Exclusive Interviews With The Survivor: HHH Contestants Voted Out of Episodes 10 and 11 – Spoilers!

Exclusive Interviews With The Survivor: HHH Contestants Voted Out of Episodes 10 and 11 – Spoilers!

It was double the fun this week on Survivor, where we got to see not one but two Tribal Councils over the course of the two-hour episode. There was some great drama, some “epic” blindsides and now we are just left with seven players left this season, with just two more episodes leading up to the two-hour Finale Episode on December 20th.

Caution, as spoilers from this week’s episodes are to follow! Turn back now! If you want to get caught up, be sure to check out the Episode 10 and 11 Recap here.

CLICK THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON FOR MORE, AND THIS IS YOUR LAST *SPOILER* WARNING!

Exclusive Interviews With The Survivor: HHH Contestants Voted Out of Episodes 10 and 11 – Spoilers!

First out the door this week was the hero John “JP” Hilsabeck, a 28-year-old firefighter from Los Angeles. He definitely lived up to the label of “hero,” but his was a quiet edit. We knew that he was a stand-up guy and that he was closely aligned with Chrissy, but other than that, JP didn’t really get much air-time even all the way through his final episode. He was the first casualty of the “majority seven” alliance cracking and became the third member of the jury.  A Note on JP: CBS notified press members that JP had very limited availability so instead of the normal podcast interview with him, we all were able to just submit three questions to him via email. Because of this, JP will obviously not appear on the podcast, and although I have sent in my three questions for him, I haven’t yet received a response…once I do, I will definitely include in an upcoming post.

Exclusive Interviews With The Survivor: HHH Contestants Voted Out of Episodes 10 and 11 – Spoilers!

With JP gone and the majority seven alliance officially fractured, season-long villain and thorn in the side of pretty much every other player, Joe Mena, finally had his ticket punched last night as well. Joe was immediately one of the “players to watch” this season and drew early comparisons to Survivor legends Russell Hantz and Tony Vlachos. Joe was not shy about the fact that he was there to play the game aggressively, and it was this assertiveness that led him to find two hidden Idols along the way. The first he used brilliantly, but the second Idol went to waste when his opponents targeted an unsuspecting Jessica, who was in Joe’s Healer alliance. From there, Joe really was able to slide by Tribal after Tribal, until his torch was finally snuffed. He almost made it through again when Ashley and others contemplated blindsiding Ben, but they must have figured it was in their best interest to get Joe out now.

Oh yeah, please let me know you are following the Ponderosa Videos!  Here are quick links from this week in case you have trouble finding them on CBS‘s site:

Ponderosa Videos:

Unlike JP, I had the chance to speak to Joe – one half of the “Coconuts” alliance – on the FilmSurvivor Podcast (the full audio of which you can find and download at the bottom of this article), and as you could imagine, it was a spirited and colorful conversation. Here were some highlights:

JOE INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS:

On surviving so many Tribal Councils and his feelings on last night’s Tribal:

Joe Mena: Every Tribal I felt like I was going home. I think the only Tribal that I felt secure at was the first vote-out and Cole’s vote-out. I knew Cole was going home, I knew I wasn’t going home that night of the merge vote. This one was no different, I felt like it was 80/20, 80 me going home and 20 if I stay. And I felt like if I stayed I would have won the game. The package deal that they presented was an amazing package deal, and if I didn’t know what it included I may have done something else. I didn’t know that Ben was a spy, I didn’t know that the three would allow him to be a spy. I mean that’s probably the dumbest move I’ve seen. But then again it kind of goes into the theme of the season, which is like, who is going to make the dumbest move this season? And I think that this was probably at the top of the list. But kudos to them, they definitely had Ben playing both sides, they gave me the package deal of the advantage being used, the Idol being flushed and Ben going home. I couldn’t give that up. They definitely sold me and I went for it.

Exclusive Interviews With The Survivor: HHH Contestants Voted Out of Episodes 10 and 11 – Spoilers!

On his relationship with Dr. Mike:

Joe: I knew pre-game that [Mike] was a strategic player. Once we got to the island, he was looking for the Idol. So I don’t want to have anyone around me who is working just as hard as me, or even harder. So I identified him as a player and I just wanted to put a target on his back. And then as the game continued, I started realizing that Mike was a flip-flopper and I’m like, eh, do I really want to work with a flip-flopper? But I do like Mike. He’s genuinely an amazing individual, we’re still friends to this day.

Vanderpump Rules Stars Scheana Marie, Lala Kent and Ariana Madix Strip Down For PETA

Vanderpump Rules Stars Scheana Marie, Lala Kent and Ariana Madix Strip Down For PETA

Reality stars have a long history of helping PETA to make a statement. Everyone from Joanna Krupa, Courtney Stodden, Bethenny Frankel and more have stripped down for the cause. The latest celebrities to do join forces with PETA: Vanderpump Rules stars Scheana Marie, Lala Kent and Ariana Madix, who are showing their support for the latest campaign to help the orcas at SeaWorld.

See what they had to say about the mission below!

Ariana Madix shared, “Today we’re here with PETA shooting a campaign to release the orcas to seaside sanctuaries from SeaWorld.” She adds, “There’s a better way to do this, and we know the better way.” She continues, “Orcas are very social animals, they are very intelligent animals. Each pod has their own language, so you have all these orcas from different pods in this bathtub and they are fighting with each other because they have no way of communicating. They’re confused and they’re full of anguish and it shouldn’t be that way. There’s a better way to do this and we’ve known a better way, so why not do it?”

Lala has been very vocal on social media since she saw the documentary “Blackfish” and shares in a new video, “When I saw the documentary Blackfish, it literally changed my entire life. I found my passion and I found my voice and I will not stop until any place like SeaWorld is completely shut down.” She hopes parents will educate their kids that SeaWorld is not a fun place to be as they are “torturing animals”. She hopes people will join her in this quest to be a voice for the orcas.

“Orcas have died at SeaWorld, and the fact that none of them died from old age is just insane,” says Scheana. “Release the orcas into seaside sanctuaries so they can be in their normal habitat and not confined to small tanks.

From the press release:
Los Angeles — Just days before the new season premiere and wearing little more than bodypaint to resemble orcas, Vanderpump Rules stars Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, and Scheana Shay stand shoulder to shoulder in a brand-new PETA campaign proclaiming, “Come Together to Free the Orcas From SeaWorld.” The eye-popping ad urges everyone to put up a united front against the abusement park until the orcas held there are released into seaside sanctuaries.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment”—notes that in the wild, orcas form complex relationships, work cooperatively to find food, and traverse up to 140 miles in the ocean every day. But orcas at SeaWorld are housed in incompatible groups inside tiny tanks, and some have even been given the drug diazepam to manage their stress-induced aggressive behavior. So far, 41 orcas have died on SeaWorld’s watch, and six marine mammals have died at its parks this year alone.

Check out their video below:

Danielle Staub Says Caroline Manzo Saw Her Friendship With Teresa Giudice “Coming All Along”

Danielle Staub Says Caroline Manzo Saw Her Friendship With Teresa Giudice “Coming All Along”

Even though Danielle Staub is all about maintaining the namaste with former sparring partner Teresa Giudice, she still has it out for her old enemies Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo, and Kim Granatell. It’s safe to say that she will not be doing yoga with those three women at any time soon.

Danielle made that very clear when she threw shade (and even some direct insults) at Jacqueline, Caroline, and Kim on Watch What Happens Live last night. Believe it or not, she just kept it old school with her beef and there was not one Dolores Catania dig the entire episode. She’s probably saving those up for the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion taping.

When Teresa stormed out of Siggy Flicker’s Boca home earlier in the season she told her “the crab cakes were salty anyway” which Siggy was pretty offended by. On Watch What Happens Live, Danielle continued having the same opinions as Teresa  confirmed that they were “so salty.” A moment later she tried to soften the blow when she added, “But I love salt.” That’s for sure since she is still pretty salty when it comes to most of her former RHONJ foes.

Before she jumped into talking shit and throwing shade, Danielle said that it was Andy Cohen’s idea for her to come back to the show and he mouthed “no it wasn’t” while looking visibly uncomfortable. Hopefully Danielle doesn’t watch this episode back because that moment was pretty awkward.

When she was asked if Teresa apologized to her daughters yet, Danielle’s answer didn’t make the most sense: “We’ll have to wait and see because literally like that’s what we’re waiting for to happen.” We all saw Teresa sitting with Danielle and her daughter and Christine in the preview of what’s to come for the rest of the season. Maybe Danielle was just trying her best not spoil a future episode, but the wording was just a little odd. No, I didn’t mistype that one.

Danielle continued, “It is important because of what we went through as a family. I think my kids need to come full circle and see who Teresa is today, not what she was or what she was doing earlier.” Alright then.

While discussing Danielle’s infamous duet “Real Close” with Lori Michaels, Andy asked Danielle, “Do you consider yourself bisexual?” She admitted, “I will always be, yes. Am I interested in going that way? No. I mean, I’m in love with my Marty [Caffrey]. He’s my man.” He is the TWENTIETH man Danielle has been engaged to. I would love to know what she’s doing to get proposed to that many times. I am truly amazed- no shade intended.

One person who is intending to throw shade and then some is Kim G who has been tweeting up a storm about Danielle ever since her return to Real Housewives of New Jersey was announced. Danielle remarked, “I just think she really needs to go into that retirement home already. I mean, give it up.”

Andy attempted to clarify an infamous moment in RHONJ history when he asked, “Was it you who called her square tits or she who called you square tits?” Danielle said, “Actually that was Ashlee [Holmes] who called me because I had a problem with my implants. Thank you so much, Ashlee. That was special of you. Sweet. Your mother raised you well.” And there’s the Jacqueline Laurita shade. Andy pushed, “It wasn’t Kim G who called you that?” Danielle insisted, “She reiterated it quite a few times.” This is really just a matter of semantics, but Danielle couldn’t resist throwing Jacqueline and Ashlee into the mix.

A caller wanted to know if Danielle believed the rumors about Teresa getting cozy with another man. Danielle declared, “Absolutely not. She’s getting cozy with all the ladies on Housewives and her daughters.” She’s always traveling to promote her book, doing personal appearances, and supporting her daughters at their activities. Does Teresa even have the time to have an affair?

Another viewer asked, “Do you think you were stirring the pot asking Margaret [Josephs] about Siggy’s apology and telling her to keep her guard up? Why wouldn’t you just stay out of it instead of planting negative thoughts?” Danielle answered, “I wasn’t planting negative thoughts. I was being a good friend. That’s what we’re doing. We’re living in a world where we have to be honest with our friends and tell them when something is coming is coming at them. When I’m going to have a friend, I’m going to do that for them. Period.” It was probably more of a killing two birds with one stone scenario: she got to be a good friend to Margaret and stir up the pot for the sake of the show.

Danielle was not having it when Andy mentioned the book A Cop Without A Badge which put Danielle at the center of the drama during Season 1. She said, “It’s irrelevant, thank you.”

Speaking of Season 1, a fan asked, “What do you think Caroline Manzo thinks of your friendship with Teresa?” Danielle theorized, “I think she saw this coming all along. It’s what she was not wanting to happen. So, she’s pretty upset. Merry Christmas, Caroline.” That seems like a total stretch. I doubt that Caroline even cares about anything RHONJ-related now that none of her family members are on the show.

Captain Lee Has Some Choice Words For His Valor Crew On Below Deck; Praises Kate Chastain

captain Lee

It’s time for Captain Lee‘s weekly crew member comments! The Valor captain breaks down each person’s performance on this week‘s Below Deck charter and, as always, he mixes sincere critique with some blunt advice.

On Jen‘s ridiculous antics, “You may not be the worst drunk person I’ve ever observed, but you are in the top 5 no doubt. You have a mean streak that really jumps out after a couple of pops. Kate was totally correct – had I witnessed your behavior, last charter or not, you would have been walking down the dock.”

He continued, “your ‘after the fact’ apologies are just sorry ass excuses for bad behavior that you simply cannot rationalize at all. And enough with the eye roll. You are in no position to be doing that sort of thing, period.” He hopes she drops the crap and says he’s disappointed because he initially had high hopes for her.

Captain Lee is disappointed in Nico, but also relieved that he’s taking some amount of responsibility, “it is refreshing to see you taking some responsibility for your actions for a change. Some of the potential I know is in there just may start to surface.” He has a little relationship advice for Nico. “You state that you don’t want to just jump from one relationship to another, but you do with little or no regard for the people that you affect around you. For your sake, I hope you get that straight in your mind. It will make your life a lot easier to deal with.”

Lee is not holding back when it comes to Kyle. He blogged, “sometimes you just amaze me. When I think I’ve seen it all, you come along and top everything.” He blasts him for his overreactions, “You’re so upset with Jen over a little thing at dinner. But you still want to have an exchange of bodily fluids with her? Couldn’t you have just overlooked that, instead of ruining dinner for everyone? No, I suppose not. And then, when Jen called Baker a whore, you get all up in arms, right when you’re just about to let Jen have the privilege of sleeping with you. Then you say you still would, but just because it’s there. Well aren’t we just full of ourselves? Personally, I think you would hump a rock pile if you thought there was a possibility of a snake being in there.”

He’s impressed with Matt and Baker. “Matt, you pulled out all the stops and really hit a home run so far on this charter.” And “Baker, you are such a stud. You had another strong performance this week, as usual.”

His word for Bruno: Hands Off! “you need to realize that, one, that whole conversation with Jen should have been left alone, and two, you never ever put your hands on another crew member, unless they want you to.”

His highest praise this episode are reserved for Kate and Bri. “Kate, well done with everyone this week. You were correct, had I witnessed Jen’s behavior, I would have fired her and you would’ve been short handed with Mr. Sykes coming on board.”

As for Bri, he thinks her promotion is well-deserved and explains himself on disciplinary talks. “Bri, congrats on your promotion. I felt you deserved it as well. You have really blossomed this season. One thing I noticed was when you were talking with Nico about the meeting with Jen and Kate, you said you felt you were put in the middle. Not sure I agree with that. I always bring another person in when I am disciplining someone so that I have a witness as to what transpired so nothing can come back and turn into a conundrum as so frequently happens.”

Kim Zolciak-Biermann Explains Why She Doesn’t Like Kenya Moore; Still Thinks Her Marriage Is A Sham

Kim Zolciak-Biermann Explains Why She Doesn't Like Kenya Moore; Thinks Her Marriage Is A Sham

Kim starts an argument with Kenya

And so it begins. The feud between Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kenya Moore is officially off to the races! The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast mates have no love for one another, to be sure, and in her blog this week Kim explains her specific reasons for detesting Kenya. She also claims that being an “OG” of the show gives her a different perspective than most, and being back in the drama “felt like 2007 all over again.”

Clearing up matters on when she met Sheree Whitfield, Kim says, “I met Shereé 14 or 15 years ago through NeNe. NeNe and I went out for the night and ran into Shereé, and the rest is history — we’ve been friends since.” This stands in contrast to NeNe Leakes’ statement that Kim and Sheree only met during season one of filming RHOA. And speaking of feuds – check out NeNe and Kim’s twitter wars on this subject (and more) if you really want to roll around in the mud!

Despite not having seen most of the ladies since last year, Kim says she wasn’t nervous walking into NeNe’s party – red solo cup in hand! “I have 6 kids, and 3 of them are boys. It takes a little bit more than a white party with old friends in my old neighborhood (I lived there 14 years ago) to make me nervous. I’ve been through a lot of growing since the last time I was around these ladies, and I was more so just ready. Ready for the fun, the laughs, the drama, whatever. I’m aware of my surroundings more than ever, and my intuition keeps me far from nervous.”

Next, Kim explains why she thinks the “OGs” are different from the newer Housewives, and why she was pissed off at Kenya straight outta the gate. “We OGs were just different compared to the ladies now; we knew our lane, and we stayed in it. I did not have an attitude at all when going to NeNe’s home, aside from having an attitude with Kenya and only Kenya! Kenya came for me, my husband, etc. at Shereé’s housewarming party last year, and I was in shock. I didn’t know her, I hadn’t spoken to her in years, and the things she said didn’t sit well with me. This was the first time I had seen her since, and yes, the looks and the rolling of the eyes by the end of the night irritated me!”

RELATED: RHOA’s Kenya Moore Has Some Scathing Things To Say About Kim Zolciak

Despite NeNe’s house being un-airconditioned on a 103-degree day (!!!), the ladies pretended to cool off indoors – but the tea was piping hot! Kim explains in her blog, “Not much was going through my mind when Kenya was talking because she’s super ignorant, and I don’t process ignorance well. But when she started speaking about Brielle, Chrissy, John Legend, and ‘pimping my daughter,’ I heard the bitch loud and clear. I just saw red.”

Things heated up quickly when Marlo Hampton brought up Kenya’s marriage. “In all honesty, I assumed Kenya and I wouldn’t have any type of interaction that night, but when Marlo said the “congratulations on your marriage” bulls—, I couldn’t deal. I can admit that I don’t hold my tongue well these days, and I also just don’t like Kenya. I have no problem being the girl who says what everyone WON’T say — I’m just the girl to say it to you. So I did, and things went left.”

Kim defends, “Speaking about my children is OFF LIMITS. I also felt that her commenting ‘Why do you have such a hard on for me? Didn’t you get that cut off during your reassignment surgery?’ was extremely inappropriate and offensive to the trans community, in my opinion.”

Well, we already know that Kim and Kenya’s battling ends up in both of them not going on the RHOA cast trip this season, so it looks like this petty nonsense is just heating up. Ooh boy. There’s gonna be FIRE! (And maybe a firing?)

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

She’s managed to behave herself for long enough – now it’s time for Teresa Giudice to start breaking sh*t in restaurants again! This week on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey, Tre goes bananas when she hears Kim DePaola is spreading rumors about her rumored side piece. But her real issue is with Dolores Catania, who she claims didn’t defend her against the three-headed snake that is Kim D. While Siggy Flicker and Melissa Gorga come to a better place after a “healing” exercise about cake -(yesss! please let this be the frigging cake’s final gasp!) – Danielle Staub silently plans her next move against Dolores. As for Margaret Josephs? Well, she just continues to be kind of awesome.

We begin at Siggy’s hellish retreat, where she’s mimicking Margaret in a far inferior sketch than Marge just pulled off. No one is impressed. Furthermore, no one understands how this lame game is supposed to bring them closer together. Essentially, it’s like we’ve all died and gone to corporate retreat team building hell. But anyway, here we are. At least Siggy and Margaret get over the exercise fairly quickly, returning amicably to their spot on the wall of shame. But not so fast for Siggy! Get back in the ring, woman!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

Melissa is next up for the dreaded role play game. She decides to show Siggy how she looked at her party while humiliating Melissa about the cake (in front of her befuddled guests). Following Margaret’s lead, Melissa does a fair impression of Siggy, Interrupted – but this time, Siggy doesn’t look so horrified. After being broken in with Marge’s rendition, she’s grown used to seeing this her ridiculous self on display!

Finally, Melissa falls to the ground in a Siggy-inspired temper tantrum, legs kicking, arms pounding the ground in a cake-fit. Siggy actually laughs, seeing how messed up she’s been acting lately. Or, let’s hope so! Maybe the pellets are working, maybe this retreat has made her feel important again – but whatever it is, Siggy is even subdued and mildly apologetic while everyone laughs their a$$es off at this mess.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

In a surprising twist, Danielle calls Teresa into the ring next. And I am having flashes of Highlander in this gravel pit – like, beheadings and all! But instead, we just get Danielle in tears telling Tre how much her daughters were hurt by the famous “PROSTITUTION WH*RE!!!” table-flipping incident. To be fair, in that moment Danielle’s entire life was distilled down into a Housewives meme, which kind of sucks. But come on! It also made her famous.

Now, Danielle wants Teresa to apologize to her kids. So Tre agrees she will – especially if it keeps Danielle close, who works better as a fake friend than an authentic enemy.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

At the kiddie race car track back home, Joe Gorga is taking Milania Giudice out for a heart to heart. Teresa told him Milania’s been struggling with her Nonna’s death the most, even claiming to see visions of her in the house (which I totally believe because I am one of those people!). It’s a sweet moment, with Joe telling Milania that he’ll step in while her father’s gone, and that he shares the pain of losing Antonia with her. Milania loses the tough facade too, showing how vulnerable she really is during this rough time – after all, she’s only eleven. “It doesn’t even feel real,” she says. But Joe promises they’ll get through it together.

Back at the retreat, the ladies gather for the next cruel exercise! The circle of trust. Bum BUM! Margaret opens up to the ladies (and Vikki, Sig’s business partner) about her stepchildren not speaking to her. Last week, I thought she was talking about her current husband’s kids – which made no sense. It’s her ex-husband’s children (not hers biologically, but she raised them since they were small) who won’t speak to her because she cheated on their father. Sorry, guys – I’m obviously a little slow on the uptake with this one! #TeresaProblems

The women are sympathetic, with Siggy even breaking down in tears. Margaret also cries when she reveals that her stepchildren haven’t spoken to her in six long years. Vikki suggests that Marge ask her ex-hubs if he’ll act as peacemaker in healing this relationship. Margaret says yes – she’ll do anything! I believe she will.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

It’s Teresa’s turn to bare her soul, so she admits how angry and resentful she is with Joe. Melissa is fairly surprised that Teresa is even opening up this much, but she wants more. She thinks Tre needs to demand an apology from Joe – as if that’s ever gonna happen. When Dolores is asked to spill her secrets next, she refuses, instead doing a promo for her upcoming dog charity event. Margaret is like, WTF lady?! But Dolores ain’t about to bare anything to these broads.

Okay, the retreat is finally over. With everyone back home, it’s time for Teresa’s make-it-nice tour! She heads to Siggy’s first, where Siggy gushes about the life-changing pellets that have been implanted into her derriere. You know, she is acting like last season’s Siggy more these past two episodes…so I’m all about the pellets! WELCOME BACK, SIG! (Please never bring that other woman wearing your face out here ever again, ok?) She’s also “in the mood” more these days, which makes Michael a happy Camper-nella. (Sorry – I couldn’t stop myself. When the corny strikes, the corny wins.)

Teresa confesses that it’s been three months since she’s visited Joe in prison, er, “camp.” Siggy reminds Tre that she’s “one of the strongest women in the world!” <side eye> But she’ll have to be vulnerable too. Just don’t turn into Soggy Teresa, babe. Too soon! Too freaking soon. We barely lived through the first one.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

It’s the day of Dolores’s dog charity event with the Onyx And Breezy Foundation, a rescue organization she’s been inspired to help since her beloved dog, Boo, passed away last year. Margaret, Teresa, Siggy, and Danielle arrive – all greeted warmly with the exception of the artist formerly known as Prostitution Wh*ore (TM). Melissa arrives last, taking the kiddos to the bouncy house before they run away with a new fluffy friend!

Since the retreat, everyone feels like they’ve gotten past their differences. But Danielle is still on the outs. So Melissa makes sure that Danielle is ousted even more when she spills this tea to Siggy: Danielle thinks Margaret and her making up is a sham! Instead of a pellet practically shooting out of Siggy’s a$$ at this news, she takes it in stride. She’s practically like, Danielle WHO? Good for her!

In another part of the field, Danielle is telling Margaret the exact same thing. She thinks Siggy made up with Marge at her retreat out of convenience – and to look like the “relationship expert” she purports to be. Sounds about right. Margaret has heard that Danielle is a sh*t starter, so she’s not sure what to make of this gossip. For now, she’ll keep it close to the vest. Another good move. (Hmm. Are we thinking that Marge received a Housewives Playbook prior to joining the cast? Because this broad is making all the right moves. So far…)

As dogs hump each other in the background, Kim D.’s name is brought up. And this congruence of events could not be more perfectly edited. Siggy and Dolores will be heading to the Posche fashion show, where all roads to hell lead. But Teresa and Melissa would rather not wear makeup to the gym than attend their arch enemy’s event. Hmmph!

Later on, Melissa stops by Margaret’s Macbeth collection showroom in the city to check out what a real business looks like! She sees Margaret as a possible mentor, and Marge is happy to oblige. Melissa wants advice – and she has a lot of questions – but when Margaret can finally get a word in edgewise, her suggestions are as follows: Go to Europe not Trenton for fashion inspiration. She suggests a trip to Milan to check out the market! Melissa agrees immediately, and I smell a Housewives trip in our near future. Woot woot! Get your animal prints steam cleaned and clear heels dusted off, people. Jersey is heading back to the old country!!!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

At Posche, Dolores and Siggy stop by to try on prom dresses from 1997, and to hear the dirt Kim – freshly resurrected from the her crypt – is dishing. Word on Mama Joyce’s streets is that Teresa has “rekindled an old flame,” she says, and everyone knows it! Kim also says the “whole world” knows Joe was cheating on Tre too. Siggy tries to shut Kim down by screaming “It’s a FREAKING RUMOR!” in her face while Dolores basically stands by silently. Interesting. She doesn’t seem very outraged, does she? In fact, she outright cracks up when Kim goes off on Tre some more! Uh oh. There will be blood.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

With the scene set for a dinner of drama, the ladies meet ready to let the accusations and stemware fly! After they’re assembled, Melissa thanks Siggy for hosting the retreat, then gushes about Margaret’s showroom. On cue, she announces the producer mandated trip idea. Does everyone want to go to Milan? Um, but of course they do! They need the paycheck. But wait – is Tre allowed out of the country now? I guess probation is over.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

The tone turns sour when Siggy announces next that she and Dolores will be walking in the Posche fashion show. Teresa’s like, “Whyyyyyyy?” Um, because they don’t hate her. But when Dolores tells Teresa what Kim’s saying about her cheating on Joe, everything goes ALL the way left. Heated to a quick boil, Teresa lashes out at Dolores for not sticking up for her more – especially with her walking in Kim’s show after this! “I always stay neutral. I’ve known Kim for twenty years!” defends Dolores. But Tre is fit to flip tables now. Everyone – GIRD YOUR SPANX!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

Melissa reminds Dolores that they don’t live in Switzerland, they live in Jersey. So pick a side! Siggy thinks they’re overreacting, which is comical coming from the queen of overreactions. Channeling the pre-namaste Tre, Teresa barely revs up her engines before throwing a glass against the brick wall behind her and growing, “IT’S NOT F**KING TRUE!!! You shoulda stuck up for me!”

With the silverback of the group flexing, Dolores now has to rise to the challenge. Veins nearly bursting out of her recently spray-tanned forehead, she jumps up out of her chair to scream back, “I DID!!!” while pounding her hands on the table. The patrons are scared, the cameras have gone shaky, and it’s all Blair Witch-meets-Jersey Shore for a moment before Margaret tells everyone to calm the hell down!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Walking On Broken Glass

Naturally, Siggy takes issue with Margaret for stepping in, ultimately screaming that she “has no HEART!” before stomping out of the restaurant with Dolores. “Idiots!” she snarls, passing by the tables of poor diners just trying to choke down their chicken parm with grandma clutching her pearls. My god, ladies! As Ramona Singer would say, Calm down! Take a Xaaaaaaanax! Also, please never dine out in public again.

“I can’t believe that f**kin b*tch said that!” Teresa says about Kim. Yo – It’s time to form a posse! They plan to go confront Kim D. on her own turf once and for all. Danielle just needs to call those thugs from season one at the meth rehab for backup, and it’s a go! I’m in.

TELL US: ARE YOU AS EXCITED FOR THE POSSE AS ME? IS TERESA REALLY GOING TO CONFRONT KIM D? IS DOLORES JUST ‘NEUTRAL’ – OR A BAD FRIEND?

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Woohoo! I hope you fastened your seat belts, because the fun part of the roller coaster ride that has been Survivor: HHH apparently has started. There have been ups and downs, for sure, and as recently as last week I had finally came to terms with myself and declared this season a bust…well, a bust by Survivor standards, in which the worst season of Survivor is still better than any other reality competition show out there. I had written that the potential for a great season had been there, but at almost every turn, the game has swerved away from its best path forward.

But tonight’s double episode though! Just when I thought the ride was slowing down and easing me towards the exit, the show went and threw me for a loop de loop. Let’s get into it, shall we?  Please remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s double Episodes 10 and 11 of Survivor: HHH, so if you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add too that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap, and is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Wow, so much to get to this week! First off, thanks to those of you who waited until this past Monday for last week’s exit interview and Podcast. If you missed that interview and would like to hear from Cole Medders, click here. Of course, that episode last week ended with a head-scratcher of a Tribal Council, with Dr. Mike inexplicably playing his Idol and then having Joe follow his lead to vote out fellow Healer, Cole, much to the bewilderment of the rest of the players and the audience. This week we got to witness the reaction back at camp – which mainly consisted of Joe laughing at how terrible a move it was – and we did get some sort of explanation from Mike…as he describes it, he wanted to ensure that he kept Joe in the game, because he wanted to have a voting block of two, as opposed to if Cole stayed in the game, those two did not see eye to eye. But as we’re learning, just because it makes sense in Dr. Mike’s head, it doesn’t mean it makes sense…getting people to hate you and then wasting a hidden Idol may not have been worth just keeping Joe in the game.

But the real fireworks began after this. The double-ep began with nine players still in the game, and by the end we were down to seven. What came in-between was, without a doubt, two GREAT episodes of Survivor, back-to-back. This was some expert-level Survivor stuff people, and for the first time all season, the game actually went in the direction of the most exciting outcome.

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Let’s face it: I don’t think anybody is crying over the fact that JP was voted out. He seems like a nice, likable guy for sure, and was well-placed on a tribe full of “heroes.” But the dude obviously didn’t have much strategy, because we had barely seen or heard from him the entire season. When he did talk, he didn’t seem to have much personality, at least not in the way that we’re used to watching these real-life characters on TV. Due to time limitations on his end, CBS has only allowed us to email him three questions to answer…which is fitting, because I’m not sure how I would have filled a 15-minute interview with him.  Again, nice guy, but there just isn’t much to talk about there.

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

On the other end of the spectrum, we lost Joe Mena tonight, who definitely supplied tons of spunk and personality into this season (his face is one that should absolutely grace the DVD release of Survivor: HHH). For me, he was sort of the likable scoundrel, a villain that I found myself rooting for from the get-go. The game just got away from him, and can pretty much be traced back to one distinct moment: When he incorrectly played his second hidden Idol on himself, and Jessica was sent home. It would have been a God-like move to have sniffed out the Jessica vote and played the Idol on her, but it was at that moment where Joe’s footing really was lost. He kept sliding on through these past few votes, but in the end it really was the best move to vote him out tonight. Why you ask?

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Ashley‘s last-minute plan to possibly blindside Ben would have been soul-crushingly epic, after everything he had just done for his newfound alliance (becoming a secret agent and putting on an Oscar-caliber performance, and whatnot). But I don’t think it was in that alliance’s best interest to do this to Ben at this time. In doing so, they would have first-and-foremost created a bitter jury member who would not only NOT vote for any of them if given a choice, but that sort of dirty blindside might have even tainted the rest of the jury pool. That would have also left Joe in the game along with his fellow #Coconut, Dr. Mike…a voting bloc of two. Chrissy and Ryan are another voting bloc of two, and if these two pairs would have decided to team up, they’d hold a 4-3 advantage all of a sudden. Yes, Lauren has her extra vote advantage, but even then it would create a scary 4-4 tie-vote in this scenario. I do think that if any of them would have known that Ben now has a hidden Idol, I feel like that might have been the tipping point that might have made them turn on Ben and vote him out with his Idol, so kudos to Ben for keeping this close to his chest. Yes, by voting out Joe, that alliance now has a solid 4-3 majority, and they now have the option to use Lauren’s advantage to get out a bigger target, like Ben should they so choose, down the road.

The formation of the powerful four-person alliance of Ashley, Devon, Ben and Lauren really was the big strategic development of the evening, but as we saw by episode’s end, there is no such thing as a full-proof, rock-solid alliance. Devon showed that he is an absolute beast in coming up with the whole Ben “double agent” thing (what a great idea), and Ashley too, is seizing this opportunity. None of this mentions Lauren, who is playing one hell of a game and can reasonably be named as the creator of this new alliance.

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

This leads me to the most exciting point about the rest of this season: I still love this cast…I’ve said that from the beginning. I think there are several great players remaining, all of whom are just savvy enough to win it all. At this point in the game, I usually find myself examining a player and asking, “Would he/she be considered a great or even a good winner should he/she go on to win the game?” “Can I see this person winning Survivor?” Now with JP gone, is there really anybody left that you would answer “no” to these questions? I think Ashley still has some proving to do, and I think it’s clear that if Ryan were to somehow win, you’d have to admit that it wasn’t a dominant, “complete” game. But ANY of the others, including Dr. Mike? I think we’ve got a lot of great things ahead of us (and yes, it’s obvious that this season has gotten its hooks back into me)…and there is still much more game-play to come.

Episode Take-Away: A pair of strong eps has me suddenly leaning forward into what the rest of this season has to offer. Did you know that Finale night is on December 20th? That means only two (gasp!) episodes left leading up to that two-hour Finale. It’s crunch-time, and I like the way the game and these players are setting up for it.

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Strategic Move of the Week: This, hands down, goes to Devon, for his great plan to keep Ben “on the inside” of the enemy alliance. It worked good – almost too good as it almost led to Ben’s exit! – and really shows us how dangerous Devon is in this game…will any of the others realize it before it’s too late?

Voted out this week: JP and Joe

Won Immunity: Ashley and Chrissy

Vote #1: No Idols or advantages played. 5 – JP (Lauren, Devon, Joe, Mike, Ashley), 3 – Mike (Ryan, Chrissy, Ben), 1 – Joe (JP)

Vote #2: Ryan played Idol on himself. 4 – Joe (Lauren, Devon, Ashley, Ben), 2 – Ashley (Ryan, Chrissy), 2 – Ryan, negated by Idol (Joe, Mike)

Survivor: HHH Episodes 10 And 11 Recap: Buy One Get One Free

Next Week’s Episode: It’s the loved ones episode everybody! Bring your tissues! And the game looks to get even more interesting when it appears that Ben is catching on to the idea that maybe he is at the bottom of his new four-person alliance. Is it time for Ben to jump back on-board with Chrissy? His hidden Idol sure is looking important right about now.

Quick Note! Remember to return right here to Reality Tea for my FilmSurvivor Podcast Thursday, where you can listen to my full exit interview with Joe, and hopefully read my transcribed “three questions” with JP (if his responses don’t arrive in time, I’ll include them next week). Last but not least, I encourage you to check out my weekly movie reviews. And as always, the easiest way to get all of my Survivor coverage and movie reviews is to follow me on Twitter – @tomsantilli – or on Facebook.
