After months of attention-grabbing headlines from the cast, we finally have a premiere date for Real Housewives of New York Season 10. We will be blessed with a new episode on Wednesday April 4 at 9PM on Bravo, of course.
Obviously people want to see Luann de Lesseps before and after her instantly-infamous Christmas Eve arrest. Will the show’s conversation still be “about Tom”? Bethenny Frankel is still killing it as a philanthropist and business woman. Will Ramona Singer’s dress return scheme be featured? What is happening with Tinsley Mortimer’s on-again-off-again relationship with Scott Kluth.
Bravo shared a press release about the upcoming season and there are some other story lines to look forward to which have been kept out of the headlines.
Apparently Sonja Morgan “is trying to get her life back on track after a summer of detoxing and distancing herself from the women.” And of course her “feud” with Tinsley “is alive and well.”
The press release also says “Dorinda [Medley] wants to create something new that is not tied to the past, and considers life without being in a relationship, but first she must put Sonja in her place.” Based on social media, Dorinda and John Mahdessian seem pretty solid to me, so this sounds like a reach to tease some drama. And it’s not at-all surprising that Dorinda and Sonja are exchanging insults yet again. I can’t wait for the onslaught of memes and GIFs from their inevitable arguments.
For some reason, people think that we care about Carole Radziwill running a marathon. That was the lead-in for Carole’s portion of this press release which makes no sense since it’s also teased, “tension starts to show between her and Bethenny.” Now that is a story line to lead with. Carole became Bethenny’s sidekick and got a lot of flack for it so it should be interesting to see what she actually disagrees with Bethenny about.
Based on the description, Ramona isn’t bringing any major story lines this year, but maybe they’re just keeping those details under wraps for now: “Additionally, while Ramona still has a tumultuous relationship with Bethenny and just can’t seem to win her over, she has also caught the decorating bug, and is revamping her Hamptons home to close the final chapter on her life with Mario.” Yawn.

Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Monday has become my favorite day of the week. I hate to say this, but the cast’s problems get worse and worse and my Mondays just get better and better. Ultimately I want the best for them all and I view them all as friends in my head, but I have to admit that their drama always provides me with premium entertainment.
There is never a filler episode and almost every episode introduces multiple story lines. There is just always so much to dissect and poke fun at. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval discussed the podcast drama between Billie Lee and Stassi Schroeder, Scheana Marie’s constant mentions of her now-ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta, James Kennedy’s one-sided flirtation with Lala Kent (in front of his girlfriend Raquel Leviss), and some other Vanderpump Rules hot topics.
The most loyal couple on the show made a joint appearance on the Pump Rules Podcast. Of course they had to discuss the miscommunication when Ariana warned Billie to be careful if she wanted to do Stassi’s podcast. Ariana maintained,
“I never once called her racist. I never did. Not on Twitter, not in life, I never once did it. I just wanted Billie to know that she was going into a place on a podcast where she had an opportunity to really impart her knowledge onto Stassi. That’s really what I said, but I just said it in a more heated manner.”
As messy as that whole situation was, Ariana shared, “I honestly think that it was a teaching moment for all of us, on my end as well, on being patient, being more kind, being more open.” Tom interjected to emphasize, “[Stassi] basically told Lisa [Vanderpump] that Ariana was calling her a racist and that’s not true. That’s screwed up.” Yes it is.
Ariana revealed, “We’ve talked since that episode has aired. I think this is a lesson we are all learning. We’re all kind of going through it, but I really am starting to see that she’s looking at it in a different way. She’s getting all these different perspectives from people that are seeing it air.”
Speaking of learning lessons, part of me hopes that Scheana reels it in after watching her Robsessed comments. On the other hand, Scheana’s comments make me laugh every single week. So in conclusion I just want Scheana to keep up the good work. Scheana’s commentary is another one of those gifts that keeps on giving. I may feel that way, but Scheana’s close friend Ariana admitted, “I cringe” when she watches Scheana’s comments this season.
Ariana revealed, “I cringe. The thing is that I love the girl. I do. I’ve actually had people tweet at me ‘I really love you, but I hold back because I don’t understand why you’re friends with Scheana.’ Someone was like ‘I feel like there’s got to be something wrong with you, if you’re friends with Scheana.'” Damn.
She continued, “Here’s the thing, you don’t actually know her. There’s a lot of really amazing things about this person. There’s a reason why I want to be friends with her. It’s because she’s super sweet.” Ariana explained, “She’s sunshine and rainbows to a fault and I think that’s what you’re seeing a lot of. It’s almost because you know that it’s not right for her. That’s why it’s cringey.” Knowing that Scheana and Rob are no longer dating makes the running list of compliments especially awkward to watch. Likewise, it was vicariously embarrassing to watch Scheana brag about her marriage all last season even though the viewers knew that she filed for divorce.
Scheana may have been the star of that cast trip to Big Bear, but James brought some entertainment and scandal as well. He would not leave Lala alone. He was constantly touching her and making inappropriate comments to her in front of his girlfriend. Tom remarked, “Ariana, I’m sure you would be annoyed if you just saw me with some girl that I had hooked up with before. If you were Raquel and I was James kind of laughing and like whatever with Lala, you would probably be pretty annoyed.” Ariana agreed and added, “I would be very not OK.
Tom shared his analysis of James and Raquel’s relationship: “Because they’re gone and away from each other a lot, I feel like James feels this magic and they feel this magic between them and you know like distance makes the heart grow fonder, but you know at the end of the day, it doesn’t seem to me that they are on quite the same page nor are they really good friends. I don’t see them joking around or being goofy. I feel like it’s just this love and then James has Lala as his friendship slash sort of… slight tension… unrequited something.” Tom clarified, “I don’t think that she has anything toward James, but I think that James might a little bit towards her.” The flirtation is definitely one-sided. Tom also called out James for hating on Lala’s man Randall Emmett: “I cant believe the shit that came out of his mouth. I would have f**king decked him.”
Then in a pretty surprising turn of events, both Tom and Ariana came to Stassi’s defense after watching her ex Patrick Meagher’s comments at her birthday party. He told her it was OK for her to have sex with other guys as long as there weren’t any emotions involved. He also blocked her on all forms of media while he went on a vacation with his friends. Even the Stassi haters had to sympathize with her while watching that episode.
Ariana confessed, “Watching it and seeing all the things…Oh my god….The micro-aggressions that come from Patrick are sickening. Absolutely f**king sickening.” Tom added, “Sickening.” It really was.

Dorit Kemsley didn't like it when Lisa Vanderpump suggested their friendship was based on her closeness with Kemsley's husband P.K. However, time heals all wounds. On...Real Housewives Of New York is not even on the air yet, and we already know it’s going to be an epic season. Cameras have been rolling since before the New Year, and from what we’ve heard so far, the ladies of the Big Apple are BRINGING IT. The drama, the tragedy, the occasional resisting of arrest by way of locking oneself in a hotel bathroom – it’s all coming our way this Spring!
Here are ten reasons why season 10 of RHONY is going to be off the chain.
Making It Nice in the Berkshires
Dorinda Medley cooks, she cleans, she makes it nice. Every season, the RHONY ladies meet in the Berkshires to celebrate the holidays, scream at each other, and in Ramona Singer’s case, tear Dorinda’s spare bedroom apart with her bare hands. The Berkshires weekend has become a rite of passage, and we hear this season’s annual trip did not disappoint.
On the agenda: Probably lots of talk about the dissolution of Luann de Lesseps’ marriage to Tom D’Agostino, which was also the subject of last year’s Berkshires gathering. Ironically, Luann wasn’t married to Tom then, and isn’t again now.
Luann Slaps a Cop
Luann was arrested on Christmas Eve for slapping a cop, resisting arrest, then breaking out of the police cruiser before being tackled back into it and ferried to the local precinct. All the way there, Luann was allegedly screaming, “I AM GOING TO KILL YOU ALL!”
This all occurred after Luann was busted for entering a hotel room that wasn’t hers, then refused to leave – ultimately locking herself In the bathroom. The mystery man she was with skedaddled, as did Luann’s friend who came later to calm her down. This all occurred, OF COURSE, in Palm Beach – on the anniversary of Luann’s failed marriage to Tom. Although cameras weren’t filming during the holiday break, rest assured that this fall from grace will be a major storyline this season.
It’s About Tom
Speaking of Palm Beach – or West Palm Beach, as Tinsley Mortimer would point out – Tom recently got into a scuffle with the law as well. Luann’s wretched ex-husband of five minutes and his new gal pal were dining out when Tom ran into an old business associate. Apparently, the two men started hurling insults at each other, then hurled drinks!
Police were called and it’s been reported that the investigation is still open. But let’s hope Tom’s window of D-list fame on RHONY is closed. You know the women are going to be talking about this sh*t though – especially Luann!
Bethenny’s Disaster Relief
We watched the horrors of hurricanes unfold in 2017, and one Housewife rose to the occasion like no other Bravolebrity. Despite criticism, Bethenny suited up and showed up for thousands of people in TX, FL, and Peurto Rico who were in dire need of human aid.
Chartering planes, organizing donations from small businesses, and flying with her team to destinations in need of help, Bethenny walked her B-Strong talk. Here’s hoping RHONY shows us some on-the-ground footage of this mission in action. Plus – It’s better than watching another 6-month Skinnygirl commercial, eh?
Countess Cabaret
As for the former Countess, we can count on her bouncing back this season after her short stint in rehab. She’s bouncing right into a cabaret act, in fact!
This week, Luann debuted some sort of absurd/amazing cabaret show in the vein of Sonja Tremont Morgan, who we know loves a good cringeworthy public performance. Sonja actually joined Luann on stage to celebrate Luann’s freedom in a hailstorm of glitter and weird disco lighting. We are here for this.
Mugshots & Courtroom Drama
Luann’s freedom will be a major storyline this season, as she’s still awaiting punishment for her Christmas Eve shenanigans. Her lawyer refused plea deal #1, according to sources because it included jail time. But word on the street is that because Luann refused the first deal, she could actually be facing MORE jail time now. Huh? Whatever happens, we need to see it on RHONY.
While Luann was still in rehab after her arrest, the rest of the RHONY crew participated in an Escape Room activity at which they brandished their own mugshots. We like to think this was in solidarity with their locked-up homie.
Jill Zarin & Bethenny Frankel Make Amends
Sadly, Jill Zarin lost her beloved husband, Bobby Zarin, to cancer this year. In a surprising moment, news sources picked up shots of Bethenny and Jill sharing a tender moment outside of Bobby’s memorial service in NYC. Later, we learned that Jill had welcomed Bravo cameras to film the scene, which caused raised eyebrows everywhere – but also interest in seeing exactly what plays out between the women on that sidewalk. We’ll definitely be seeing this promoted heavily.
Jill Crashes Morocco
It’s Scary Island 2018! Ramona posted clips of the cast trip in Morocco this winter, then sprung this nugget on us: JILL SHOWED UP TOO! Because…of course she did.
This time, Ramona didn’t turn her frenemy away, so Jill apparently got to crash the RHONY trip and was even included in filming. Only the sudden appearance of Kelly Bensimon (and maybe some throwback gummy bears) could make this a true full circle moment. In any case, it’s going to be a wild ride.
All Aboard the Titanic
At least they acted like they did when their “luxury boat” in Colombia turned out to be a junky vessel that caught on fire and almost sent the RHONY cast to their watery graves! Reports included horrific facts like the anchor being sawed off, the engines catching fire, and Ramona’s blowout getting wet. In short, it was a comic tragedy that we better all be getting FRONT ROW seats for this season. If Bravo buries this footage, they are dead to me.
Housewives Refugees
This epic photo needs to be RHONY’s holiday card, period. Or turned into an oil painting. While other Housewives franchises were arguing over which stemware to use for Rose, these badass b*tches were sitting on the floor of a Colombian airport looking like they just washed up on shore after a shipwreck. Which, they pretty much did.
Please note: Ramona in a wheelchair fixing her hair. Is this not everything we need our Housewives to be? Damaged, delusional, fabulous, and a HOT MESS?

The last time we saw Kathy Wakile on Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice referred to her as a “cancer” that she needed to cut out. Since Real Housewives of New Jersey is essentially The Teresa Giudice show, it’s not surprising that Kathy is no longer a cast member.
What is surprising is that Kathy didn’t mention Teresa or Melissa Gorga (by name) in a recent interview about time as a Real Housewife. Most likely that was something the interviewers agreed upon beforehand because if I ever got a chance to talk to Kathy, those two would be the first people that I mentioned to her. She was at odds with her cousin Teresa the entire time she was on the show and Melissa shifted from #TeamKathy to #TeamTeresa, so I would love to know what she really thinks about her relatives.
In an interview for The Tomorrow Show, Kathy discussed that infamous baptism brawl during her first episode as a Housewife. Kathy insists, “I wasn’t only protecting my children, I was protecting everyone’s children. That’s what set the tone at the beginning of the show. Maybe they thought I was trying to be condescending or rude. No, I got out of there because I wanted to make sure everybody’s kids were out of their too.” One of those kids was Teresa’s youngest daughter Audriana. Kathy mentioned that Audriana was left “unattended” which resulted in another explosive argument with Teresa.

It was a “two-fer” on the first night of Survivor: Ghost Island, as in we got two eliminated contestants for the price of one. Season 36 started off with a lot of confusion and complication, but by the end of the two hours one thing was clear: This season looks to be a good one.
But when the dust settled, two Orange Tribe members – Stephanie Gonzalez and Jacob Derwin – became the first victims of the Ghost Island spirits. If you missed any of the action, you can catch up with our Episode 1 and 2 Recap, as well as checking out the Podcast below.

Things did not start out on the right foot for Jacob Derwin…quite literally…as his shoes were swept away into the ocean nearly as fast as his Survivor dreams. Not being able to find a way to fit in with his tribe socially, Jacob went into self-preservation mode quite early by announcing that he was going off to explore looking for a Hidden Idol. He didn’t find one (although he did empty out the tribe rice into one of his dirty socks looking for a clue), but by being purposely boisterous following the Immunity Challenge, he successfully got the other tribe to pick him to be the first contestant to be sent to Ghost Island. On the island, he earned a secret advantage in the form of the Legacy Advantage (which can only be used later in the game) and then willed it to Morgan at the other camp.
Jacob‘s presence on Ghost Island kept him safe for the first vote, much to the chagrin of Stephanie “Gonzalez.” Gonzalez was a confident and independent force, but too much so in the end. With the easy target (Jacob) not eligible, someone had to go home first, and the tribe took the opportunity to get rid of a person whom they identified as a strong player, over the weaker Donathan. Gonzalez didn’t go down without a fight though, and made quite the scene at the season’s first Tribal Council by getting up and starting private conversations with several other players. Ultimately it did her no good, and she was voted out unanimously, becoming the First Boot of Ghost Island.
Once Jacob returned, he was no longer safe. Despite concocting a crazy plan where he made a fake Idol, he wasn’t able to get in the good graces of his tribe mates. That’s when Stephanie (the “not-Gonzalez” one) struck. Playing into her motives like a fiddle, Jacob spilled all of his Survivor beans to her, telling her that his Idol was indeed fake and then also telling her all about the Legacy Advantage and how he gave it to Morgan. Jacob’s fate lied solely in Stephanie’s hands at that point, and despite some thought on Stephanie’s part, she decided it was best to get Jacob out of the game now. Super-fan Jacob only lasted six days in the game, doing more than most have with his time.
I had the chance to speak to both Gonzalez and Jacob today on the FilmSurvivor Podcast (the full audio of which you can find and download at the bottom of this article). But here were some highlights from both interviews:
GONZALEZ INTERVIEW
On being the “first boot” this season:
Stephanie Gonzalez: It’s really weird because you see yourself, and you see like a third-person perspective. So I’m watching myself on TV and I’m experiencing all the emotions and I’m looking at it different, looking at it from what you experienced…it was gut-wrenching because I remember like, Oh My God, that’s how I felt when this happened, or this is how I felt when that happened, so it was kind of reliving the moment but it was also like looking at a character versus that actually being me. So it was weird. But it sucked. Obviously.
On whether she prefers being called “Stephanie” or “Gonzalez”:
Stephanie: You can call me whatever you would like, just don’t call me “first boot”! (Laughs) [Note: Oops!]
JACOB INTERVIEW
On what Ghost Island is really like:
Jacob Derwin: It’s hilarious. It is the funniest thing. I mean, I can’t recognize every single thing, I don’t have that kind of memory. But even if you don’t know where every single thing is from, you recognize things and you know all of this stuff is from the show. It’s just something else. I think at some point I described it as like a Survivor wet dream (laughs).
On what his “big mistake” or “bad decision” was in the game:
Jacob: I could name a few. Look, I attribute my downfall to myself. I don’t attribute my downfall to any advantages, I attribute it to me not playing the social role that I needed to play. That said. I mean, I still have this stupid (fake) Idol. It’s not a good-looking Idol. I mean, it’s not bad. It’s not good. (Laughs) I mean if Dom can get Andrea’s old Idol then maybe [on a future Ghost Island season] someone can get my fake Idol.

The Real Housewives of New York viewers have watched Luann de Lesseps go through a lot over the years, including two marriages, getting called out for a one night stand, downgrading to a “Friend of the Housewives,” and now that list includes getting arrested.
Following her Christmas Eve arrest, Luann has issued a series of public apologies, checked in and out of rehab, and now she’s performing in her own cabaret show and making jokes at her own expense.
Luann performed on February 27. Page Six reports that Luann told her the audience,“I feel so much love here.” She even joked, “I had a list of songs but had to reconsider ‘Jailhouse Rock.’” Is that hilarious, or is it too soon to kid about?
During the performance, Luann admitted, “I fought the law and the law won. She added, “Crazy for thinking I could get out of those handcuffs.” It definitely wasn’t the smartest move.
Luann even confessed, “Not drinking is exhausting. Getting up at six and going to my meetings and to yoga and then filming ‘Housewives.’” She explained,“I’m dead by 10 o’clock I’m wiped out, I’m exhausted. And usually, I’m just starting at the Regency at that time.” What a difference a year makes. I wonder when Luann’s last Regency appearance was.
According to an article from Entertainment Tonight, Luann joked, “I can say I’ve learned one thing from this experience. Everyone should memorize three phone numbers you should call if you went to jail. Think about it. When you get arrested, they confiscate your cell phone.” That actually is a valid point. Thanks to our cell phones, a lot of us do not have a good amount of phone numbers memorized.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like 2009. I am anticipating the premiere of a new Jersey Shore show and I could not be more excited. Jersey Shore Family Vacation is exactly the kind of escapism that we need these days.
The show hasn’t even premiered yet, but the the stars are blowing up social media with the news of a second season.
Obviously Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is elated since she tweeted, “HOLY SHIT BALLS! Our show didn’t even air yet and we are already on to season 2! ALL THANKS TO THE FANS! We won’t disappoint. you’re stuck with our hot mess asses now #jsfamilyvacation #SEASON2 #jerzdays.“ Snooki also referenced the fact that they got the renewal before Season 1 ever aired with this tweet: “WE’RE BACK BEFORE WE EVEN SHOWED UP BITCHES.”

This makes me so excited for the next Real Housewives of Orange County season. Shannon has been on her fitness game, dropped some dead weight (David Beador), and she’s just living her best life.
Shannon and her three daughters enjoyed a girls trip to Mexico recently and of course Shannon shared plenty of family photos on social media.
Shannon and her three girls enjoyed the beach and went out to dinner with friends. Shannon even made the time to get a workout in while she was on vacation, which is something I always say I’m going to do, but never actually have. Props to Shannon for being on her game.
Shannon also shared a look at her beach read, a book called Comeback & Beyond, which is hopefully some positive foreshadowing for Shannon’s next season on Real Housewives of Orange County.
