This is not entirely unexpected. Real Housewives of New York is filming right now, minus one melodramatic humanitarian. Yes, viewers will need to find the strength to move on without Bethenny Frankel dominating every scene she is in.
You won’t find Luann de Lesseps crying in the corner over the loss of Bethenny. Especially after last season. Luann has often been the target of Bethenny’s multiple mood swings and vice versa. Fans will also be introduced to new ladies that will inevitably be reduced to showing audiences if they crack under pressure have the right stuff. Good luck, Leah McSweeney! Now Luann shares her thoughts on life without Bethenny. You can take off your sunglasses for this one, because it gets a little shady.
All of the Housewives franchises have that one OG who seems to live in their own bubble. Whether it’s NeNe Leakes, Vicki Gunvalson, or Andy Cohen’s favorite felon Teresa Giudice, certain ladies command everyone’s attention. For RHONY, it has long been Bethenny’s jam. Now that she has departed the series to save the world and make more money, Luann thinks other cast members will finally be able to speak have their time in the spotlight. According to Luann, no one seems too broken up about moving forward and plugging their own stuff without one of their strongest personalities.
Lu gave an interview for Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show and HollywoodLife has the details. “Bethenny is a lot of fun, she can be really nasty, but she’s very funny,” Luann explained. Yes, Beth was particularly hilarious when she slut-shamed the Countess in the Berkshires. Lu also shared, “And you know, those are the kind of people you get up for in the morning because they challenge you.” I love this point because it’s true. Kind of a backhanded compliment, but valid.
Luann then detailed the roller coaster relationship she shared with Bethenny. Lu said, “She’s not an easy person to manage and I just feel like that part I’ll kind of miss because it’s challenging.” Also true. The contentious vibe between Luann and Beth gave way to many storylines over the years. But it sounds like Lu wants to give it a go without the pressure of an armchair expert on the world criticizing her every move. And maybe the other ladies feel the same.
“Oh, I think the whole cast is relieved in a way,” Luann admitted. She continued, “I’ll miss her but at the same time when you’re around her it’s like walking on eggshells.” True. Beth has no problems sharing her wealth of knowledge on every topic. Whether it was bleeding fibroids or everyone but her being a drunk, Bethenny MENTIONED IT ALL.
Luann must not fear any repercussions, “And it also leaves breathing room for other women to shine and show their personalities. Because a lot was Bethenny coming in and trying to steal the show.” Did it just get very dark in here? Yes, that was blatantly shady. But does Lu have a point? Many would agree Beth would stroll in a la Alex McCord in her Herman Munster boots, stomping around until the attention was focused on her. Remember Miami? Luann had her own narcissistic moment swiped away at a dinner table.
Luann then threw it to Jenny, “I mean, how would you feel? You know her.” Jenny did not hesitate with her reply, “I would feel relieved as hell if I was a cast member!,” she quipped. “I don’t like living in those kind of environments. It’s unhealthy.” Yes, but unhealthy makes for good reality television, Jenny.
So it looks like we won’t see a lot of tears from the remaining ladies now that Beth is gone. Sonja Morgan can get plastered. Luann can continue trying to make cabaret a worldwide sensation. Dorinda Medley can take full credit for all Christmas decorations. And Tinsley Mortimer can date the wrong guy and FaceTime her embryos without shame. As an extra bonus, now they can all eat fish without anyone writhing on a bathroom floor!

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days definitely contained even more drama than the first tell all episode. The gloves come off when one person attacks several cast members. Insults are thrown, curse words are said, and hands are almost thrown. You will not be disappointed. There are plenty of fights, tears and reveals throughout the conclusion of the finale.
The cast sits down and gives an update on where their relationships stand now. Some of the biggest moments of the season are highlighted and each person gets a chance to explain their side. Let’s get straight into the recap!
Part 2 of the Tell All begins with Darcey Silva trying to pretend that her relationship with Tom Brooks is good. He, on the other hand, points out that she isn’t as supportive of him as he is of her. Recently they got in an argument and he found Darcey flirting with a random stranger. His sister, Emma, doesn’t miss the opportunity to point out they aren’t compatible, once again. Darcey’s sister, Stacey, comes out to give her point of view on the situation.
To make matters worse, footage is played from several of Darcey’s most desperate and insecure moments. Stacey thinks her sister is a little jealous and doesn’t want to celebrate her engagement. Darcey proves her point when she immediately becomes defensive.
Tom wonders if he would have proposed if they went on the romantic trip they originally planned. Tom is clearly manipulative and has sought out a damaged woman to boost his own ego. I don’t believe for one second that he intended to propose to Darcey. In fact, I am starting to think he only wanted to be on television and this sham of a relationship was his ticket. Clearly from the old photos he gave her and his swagger, he is trying to reclaim better days of his life. The only issue is that he is about 20 years and 60 pounds too late.
The conversation shifts to Darcey and Jesse Meester’s failed relationship. The cast in the green room are not feeling Jesse’s presence at all. Many of them refuse to even greet him when he arrives. Avery Mills and Timothy question why he would show up, knowing it could jeopardize her current relationship. Angela Deem goes bat shit crazy on everyone for “bullying” Jesse. She tells Avery “you are supposed to be a Muslim, I can’t tell right now.”
Umm… elder Angela who are you to tell someone they can’t state their opinion? You literally are growling yours at every opportunity. Jesse says he doesn’t want to talk to Darcey or Tom, so they are asked to go backstage. Why the hell is he even here? Avery becomes emotional because Jesse reminds her of an abusive relationship she was in. Meanwhile, Angela is smoking outside and ranting and raving to anyone who will listen.
When everyone arrives back on stage, Avery begins crying and attempts to explain why she questioned Jesse. Angela sets her sights on her and pounces on her. She keeps bringing up her 6 grand kids and Michael Ilesanmi and blames Avery for the entire incident backstage. Timothy states he is the one that attacked Jesse, not Avery. Rebecca can’t believe she is witnessing a yeti older woman attack someone so viciously. When Rebecca calls out Angela, there is a shift in the air and I know the Angelanator is about to come out.
Angela jumps up in Rebecca’s face at the speed of light cursing up a storm. Avery’s mother, Teri runs from backstage to stand up for her daughter. Angela has to be removed from the stage for her aggressive behavior. So, Michael, this is who you want to marry? Angela keeps shouting to Avery “you are a married woman, not a little girl.”
Angela must have caught Michael staring at Avery too long. I don’t know what else would explain why she is targeting her. Poor Benjamin looks terrified. PG-13 movies are probably too explicit for him. Darcey returns to the stage and thanks everyone for defending her, but wants everyone to calm down.
Jesse comes on stage and gives his side of the fiasco that happened with the rest of the cast. He has a very different story than Darcey about who has been contacting who. According to him, she has been stalking him until last month. So… TLC what the hell was the point of flying Jesse out to tell us what he is doing now? We don’t care about him! We only cared when he was terrorizing Darcey. Obviously, his presence was an attempt to make Darcey lose it.
Angela returns to the stage. Video footage is played showcasing her relationship with Michael. It proves that she is abusive more so than he is a liar. When her daughter Skylar is asked if throwing cake went too far, she responded “not for mama.” Angela basically acknowledges that she doesn’t want Michael to have a social life. Is this man your son or your fiancé? He is a grown up and she is telling him he needs to stay out of trouble. Chile, please! I would have dropped her like a bad habit, a LONG time ago.
There has to be a saner woman who will sponsor a visa for him. Michael confesses that having a family is extremely important to him, but he does love Angela. Who are we fooling? These two aren’t having a biological child together. Michael has an interview coming up about his visa, so he may be doing hard time with Angela very soon.
Next in the hot seat is Benjamin with Akinyi and her brother, Fidel, in tow. When Fidel is asked how Benjamin did in Kenya, he states “he was average.” Akinyi adds that he was timid and definitely not an alpha male. Sadly, Benjamin still doesn’t know the bride price for Akinyi. There is a clip shown of Benjamin going out for drinks with Fidel and his friends. That was nice to see that Benjamin wasn’t scared to death for his entire trip.
Timothy and Jeniffer’s relationship, or lack thereof, is highlighted next. All the women on stage are asked if they would accept a used ring. The answer is HELL NO! No woman wants to wear a ring intended for another woman. Jeniffer claims that Timothy likes it when she calls him a pu$$y. Ummm…WTF! If that is even remotely true I have even more questions about him. Timothy puts all the rumors to rest. He says he isn’t gay or transgender, despite popular opinion. Jeniffer and Timothy are still dating long distance and he hopes to show her his world in the U.S.
Rebecca waited to tell Zied about being with a woman to see if he was homophobic. What??? Chile, please! You didn’t tell him that along with the rest of your secrets because you know he wouldn’t have accepted you. Rebecca now believes that Zied wanted to protect her when he asked her not to wear sexy clothes. That’s funny because it seemed like she thought it was just about control and she wanted to push his buttons in Tunisia.
Rebecca’s private investigator partner, Melanie, confesses she still doubts their relationship. Given what Rebecca went through with her ex, no one in her life supports her relationship. Nonetheless, she still has hope and wants to be with Zied. Good luck, girl.
Caesar is the definition of a fool in love, or maybe just a fool. Everyone feels sorry for this poor gullible man and thinks Maria was taking advantage of him. Duh! How has he survived this long in life with this level of naivety at his age? Timothy questions why he can’t see that he was scammed.
Caesar seems more devastated that he didn’t get to use the chocolate panties and a whip on Maria than about the money he lost. Chile, the last thing I needed to imagine was Caesar with a whip in hand and chocolate dripping off his face. Ewww!
Well, well, well Maria actually showed up via video chat. After watching footage of all of the things Maria has said about Caesar, his only question is whether she is dating someone. Maria says she is single despite alluding to another man in the video. When Maria denies receiving $40,000 over the course of five years, Caesar says he won’t send any more money. After all of this, Caesar still wants to be with Maria and prove she is a good person.
Maria blames him for everyone thinking she is a scam artist. Any time Michael is attempting to talk sense into someone about their relationship, things are BAD. Sigh! This man is a lost cause. I don’t even care if she takes all of his money at this point.
All in all, we learned some key things during this reunion. But there wasn’t enough content for the 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days Tell All to be dragged out for 3 hours. The season could have been wrapped up easily in two hours. Do better TLC! But I have captured all of the juicy details, for your reading pleasure.

Oh sheesh, last night’s Below Deck was A. MESS. From charter guest Brandy, a literal sea sponge soaked in champagne and leeching everywhere, to Kevin Dobson‘s inability to count, to Abbi Murphy‘s drunken disarray… I don’t know what is in the water over in Thailand, but remind me never to drink it!
So Helen + ‘friends’ are on a beach picnic, slurping down cocktails and fish sandwhiches, taking selfies, and Brandy is so trashed she’s speaking in tongues and seeing apparitions in the pattern of her beach towels. Too bad she didn’t have an epiphany about the evils of gluttony, like Helen advised.
I have no idea what is going on with this girl, but she’s the drunkest guest I’ve ever experienced. Captain Lee Rosbach gets Brandy back to the boat and calls for medical attention. Courtney Skippon doesn’t like to touch anything icky or slimy or unappetizing, so naturally she gets put on Brandy-sitting duty until the doctor arrives! Every so often Courtney pokes Brandy with a broomstick to make sure she moves, then goes back to picking at her nails. OK let’s discuss that Thai doctor. Brandy tells him she’s been drinking champagne for 2 weeks straight so he prescribes juice, then deduces that the incoherent woman talking to her imaginary friend Jeff, is like totally fine.
Meanwhile Kevin prepares dinner. Theoretically. It would appear that provisions and towns don’t exist in Thailand, because even though Kevin ran out of fish for the seafood extravaganza, and was forced to comb through the freezers in the nether-regions of Valor, he STILL DIDN’T ORDER ANY ADDITIONAL food. Like, duuuuuude — ultimate hypocrite! Lecturing Kate Chastain on how service should be conducted, when you can’t even plan your own dinners?!
Also having difficulty with planning is Abbi. Oh this one… She can’t handle getting herself dressed because having three outfits, in three different colors, is so confusing, but she can remember to apply BODY BRONZER in the middle of tropical heat? Luckily Helen is currently there to rub her orange glow all over everything, but happens when new, spray-tanned guests arrive? We’re going to find stains ala Abbi on everything. Courtney is going to love cleaning those!
Courtney is growing on me, though. I kinda love her disenfranchised entitlement, like a Chica Barnfell’s parents lost her at sea and she woke up on a yacht that belonged to someone else, now has to work her way back to the United States and her pony. Or who knows maybe Courtney thinks getting a job will finally make her parents pay attention to her so she not longer has to eat lasagna as birthday cake.
In addition to Abbi’s wardrobe dysfunctions she cannot restrain her hair. I know it’s all fun to look like a Disney Princess, but it’s more than likely gonna go down like Rose on the Titanic, then Moana. Plus I’m pretty sure even Moana fashioned a clamshell into a barrette a time or two. Honestly as a fellow long-haired girl, I don’t know how Abbi can stand that sticky mass all over her neck. Furthermore it’s making Ashton Pienaar look bad because Captain Lee has to remind him to tell Abbi the rule. In fact Ashton’s entire team is making him look bad!
While he’s changing into his blacks, Brian de Saint Per is bringing up the slide and uses something called a “davit” – a small crane-like object that apparently cannot be bonked against an open umbrella lest it be rendered useless. Basically it’s a very expensive piece of equipment that must be handled with care while being expected to do heavy lifting. So, Courtney. Anyway, after breaking Brian goes straight to Captain Lee in a panic to confess, bypassing his direct superior Ashton. Captain Lee isn’t impressed, and warns Brian that people on his watch are allowed only one mistake. Otherwise they have to traverse over to Below Deck Mediterranean where Captain Sandy Yawn gives out free hugs with every fuck up.
Then Captain Lee calls Ashton onto the bridge to report Brian’s error. Ashton has no idea what Lee is talking about and is given a lecture about losing control of the pecking order. Peck, peck – Ashton, that’s failure knocking. In an effort to salvage the morale and organization of his crew, Ashton gives them a Captain Sandy-esque pep talk about how he’s always there for them.
Of course no one is going to crash and burn harder than Kevin. After his issue with Simone Mashile over breakfast service and Kate’s tattling, Captain Lee calls Kevin in for a talk. Kevin obviously does not understand how this works: he listens to Captain Lee give some cockamamie lecture filled with Dr. Phil of the High Seas metaphors about anacondas eating raccoon meat and vintage Cadillac coupe Deville’s having less rides than Dr. Lee’s patience, then one is expected to look down at the ground apologizing, with promises that Captain Lee will be replaced in their prayers as one’s personal Jesus. Instead, Kevin, who’s in the middle of dinner prep, rushes through explaining that he fixed things with Simone, and then blames the entire thing on Kate for being a crybaby.
HA! at Captain Lee getting a taste of his own medicine for once. Uh-oh for Kevin being too stupid to realize what a gaffe that was. So bad Kevin might as well hang himself out to dry from a broken davit that is suspended above a whirlpool or Helen’s open arms.
Oh, but it gets worse, becuase then Kevin accidentally EATS Captain Lee‘s portion of the main course! Brandy is out for dinner, down in the convalescent cabinet screaming “Champagne, Jeffery” to the soundproof walls, so Kevin has prepared dinner for 7, with NO EXTRA PORTIONS left. He scrounged through the freezer for some barebones, leftover fish, wrapped them in banana leaves, and the plops them on a carrot salad, and right as the stews are taking out these plates in an orderly fashion, Kevin samples that seventh portion, forgetting that Captain Lee is eating with the guests. Which obviously means Captain Lee is left sitting at the table munching a garnish while the guests slurp up reconstituted fish. Unimpressed doesn’t begin to describe it.
Kate is shocked. Actually Kate is gleeful. Nothing – absolutely nothing – more accidentally perfectly karmactic has ever happened in her life. But seriously, why wouldn’t Kevin quickly apologize, thenrun back to the galley and then whip up something extra for Captain Lee?!
But dinner isn’t over yet! Because Courtney is hating on Brian in a “mentionitis’ kind of way. Like Courtney keeps pointing out everything that’s wrong with him as a way to casually keep talking about him. We see you Courtney, mocking his instagram, and calling his ripped abs a “negative” because it means he spends too much time working out, not enough time kissing up to her. I am with her though on shirtless gym selfies – appalling.
Just as it seems that everything has calmed down there is a rustling, and a giant flapping mothra with gaping black holes for eyes and a screeching mouth, comes flying into the kitchen descending upon a panicked Courtney. Yes, Brandy has woken from the dead and the first words out of her mouth are “champagne.” SERIOUSLY!
Courtney immediately gets Kate. Brandy has no idea why everyone is in bed, as if she hasn’t been blackout drunk and passed out for 10 hours. While she sits in the main salon talking to her blank phone, Kate and Courtney conspire to make her a fauxmosa of OJ mixed with sparkling water. Brandy is too permanently brain damaged to notice, then flaps out into the night air to eat the wings off butterflies. That woman is terrifying, and needs a hair brush worse than Abbi does.
The next morning Kevin is full of fake cheer as he goes to the bridge to formally apologize to Captain Lee. Instead of eating humble pie, explaining that he’s struggling with ordering provisions, then offering to make it up to the Captain with a fantastic lunch, Kevin offers basically a lame excuse. Captain Lee won’t even turn around to look at him as he tersely reminds him that he better get his ass in gear. I find this incredibly petulant. I get it, Lee is trying to reminds Kevin that he’s the one in control, but this is an opportunity to forge a relationship in which he explains to Kevin just how unprofessional his conduct is and formally warn him. However if he wants to Tinder dating mindfuck Kevin, Lee succeeded, because Kevin walks away knowing something is very wrong.
A point that is reinforced when Helen hands Kevin a box of women’s panties with a fake pearl necklace and asks him to send her a photo of him wearing them. Courtney feels disgusted by proxy because Kevin is gross and smells like old fish, not fresh fish. You know, I don’t think Kevin is a bad guy. He even goes out to help the deck crew once his duties are done. He’s just a clueless, arrogant, asshole who doesn’t read people well. He’s Batman: a loner with the desire to help and serve, but without the utility belt, common sense, or working detectors.
Simone also feels frustrated. Every since her issue with Kevin, Kate has protected her by stuffing her into the laundry, and she’s only allowed one bathroom break per 2 hours. What Simone doesn’t get is that she’s a complete novice with service who can’t even make elementary cocktails and gets flustered with guests. Although Kate is thrilled Simone wants to learn, dealing with the guests does not seem intuitive, yet ironing does. Meanwhile Courtney thinks she is one of the guests so she has no problems swanning around, mixing cocktails, and conversing.
Helen and Richard tip generously, and Captain Lee is pleased with every aspect of this charter — taking special care to praise everyone – but Kevin. Yep, even Abbi got a high five for finally learning how to work t-shirts and do a ponytail after watching several YouTube tutorials.
There is a bright light though! Tanner Sterback has finally gotten up the gumption to ask Kate out on a ‘date’ or so he thinks. He proposes they meet, post-charter, to share a bottle of wine, and Kate accepted, thinking it was literally two colleagues with some sauce, until Courtney revealed that Tanner is considering this a date with his very own Mrs. Robinson. Suddenly Kate is very busy washing her hair!
That night literally everyone gets smashed. Except Courtney. Courtney can’t get drunk because how else would she manipulate the affections of every man on Valor? Ashton has suddenly decided he’s into Courtney, sheerly because someone else wants her and Courtney is so very NOT into him. She is slowly thawing to Brian, and after he swaps shirts with the bartender and spends the entire evening wearing a bright red child’s sailor shirt, she realizes he will likely forgo days on the treadmill if she demands it of him. Courtney is also not impressed with Ashton’s attempts at small talk which include asking her to name her biggest flaws. Obviously that’s a stupid question considering she doesn’t have any!
Tanner spends the entire night drunkenly attempting to formally ask Kate out, but she only likes men who grovel without the aiding of alcohol, so… she’s still washing her hair! Also Tanner is only tolerable if one is supremely drunk. Otherwise he’s a meathead with a mama’s boy complex whose primary hobby is partying. And since Tanner hasn’t written Kate a love poem to Cheeto-s yet, she’s keeping him very on the back burner.
After a terrible charter Kevin and Abbi get the most drunk. Abbi gets so wasted she can barely stand up, has no idea where she is, and falls on the dock getting back to the boat. Then after everyone goes to bed, she sytays up eating everything in sight while talking to herself about how much she loves meat. Um, meat overdose?
The next morning Abbi is so ill/hungover she can’t get out of bed and actually texts Ashton to say she can’t come to work the next morning. As if she has a job at Taco Bell, or something!
These people are a mess. I blame the Brandy Effect.
TELL US – SHOULD ABBY BE FIRED? IS CAPTAIN LEE BEING TOO HARD ON KEVIN OR DOES HE NEED TO BE KNOCKED DOWN TO SIZE? SHOULD KATE GIVE TANNER A CHANCE?

We have made it through the first season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Like other shows in the franchise, this version lured me in and got me hooked. I might not have learned anything and my IQ might be 10 points lower for having watched, but boy it was fun. Quality television that delivers!
Out of all the couples on the show, Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee were arguably the most likeable and relatable. Sure, they made some bad decisions, like getting pregnant immediately after meeting, but both seemed to have their hearts, if not their decision-making skills in the right place. One thing I could not figure out during the season was why Deavan was moving to South Korea when she had a job and family in the U.S., while Jihoon was struggling to get by. Deavan recently revealed how she came to the decision to move and her purported reasons behind it are both sad and shocking.
In Touch Weekly reports that Deavan recently made some surprising revelations about why she moved to South Korea on her Instagram. She began by stating, “I noticed that the show never showed the reason why I moved. I was waiting for the tell all, but they never showed it.” Which makes sense as much of the tell-all was focused on the drama of Laura Jallali and Aladin Jallali and their disastrous marriage.
So, what wasn’t revealed at the tell-all? Deavan went on to explain, “A lot of people are wondering. Jihoon can realistically move to America at anytime. But we decided to move to Korea so I could be a stay at home mom and raise the children. This wasn’t an option in America until Jihoon could learn English. As well, I was in danger.”
Danger? Why did we never hear about this on the show? TLC usually embraces controversy–I am surprised this was kept under wraps!
Deavan went on to allege in the original Instagram post shared by In Touch Weekly, “And America became a very unsafe place for me due to a family member. This family member tried to kidnap me and steal my car while I was pregnant. This action is what made us fully decide to move to Korea.”
OK–this is all sounding very ID Channel to me. And frightening if the accusations are true. Deavan further claimed, “My family member is a dangerous person. So I’ll be in Korea for a long time. Because for some reason they keep letting her out of jail.”
Wow! Most of us have at least one or two problematic relatives–maybe they drink too much at holiday parties, bore us with their stories or always try to borrow money. But kidnapping and auto theft? It all sounds terrifying, especially for a mother of two young children.
Deavan did not offer up any more details about the situation, which is certainly her right. It sounds like she is making difficult, but good decisions for her family’s safety. In just a short period of time, Deavan has been engaged and married, gave birth after a complicated pregnancy, moved to a new country and had a miscarriage. I cannot even imagine how stressful her life has been, but wish for calmer days ahead for her and her family.
