Stephanie Hollman Opens Up About Life Before The Real Housewives Of Dallas
Most Real Housewives earn their spot on television by being causing controversy and stirring up the pot. Real Housewives of Dallas star Stephanie Hollman is not one of those Housewives. She has managed to be both entertaining and compelling by opening up about her past and just being her true self in front of the camera crew, something many other Housewives should take note of.
This season, Stephanie opened up about her suicide attempt in her twenties. Now she is discussing the impact that episode on her life, how the fans responded, and sharing even more about her life pre-Housewives and since the show started airing.
Now that Real Housewives of Dallas is in Season 3, Stephanie is sharing more than she ever has and this includes her recent interview for the Reality Life With Kate Casey podcast.
This season, Stephanie, her husband Travis Hollman moved into a massive mansion with a bathroom that I wouldn’t mind living in, but that is a far cry from Stephanie’s humble beginnings. These days she is all about being a Real Housewife, wife, and mom, but back in the day she worked two jobs.
Stephanie Hollman & Brandi Redmond Discuss Impact Of Real Housewives Of Dallas On Their Reputations & Their New Friendships With Kameron Westcott
Stephanie shared, “I worked with Head Start during the day and then I wanted to buy my own house and you don’t make a lot of money whenever you’re in the social service field. So I got an evening and weekend job at a homeless pregnancy shelter with a Catholic charity Madonna House. It was probably one of the saddest jobs I had because a lot of the women were homeless because of abuse or just bad situations.” She admitted, “It was hard, but it made my appreciate my pregnancies a lot more because I realized not everyone is pregnant and has this nine months to prepare and [have] a wonderful time.”
Life started to turn around for Stephanie when she met Travis. She told Kate Casey, ” I would go to Dallas every weekend and we were engaged six months later. It was a fast engagement, but I felt like we didn’t see each other all the time, so we actually really had to get to know each other because it was all emails, text messages, and phone calls. That was the only way we could spend time together was to communicate, so I think it was a good thing.”
Nowadays, Stephanie and Travis have a very comfortable life, but that wasn’t always the case. She shared, “You know, whenever I met Travis, he wasn’t doing what he is now. He didn’t have the locker company.” She added, “I feel like it was a very different life than what you see now, or even Season 1 of Real Housewives of Dallas. It was much, much nicer than I had ever know, but not to the point where I would have been extremely overwhelmed. ”
She admitted, “He drove a pickup truck and it was a very different life than I have now. At the same time, it was strange to not worry about paying your bills because there were times when I was by myself when I would pay my bills and not have much left to do anything else. It was strange to be able to go buy groceries and to be able to buy whatever you want.” Now, Stephanie can buy more than just the groceries of her choice.
Even so, Stephanie insists that she’s not just buying things simply because she and Travis have the funds. She told Kate, “I just don’t like to blow money on things that I don’t consider to be things that I need. Today I have a photo shoot, I’m doing my own hair and makeup because I don’t really think it’s so important to go and get it professionally done and spend $300.” A Real Housewife doing her own hair and makeup!? That’s not something you often, especially the plethora of glam squad scenes in the Real Housewives franchise.
Stephanie also revealed, “My grandfather still works at Walmart. I do make a paycheck with this show, but it’s nice because I was able to buy my grandfather a car. I have my grandparents’ house almost paid off. My family doesn’t have a lot of money so those are things that are kind of exciting for me. I could buy handbags and clothes or I can help my grandparents live a great life. They’re in their eighties and I would love for them to just not worry about working at Walmart.” She truly is the sweetheart of the RHOD cast.
Stephanie’s life changed a lot when she started dating Travis. Through him, Stephanie met the other love her life, her best friend and Real Housewives costar Brandi Redmond. Stephanie shared, “It was the easiest friendship. It was instantaneous. I can definitely say that I fell in love with her before I did with Travis.”
Technically, Stephanie moved to Dallas to be with Travis, but Brandi was clearly a major factor in the decision making. Stephanie explained, “I think the scariest thing, when you date someone in a different state, is wondering am I going to have a good support system? Because I did in Oklahoma. When Travis and I got engaged, I was so excited to move here because I had a girlfriend. I had a really good girlfriend.”
Aside from some fun times and national attention, being on Real Housewives has given Stephanie some greater fulfillment. She shared, “This year, I went in and I don’t know why, but I think you just start trusting the viewers as well and you trust the producers and you trust the process. I was able to talk about suicide and depression.” She later admitted, “For me, even this year, I felt like it was something I let go of and I feel like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders because I don’t feel like such a fraud.”
Looking back, Stephanie said, “I knew it was going to be a hard episode.” She continued, “It was very hard because I didn’t have a lot of time to wrap my head around it. I had a mental breakdown for a week and it was very hard, but I will say that especially sharing that part of my life was very fulfilling for me and helped me not feel so alone because a lot of people said they have dealt with the same stuff.”
Her openness had a profound effect on a Real Housewives of Dallas viewer. Stephanie revealed, “One person was contemplating suicide and decided not to do it and I have all these amazing stories that I was able to hear.”
The Real Housewives franchise is nothing short of a phenomenon. It is so easy to get caught up in these shows and the grand lives that some of these women appear to have, but there’s one thing that Stephanie wants the viewers to realize. She said, “I think the biggest thing is that I hope people know that we are just people like everyone else. I have the same insecurities, the same celebrations. We are all just the same and I hope that’s something people watch and realize. We are all just one hot mess just trying to do our best.” The word “real” is in the title for a reason. Sure, the drama can get hyped up for our entertainment, but they are all human beings when it comes down to it.

Kristen Doute Hurt After Catfish Host Nev Schulman Made Fun Of Her For Enjoying His Show
When making a television show, isn’t it a goal for people to watch it and beyond that to actually enjoy watching it? That just seems like common sense. Beyond that, it would have to be flattering to work on a show that garners “super fans.” Tell that to Catfish host Nev Schulman.
He recently made fun of Kristen Doute’s enthusiasm for his show in an interview and it hurt her feelings. Vanderpump Rules viewers know that she is a premium investigator, so it makes perfect sense that she would enjoy watching a show like Catfish. Who could ever forget when she figured out that James Kennedy was cheating on her by reading the Uber receipts? She even tracked down Miami Girl and brought her into SUR. If anyone has what it takes to help Nev on an episode Catfish, it’s Kristen Doute.
Kristen discussed her former love for the show Catfish and Nev’s jokes about her fandom during an episode of the Straight Up With Stassi podcast. She declared, “I do not like Catfish. I do not like it. I do not watch it. I took it off my DVR.” That’s how it is now, but that’s not how it used to be for Kristen.
Stassi Schroeder stepped in to explain, “Catfish was Kristen’s favorite show. It was her obsession. It was what she wanted because Kristen is so good at detective work. Kristen can find anything out. So she’s like ‘This is my fucking jam.’ For years and years and years.”
Kristen in chimed in to explain how she felt about the show, “This is my calling. I think it’s like so cool because I can do all of these things too, but they have the money, the wherewithal, and the apps to do it better than I can.”
Stassi shared, “You’ve always said you wanted to work on Catfish or be on a ride along.” Kristen agreed and commented, “When they started doing ride alongs with people I was like ‘Oh my god. That would be so much fun.'” Stassi confirmed, “So you have been very vocal about that. That’s called manifesting.” Unfortunately this manifestation did not work out.
Kristen explained how she used to fan out over the show. She shared, “I tweet Nev. I’ve tweeted Max before. I’ve tweeted at Catfish. I definitely started my own hashtag: #KristenForHashtag. You know what, all of my wonderful followers on Twitter had my back and had that shit trending real hard.” Kristen even said, “They know that I’m right because I’ve taught them so many things, that you, Nev, did not.”
Everything was going well. Kristen enjoyed watching Catfish and followers supported her enthusiasm for the show. Then Stassi revealed, “This took a dark turn a few months ago.” Kristen confessed, “It did. It’s hard to talk about, but I’ll try.”
Kristen Doute Gets Support From Her Vanderpump Rules Co-Stars At James Mae Launch
Kristen began, “So Max Joseph, the wonderful co-host of Catfish decided that he’s not going to be doing the show anymore.” She shared, “Everyone that I think I know- my team, my friends, the people who follow me- all contacted me like ‘Kristen! He’s looking for a co-host!'” She admitted, “I thought it would be really fun to do it one time.” She pointed out, “I promote the shit out of it and tell everyone to watch.” It seemed like Kristen would be the perfect fit for a ride along.
Kristen admitted, “I get Google alerts on myself. I’m not ashamed. I get one where Nev and his wife are on a red carpet.” She continued, “You can Google this piece of shit interview that Nev did where he was super freaking cocky. He basically said that he needs a restraining order against me because I love the show too much.” Kristen added, “He was a complete asshole about it.”
I took Kristen’s advice and Googled that “piece of shit interview.” Nev told Us Weekly, “I’m even afraid to say her name, honestly. I almost feel like I need to take a restraining order out.” He also said, “Kristen really wants to be on the show. I think she’s almost … she’s trying too hard!”
During the podcast, Stassi told Kristen, “It’s secondhand hurting my feelings.” Kristen admitted “I unfollowed everything and I don’t watch the show anymore because that shit was so beyond rude for someone who commends what you’ve done.”
She continued, “He badmouthed me because he thinks he’s too fucking cool for school. He probably won’t even acknowledge this, but even if he wanted to say he was joking, it’s still fucking rude.” Why make fun of a fan?
Stassi admitted to Kristen, “It breaks my heart because you’ve talked about this show for so long.” Kristen wondered, “What do you want? Do you want people to never speak about your show or be excited about it?” She concluded, “It actually hurt my feelings and then it pissed me off.”

LeeAnne Locken Says D’Andra Simmons Brings “Her Ego, And Then Three More Seats For Her Ego” To Real Housewives Of Dallas
Spoiler alert: Real Housewives of Dallas cast members LeeAnne Locken and D’Andra Simmons do not leave their beef behind in Season 3. They are still very much at odds, talking shit, and spilling tea whenever they have the chance. There’s no doubt that these two will be sitting on different couches when they film the reunion.
Real Housewives fans have seen women become friends after even enduring even worse feuds, but at this point it seems very unlikely that these former best friends are going to reconcile any time soon.
During a recent episode of Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast, LeeAnne was asked, “So you don’t want to be friends with D’Andra?” LeeAnne admitted, “I don’t think we are currently.”
Then she was asked, “How are you feeling watch the season?” Surprisingly, LeeAnne threw a ton of shade with her response: “I have no emotions toward her whatsoever, other than I have pity for her because I do feel like there’s a tremendous amount of growing that she needs to do and there’s a tremendous amount of reality that somehow and in some time she’s going to have to face.”
LeeAnne Locken Issues A Warning To D’Andra Simmons
LeeAnne even said, “One of the reasons that her mother hasn’t handed over the company to her is that she doesn’t face reality. She blames everyone around her for everything that she creates.” That dig really has to sting.
She also said, “You’re saying you want to take a company that you don’t own from your mother, who pays all your bills, and do it by yourself. I’m gonna go with you might want to put a pen to paper and figure out how that’s gonna happen.”
LeeAnne theorized, “I’m starting to learn that ‘DS’ doesn’t stand for D’Andra Simmons. It stands for ‘double standards.'”
D’Andra Simmons insists that money doesn’t define her
It seemed like LeeAnne was complimenting D’Andra when she remarked, “She adds a tremendous amount to the show.” Then LeeAnne followed up with, “We’ve got D’Andra, her ego, and then three more seats of her ego. I’m going to leave it at that. I could fill up some other seats with some other things, but I won’t.”
There’s no chance that these two will make up in the near future and there’s a very slim chance that LeeAnne will invite D’Andra to her wedding.

Kelly Dodd Says Vicki Gunvalson Refused To Attend Tamra Judge’s Birthday Since She Was There & They’re Not On Speaking Terms
For Kelly Dodd’s first two seasons on Real Housewives of Orange County, she was essentially Vicki Gunvalson’s sole supporter. Now that Vicki is on good terms with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador again, she’s all “Kelly who?” She completely broke girl code by setting up Kelly’s super recent ex Michael Dodd with another woman and going on double dates with the two of them and her boyfriend Steve Lodge.
On top of that, she kept the whole thing a secret, and had zero remorse for being shady. Now this whole thing has snowballed and the former close friends are not even on speaking terms these days.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kelly confessed, “We don’t talk at all.” She also revealed, “As a matter of fact, I went to Tamra’s house for her birthday in September, and Tamra showed me the text [from Vicki], she’s like, ‘I’m not gonna be there if Kelly’s there.'” How did Tamra feel about that?
Kelly said, “It’s always better to be friendly and cordial, you know?”
Kelly explained, “The problem with the show is, it’s kinda hard to move forward because you go back into that time that you felt and then you say things to each other via text and you’re like, oh my god. You get mad again. I’m not mad at her, but she’s clearly mad.”
Vicki Gunvalson Thinks Kelly Dodd Is Trying To Be Relevant, Is Not Happy, & Wants Attention
Not only is it tough to watch the show back, but Kelly also feels like Vicki has different priorities. She said, “But you know, she’s all about her men. I’m not like that. I have a lot of girlfriends. I’m not just always stuck with, like, you know, having to have a man. Just, like, my mere focus is [not] having a boyfriend. It’s not.”
During that same interview, Kelly admitted that her main focus at the reunion will be to confront Vicki. She plans to ask, “Why did you tell me [about setting Michael up] and why were you keeping it a secret?” Hasn’t she already asked this? Several times. Oh right, Vicki refuses to give her a straight answer or take responsibility for anything. Ever.

Sonja Morgan and Bethenny Frankel’s relationship has come a long way since the days when they were at odd over the “cheater brand” alcohol controversy. Now Sonja is Bethenny’s go-to girl in the Real Housewives of New York cast- something she could really use these days given the death of her ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields.
Sonja opened up about how Bethenny is handling his passing and even discussed the new guy Bethenny was recently spotted with.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Sonja shared, “I think I could say safely that we’ve all been there for her. She’s been through a lot as well. We all go through a lot.” Sonja continued, “You know, New Yorkers, we have a lot of grit. All my girlfriends in New York have grit. We’re independent. We work. We’re mothers. We’re girlfriends. We’re wives. We’re ex-wives.”

On a happier note, Sonja discussed the new guy Bethenny was spotted with. she teased, “Well, I don’t know if it’s a boyfriend. You’ll have to wait to find out from Bethenny.” Sonja also remarked, “all [of Bethenny’s] guys are handsome.” Oh, Sonja.
Sonja continued, “All I can say from my side of the road looking from the outside in because I’m not gonna tell anything from the inside out, I’m just happy to see her holding hands with somebody.” Aaw that’s sweet.
Sonja said, “I don’t want her to be alone, and being a divorced mom, it’s hard, because you’re there for your kid 100 percent or let’s say 99 percent, and then the other 1 percent of your time, you should have someone.” Will this someone be featured on the next season of Real Housewives of New York? Most likely not, but if he is he will be rocking some Skinnygirl jeans and sipping on a Skinnygirl cocktail.

Kenya Moore’s Baby Registry Revealed
Reality Stars are just like us. They too create baby registries when they’re pregnant. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly‘s baby registry has been uncovered and there are still plenty of items waiting to be purchased.
According to an article from E! News, the total Kenya and Marc’s baby registry items is $4,791. The couple is registered for a total of 73 items from buybuy Baby. As of this moment, only eleven have been purchased. Maybe some Kenya super fans will send the other 61 items her way.

Andy Cohen Was “Stunned” & “Really Upset” To Hear About Joe Giudice’s Deportation
Even though Real Housewives of New Jersey doesn’t return for Season 9 until November 7, there is already drama, but this time it’s away from the cameras. A judge declared that Teresa Giudice’s husband Joe Giudice will be deported to Italy after he finishes up his prison sentence in March 2019.
Usually, Andy Cohen tries to remain impartial when it comes to the Bravolebrities, but even he couldn’t help reacting to the shocking news of Joe Giudice’s deportation.
On SiriusXM’s RadioAndy, Andy admitted, “I was just stunned by this news and I’m really upset about it. The man has done his time, he will have served his sentence, Teresa served her sentence. I know there were a lot of people who believed that they were being made examples of because they were people in the public eye and now it seems so extreme to deport him. He’s done his time, they’ve paid back their debt as far as I understand, and why not sentence him to community service or something else that he could do to enrich the community instead of deporting him?”
Report: Teresa Giudice Won’t Move Daughters To Italy
Andy continued, “He spent his whole life here. He’s got kids. He’s got a family. He’s never lived in Italy. I’m really upset about it. My heart just really goes out to Teresa and the kids.” Those poor girls.
Andy repeated his earlier sentiments, saying, “I just think at some point, the man has done his service, his time, his penance.” He repeated, “It seems extreme to me.” He declared, “Figure out another way.”
Then Andy shared, “I realized on the way here that Teresa knows the president. Maybe she can make an appeal.” Of course he’s referring to Teresa’s time on Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump. Andy concluded, “Teresa, call your friend in the White House.” Teresa has already contacted him, but that was before he became the President of the United States.

Below Deck Recap: Ralph And Rally!
On last night’s Below Deck we got normal, nice charter guests in exchange for Rhylee Gerber, who is a few halibut short of a full net. (I have no idea how you catch halibut).
Rhylee is still freaking out about her drunken fight with Chandler Brooks which was about whether or not she’s allowed to scream at her boss the way a 15-year-old screams at her mother. In fact, Rhylee acts like an out of control teenager so we’re just gonna go with that metaphor. If you have teens or have just recently survived the parenting of adolescents, or in my mother’s case have never actually recovered even though your daughter is in her mid-thirties, then you know what I’m talking about. And I do believe Rhylee is in her 30’s, right? Or the sea, the sun, and the crazy is just not doing the things Bravo likes done to their skin (Botox).
ANYWAY – Rhylee is pissed because Chandler is making the deck crew get up at 6 am after a night of partying, and she’s really pissed that Chandler didn’t want her advice on how to handle the deck crew. Cause she is a boat captain in Alaska after all and knows these things! Initially, I thought Rhylee was right: punishing them with a 6 am wake-up because Ashton Pineaar wouldn’t leave the club is low-down, dirty, and domineering 1980’s TV dad trying to wrestle back control at home because he hates his job. Where Rhylee went wrong is her mouth and her attitude. Something tells me this is not the first time she’s had this problem.
Even after Chandler and Ross Inia (her other boss) go to bed, Rhylee won’t stop ranting about it. Then, when Kate Chastain tries to warn her that she should let it go and respect the hierarchy of the boat, Rhylee starts yelling at her. Um, girl… Kate’s nuts don’t crack. They calcify into diamonds which will slice you right down to the size of something Adrian Martin could plate as a fancy entree. Also, Kate has looked evil in the eyes before (Rocky), so she knows no fear. Kate stared Rhylee down until she went to bed, chastened.
The next morning, to prove to Chandler that he cannot and will not break her, Rhylee is awake and ready at 6 am sharp for work. Ashton has to be woken up though. Time to hang-over shammy!!!
Chandler doesn’t speak to Rhylee all day – literally ignoring her completely and leaving Ross to deal with her 250, 000 questions about how one works a squeegee. Can’t someone put on an instructional movie as a babysitter? Chandler explains, “I just physically do not have the mental capacity to deal with whatever’s going to come out of her mouth.” Yeah, that doesn’t make sense, but I’m not surprised because this is your brain on Rhylee and no sleep! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, bro!
Finally after all the work is done Chandler pulls Ryhlee aside from a talk and basically explains that although he overreacted if she wants to stay on this boat she will treat him with respect. For Rhylee this means mumbling “f–king prick” under her breath every time Chandler speaks instead of saying it to his face.
When Rhylee isn’t calling Chandler a prick she’s telling everyone about being a boat captain in Alaska. Cause did you know, Rhylee was a boat captain in Alaska. Please go tell it to your shammy. Or rant to Caroline Bedol. She can just ignore you while she rocks back and forth, in her bunk while nodding quickly and gnawing her hair off with her teeth.
Kate is relieved that, FOR ONCE, most of the drama is with the deck crew. I wouldn’t be so presumptuous! Kate rolls out of bed in last night’s one-shouldered maxi dress around 9 am, but Caroline has already been awake after receiving a troubling email from her mother who is struggling with early-onset dementia. Hmmmm… this puts me in a conundrum. See, I want to make fun of Caroline for all her meltdowns and hysterias, but then I also feel bad because this is serious stuffs. She should probably be in therapy instead of cruising around Tahiti cleaning luxury toilets on a superyacht. Or who knows maybe she Skypes her therapist.
After learning that the charter guests are Alan and Danyele, whose first trip aboard one of Captain Lee Rosbach‘s yachts was the biggest disaster ever, Kate is determined to make this trip perfect for them. They want massages on the deck, a pj party to celebrate Alan’s birthday, and a nighttime beach picnic. Unfortunately, I do not believe this trip will go much better, and right on cue, The Trouble With Caroline begins to erupt.
Caroline is like a walking emoji. She has just no subtlety – none! Meanwhile, Ross is all mournful glances and tonal inflection and such low energy he’s like a nice soothing coma just washing over everyone. Everyone except Rhylee!
In the middle of making beds Caroline bursts into tears, and looks like that emoji with the head on fire as she runs out of the room to cry in a stairwell. Kate who just does not care dispatches Josiah Carter to soothe her. That’s like sending animal control to comfort a rabid groundhog. Josiah pronounces Caroline’s name like “Car-alarm” and visibly resents her for making him show pretend human emotions. Essentially he says, “Whhhhyyyee are you making so much fuss and noise and being an invasive species to my hubris? Which is so busy being busy and important in my mind that I have no time nor use for consoling you. Just do go home and find a nice dock-tor.” Since Kate does not have the physical capacity to emotionally deal with whatever nervous breakdown will come out of Caroline she sends her to bed, leaving Josiah to iron perfect creases in Captain Lee’s pants. And don’t think he won’t tell everyone who deserves the credit! Kate is happiest this way, though. She loves Josiah something awful.
The next day Caroline has revived herself, Josiah is still assessing her with a sneer, and Rhylee is still a clownfish. In fact, the only person on this boat NOT having issues is Adrian. He calls his girlfriend for a pre-charter chat and they coo at each other in some sort of love language last heard on Teletubbies. Then Alan and Danyele, who are clearly gluttons for punishment, show up.
While de-docking (is that a term) Rhylee rears her ugly head again when she starts freaking out over getting some barriers down and Ashton tells her to just relax. Nobody tells Rhylee to calm down! Or tells Rhylee anything because she was a boat captain in Alaska. But Ashton tells Chandler because Rhyle is constantly complaining about how she wants to learn, yet won’t let any of her superiors teach her!
Since Rhylee has everyone’s manties in a bunch Instead of getting the guests luggage to their rooms, Chandler decides they need a team meeting – immediately. He doesn’t want to call Rhylee out directly or make her feel like she’s the only problem, but yeah, she pretty much is. It’s just perfect timing because an unexpected storm is rolling in. Chandler being annoyed about Ryhlee’s attitude is totally justified, but his own attitude also needs adjusting!
As the guests’ luggage rolls away in the impending storm, practically falling off the starboard Chandler is lecturing Ryhlee about the chain of command until finally, Captain Lee has to get on the radio to demand he deal with the luggage.
And nothing says relaxation like a massage during a tsunami! So the guests are forced to gather their towels around their naked bodies – probably a routine from Ashton’s stint dancing the male review – and run for cover. Literally.
The producers tried to give Adrian some drama by having the guests worry about the dinner entree being veal when everyone’s preference sheet said they only like beef or chicken and bacon. It was some malarky because of course, they loved it, so lucky Adrian got to crawl back into his tie-dye love spiral to have visions of strange concoctions.
But really – what was that hideous Cookie Monster colored birthday cake? Pinterest #NailedIt. Followed by the 15 minute long sad PJ party which had Kate freaking out about needing ALL HANDS ON DECK! Basically, the guests stood around under blue Christmas lights for a few minutes, then went to bed leaving Caroline awake until 4:45 cleaning up! She asked Chandler for help with the trash, but the only garbage he’s dealing with presently is the kind coming out of Rhylee’s mouth. Even though Kate asked the deck crew to take care of it.
The next morning Kate finds a note from Caroline explaining everything. In detail. Like, “Dear Kate, Are you there? It’s me Caroline…. Chandler really, really hurt and wounded me when he wouldn’t take out my garbage. And I was up until the crack of dawn, which is so ironic cause I’m ABOUT TO CRACK at any moment, haha – only kinda! And the best thing about being awake alllll night is that the sunset is truly beautiful, but my heart is hurt over being abandoned…” Caroline just wants to be understood. And have her feelings validated. And feel heard! Holy Crikey. Kate likes things short and sweet, preferably 140 characters or less.
Of course, Ryhlee also wants to be understood and heard and validated! Poor Ross. Poor, sweet mellow Ross, was forced to take the guests out on the tender with Rhylee as the assistant. She spent the entire trip cutting him off, undermining him in front of guests, snapping at him, and interrupting with conflicting advice. Yes, WE GET IT: she was a boat captain in Alaska, but that’s not the same as appeasing rich prima donnas who want to swim in black coves and have no concept that the waters are rough. Ross gets it – let them swim for a few minutes, then get them in, and act like everything is fine. Ryhlee was freaking out about the weather, then taking her sweet time getting the guests on board by over-instructing them, overdoing EVERYTHING, and snapping at Ross when he tried to assist the process. Rhylee even told one of them to “ralph and rally” if she feels seasick. Errrrmmmm…
Back on the My Seanna, Ross informs Chandler of what happened, but his advice is to just get through this charter and then they deal with it. That’s not good enough for Ross – he wants action on the Rhylee situation NOW so he goes to find Captain Lee. I can’t tell if this will be the worst thing Ross ever does or the best…
Meanwhile, Captain Lee has spotted Caroline wandering around the boat in a giant maroon sweater, looking like a homeless person has snuck on board. He asks Kate to show Caroline the Lands End catalog and put out something ‘yachty’ if she wants to be comfortable because she’s not allowed to be above deck when they have guests looking like, to quote Kate, “a deranged muppet.” If ever there was a perfect description…
TELL US – IS RHYLEE OUT OF CONTROL OR ARE THE GUYS TREATING HER DISRESPECTFULLY? SHOULD CAROLINE LEAVE THE YACHT?
