Simone Mashile Confronts Kate Chastain On Below Deck Tonight

Mondays really do get a bad rap, but I have to admit that it’s become one of my favorite days of the week thanks to Below Deck. Rhylee Gerber returned to the show and she upped the drama during the crew’s first night out last week.

She asked Chef Kevin Dobson about the paleo option on the menu. He mocked her in response and the whole thing spiraled out of control. Bosun Ashton Pienaar did what he could to mediate, but he got caught in the drama as well. Did Rhylee jeopardize her job already? At least they actually do need her on deck. Brian de Saint Pern’s leg injury just keeps getting worse. So, that’s kind of an advantage to Rhylee. Plus, no matter how much Captain Lee Rosbach may want to fire Rhylee, she makes great TV and she’s actually passionate about working on a boat. There’s no chance that she’s going anywhere.

On tonight’s episode, Captain Lee sends Brian to the hospital. Is this the end of his charter season? Are we done with the Brian shirtless scenes? God, I hope not. Oh, and I’m also hoping for his health to turn around, of course.

In other deckhand news, Tanner Sterback “gossips about his relationship with Simone Mashile.” I had no idea these two even had a relationship beyond that one conversation about their grandmothers, but I am all for them getting more screen time. Tanner did say the mid-season trailer that he “went down on Simone last night,” so maybe that’s the storyline we are approaching during tonight’s episode.

Simone could use the loving since her professional life really isn’t going so well. She can’t make drinks or bring them to the table effectively. Chief Stew Kate Chastain had to teach her how to open a wine bottle during a recent episode. Shouldn’t she have learned this at yachting school? No wonder she’s been stuck in the laundry room all season. The only time she came up for air, she was incessantly sexually harassed by a drunk charter guest.

Simone confronts Kate about her Second Stew duties, which I imagine is going to be a total disaster. Kate has been so patient with Simone this season. She’s gonna blow up at her eventually. Maybe tonight is the night!

Emily Simpson Lost 15 Pounds; Is “Enjoying The Journey”

This season of Real Housewives of Orange County was tough for Emily Simpson. First, she struggled to hold her household together while she worked. Where was her husband, Shane “Lil Bitch” Simpson?

He was holed up in a hotel to study for the California Bar exam and was unavailable to his family. Shane couldn’t even touch base by phone. He failed that test in February and re-took it in July.

Earlier this season, RHOC viewers saw Emily visit Tamra Judge and husband Eddie Judge at their gym, CUT Fitness, to discuss nutrition and health advice. But in October, Tamra was shady to Emily on Twitter about the word “obese.” I still don’t know what set Tamra off.

Finally, Emily put herself first and has some great news to report. Emily posted on Instagram, “I’m finally down 15 lbs and I owe it all to @paulinastein 12 week program with coaching! I still have more to go but I’m enjoying the journey! I was in chronic pain, I was depressed and I weighed more then I ever have in my whole life! I reached out to @paulinastein and asked her for her help. I had no idea where to start,” Emily wrote. “I felt lost.”

The lawyer continued, “She helped me change my lifestyle and has taught me so much about balance. She has also encouraged me to not give up and keep going. Not only did I want to lose weight to feel and look better, but I wanted to be healthier and set a good example for my kids!” Emily stated. “I haven’t felt this good in a long time and with a new hip, and 15 pounds off I’m finally able to keep up with my kids and be more active!”

Luann de Lesseps Reacts To The End Of Friendship With Barbara Kavovit

Last season, for better or worse, Real Housewives of New York was anchored around Luann de Lesseps. Everyone else was a supporting player to the cabaret queen’s antics. Even fellow “OG” Bethenny Frankel, who announced she was done with cabaret leaving the show, had a melt-down about Luann’s ego and cabaret career.

While the other New York ladies were eager to ditch Luann’s holiday cabaret show, long-time friend and newbie Housewife Barbara Kavovit attended. Unfortunately for her, she made some comments that were caught on a live mic. #rookiemistake.

That’s right–Barbara was heard telling her sister that Luann “can’t really sing.” At the RHONY reunion, Barbara told Luann that she does support her, but Luann isn’t going to rival Adele anytime soon.

But Luann was not in a forgiving mood, especially when it came to a critique of her vocal stylings. What Luann said next was the death knell for her friendship with Barbara. According to US Weekly, Luann appeared on SiriusXM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show on and she blasted Barbara.

“Girlfriend, I can carry a tune, so hell with Barbara. That’s the second time, also, that she got caught on camera talking smack about me. … You have to pull the weeds, so you can make room for the lowers,” Luann said. I am going to guess that she meant “flowers,” not “lowers.”

Barbara responded during an interview on Us Weekly’s “Hot Hollywood” podcast. “That’s the thing with a narcissist, you can look at yourself and believe that everything about you is so wonderful and throw everyone away,” she added. “ I remember last year, picking her up off the floor, literally, trying to carry her, protect her, I was her protector for 14 years…To make it like she’s [pulling] weeds, like I was the bad person, like Bethenny was the bad person?… My prediction? She hasn’t hit rock bottom yet.”

And Barbara is done with Luann. “There is no good with Luann. I had a 14-year friendship with her that I will walk away from forever. She will never have me as a friend again,” Barbara remarked.

So, how cool or uncool is Luann with this news? Luann told toofab on November 15, “I wish her only the best.” That was a chilly response. “You go low, and I go high,” Luann added, quoting Michelle Obama. The fact that Luann never “goes high” is apparently lost on Luann.

There are some other RHONY co-stars who aren’t exactly crying over Barbara exiting the show. At the reunion, Dorinda Medley compared Barbara to a turnip in a fruit basket. Just the words that everyone longs to hear. Barbara is probably grateful to be off the show.

Did Teresa Giudice Do More Than Work Out To Achieve Fit Figure? She Reportedly Received AirSculpt Procedure

Sometimes working out 127 hours a week doesn’t provide the results you are looking for. Apparently that was the case for Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice. Teresa and her bod went through a metamorphosis during her namastay in prison. When the judicial system presented Tre with an extended vacation in jail camp, she decided to get into shape.

Emerging from her cocoon of indictment fit as a fiddle, Teresa continued her physical transformation after the death of her mother. She turned to weightlifting as a tool to deal with the grief of her loss and navigate the role of single mom while husband Joe Giudice was incarcerated. In 2018, Teresa even competed in a bodybuilding competition, taking a third place ribbon for her efforts. Now that Teresa got the body, she needs to keep the body. But she might have found out, the gym just can’t do everything.

Now that the RHONJ ladies are chilling in Jamaica (note to Jennifer Aydin, attempts at speaking patois to the locals is so gauche), they are also showing off their figures on the beach. Teresa has no problem putting the goods on display on display on display while the cast took their arguing seaside. Lots of skin and lots of bras were needed spray tans, right there on our hi def televisions. While viewers continued their amazement at Teresa’s epic body renewal, it turns out she might have had a little help from Dr. Lipo. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.

According to Yahoo!, Teresa “either forgot to mention it or decided to leave it out of her [social media] post from the trip, but a representative for the company posted the details.” In other words, someone let the cat out of the bag. A publicist wrote, “Teresa Giudice looks fabulous here! My client Elite Body Sculpture provided her Air Sculpt on her upper and lower abs, waist and hips on Sept. 6.” Oops?

Now you might think it would be EXTREMELY presumptuous of a medical facility to be so aggressive with patient info because, HIPAA, but that all flies out the window if a release is signed. The statement was in response to a media post promoting the trip and some pics Teresa shared on Instagram. The publicist continued, “Hmmm, this was not mentioned in the piece but if any of want the real ‘Skinny’ pun intended. I got it! And it’s not shady or weird, she’s signed off on all of this knowing it’s a press exchange,” she said. Gosh, but what about the tummy tea Teresa also sells on Instagram? This woman is entering into Lisa Rinna levels of hustle at this point.

The surgical facility rep, who may or may not be earning some major overtime wages also wrote, “Gobble gobble (and if you have one under your chin-we can remove that for you too!) No stitches, no anesthesia, no downtime, no pain.” Omg, we get it you are officially the car salesmen of surgical weight loss procedures.

As for what Teresa had done, I know you are all dying to find out. It’s called AirSculpt. The moral of the story is, when you want to get in shape, go to jail the gym! When that doesn’t work, drink tea that could induce bouts of diarrhea and dehydration! And if all else fails, have a doctor shove a tube through your skin to suck the fat out! I am thankful we have examples like Teresa to show us the way to making healthy lifestyle choices. With little to no recovery time…

Below Deck Star Brian de Saint Pern May Be Dating A Charter Guest From The Current Season

It looks like Below Deck’s lead deckhand Brian de Saint Pernmay have found love on the open seas.  But, he wisely waited until AFTER the boat docked to pursue his supposed love interest.

And judging by their social media, it appears as though Brian and his new friend, Kimberley Kirk, are having a blast together.

Last season we saw Below Deck Mediterranean deckhand Travis Michalzik shoot his shot with a charter guest by slipping her his number at when she left.  We later learned things did not go so well for Travis.  

Brian, on the other hand, is faring much better.  According to an article from Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Brian and Kimberley, who was a charter guest this season, have been enjoying each other’s company. On July 11, Brian posted a picture on Instagram showing him hanging out with Kimberley and fellow costars Ashton Pienaar, Kevin Dobson, and Simone Mashile.  He captioned the photo “Turning out for a good day!” For her part, Kimberly shared a picture of her and Brian looking cozy at a baseball game.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Brian coyly answered a caller’s question regarding the status of his relationship with Kimberley. “Kim and I are very good friends,” he said, “And that’s all I’m gonna say about that.” Kimberley sweetly wished him good luck on her Instagram story.  To which he responded, “Thanks baybay.”

Kate Chastain, who later made an appearance, was also asked about Brian’s relationship. “I don’t know the current status,” she explained, “but I think they’re both very attractive people.”   While it certainly looks like Brian and Kimberley are in a relationship, it sounds as though they are not ready to go fully public with things.

TLC VP Reveals Why There Hasn’t Been A Same-Sex Couple On 90 Day Fiance Yet

TLC’s 90 Day Fiance is the gift that keeps on giving. Since the show premiered in 2014, viewers have been treated to unparalleled drama from cast members. When the show began, the couples seemed more genuine and a little more, shall we say, normal. Somewhere along the way, the show turned into a trash-fest of dysfunction, poor life-choices, naivete and shake your head stupidity. There are still some normal couples who pop up on the show. But, now it is often all about the crazy.

After watching Darcey Silva begging for an engagement ring, Angela Deem stomping around like Godzilla and  Paul Staehle running into the woods when stressed out, you might wonder if we have seen it all. Surprisingly, one thing we haven’t seen on the show is a same-sex couple. How has this not happened yet? Recently, a TLC executive explained the lack of same-sex couples on 90 Day Fiance and what TLC is doing to change this.

In an interview with E! News, Alon Orstein, senior vice president of production and development at TLC, shared some details on how the show is cast. When asked about a same-sex couple appearing on the show, Alon said that it was “absolutely a possibility,” and that it “almost certainly will happen.”

“At this moment, as far as the stuff that has aired, we just haven’t found the quite right couple,” Alon explained. He also revealed that there have been couples that were in contention to be cast, but dropped out along the way.

I guess it is not easy to find cast members who communicate through language apps, take hoe baths in airport restrooms, set up housekeeping in sheds and have dreams of totin’ babies in their golden years. Add in being in a same-sex relationship and casting probably gets even trickier.

Some couples decide not to do the show, which can throw a wrench into casting. Alon stated, “That could happen, or you could have an issue with timing or things like that. But it [same-sex couples] is something that we have been very keen to find and are continuing to actively pursue.”

So, what makes a good 90 Day Fiance couple? Alon explained, “I mean, there are so many different flavors, there is no perfect one. I think what we’re always looking for in every 90 Day Fiancé couple is first and foremost, they have to be transparent. They have to be willing to go there, to share their emotions, to talk about their feelings, to let us get beneath the surface. That’s the first and foremost.”

“We want to get to the authenticity of them as individuals and the relationship, and have that unvarnished view,” he went on to say. An unquenchable thirst for fame like Ashley Martson and an ability to throw one’s dignity in the dumpster like Jenny Slatten are probably added bonuses for choosing couples!

Alon went on to further demystify casting, stating, “We like to look across the spectrum. Diversity is very important to us, extremely important to us. We think one of the great assets of the series is that we have the opportunity to go into all these different countries, people from all different ethnic backgrounds, religious backgrounds, just life experience…It’s a cocktail more than it’s a perfect couple that makes a season.”

“And we really are thinking about the cocktail when we’re looking at casting,” Alon added. “Does this mix right? Do we have that right algorithm and alchemy that will be a really good flow throughout the season?”

When you think about it, casting must be a huge challenge. You have to have someone pursuing marriage with a foreign love interest. Then, they must be interesting enough to be on television. And both parties must agree to be filmed. The show is probably a logistical nightmare for production. Lucky for us, TLC’s casting and production are able to perform season after season, giving us a television spectacle unlike any other. Thanks, TLC!

Below Deck Star Captain Lee Rosbach Thinks Chef Kevin Dobson Was “Being A Dick” To Rhylee Gerber; Says Rhylee Behaved “Crudely” In Response

Below Deck fans could anticipate that Rhylee Gerber’s return would be fraught with peril for the rest of the crew.  Bosun Ashton Pienaar and Chief Stew Kate Chastain knew what to expect. However, everyone else was blind-sided by Rhylee’s aggression at the crew dinner.  Brian de Saint Pern can thank his lucky stars that he was able to sit that fiasco out, despite having to endure an infected knee and an antibiotic injection to the buttocks.

Captain Lee Rosbach had to respond to this violation of his, “don’t embarrass yourself, and don’t embarrass the boat” rule.  Rhylee and Chef Kevin Dobson initiated the meltdown by disagreeing over how involved a chef should be in ordering a Paleo appetizer for a fellow crew member.  One by one, Rhylee argued with each male crew member while Kate and Third Stew Courtney Skippon hid next to some potted plants.

Captain Lee addressed the dinner in his weekly blog.  He wrote, “so Kate asks Kevin to order some starters. Harmless enough. He does, and Rhylee sticks out her tongue and says “eww”. Or however you spell that. She then says can I get Paleo and Kevin says of course, what do you want, salad. We’re still good here. She defines it further and then he informs her there doesn’t happen to be a keto or paleo menu.”

Rhylee seemed to be ok until the point when Kevin started to banter withdeckhandd Tanner Sterback.  Of course, Kevin and Tanner may have a rapport since they’ve been working the season together. Perhaps they did have a laugh at her expense.  Rhylee decided to call them out on it.  Captain Lee still defended Rhylee at this point and suggested that Kevin could have helped her order something and not brush off the request.  He is a chef, after all.

Captain Lee wrote, “this is where the shit starts to hit the fan. As far as I’m concerned if you go to a restaurant, you should be able to get what you want if available. What’s the problem? Kevin and Tanner, I don’t get it, why poke fun because she wants something different. Uncalled for. Then Kevin says you annoy me like the rest of the crew. Really. Kevin obviously if you wanted Paleo would you have ordered it? After all you are in a restaurant that caters to the guest needs and wants. You know, the ones that pay the bill. I think you guys took it too far at this point. It was a simple request that you blew out of proportion.”

Ashton added fuel to the fire by stepping in, as Bosun, to try and diffuse an escalating situation involving one of his crew members.  Captain Lee thinks that Ashton came to the defense of the wrong person.  He said, “if she had said she wanted stuffed artichokes, would Kevin had made such a big deal about it. I think not. But you automatically do not defend who is right at this point in time, critical wording here, and go with the good old boy network. She didn’t have a full on go at one of your crew members here, Kevin is not even one of your crew, and yet you totally disregarded her point of view for just wanting something different.”

At this point in the episode, Rhylee had no one backing her up and starts to react towards Tanner as well.  Captain Lee called her reaction, “uncalled for and totally out of line.”  He also cannot defend her anymore.  Here are Captain Lee’s words to Rhylee, he wrote, “now you have crossed over the line. Just because chef was being a dik, doesn’t give you the license to behave crudely.”

Captain Lee continued, “Kevin, everyone calls you chef, including me. Why at this point keep stoking the fire. No need for sarcasm. Doesn’t help anything. All you had to do was politely ask what she preferred, but you copped an attitude. And Rhylee, you did not respond appropriately. You became obnoxious and more confrontational as it wore on. Now the two of you have embarrassed the rest of the crew, and the entire restaurant.”

Unfortunately for this crew, there is no Tyler Rowlandaround to quell Rhylee’s primal urges.  Perhaps production figured a sexually frustrated Rhylee makes for better TV.

Thomas Ravenel’s Friend Hit With Felony For Falsely Accusing Kathryn Dennis Of Burglary

The gift that keeps on giving.  Southern Charm’s former cast member Thomas Ravenel is no longer on the show, but has been creating lots of drama in real life.

Thomas and ex Kathryn Dennis could have had an entire show dedicated to the toxicity of their relationship. Yet, it’s not enough that the two of them were accusing the other of being a horrible person.  Now, one of Thomas’ friends is getting involved.

While together, Thomas and Kathryn, had a very volatile relationship.  They had kids, separated and a nasty custody battle began.  Both sides accused the other of being a horrible person. Thomas was charged with a sexual assault. He pleaded guilty to assault and paid a fine. Then he and Kathryn finally reached a custody agreement.  However, it does not appear as though all the drama is done.

Recently, we learned that one of Thomas’ friends Lara Dawson was arrested for filing a false police report against Kathryn.  According to Lara, she had witnessed Kathryn go from the front door, to the back and “take something with her.”  Lara also claimed, “the property had signs of forced entry..”

However, when the police arrived they stated there “appeared to be pre-existing damage to the framing on the lower part of the door.  The exposed wood looked aged and roughly in the same condition to the rest of the framing.”  Damn police officers and their need to investigate crimes. And collect evidence that supports those crimes having even been committed.

But wait. It got even better. Police learned Kathryn had been with her attorney during the time of the burglary.  So Lara, who was also a former roommate of Ashley Jacobs, was arrested. She was able to post her $1500 bond and was released the next day.

Now, according to an article from Yahoo,  The Blast has obtained court documents that show Lara has been hit with a felony charge of filing a false police report. If found guilty, she could face years in prison and a thousand dollar fine. I bet Lara has learned the hard way that crime doesn’t pay.
