Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Is Upset With Dorit Kemsley For Comments About Her Accountability Business
Thankfully Season 8 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has come to a close. After painfully boring non-story lines, this season somehow got dragged out further with three reunion episodes. Then, we were subject to yet another episode.
Even though the Secrets Revealed episode was just a lighthearted episode where nothing happened- much like the rest of the season- Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is annoyed after watching Dorit Kemsley make comments about her career.
Teddi shared her final (!) thoughts on the season in a Bravo blog post. Spoiler alert: it was all aimed at Dorit.
Teddi wrote, “The moment with Dorit, PK [Kemsley] and Boy George discussing my business — I can’t. I know Dorit probably thought she was making a joke, but as it goes so often with Dorit, she doesn’t think about what she’s saying.” Or maybe she does think about what she’s saying and she’s just trying to add some controversy to the show.
Teddi continued, “Can you imagine her reaction if it were the other way around? And I know whether they think it is legit or not shouldn’t matter, because I have over 500 women every day who share with me their accomplishments and how it has empowered them to make positive changes in their life. But words can be damaging.” Teddi really shouldn’t worry too much. Most people were too busy yawning to hear everything that was said during the Secrets Revealed episode.
Teddi shared, “I respect what Dorit does because as a fellow female entrepreneur that’s what we (should) do. It’s just a bummer that Dorit doesn’t understand that. Also, aren’t businesses built on taking money from people? Isn’t that how businesses operate and survive? I mean, Dorit isn’t giving her swimsuits away for free, right?” She did for the other cast members…. But then again, she named swim suits after all of them– and not Teddi.
She concluded, “Honestly, I left the reunion feeling like I did have work to do on my side of the relationship with Dorit. But now, I’m rethinking that.”

Robyn Dixon Says Monique Samuels “Doesn’t Want To Take Responsibility” For Her Car Accident
Unfortunately it has become a Real Housewives rite of passage to be questioned for drinking. Now it’s Monique Samuels turn in the hot seat on Real Housewives of Potomac. Robyn Dixon and the other Housewives couldn’t believe that Monique got in the car after the “four drinks” Ashley Darby alleged she had at lunch.
Monique insisted that she wasn’t drunk and that she was just exhausted from a busy schedule. Robyn and the other women just weren’t buying it though.
Robyn opened up about the last RHOP episode in a Bravo blog post. She confessed, “The thought alone of not only crashing your car but waking up in a ditch is terrifying and gives me chills just thinking about it. I truly was thankful that Monique was safe and no one was injured, but I was also concerned about the circumstances that led to the crash. All I could think about was how lucky Monique was to be alive.”
Robyn admitted, “Anytime a person drinks and drives into a ditch is a huge cause for concern. So after Ashley told me that Monique had four drinks when Monique told the ladies that she had only had two drinks, I was concerned. If Monique had four drinks and is brushing off her accident as simply being tired, then that itself is a problem.” Why couldn’t she just get an Uber? Or hire a driver? Or even expense a ride to and from lunch on production?
Robyn wrote, “It did not sound like Monique was taking responsibility for her actions and I would hate for her to be in that situation again, possibly facing worse consequences. Driving under the influence is not something that should just be brushed off lightly and not taken seriously. If Monique really did have a serious problem, then it would have been wrong for all of us not to address it.”
Monique should have just admitted that she shouldn’t have got behind the wheel and promise not to do it again, but that’s not what happened. Robyn admitted, “I was a little perplexed by Monique’s response. It didn’t sound like she wanted to take responsibility for the situation. ‘I normally can go five martinis before I start throwing up.’Say what? We aren’t talking about being blackout wasted, we are talking about being impaired just enough to fall asleep and crash your car.” Mentioning how many drinks she could down before puking didn’t help build her case.
Robyn added, “And being tired is definitely a side effect of drinking too much. Although Monique talked herself out of this (as she does everything else), I do hope and believe that she has been able to look back and process what happened and vows to make better choices in the future.”
Monique’s car accident was the main topic discussed during the episode, which is why it was so random for Karen Huger to randomly call out Robyn for being “the dizziest bitch at the table.” Dizzy? Did she actually mean to say “ditsy”? What was Karen even talking about?
Robyn had no idea what was going on either. She admitted, “That whole exchange at that table was baffling to say the least. I really found it comical that out of nowhere, Karen was bringing up old issues and calling names. But the champagne was clearly flowing and talking that night so I wasn’t fazed at all by what Karen said and actually was quite entertained!”

Carole Radziwill Slams Bethenny Frankel For “Using Dorinda Medley As A Pawn To Further Her Own Agenda”
Hell hath no fury like a sidekick scorned. Carole Radziwill is fed up with Bethenny Frankel. The Real Housewives of New York viewers are seeing the former besties slowly drift apart this season- but fast forward to the present day and the Radzi is very much done with Bethenny. She has some fighting words for the Skinnygirl founder.
Carole’s take on her feud with Bethenny is a million times more interesting than listening to her rant about running a marathon for multiple episodes. Carole does not play. It seems like Bethenny finally has a formidable opponent.
Hopefully this season blesses us with the version of Carole who wrote this scathing Bravo blog post. She really goes in on Bethenny. Right from the jump she called out Bethenny: “Spoiler Alert: What would you do if your friend called your boyfriend, secretly behind your back, and asked him to go to Houston with her? Yeah, that happened. Stay tuned next week for As RHONY Turns…but let’s begin with this week.” Why would Bethenny call up Adam Kenworthy “secretly” to photograph a philanthropic trip? It will be interesting to see whose version of the truth lines up closest with the actual truth as the season unfolds.
Carole dropped some heavy doses of shade into this blog post: “I’m glad to see my friend Bethenny step outside her affluent bubble, with her stream of rich boyfriends, rich friends with private planes, million dollar homes, and five-star resort vacations. One gets the impression this is the first time she’s witnessed real poverty. I know it was for me, many years ago when I first covered tragedies as a journalist.”
The shade continued. Carole wrote, “It is a good use of celebrity, and I hope this journey will make Bethenny a wiser and kinder person closer to home too. From the looks of it she’s got a ways to go.” Ouch.
Still, Carole insists, “But I’m not counting her out yet!” And then she slammed her again: “We are now in Episode 7, and as I continue to say how proud I am of her, and ask her about Puerto Rico, she continues to be out-of-control aggressive, parrot back anything Sonja [Morgan] tells her, berate Tinsley [Mortimer] (a woman who wrote her a $10k check) and insult me behind my back. And that’s just over drinks at Megu. Lol.”
Carole continued to call out her former bestie: “At lunch Dorinda [Medley] is being verbally water-boarded, (that’s what we all call it). Bethenny does this often, you’ve all seen it: her uninterruptible talk pattern that leaves her victims helplessly nodding in agreement. Sonja does this too which may be why these two are attached at the hip now.” Carole really put some thought into this blog post.
Carole claimed, “Dorinda is being used as a pawn to further Bethenny’s agenda and she doesn’t quite know it — yet. Not only am I a high maintenance, eyelash-wearing, fashion-obsessed, childless friend who doesn’t have a job and isn’t interested in what’s going on in the world, but guess what, Adam is too (minus the lashes)!” Clearly, she watched this episode more than once. Or at the very least, she paused it a few times to take some detailed notes.
Carole explained, “As a woman, it makes me sad to watch another woman, who I thought was my friend, talk behind my back with such cattiness and disrespect. But it makes good television and in the end that is Bethenny’s one true friend. Pass the popcorn.” She. Went. There. I am living for this and just hoping we see this level of spunk in the upcoming episodes.
Carole wrote, “All I’ll say about the latest bunch of insults, including the bizarre claim that I don’t have a career, is this: I will put my resume up against Bethenny Frankel’s any day of the week. When Bethenny was auditioning for B movies, I was travelling for ABC News to places similar to what you saw in Puerto Rico.” Oh. My. God.
She continued, “After that I worked in publishing and wrote for national magazines, and now yes, I am on Reality TV. The irony isn’t lost on me that while Bethenny is gossiping about me over pizza with Dorinda, I’m working.” Technically, gossiping over pizza did count as “work” for the show.
Carole continued to bash Bethenny’s credentials: “The entirety of Bethenny’s career, other than some minor success she had as a caterer, has been in Reality TV. From Apprentice to Housewives and all that it has brought her — including launching her Skinnygirl business — Reality TV has been very good to her. She worked hard, and I’m glad to see she is giving back. I’ve been her biggest cheerleader. I show up at all her launch parties, from booze to sparklers to candy. Last year in Mexico, I wore my Skinnygirl hardhat with enormous pride.”
This blog post is just the gift that keeps on giving. Carole wrote, “Unlike Bethenny, I don’t need to be biting and self-righteous in order to make myself feel better, smarter, or more successful. I hardly recognize the woman on television shaming women simply for having different opinions and interests.”
She continued, “Obnoxious lines like, Call me when you’ve had some success, set all women back. Ramona [Singer], whether you like her or not (I do) is a very successful woman. She has had success in business, gracefully navigated a nasty public divorce, and raised a thoughtful and intelligent daughter. That’s my definition of success. What’s yours?”
Then Carole called out Bethenny for calling out Adam. She wrote, “Bethenny did get one thing right about Adam: He is richer, in all the ways that count in life, than Bethenny will ever be. Unlike Bethenny, Adam was 23 and dead broke when he created and ran an actual licensed charity.”
Carole was downright relentless coming for Bethenny. Spill that (Skinnygirl brand) tea, girl. She revealed, “When Harvey hit last summer, Bethenny was partying in Ibiza, I was taking care of a friend whose husband had passed away, and Adam was working hard commuting three hours between clients each day. So, no, Adam couldn’t go to Houston at Bethenny’s whim. He is building his business, and he has to hustle — you’d think if anyone would understand that it’s Bethenny. How quickly she forgets the struggle.”
Carole shared, “He suggested switching one client’s day but couldn’t afford to lose his day rate — certainly not to take pictures of Bethenny to post on her social media.” Ouch. Carole claimed, “So off she went to Houston with a professional paid photographer in tow to take pictures of her and the endless selfies she allegedly disdains. Yes, that makes everyone I know chuckle too.”
Then Carole concluded by insulting Bethenny with her own catchphrases: “So get off my jock and if you’re going to come for me — you better not miss. You did a great thing in Puerto Rico, then you let your ego get the best of you. I’m still rooting for you… Until next week…” Is it Wednesday yet? I need that new episode ASAP.

Southern Charm Recap: Labors Of Love
There is a lot to unpack from last night’s episode of Southern Charm! Not only is baby Palmer (maybe) on her way for Cameran Eubanks, Craig Conover is finally coming into his own. Despite the boys versus girls theme that has dominated the season, there was a glimmer of reconciliation (or at least a melancholy trip down memory lane) for Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis. Even Austen Kroll is sidestepping the Shep Rose 2.0 comparison by coupling up, although it’s not with Chelsea Meissner. I guess her friend is a fine second for Austen…at least for now!
Last night’s episode begins with a very pregnant Cameran packing for the hospital. She is about to head to her last OB appointment, and there is a possibility she will be admitted to be induced. She calls her mom to reveal that she’s been cramping for a while, and her mom is ecstatic. That sounds like labor! Cameran has surprised herself by being super calm and focused on the end game. The anxiety she feared when it was time to give birth is nowhere to be found.
Kathryn meets Chelsea at the gym to work out with a trainer, who happens to be Chelsea’s roommate. Kathryn’s body has changed after giving birth to two kids, and she’s motivated to get back in shape. After their work out, Chelsea questions if Kathryn can see herself dating again. Kathryn recalls T-Rav’s unabashed flirting with her at Nico’s opening. She recognizes that Thomas is feeding his ego by playing up to both her and current girlfriend Ashley Jacobs. Kathryn isn’t afraid to play into T-Rav’s narcissism if it helps her achieve some leverage.
Austen and Craig jog down the Battery, and gahhhh I miss it! That’s where I used to run walk. The guys discuss Craig’s night out at Trio where Craig was hanging out as friends with Austen’s ex Victoria. Austen shares that Victoria booty called him late night and came over to his house. He initially ended things with her because he realized he still had feelings for her friend Chelsea. However, now that Austen thinks about it, Victoria is the life of the party and can dance her ass off, while Chelsea is a homebody. Perhaps he needs to revisit a relationship with Victoria. Craig can relate. He and Naomie Olindo were complete opposites, and he finds it flattering that girls are noticing him again. Craig is determined to find someone who adores him and his embroidery machine.
Speaking of, Naomie is playing house with her roommate Wilson who is far less domestic than Craig. She teaches him her shortcut for flat ironing dish towels instead of pulling out the iron. Her new nose makes an appearance in her talking head interview, but it seems she’s getting a break this episode after being front and center last week. On Isle of Palms, Shep chats with his father as his family awaits the arrival of the latest Rose baby. Shep apologizes for not adding to the family brood, and his dad jokes he could have a few kids around that he doesn’t know about. Shep is the process of decorating his beach house. His current mailbox money is the rent he’s receiving from his downtown home. He’s taking a break from investing in bars as he realizes it may not bode well for his liver.
Patricia Altschul heads to designer department store Gwynn’s to help style T-Rav’s latest fling. Pat doesn’t usually bother styling other people, but Ashley needs to get away from her normal California duds. Pat would like to see her in an outfit that doesn’t highlight her butt cheeks. Ashley fawns over Pat’s promise ring and hopes that Thomas will take the hint. As Ashley tries on Chanel and Jimmy Choo heels, she likens herself to a Barbie. Strike one. Patricia chastises her for such a comparison. In her third look, Ashley is convinced she’s Pretty Woman. Strike two. Pat reminds her that while she’s pretty, she’s not a prostitute. Right? Inquiring about the status of Ashley’s nursing career, Ashley cites that she’s having an issue getting licensed in South Carolina. Patricia subtly hints that men like Thomas aren’t looking for a Barbie doll to play house. They need to be challenged by a woman with her own life and career. Ashley’s eyes glaze over, but she’s brought out of the trance when Pat declares Ashley will take all of the clothes. Three dresses and $10,000 later, the third strike is against T-Rav’s AmEx. Ashley is over the moon. Thomas is due for some thank-you sex.
At her house, Chelsea checks in with her brother. She reveals that after a few days of contractions, Cameran is still waiting on baby Palmer. Chelsea tells her brother that she and Shep have planned a road trip for the gang to their shared hometown of Hilton Head. That evening, Shep meets with T-Rav and Whitney Sudler-Smith for cocktails. Thomas adores Ashley. There is only one drawback–he can’t date. Shep asserts that he’s glad to see T-Rav and Kathryn finally getting along. He couldn’t keep up with her appetite for sex early in their relationship, but he’s settled for some hook-ups in between dropping off the children…before Ashley, of course. Of course. Shep teases that he may know someone to satisfy Kathryn’s cravings, but he hopes Thomas treads lightly with his children’s mother. Kathryn may be fun and have a biting sense of humor, but she’s still just as vulnerable as she ever was. He feels protective of his friend.
Gwynn’s is capitalizing on Bravo’s episode long commercial, and Kathryn has been granted an internship. Her first exercise is styling a fictitious on-the-go attorney and mom. She stresses over the task but has a good eye for fashion. Not bad for someone who’s resume boasts an ice cream shop, a gym, and the statehouse. Down the road, Austen takes Victoria on a date to Red Drum, and she’s everything he wants. She likes bourbon and wants to take care of him. Victoria is direct with Austen. He needs to make a decision. She doesn’t care if he hangs with Chelsea as friends, but he needs to be all in as a boyfriend to her. Austen is sold. A dancing bourbon swiller who booty calls him? It must be love! He pulls her in for a kiss to seal the deal.
Downtown, Patricia is doing one of her favorite things…hosting an all male dinner party where she’s the lone hen. The men arrive dressed to the nines, and even J.D. Madison crawls out from under his rock to make an appearance. T-Rav regales the group in the story of his first fight with Ashley. She tried to be a fun-crusher the night before by wanting to go home early and finding one of his jokes offensive. He brags that he threatened to ship her back to California, and Whitney laughs that T-Rav cannot be tamed by anyone. J.D.’s only purpose seems to be making fun of Craig losing beloved cat Gizmo in his break-up with Naomie, but at least we are treated to a montage of a man and his feline. It’s rich that a man who conned Craig out of an “failed investment” is so quick to put him down.
The gentlemen (and I use that term loosely), sit down to a vegan feast, and Craig is suddenly very thankful for the protein shake he downed earlier in the afternoon. Pat slyly shifts the conversation to a very scholarly article from the Times that states fewer men are buying cows because they get the milk for free. T-Rav practically high fives himself for this feat before graciously thanking Patricia for Ashley’s five figure shopping spree. Patrica poo poos the man child. Inquiring about the price of the gowns would have been so tacky. She gives her practiced soliloquy on the women in her heyday who had to married by twenty-five or were fearful of being shipped off to spinster group homes. Thomas announces to the table that Ashley is dying for a baby and isn’t on birth control. They practice what those kiddos on VPR like to call the “spray and pray”. Patricia interrupts to tell T-Rav that Ashley was quite complimentary of the doorknob she wears on her ring finger, and he gets a bit skittish. He drones on about his conversation about waiting for an engagement with Kathryn, and the table grows silent. Who? “Ashley.” Oh, no, brother. You said Kathryn. Thomas smiles slyly. Either works for him.
Cameran takes the walk of shame out of the hospital and back to her house. Despite a pitocin drip and contractions, her steel trap of a cervix is delaying Palmer’s arrival. Thomas is playing with his kids, and is it weird he has a watercolor portrait of he and Kathryn in Kensie’s room? It’s sweet, don’t get me wrong, but… As they run around the house, Kathryn leaves T-Rav a voicemail requesting they get together for dinner. They meet at Le Farfalle, and to outsiders they would appear to be on an intimate date. He fawns over how stunning she looks (and she does) as she playfully fixes a misplaced wisp of hair on his head. They toast (Kathryn with a water), and he orders them an appetizer to share.
Everything seems to be going well until Kathryn gets to the point of this meeting. Thomas posted a trick-or-treating photo of himself, Ashley, Kensie, and Saint looking like a perfect family of four. She fights back tears as she calmly explains how much it hurt her feelings. Thomas gives her what seems to be a genuine and sincere apology, but it’s Thomas, so who knows. The topic changes to co-planning a party for Saint, but Kathryn isn’t sure she’s ready to bring Ashley into their co-parenting fold. He tells Kathryn that Kensie put him on the spot asking why he wasn’t with mommy. The two share a tender moment where they vow to work on being friends. A handshake means it’s a done deal!

Lala Kent Gets Busted Drinking Where She Wasn’t Supposed To At Cannes
Anyone who watches Vanderpump Rules is well-aware that Lala Kent makes her own rules. She has somehow managed to stay on a reality TV show without actually sharing any bit of personal life.
It makes sense that her boyfriend Randall Emmett would not want to subject himself to being on the show, but it would be super interesting if he did. We basically only get glimpses of Lala working on music or commenting on her costars’ personal life. It would be way cooler to see her out and about with her man Randall on the private jet and partying it up at Cannes.
Lala tagged along with her man to Cannes to promote his movie Gotti. It wasn’t all glitz and glam though. She ended up getting scolded for drinking outside of the hotel.
She told Page Six, “I thought I could drink outside the hotel.” Obviously that was not the case. Lala continued, “This French woman said, ‘You’re not allowed to drink! This is not America, this is France!’ Then she made a point to come say it again. So I just let her know, ‘I heard you the first time . . . and in America we don’t play, so you better stop talking to me.’” That would have made for an interesting scene in a Vanderpump Rules episode- just saying.
Lala also made it a point to emphasize, “I love the French, I just didn’t like her.”

There were several players – like last week’s vote-out Chelsea – that didn’t get much screen-time this season, but Kellyn Bechtold was not one of them. We got to see and hear lots from Kellyn, and whether you liked her bubbly personality or were annoyed by it, she was definitely one of the players spotlighted from the beginning. It helped that she was put on the “Naviti Strong” alliance, but as the game progressed, it was apparent that Kellyn was making many big decisions based on her “gut” instincts, and not with her head. It ended up costing her, as even though she knew that her allies Dom and Wendell were huge threats, she trusted Dom through too many key votes, leading her first to squander away her double-vote advantage, and then eventually squander away her chances at winning the game.
Kellyn remained well-liked all the way to the end, but like pretty much everyone else this season, she was unable to pull off a big move against the game’s bigger fish the more days that went by. Donathan created some drama on this week’s episode, enough to end up forcing him into a tie-vote with Kellyn, but Kellyn needed to go because while hers wasn’t the strongest game imaginable, her social skills and likability could have very well won her the million dollars.
I had the chance to speak to Kellyn today on the FilmSurvivor Podcast (the full audio of which you can find and download at the bottom of this article). But here were some highlights from the interview:
KELLYN BECHTOLD INTERVIEW
On using her double-vote advantage incorrectly:
Kellyn Bechtold: I think it’s pretty obvious, that’s where I think I made my million dollar mistake, was to write down Laurel’s name twice. My thought process there was, well now I feel like a total dumb-ass for not asking Michael to see his Idol, but I did ask Michael a ton of questions: Where did you find it? What did it look like? What season was it from? And he knew the whole story because he did find part of it. So I just didn’t get it. So shame on me. But my thought process again was that if Michael did have an Idol, I had heard rumor that maybe Wendell had an Idol, and I knew Dom had one…and I thought that if Michael plays his Idol, there is no way in hell that an Idol isn’t coming out to protect Wendell, so then it would just be me or Laurel, and instead of risking going to a tie vote, I just went ahead and put both votes on Laurel to protect myself.
On why it seems so difficult for anyone to try to take a shot at Wendell or Dom:
Kellyn: Dom and Wendell were the most amazing crime bosses at work that I’ve ever seen. People – including me! – were just afraid to pull that trigger on Wendell in the sense that I was trying to protect myself in the case of Idols. So when you think they have that much ammunition, you feel like you’re going to get struck by a stray bullet. It kept everyone totally in fear. And until you’re at a point where you have no choice…I think they’re doing an amazing job so far of keeping their troops in line…anytime anyone gave a shred of strategy, Dom and Wendell went after them right away. I was completely out-muscled after the merge, I like to think that I did all of Dom and Wendell’s dirty work. During the merge, I was out working while they were back sitting at [camp] sipping coffee, right? They just had a handle on it, and people were afraid to make a move.
