prevailing theme this year seems to be how LeeAnne Locken deals with her ghosts, vs. how everyone else deals with their ghosts. Last night LeeAnne, once again, tangled with Kary Brittingham over the past, who had it worse and who handles it better – and that past includes what to do with the problem of D’Andra Simmons.
LeeAnne’s nonstop wedding festivities are taking a toll on everyone, that’s for sure!
In between partying and being a Real Housewife, Brandi Redmond finds time to be an actual housewife by taking her girls to cheerleading practice. Brooklyn and Brinkley have a try-out coming up. They get gymnastics lessons and one-on-one coaching. In contrast, Brandi recalls how she taught herself back walkovers by throwing herself over the hill near her trailer park.
Watching her girls, inspries Brandi to hop out on the practice mat with them, and this was really cute. First of all, I’m impressed Brandi can still do those handsprings! Even if Brooklyn complains that her form is “horrible.”
I’m also impressed that Brandi literally taught herself everything, yet rose to Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader lever. I like seeing this determined side of Brandi.
Brandi doesn’t care if Brooklyn makes the team, but she does care that her daughters feel confident. Oh, Brooklyn certainly doesn’t seem to struggle in that department…
Stephanie Hollman decides to try again to mend her friendship with Kameron Westcott. So, they meet for coffee. You know this is gonna be a mess because Kam is involved and she, like many robots, hears the words coming into her internal systems, but can’t actually compute them. It’s like arguing with Siri.
For dramatic effect, there was a thunderstorm during this meeting. I like to imagine some Bravo producer was standing just out of screen, shaking one of those thunder-sheets ala a high school drama department, because that’s about the maturity of this conversation (OK, mostly the Kam part of this conversation).
No matter what Stephanie says, Kam cycles back to how Stephanie should have told Brandi to stop yelling “F–ing” in Kam’s face, and shouldn’t have confided in to Kary about her feelings, making Kam feel like the bastard-child of friendships. Kam thinks Stephanie is afraid of upsetting Brandi. Even though Stephanie came chasing after Kameron post-argument, while leaving Brandi to wander off on a Mexican beach ALONE (twice) to be eaten by dinosaurs or human trafficked. She is small enough to be rolled up in a tortilla and turned into a burrito. A spicy, ginger, trashy burrito heaped with cheese and edible glitter. Also probably cocktail wienies.
Isn’t this what Kam always does with LeeAnne? I.E. not defending her other friends for fear of upsetting LeeAnne! Stephanie and Kameron are having two different arguments. Kameron is arguing in defense of her personal relationship with Stephanie and hurt feelings. Stephanie is trying to teach Kameron a lesson about classicism and empathy. Which winds up with Stephanie accidentally telling Kameron that she didn’t feel comfortable confiding in her because their friendship doesn’t go deeper than a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Kam is shocked. She and Stephanie work out together! EVERY MONDAY. Kam shared tried and true advice her mother imparted, straight from a 1950’s Women’s Day Magazine, about how beauty is pain. That is DEEEEP, girl, deep.
Then Kameron stands up, once again proclaims herself the victim with another extended monologue about how she was attacked. She is ready to flounce out, when Stephanie convinces her to sit down using the Jedi mind warp technique of saying “I’m sorry.” It’s so good that Steph has a background in counseling! Stephanie apologizes for not understanding Kam’s feelings. And then they both agree to move forward. For real. Which means for fake, and actually not at all, because Kam’s soul is literally made of Barbie plastic and leftover scraps of Chanel tweed.
Afterwards Stephanie is exhausted from trying to wrangle Kameron’s teenage emotions. Still, she comes away feeling triumphant because she stood her ground, explained herself, and they moved towards a stronger friendship. “I literally feel like I have just given birth to a six feet tall blonde baby,” Stephanie gasps. HAAAAAAAAAAAA But don’t dare bash that baby!
Stephanie tells Brandi all this over lunch in between trying to play Jenga with LeeAnne’s various wedding events. LeeAnne has been selectively choosing which events suit which friends. While Brandi is expected to attend the lingerie shower and the bachelorette, she was not invited to the couple’s shower or the actual wedding. Which is better than D’Andra who wasn’t invited to a damn thing. Lucky minx.
Brandi is skipping the bachelorette for Brooklyn’s cheerleading tryouts. Good for her for putting motherhood before Jesus Juicing, although it’s probably because Brandi learned there’d be no strippers and decided, why bother?
Brandi has invited all the women to a haunted house to meet with a medium. Like real demons will put in perspective all their fake demons. Brandi has been talking to ghosts since she was a little girl. It’s where she got her first DARE to keep kids off drugs campaign and learned the evils of nicotine addiction. Seriously – she saw her deceased grandmother at the foot of her bed, smoking. I actually find the side of Brandi who communes with the dead interesting. However, LeeAnne doesn’t. According to her, it’s anti-Christian and this is all the proof she needs that Brandi is the devil. LeeAnne judging anyone’s morality is laughable. Also LeeAnne’s whole life is dancing with ghosts.
The bachelorette party is more about LeeAnne’s crusty wedding planner, wearing a hot pink plume he got from JoAnn Fabric’s atop his thatched coon-skin toupee, than it is about the bride. Although he did gussy up a veil with a million photos of Rich Emberlin‘s face on it and a cake featuring LeeAnne riding atop a penis rocket.
LeeAnne looks like she’s wearing a vinyl table cloth as a dress. We also learn LeeAnne got her hands filled to make them look youthful and less like knives. She’s slowly morphing into Maleficent.
Instead of a stripper, LeeAnne thankfully has a drag queen performer do a risqu̩-ish dance. It was cute and MUCH appreciated by Kam and myself Рespecially after the Real Housewives Of Orange County orgy! (Still traumatized)
Stephanie tells Cary Deuber that her friendship with Kameron is back on track and she’s excited that they had an honest conversation. Meanwhile, a tipsy Kam tells Cary that she doesn’t believe Stephanie was being sincere and finds the whole making amends to be an allusion. Kam’s avoiding Stephanie because that’s what surface friends do! “I just don’t do fakeness,” she explains. “Yes, we agreed to move forward, but I’m not moving anymore forward.” So basically Kam stood still, letting things move around her, like a drunk sorority girl watching a disco ball.
Well, at least Kam is correct that she doesn’t buy fakes. Court’s credit card weeps nightly over this.
Then I’m not sure why, but Kary decides this is the moment to confront LeeAnne about why D’Andra is being excluded from the wedding festivities. And Kary got her first Housewives read, signed, sealed delivered, and slammed shut! AAAAA-Men!
Kary starts out by asking LeeAnne why she hasn’t been invited to the wedding, but is expected to come to all the parties – even though they barely know each other. LeeAnne, without missing a beat, pretends Kary’s invite got lost in the mail, then proceeds to educate her on how the US postal service is inaccurate. It’s a bureaucracy thing! One person whose invite did NOT get lost is D’Andra’s. She just quite simply was NOT invited. (I bet Mama Dee was)
LeeAnne’s perspective is that even though D’Andra has apologized, she hasn’t actually made an effort to befriend LeeAnne again, and furthermore after trashing LeeAnne’s fiancé, should D’Andra really be ingratiated into the fold of America’s Royal Wedding? After all LeeAnne it’s been 51 loooooong years of nonstop abuse, neglect, betrayal, abandonment; suffering being the black sheep, borrowing other people’s designer to cover up her polyester core, cried on stages all over Dallas all in an effort to help others, and basically she’s waited L’Infinity for love and she’s not going to let D’Andra’s bad attitude and skepticism ruin these precious moments. Especially with D’Andra being broke and all…
None of that history matters to Kary who keeps pointing out that LeeAnne got on stage at D’Andra’s 50th birthday party, publicly apologized with candles, and said she forgives.
Um, has Kary not realized that LeeAnne is basically a televangelist preacher who is always looking for a handout and some applause? She will ‘save’ anyone in the moment, dropping them straight to hell the second she has her filled hands on whatever she wanted from them.
LeeAnne even throws Rich under the bus by blaming him for not being ready to move on with D’Andra. Cue to clip of Rich telling LeeAnne to move forward and forgive. “When you show an action, you get a mother f–king invitation, and until then go over there and stand in the vasectomy line,” LeeAnne bellows. Basically D’Andra should show she cares by crashing LeeAnne’s events.
After dismissing Kary, LeeAnne goes up to Tiffany Hendra (I keep forgetting she’s at these things) and her wedding planner to complain that she’s getting yelled at, “because the almighty fat cow isn’t here to be worshipped.” Isn’t that, I don’t know, anti-religious?
I am 100% on LeeAnne’s side here. Kary had NO BUSINESS involving herself. It was so incredibly tacky to confront LeeAnne at her own bachelorette party, inserting herself in a decades-long friendship about all sorts of emotional hijacking.
Furthermore, this is LeeAnne’s wedding, and LeeAnne’s wedding events – they should be about her, not about D’Andra. If LeeAnne doesn’t want D’Andra there, no matter how petty it may seem, that’s her prerogative. Now cue Bobby Brown. And let’s move onto the next scene. Brandi shows up to a messy haunted house. She meets with some woman who didn’t bother to put away her dishes before the Bravo cameras showed up. That is brazen, and I’m impressed.
Apparently, this couple bought what they thought was an ‘income’ property in a small town outside of Dallas, only to learn the reason it was so cheap is because it’s haunted. Haunted by bad furniture, definitely! Now they rent it out to Ghost Hunter groups. Do the ghosts vaccuum? We really never get an explanation for why it’s haunted. Or what happened to turn it into such a place of the undead. But, I will say from experience no true southern woman – dead or not – would leave a kitchen that messy, so no wonder these ghosts are rolling over in their graves!
Beforehand, Kary tells D’andra about her argument with LeeAnne. We learn LeeAnne texted D’Andra to make sure she’s not upset after Mexico, which has D’Andra suddenly wondering if something happened in Mexico while she was too drunk to remember. D’Andra thought they formed a Pube Posse and were fine...
I thought this ghost tour thing was cute. And I liked that all the women got into it. LeeAnne even participated by ‘ghosting’ Kary! Well that was the plan, anyway. Brandi and Stephanie play a prank on the other women as they arrive. They pretend to be a haunted Santa decoration that is coming at them and everyone freaked. Kameron shares her paranormal experience of being at a sleepover, when the ouija board summoned her dead dog. Kam was certain she could feel his fur touching her. What she didn’t reveal is that this happened last year. Let let sleeping dogs lie, Kam!
Then they do a ghost tour by going into a child’s bedroom to play ghost ball. Afterwards, D’Andra and LeeAnne have a quick talk which resolves nothing, but doesn’t seem to make things worse. These two, like the undead ball stuck in a room with ghost children, will be rolling back and forth across the same 10 square feet of scuffed flooring for all eternity.
Kary asks the medium to “read” her. The medium says that even though Kary had a difficult childhood, she’s prevailed and built a good life. Kary shares with the other women that her childhood included being kidnapped to Mexico by her mother in a war between two alcoholic parents. Then, she was basically being neglected while her mother drank. Instead of being sympathetic or even listening, LeeAnne immediately turns it into another opportunity to point out how her childhood was worse. It’s like a competition for most trauma. Can someone in Dallas start a pageant for Worst Childhood and just give LeeAnne an award that consist of a ginormous baby bottle and a diaper with a tiara on it? WE GET IT, GIRL. HAVE SOME EMPATHY.
Kary pointedly mentions that people can choose to wallow in their childhoods or focus on what’s good in their lives. You know, like how she has moved on: had children, married rich men, started a jewelry collection… Whereas LeeAnne is still trapped in the fun house at the carnival staring into the distortion mirror.
Then LeeAnne pretends she had no idea how Kary was even invited to her bachelorette party. Luckily Kary pulls up the TEXT invite sent from LeeAnne’s own wedding planner. Featuring his face – saying LeeAnne wants Kary on the guest list. I’m surprised Kam didn’t explode into 8 pounds of pink feathers and a small puff of neutral-colored, lightly sparkling air upon receiving a textvite. Tacky, girl, tacky.
Well, this is one argument that ain’t gonna die anytime soon!

It looks like Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 is shaping up to be Teresa Giudice vs. Margaret Josephs. Margaret is calling out Teresa for “cocktailing it up all night while her husband is sitting in an ICE cell.” Damn. She’s not holding back.
She’s not just coming for Teresa as a wife. Margaret is also calling out Teresa as a mother. At one point in the season, Margaret actually says to Teresa, “you are the worst f*cking mother.” Wow. I have no words.
A Real Housewives of New Jersey fan account shared the first seven minutes of Season 10. And it is explosive. In true Jersey fashion, the season starts with some clips from later episodes before starting at the beginning.
In one of those scenes, Teresa tells Danielle Staub, “What do you think I don’t feel like drinking a bottle of tequila every night?” Danielle being the enabler that she is tells her, “Then, drink up, honey.” Such a great influence. Teresa also remarked that she planned to get “toasted.”
In a conversation with Jennifer Aydin, Margaret described Teresa’s behavior as “shameful.” To Teresa’s face, Margaret told her, “You are not the person I met.” Teresa eloquently responds, “Shut up, bitch.” She also tosses a drink at an outdoor party.
Margaret said it best when she remarked that Teresa has “gone from ‘namaste’ to ‘nasty.'” The old Teresa really is back.
But, before all of that drama, in a confessional interview, Margaret declares, “She’s stepping out on Joe [Giudice]. Who could blame her?” So much for tossing in the words “rumored” or “allegedly.”
In that same interview, Margaret says, “It doesn’t matter to me if the rumors about Teresa are true or not. It’s none of my business.” So what changed? How did Margaret go from that to calling out Teresa many times to her face and behind her back? I cannot wait to find out. Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 looks like it’s full of drama. Other Housewives shows need to sit back and take some notes.

This week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County made me a bit nostalgic for old school OC. A gentler, more innocent time when married Housewives didn’t make out with each other in restaurants like Tamra Judge and Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Or troll around looking for random men to lock lips with like Shannon Beador. I have a feeling that the City Council of quaint and sedate Del Mar, California held an emergency session to adopt an immediate ban on all future Housewife filming!
One old school Housewife who always stood out for me is Lauri Peterson, whose Playboy mansion party attendance was probably her raciest moment. Which looks pretty conservative now! After Lauri married George Peterson, she faded away to Former Housewife Land. During Lauri’s time on the show, her son Josh Waring’s troubles with substance abuse and the law were an ongoing storyline. Josh has been incarcerated since 2016 after being arrested for suspicion of attempted murder.
Lauri recently shared a disturbing update on Josh. She told Us Weekly, “I am horrified, sad, brokenhearted, disgusted and appalled by my son’s condition.” She shared photos of Josh with the magazine, revealing gruesome injuries that required multiple stitches to his face and 20 staples on his chest following an attack by another inmate in an Orange County jail.
How did this occur while he was behind bars? Lauri went on to explain, “This situation should never have been allowed to happen as Josh is SEP, which is that he is never allowed contact with anyone! He is in a module that everyone in it is in protective custody for varying reasons and never allowed to have contact with each other or anyone.”
Josh was charged in June of 2016 with not only suspicion of attempted murder, but also assault and battery, vehicle theft and felony evading police. His bail was set for over $1 million dollars. Josh was later ordered to stand trial for attempted murder in December of 2016. Lauri and George had already adopted Josh’s daughter Kennady before his arrest.
Further supporting her son, Lauri declared, “Josh is innocent for what he has been falsely accused of. He is innocent!” Having your child behind bars must be devastating for Lauri. His innocence, of course, will be decided by the courts.
This is not the first time Josh has been attacked while behind bars, according to Lauri. She stated, “I’m tired of hearing that it was a “mistake” that they let inmates in to kill Josh. I do not believe any longer that these are simply mistakes.”
Lauri went on to claim, “I believe that certain deputies are facilitating these incidents to cause harm, and even death, to my son due to his litigation against the county.” Josh is currently a plaintiff in a civil rights lawsuit against Orange County.
Shockingly, Lauri alleges that Josh was also shot with “several rounds of pepper-balls by a deputy into his cell when he was sleeping.”
Further detailing what she believes to be Josh’s current situation, Lauri exclaimed, “A dead man can’t talk. A dead man can’t litigate! Josh’s life is in danger! This torture must stop! This really adds insult to injury!”
No matter whether Josh is innocent or not, no one should be put in a position where they can be attacked in jail. Unfortunately, when you are behind bars , you are going to be surrounded by people who often don’t have much to lose and may lash out at you. Your safety will always be at risk, which must be terrifying for both Lauri and Josh.
According to Us Weekly, a judge denied Josh’s motion to dismiss his case in March. His next court date is set for October 18. Josh’s first trial was ruled a mistrial due to his right to a speedy trial being violated. If convicted, he faces multiple life sentences.
