Big Brother 18 Cast: Michelle Meyer – The Superfan
Big Brother 18 cast member Michelle Meyer, 23, hails from the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan and recently finished her degree as a nutritionist. Now, she just needs to pass her registered dietitian exam. Unlike some of the other houseguests this year, she is extremely familiar with Big Brother and watches both the U.S. and International versions. She also has a strong presence in the online Big Brother world between being an avid Live Feed viewer as well as interacting on reddit in fan threads.
The two most difficult parts about living in the Big Brother house that Michelle mentioned in her CBS profile can both hurt her social game. First, she generally likes to go to bed early which tends to cause a houseguest to be an outlier. If everyone else is staying up, and you are in bed, you are missing out on crucial relationship building and social play.
Michelle Meyer has also gotten into trouble in the past regarding talking about other people, spreading rumors and getting into drama. Her goal is to avoid doing these things if they don’t involve her as it’s not good for her game. She refers to Big Brother as “a giant game of telephone”.
There has been a lot of information released about Michelle’s planned strategy. First of all, she has no qualms about lying, breaking alliances and backstabbing as revealed in her “Meet the Houseguests” interview with Jeff Schroeder. She plans to win a lot of competitions including becoming HOH so she can take out someone she sees as a threat. However, she wants to appear weak while “still winning competitions” so I am not sure how that will fare.
Michelle is willing to be in a showmance if it helps her game and with the amount of single people in the house this year, this is definitely a possibility. There are also talks of a solid alliance, but having an even stronger alliance with a few of the houseguests within it. She plans on “being friendly with everyone and pretending this game doesn’t mean the world to her” which could work to keep the target off her back. However, showmances generally bring a target to you, so the strategy is a little muddled for a “superfan”.
Thankfully, Michelle has one thing going for her – she would rather win and be hated by America rather than lose and be loved. This means one thing – she is here to play the game! In her words, “everyone has a hater”.

Big Brother 18 Cast: Glenn Garcia – The Attitude
Big Brother 18 cast member, Glenn Garcia, 50, is professional mobile dog groomer and a former police detective. He hails from the Bronx, New York – something he is really proud of and strongly identifies with. Back home, he has a fiancée and a nine-year-old daughter. From what we know so far, he is the only houseguest with child(ren).
One of the traits we look for in the new cast members each year is their level of fandom for the show. It seems in the last couple of years, there has been more recruiting, which leads to cast members that aren’t really fans of the show. They may have seen the show because they were going to be on the show, or while they were in sequester, but did not actually watch the show regularly before the casting process. Sometimes incoming houseguests are actually fans, but they have only seen recent seasons.
While quite a few of this year’s cast members seem to be new fans, or not really fans at all, it sounds like Glenn is a big fan of Big Brother. In his CBS profile, he notes four favorite previous houseguests dating back to Big Brother 2. This may just bode quite well for him since he knows how the game is played and has seen lots of different strategies and had the opportunity to analyze what works and what doesn’t.
He is lucky he has this going for him since he doesn’t have much of a strategy going into the house. He plans to see what his fellow houseguests are like and then plan his strategy around that. Being flexible is definitely a good idea, but you would need a playbook of strategies to pull from. As a loyal fan, he has this available to him.
During his “Meet the Houseguests” interview with Jeff Schroeder, Glenn stated that he is versatile and can act as a chameleon. He further went on to describe that he “can blend in with a lot of different types of ages and personalities”. Let’s hope this is true since he is the oldest cast member (so far) that will be in the house this summer. However, he admits his mouth can get him in trouble if someone is able to get under his skin, since he will just blow up. In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he even said that his fiancée thought he was too much of a hothead to be on Big Brother, which leads us to give him the nickname ‘The Attitude’.
With a family at home, some fans may worry that he will get homesick and give up, but Glenn ensured us that is not the case. His daughter and fiancée are his motivation to win the money. Like many other cast members this season, Glenn would rather win and be hated by America rather than lose and be loved stating that “too many nice guys win this all the time”. He carries with him the following mindset: “I wanna be me, I’m gonna be me, so I’m gonna win it and then if you don’t like it, I don’t care”.
Not only is Glenn’s in it to win it, he has the full support of his fiancée. She knows that he will do what he needs to do to win even if that means flirting and leading a fellow houseguest on. He jokes that he will “get yelled at later”, but all will be forgiven when he gets the check and buys a house.
It does not seem like Glenn has many of the traditional strengths that successful Big Brother players have had in the past. However, we won’t know for sure until the game gets underway.

Big Brother 18 Cast: Jozea Flores – The Hunk
Big Brother 18 cast member Jozea Flores currently lives in New York City according to his “Meet the Houseguests” interview, but may also spend significant time in Los Angeles, California according to his CBS profile, where he listed the city as his current residence. He is a makeup artist and very tight-lipped when it comes to revealing any of his celebrity clientele.
One of his downfalls could be that he is a new fan and is not very familiar with the game. According to his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he only started watching recently and specifically pointed to Big Brother 16 and Big Brother 17.
He says “I’m going to be the puppet master” which leads me to compare him to Derrick Levasseur, winner of Big Brother 16, who is often described that way. In addition, it is not clear whether or not he actually wanted to be on Big Brother since his profile was passed along to the show from producers of another show that he had applied to. Lastly, all of this is evidenced further by the fact he named himself as his favorite player in one interview; however, he did mention Frankie Grande on his CBS profile.
One of the three adjectives (although he really provided four!) that Jozea used to describe himself was as a “visual genius”. This could benefit him in certain competitions where you need to use your vision and memory. An example of this is a competition where you memorize a certain scene and then you try to replicate it. You can view the version that you need to copy as many times as you want since this is a timed challenge (meaning the lowest time of all the competitors wins).
While he has a strategy, it doesn’t sound like it is developed very well to match his arrogant statements, which frequently include stating that he is going to win. When Jeff Schroeder asked about his strategy in his “Meet the Houseguests” interview, he responded with “being true to myself and knowing my strategy to the max”. This answer revealed absolutely nothing about his actual strategy.
Lucky for us, his CBS profile offered a little more substance. He plans to use his “mind to get into other people’s heads” which would tell us that he plans to play a strong mental game. He then refers to use “love and caring” for his fellow houseguests to help him make it through the competition. You need to be cutthroat in Big Brother, but I suppose this could simply be a way to ensure he isn’t put on the block. I worry he may become a floater.
However, there may be some hope for him yet. Jozea indicates that winning will mean a lot to him and he is going to “pull out all of the stops and the tricks to win”. He indicated that he would rather win and be hated by America (rather than lose and be loved) with a simple statement of “I’m going for it”.
It sounds like we will see a mostly social and mental game being played by Jozea, which can work, but if you don’t win any competitions – your plea at final two could be tough. Let’s hope that his chiseled physique allows him to be a contender in physical competitions.

Cary Deuber Addresses The Homewrecker Rumors- Again
I feel so bad for Cary Deuber. The entire time while she was filming Real Housewives of Dallas, the show’s resident villain LeeAnne Locken was obsessively trash talking her. LeeAnne has a weird fixation with Cary’s marriage and brought up whenever she had the chance- especially when it wasn’t even relevant to the topic of conversation.
LeeAnne told anybody who would listen that Cary was a homewrecker and her relationship with her husband Mark Deuber started while they were both married. It was absurd. LeeAnne put this out there, unprovoked and put their family life on blast in a very public setting. Understandably, Cary is so tired of it.

Without mentioning names (and giving LeeAnne more to attack), poor Cary addressed these homewrecker accusations in her Bravo blog– again. And she is furious.
Cary got right to the point: “I’m going to tackle the bad first. Let’s see…I have been repeatedly called a husband stealer and subsequently a homewrecker…Mind you, this has all been said behind my back.” Yep, this is just so ridiculous and LeeAnne just didn’t have the courage to confront Cary to her face- not that she actually had something to confront her over. LeeAnne just wanted something negative to talk about in front of the cameras that had nothing to do with her own outrageous behavior.
Cary channeled her inner Lisa Rinna when she wrote, “Never to my face; even when I went asking in the final episode to get issues out in the open. There’s this popular phrase out there these days: own your sh–.”
I really just don’t see the issue her. Cary was married twice before. She’s in a happy marriage now that is accepted by her step children. Why is LeeAnne pushing a non-issue in such a public manner? It’s ridiculous. Cary wrote, “Well, I have owned my past. I’m the one who put it out there. I was married twice before. My husband Mark was married before. He was married when we met. We worked together. We ended up dating and getting married. I have owned all of that. It’s all true. But I can’t own up to something that didn’t happen.” LeeAnne really is a bully and she needs to start practicing what she preaches in regard to putting out positive energy in the world and helping others.
Cary made her thoughts very clear when she explained how she felt after seeing the show again, “Now, re-watching the episodes, no one has actually said Mark and I had an affair. But it’s been implied and I’m sure a lot of the audience has assumed it because several people have made a point of putting innuendo out there. But the truth is relationships come and go. Unfortunately, marriages end; of course it would be convenient and easy if the marriage between me and Mark was our first and only one; but as everyone out there knows life frequently isn’t that simple. In our case, it took a long time for the right people to find each other and to figure out they were right for each other.”
Seriously though. LeeAnne is just trying to create trouble where there isn’t even an ounce of drama. I have no idea what is motivating her. Is she just trying to move the negativity spotlight to someone else? Is she projecting based on her tough past? I truly don’t understand what she’s doing, but it’s hurtful to Cary’s family and it’s not a good look for LeeAnne– at all.
TELL US- DO YOU THINK LEEANNE NEEDS TO STOP CALLING CARY A “HOMEWRECKER”?

Big Brother 18 Cast: Corey Brooks – The Jock
Big Brother 18 cast member Corey Brooks, 25, hails from Dallas, Texas and is a baseball coach that works with 13-14 year-old kids. During his “Meet the Houseguests” interview, it was also revealed that he has a career in real estate, in some capacity. Considering he is big into playing sports according to his CBS profile, along with having a career in sports, we can expect him to do well in physical competitions. However, it seems like he may be on the show for the wrong reasons, which doesn’t bode well for us as the audience. Keep reading for more details on why this is.
Unfortunately, Corey Brooks seems to be a relatively new fan to Big Brother and hasn’t watched much of the show. Therefore, he will be going into the house not really knowing what to expect. He has only watched two or three seasons on and off. However, he likes Cody Calafiore and Zach Rance from Big Brother 16 and seems to have decent reasons as to why.
During his “Meet the Houseguests” interview with Jeff Schroeder, there were some pretty comedic parts especially when Jeff was asking about who he lives with – trying to compare his current living situation with that of the Big Brother house. Instead of just mentioning that he lives with roommates and how he interacts with them, Corey started naming each roommate and giving a quick little bio including how they met. Eventually, Jeff stopped him and clarified the question. Corey referred to his current living situation as “a Big Brother house on a smaller scale.”
Corey is definitely very confident in his abilities when it comes to gameplay and strategy. He sees himself as a physical threat and plans on winning a lot of competitions. At the same time, he considers himself likable and believes that will allow him to have a great social game. To some, this may sound arrogant, which is not helped by the fact he doesn’t see any big downfalls with himself or his plan. He used the old “turn a strength into a weakness” trick and claimed he “can be too nice”.
Sadly, for us viewers, Corey is in the game for all of the wrong reasons. While he changed his mind a few times, ultimately, he said he is not willing to do whatever it takes to win the game. He was one of the few who would rather “lose and be loved by America” rather than “win and be hated”. He is very concerned about his reputation and wants to be a good role model for the impressionable teenagers he coaches.
In addition, and quite possibly worst of all, he stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he was seeking fame. Due to the few houseguests who have actually become very well-known from Big Brother, every new houseguest seems to think they will leave with newfound fame. That is just not true and he is going to give up $500,000 for something he will likely never attain.
Since Corey may not make for great game play, being that he isn’t all in and is hesitant to “let go”, the main chance we have of him being interesting and newsworthy is likely a showmance. He is willing to flirt, and possibly be in a showmance, if it is good for his game.
