Former Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Cheryl Burke is opening up about being snubbed. News of Len Goodman’s passing sent shockwaves down the entertainment industry. It all felt so sudden. Len passed shortly after he retired from Dancing with the Stars. In April, at age 78, Len died of cancer surrounded by his loving family.
As DWTS Season 32 was in the works, Alfonso Ribeiro teased that the show was planning a tribute to Len. On the most recent episode, he and Julianne Hough confirmed that next week’s episode would include a tribute featuring several former pros.
However, Cheryl Burke was not among the pros listed, despite her multiple wins and long tenure on the show. Things have been tense between Cheryl and the show for a while now. The retired pro has not shied away from criticism. Now, perhaps ABC has retaliated.
Why isn’t Cheryl Burke returning for Len’s Dancing with the Stars tribute?
Cheryl took to Threads to answer fans asking if she’d be at Len’s tribute. She wrote, “For those of you asking if I’ll be a part of Len Goodman’s tribute next week on DWTS, unfortunately, I wasn’t invited.” She added, “However, I’ll be there in spirit and can’t wait to cheer my former colleagues on! Sending love and light to everyone. [heart emoji, pray emoji] #riplen.”
Cheryl’s replies were filled with fans who were all together in disbelief at her exclusion. As one user wrote, “Wow that’s wrong if them to not include you I feel like you were a major part of the show and should have been able to be part of it even if not in person.” Multiple users tagged Dancing with the Stars’ page.
The exclusion does make a person wonder exactly what Cheryl did to have her ties from the show cut so bluntly. Of course, this is hardly the first time DWTS Season 32 has drawn criticism from fans. As one of Cheryl’s replies read: “The powers that be of that show really aren’t known for making good decisions.”
Dancing with the Stars continues Tuesday nights on ABC and Disney+.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK DANCING WITH THE STARS HAS A VENDETTA AGAINST CHERYL BURKE? IF SO, WHY?
Lala Kent has been opening up about her ex-boyfriend. She hasn’t always had the best luck when it comes to relationships. But that might just be par for the course when it comes to Vanderpump Rules stars.
Fans know that things did not end well with Randall Emmett. There was no other way things could’ve gone after all of the allegations against him started piling up. So, Lala was wise to walk away.
Perhaps rather expectedly, Randall soured Lala on the idea of partnership quite a bit. Recently, Lala stated that she wanted to create a family without a man involved. Recently, though, it would seem she’s been reflecting on romance.
Lala Kent talks ex-boyfriend, past and present flames
On the October 18 episode of her podcast, Lala discussed a past relationship. She said, “Right off the bat, if you asked me, like, do you think of one person where it’s like the one that got away, like if timing could have been different. And I could think of mine just like that. Where, like, I would drop the world in two seconds to, like, make that happen again.”
But Lala stipulated, “I’m not going to tell you who,” leaving everyone to question just who she was talking about. She also noted the relationship itself “wasn’t great.” She explained, “It was just the person. And it was, like, timing. Like, I knew you weren’t a bad dude, it was just, like, the timing was so off.”
However, Lala teased that she may have a new flame in her life. She revealed that she asked a professional driver if he was single. He said he wasn’t in a relationship. Lala also revealed this driver gave Katie Maloney a ride home after a VPR photoshoot. Lala asked Katie to pass her info along. “So she does. Gets his. He sends me a message and I have yet to respond.”
Joe Giudice and Luis Ruelas share one thing in common. They’ve both been wed – or, in Luis’ case, is, currently married – to Teresa Giudice. Ever since Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13’s conclusion, many have determined that Luis Ruelas is poison to anyone who associates with him. The feud between the Gorga family and the Giudice family was exacerbated in large thanks to Luis.
On top of that, RHONJ stars and fans alike have pointed out just how shady Luis seems in his business dealings. All that bad publicity toward Luis inevitably reflects on Teresa as well.
So, amid all the conflict that played out in Season 13 (and might continue amid Season 14’s filming), one may wonder what Joe Giudice thinks of it all. As the father of his children, one might believe Joe would raise concerns about Luis. But apparently not.
Joe says Luis has “been nice” to him
Bravo recently put together a compilation of quotes and other evidence revealing that Joe and Luis are in each other’s good graces. For example, on October 19, Joe posted a picture to Instagram alongside his daughter, Gia Giudice. Among those who liked the post was Luis Ruelas.
Speaking of the daughters, Milania Giudice made it clear that Joe is, at the very least, okay with Louie’s status as stepfather to his children. On her mother’s podcast, Milania said, “Louie is such a great stepdad. He really is. He’s an amazing stepdad. Come on, you guys know [my dad]. He’s Juicy Joe. You think he’s going to let anybody around his girls who he doesn’t like? No.”
Joe also said in an interview, “I mean, [Luis has] been nice to me. He’s called me, he’s been a man … Even when he went as far as coming out here before they got married. He came out to let me know that he wanted to get married and everything, and he wanted, you know, I guess, my blessings. And I thought that was very nice.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return to Bravo in mid-2024.
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK JOE GIUDICE AND LUIS RUELAS’ RELATIONSHIP INDICATES ABOUT THE FAMILY?
Settle in for our Real Housewives of New York Season 14 reunion, Part 1 recap! As the cast of The Real Housewives of New York gathers to get ready for the reunion, Ubah Hassan is noticeably absent. Apparently, she’s getting ready at her own apartment and will arrive fully glammed.
Even though she’s remaining separate, she did send a group text ahead of time. “I’d like to kindly request that you refrain from intervening during my conversation with Kerin tomorrow,” it reads. Who is Kerin? Is she calling Erin Lichy a “Karen?” If the shoe fits … it had better be a Louboutin.
Erin texts back, “I will not be slandered by you. I have done NOTHING to you.” Except maybe stir the pot on multiple occasions.
Once she arrives at the studio, host Andy Cohen visits Ubah in her dressing room. When he asks how she’s feeling, she answers, “Very hurt.”
“My teammates did not stand up for me,” she explains. “Erin lied and gaslighted me.”
“Well, the goal of today,” he tells her, “is to talk about it all. And then, hopefully, come to a better place.”
“It’s not gonna turn into Fight Club is it?” Brynn Whitfield wants to know. Welcome to Part 1 of the RHONY Reunion, bitches!
Erin doesn’t own her sh*t
When the subject of Erin’s anniversary party comes up, Sai De Silva is still complaining that there was “no food.”
Andy has viewer questions for the cast. “Noah on Twitter said, ‘Why is Erin not serving food? Why does she continue to serve appetizers to hungry people?'” Andy wants Erin to defend her hostessing ability.
“Oh, my God,” she moans. “I host all the time. We are Jewish. We center everything around food … My anniversary party was more of a cocktail vibe.” But Andy points out that if the invitation says 7:00 to 9:00, most people would assume dinner would be served.
Jessel Taank’s husband Pavit Randhawa wrote on Instagram, “I was starving! Erin needs to consult me for the next one!” He added a snap of two slices of bread, alongside some tomato, lettuce and cheese. Is that supposed to be a sandwich?! That’s just pathetic.
“He’s like the seventh Housewife!” Brynn laughs.
Andy reads another question for Erin from Sandra in Montecito, California. “How has watching the show changed your view of the friendship [with Sai]?”
“Honestly, I have no idea what happened to her,” Erin answers. “Something, like, switched.”
“Me?” Sai responds. “Something happened to me? You lie. And you don’t own your sh*t.” Okay then. Tell us how you really feel, Sai.
Is Erin “direct” or just rude?
Continuing with Erin, Andy says, “On the show, you said you’re direct and cannot be fake. But some of the women have called you out for being rude. What’s the difference between being direct and being rude?”
“I think sometimes I can come off a little rude,” Erin admits. “Maybe that’s something I should work on,” which causes Brynn to snort-laugh through her nose.
“I don’t think Erin’s rude,” Ubah interjects. “She’s polite, she’s elegant, she’s nice. But I think she’s a sh*t-stirrer.” Erin agrees.
But Ubah adds, “And she gaslights.” Sai seconds this.
Jenna’s body image issues
When the ladies went to Anguilla for the girls’ trip, Jenna Lyons flew a day early in order to get some sun. She has a genetic condition that makes her skin very blotchy. Getting a little sun helps. Sh*t-stirrer Erin, however, planted the idea in the other women’s minds that Jenna flew early just so she could fly first class.
Andy reads a question from another viewer. “Erin, what was your reaction [to] finding out how insecure Jenna is about her body?”
“Even when we went to Anguilla,” Erin responds, “I don’t think any of us realized … [But] watching it and seeing how much you opened up in the confessionals, I didn’t realize it was to that level.”
“I feel bad about that,” Erin tells Jenna. “I’m sorry I said that … I am sorry.”
“What you guys don’t know,” Jenna adds, “is that when I saw it, I reached out to Erin and said, ‘That actually felt sh*tty … That didn’t feel good.'”
Sai also jumps on the apology train. “Watching back, I apologize. I think we were very hard on her,” she admits.
Jessel upset about her marriage being discussed
Eventually, Andy asks Jessel how she feels about the group talking about her private life.
“I’m kind of speechless, honestly,” Jessel says. “You guys talked about my marriage in such a f*cking disgusting way … You insinuated my husband was cheating on me.”
“I did not insinuate that,” Erin lies. Thank you, Bravo Production, for producing footage that clearly shows Erin insinuating just that.
Jessel then asks, “Do you watch [the show] with a f*cking blindfold over your face?” Jessel also mentions Erin bringing up that Pavit doesn’t wear a wedding ring, which Brynn confirms. Lots of men don’t wear rings. Wearing a ring doesn’t determine someone’s faithfulness.
When Jessel told Sai that she and Pavit had “done the deed” on their staycation, Sai said she didn’t believe they actually had sex. Andy asks Sai, “Do you still think she was lying?”
“You know what? It’s none of my business,” Sai finally admits. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t comment on anyone’s marriage but my own … It just doesn’t look like you have a connection.”
Was that another dig wrapped in an apology? Come on, Sai.
“No one deserves to comment on my marriage,” Jessel concludes, becoming emotional. “Also, I was talking about postpartum … When you have four years of IVF, it’s okay to have these struggles. It’s normal … You implied that my husband was cheating on me because I’m not having sex with him.”
Though Erin and Sai both emphatically deny they ever did any such thing, we all know they did.
That’s a wrap for the Real Housewives of New York Season 14 reunion, Part 1 recap!
