New Episode Of Below Deck Mediterranean Tonight: Is Hannah’s Job In Jeopardy?
The tension between Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier has been building for the past two seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean. Aside from the preexisting tension, Hannah’s romance with the boat’s Bosun Conrad Empson seems to be a distraction from both of their jobs. And that is something does not sit well with Captain Sandy, of course.
But does Captain Sandy have a valid point or is she biased because of her blatant dislike for Hannah? Could it be a combination of both? Then again, Joao Franco romanced Kasey Cohen and Brooke Laughton this season and none of them have suffered Captain Sandy’s wrath as a result.
Below Deck Mediterranean is back tonight with an all new episode at 9PM. Based on the episode description from the Bravo website, it’s going to be (another) tough one for Hannah.
What can we expect tonight? “With both Hannah and Jamie [Jason] down, Captain Sandy steps in to support her crew.” And there’s no doubt this just adds to that tension between Captain Sandy and Hannah.
In seemingly less dramatic news, “Adam [Glick] feels like his chance at redemption is foiled when charter guest Kenny requests an impromptu beach picnic.”
There’s even more trouble for Hannah in this episode description: “As Brooke and Kasey step up to fill the void for being down a stew, they notice that it’s smoother sailing.” The two of them are getting more done than they normally do with Hannah in charge of the interior? Yikes. Captain Sandy is not going to be happy about that realization.
And the drama just keeps on coming for the Chief Stew: “Meanwhile, Conrad is torn between being a shoulder to lean on for Hannah and assuring Sandy that he’s fulfilling his job on deck.”
Just to hammer the point home that this is a problematic episode for Hannah, the description ends with “And Hannah crosses a line with Sandy that could end her charter season a lot sooner than she thought.” Is this really the end of Hannah’s time on this show? She is the only original cast member that is still on the show….at this point.
TELL US- DOES HANNAH SEEM LIKE A GOOD CHIEF STEW? IS CAPTAIN SANDY TOO HARD ON HANNAH OR IS THE CRITICISM JUSTIFIED? ARE HANNAH AND CONRAD A GOOD MATCH?

Teen Mom 2 Recap: Road Rage
From the surgery table to court-ordered child support, and lost aides to road rage, Teen Mom 2 had a lot going on this week.
Chelsea DeBoer: Chelsea takes Watson to a dinosaur museum. Then she and her mom go out to lunch. Mary says she is close to having the baby? I thought Chelsea was still pregnant in real time. Apparently, it’s been a year since Adam has seen Paislee and months since he’s seen Aubree.
Chelsea has to fill out paperwork prior to them being able to set up visits so Chelsea and Cole are going to take that step. They go to the visitation center. Cole talks the most he has in seasons expressing his frustration over having to use the visitation center. Of course, we don’t get to see the center, there are probably rules against cameras. Cole says it’s nicer than he expected. Personally, I would hope they make it as inviting as possible and maybe have toys and things to make the kids comfortable. They are upset that Adam hasn’t taken any steps on his own to see Aubree. Well, they should be. But are we surprised? It’s doubtful he is sober and he never showed much follow through other than relying on his parents to secure the time, or when he was impressing a girlfriend. A year since seeing Paislee is just inexcusable, she is going to forget who he is! Hopefully, since they did set things up his parents will at least push him to follow through on his end (or the courts) so he can see Aubree.
Leah Messer: Leah is back from Hawaii. Leah seemed really excited to see her kids. (Seeing her sister’s apartment is probably a glimpse into the life all these girls would be living without TM money). Later, Leah is all bothered and sputtering so she vents first to her kids, and then a producer about the school system cutting Ali’s aid. I understand the frustration but Ali’s eyes from the backseat when Leah said that she wouldn’t have her aid were so big and so scared. She needed to break that news to her much more gently. She and Corey discuss the issue. They are both upset, understandably so. I wish she would have discussed it with Corey before the girls because their fear is shared but we know they want to hide that from Ali. That said, it’s one of the more ‘real’ moments we get on this show because every parent wishes they had reacted better or differently to some things. The real issue is budget cuts made by the school system, which is probably why they are losing the aid. Hopefully, they work together and reach out to other parents in similar situations so they can lobby the school system to support their kids.
Briana DeJesus: Briana’s surgery is tomorrow. Devoin slept in her bed back home with the rest of the Coven and is earning his stay by cooking and cleaning. Briana sure seems to have an attitude for someone who has complained about his involvement since Nova was an infant. Roxanne complains that Javi is shady and just seeking camera time while Bri claims to want to have him around because she’s comfortable with him.
In Dr. Miami land we meet the illustrious doctor and get the list of surgery items again. Brittany, Devoin, Roxanne, Nova, and Stella meanwhile are packed up in the car and on their way to Miami. Why was it such an issue for her to find aftercare if they could just pack up and come like its no big deal? Devoin rides shotgun while Brittany drives. If I were a betting person I would be all in on a bet that those headphones Devoin had were noise canceling!
Post-surgery Briana is groggy. Javi comes in for comfort. I can’t believe she let this be shown on television. Back at the rental, they move her into the apartment. Briana is in a lot of pain and cries talking to her mom. Javi is surprisingly calm and comforting. Shirley (one-day post-opp herself) goes down to let Roxanne and Brittany in. They surprise Briana and she sobs. Javi says he is going to find a hotel and starts to pack. They take Stella and Nova in to see Bri. Roxanne goes into the next room and calls Javi out on coming when there were going to be camera crews around. She calls him sneaky and shady. He leaves.
Kailyn Lowry: Kailyn is also recently home from Hawaii. She is annoyed with Chris and apparently the feeling is mutual. He called her a bad mom (well he used another word but we’ll leave it out). She and Bone complain about him with mouths full of food. Kail explains she filed for child support because he cheated on her and hasn’t participated much as a parent. She is upset that her income will be taken into account when it comes to setting Chris’ child support. A) I’m not sure why child support is used as a threat. It isn’t. It’s a fact of life if you are raising a child with a person you aren’t married to. And B) She was pretty supportive of income being a factor when she first took Joe to court for child support. I won’t justify any of the dads not having to pay to support their kids, but the system is set up to look at both incomes and this has worked to help support her at points in time as well.
Eventually, the courts do just this. They look at both incomes and between Kailyn and Chris’ respective incomes they agreed to him paying $346 per month ($133/month is the minimum). Kailyn is anything but happy about this (despite agreeing to it).
Jenelle Evans: Jenelle took Jace to another therapy appointment. Afterwards they are going to get ice cream and Jenelle gets aggravated over food in her car. She seems jumpy and uses a frantic singing voice as she slings French fries out of the window. Jenelle has a random ID card and Jace finds it. He says he wants to change his last name and when Jenelle suggests Eason, he says “no, to something better’. Jenelle than almost gets passed by a white truck and slows down on purpose to keep him behind her. Suddenly he passes her on the opposite side and then must slam on his breaks because she slams on her breaks. After slamming on the breaks to avoid hitting him she orders Jace to give her the phone. Jenelle gets on the phone with the police to report the tailgating and aggressive driving.
After talking to the police Jenelle takes a breath and calms down because she reported the incident and no road rage vendetta is worth risking the lives of herself and her first born child.
Just kidding. The driver turns off so Jenelle follows him. She whips off her seatbelt and reaches down to get a gun to set beside her. Jace offers to get the guy with his nerf gun. Then Jenelle gets on the phone with David and screams about the situation. She tells him that she is in front of the guys house. She screams at the guy and backs over his mailbox. He screams at her. She screams that he hit her car and then the screen fades black and MTV tells us that she pulled her gun on the guy.
When we return, Jenelle screams at David on the phone telling him that the stranger won’t let her leave, she hit the guys mailbox, and now the guy is following her. Meanwhile, Jace is sitting in the front seat looking terrified. Jenelle doesn’t ever acknowledge or ask if Jace is OK at any point.
David, despite all the faults we’ve seen, is the complete voice of reason. He admonishes her for following the guy to his house and says you don’t follow a grown man. Where has this guy been?
Jenelle calls Kristin after hanging up on David. He didn’t pander to her or flatter her so why give any more time to him? Jenelle gets pulled over and that’s when she starts crying. The cop acknowledges Jace but Jenelle doesn’t. She quickly paints herself as the victim. Then Jenelle and the cop get out of the car leaving Jace alone with the gun?
Jace calls Barb (while alone in the car and the gun). He tells her that Jenelle pointed the gun at the guy.
Of course, I read about this incident and knew what was going to happen, but it was chilling to see this play out in front of the cameras. Jenelle has reached a new low for me. Not only did she willingly exacerbate the situation repeatedly, she showed no concern or compassion for her son throughout. She always chooses a guy that can make her look a little better by default but no matter how bad any of them have been, she is the common denominator. Remove David from the show and now we see just how much she endangers her children. Her segments were chilling. MTV described this as ‘Jenelle encountering an aggressive driver’, she sure did and escalated the situation to a life and property damaging level and that footage had better be used against her for such disgraceful behavior.

Kelly Dodd Says Vicki Gunvalson Was “Full Of Sh*t” When She Apologized To Eddie Judge
For most of her time on Real Housewives of Orange County, Kelly Dodd has been a pretty polarizing character. Nevertheless, most viewers can’t help being on her side after watching the last episode.
Her “friend” Vicki Gunvalson introduced a woman to Kelly’s (very recent) ex-husband Michael Dodd and went on double dates with the duo without telling Kelly. Who does that? Of course, Michael was going to end up dating someone, but why is Vicki hanging out with them and keeping it from Kelly? SHADY.
During last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Kelly dished on the Vicki betrayal and gave some post-divorce updates. Andy Cohen asked if she and Michael are getting along these days and she insisted, “We are best friends- better than we were married.” She also shared that her favorite thing about being single is “I don’t have to answer to anyone?”
And then after that round of fun questions, she got to the Vicki drama. Kelly Dodd explained why she was so upset: “She didn’t tell me, which is what the whole thing was. I had to read it from one of my friends that writes for Daily Mail and she texted me right before she got there. I was happy to have her come, but it was her reaction to me what… She really could have cleared it up and said ‘This is what happened,’ but she lied and she didn’t tell me.” #TeamKelly
Even though Kelly made her point very clear when she answered the first question, a viewer still asked, “Why are you so mad that your husband is dating? You didn’t want him, so why do you care who he’s dating or that Vicki double dated with him?” Kelly answered, “Well, I don’t care that he dates. I want him to date. I’m friends with him. I just didn’t like the fact that I was blindsided by a text when she was coming over. She could have just simply told me. That was the whole thing.” Fair enough.
The bartenders asked Kelly if Vicki’s Biblical references in her apology to Eddie Judge were manipulative or sincere. At first, she said, “I think she’s full of shit.” Then she backtracked and said, “I don’t know. I think it was sincere. I think she was crying.” Was Kelly joking with her initial response? Or was that how she truly felt?
The Vicki questions continued when a caller asked, “Since you were just betrayed by Vicki, do you think Shannon [Beador] and Tamra [Judge] were too quick to forgive her and do you think they’ll regret it?” Kelly answered, “No, they’re not going to regret it because they’re still good friends right now. Ummmmm. I don’t know.”
Another viewer asked, “When Shannon was on Watch What Happens Live, it sounded like she really did not like the new girls. What do you think about them?” Kelly joked, “Shannon doesn’t like any of the new girls at first, but Shannon’s awesome.” Obviously, Kelly was referencing her very rocky start with Shannon with the first part of that answer.
Kelly shared, “I like the new girls. I do, I like them. They like me.” She emphasized, “I like the new girls. They’re nice and they’re fun. I don’t know. I like them.” So far it seems like Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson are solid additions to the cast. At the very least, they seem like they’re bringing more to the table than the three cast members who left after last season- even though that was far from a tough task to complete.

Big Brother 20: Week 4 Alliance Update
Since the very the beginning of the season, the Big Brother 20 house has been divided. That seems to be the theme for this season. One side of the house going against the other side of the Big Brother 2018 house; this week is really no exception. One potentially major alliance began to materialize, but was squashed faster than a blink of the eye.
Since we lost Winston Hines at the last live eviction, the Level 6 alliance has now become the Level 5 alliance consisting of the same members: Tyler Crispen, Kaycee Clark, Angela Rummans, Rachel Swindler, and Brett Robinson. These guys have been responsible, directly or indirectly, for all of the 3 vote flips and blindsides this season. Tyler is playing a smart game and laying very low at the moment, but he still is working many angles of the game. Sam Bledsoe and JC Mounduix aren’t officially members of this group, but they clearly align with this side of the house.
The “other” side of the house is the old F.O.U.T.T.E. alliance which somehow became the Team This alliance. These guys are hanging on by a thread at this point in the game. Houseguests over here include Fayshal Shafaat, Haleigh Broucher, Bayleigh Dayton, Kaitlyn Herman, and Angie Rockstar Lantry. Scottie Salton leans to this side of the house but isn’t officially a member of this alliance. In addition, some of these players float or flip back and forth with their votes so it’s hard to know exactly where they land.

Excitingly, around the middle of last week, members of the house tried to put together an “all-girls” alliance. The girls from both sides of the house came together with the plan. They even named themselves, are you ready for it, the “man eaters”. The problem is that the group fell apart just as quickly as they came together. Once both sides started telling their existing alliances (and male counterparts) about the group, it was no more. Why can’t Big Brother female alliance ever work in this game?
So, right now in the Big Brother 20 house we have Level 5, the “other” side of the house with Team This, and also all of those smaller pacts and alliances that are sprinkled all over the map. Some of those are final 2 or 3 deals and include members from both sides of the house like Kaycee and Bayleigh. Surprisingly, there is no power couple to brag about this season, and I don’t know if we will see one sprout up anytime soon.
With Sam at the helm this week as the Head of Household, Level 5 is sitting pretty with 2 members of the other side on the block for eviction. Even if one of those block nominees, Kaitlyn and Haleigh, are taken down, it is doubtful a Level 5 member would go up in their place. Sam is still the HOH, and she would most likely target the same side of the house.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Recap: Sorry, Not Sorry!
I may not know much about the Bible but I do know about the rules and regulations of being a Real Housewife. So I know that Housewivesomy, Bravobial Truths states Thou Shall Honor Girl Code Above All Else. For some reason, for all Vicki Gunvason‘s learning about how the botoxed and manicured hearts and half-witted minds of her species works, she cannot take this to heart. So that is how it goes on The Real Housewives Of Orange County – the same tide that washes in good intentions taketh them away.
However, even in the real world, many cameras and storylines removed from anything touched by Andy Cohen or the dark waters climbing up the spiral staircase leading to Kelly Dodd‘s mid-century un-modern denial, it is bad form – very very bad form – to start double-dating with your friend’s ex-husband WITHOUT TELLING HER. How are we expected to believe that even Vicki is this stupid? Hasn’t she learned from Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge that involving herself in anyone’s marriage, or the disintegrating lack thereof, only leads down the path to H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks!
Shockingly Vicki wasn’t all bad this episode though. She sent Eddie Judge casseroles. OK, well, the low-carb, low-fat, low-deliciousness version called salads that Eddie and Tamra eat, cause they are people whose body fat composition looks like slick, spongy insides of a zucchini (I don’t know what that means, it just sounds funny). Vicki could’ve zoodled those zucchinis herself and baked love notes inside them, but Eddie still – wisely – wouldn’t eat it. He doesn’t trust Vicki Gunvalson as far as she can throw a kettle ball while doing a squat. (Maybe she is Miss Trunchbull in secret?)
To Vicki delivering food is basically her way of saying I’m sorry, I love you, I’m no longer a flat-earther, and guess what: I learned all the valuable lessons, and hope you’ll let me stuff you full of my needs and wants and delusions like this flaky tatertot crust clogs a cheesy broccoli. It is not a bad way to admit you’ve done wrong or show love, except Eddie probably doesn’t eat cheese and this is Orange County. So Vicki had to do the hard work here because as Eddie, a man so buff he gave himself a heart injury will tell you, anything worth having takes hard work. And he would know this especially as he is married to Tamra!
Vicki isn’t the only one making moves! Shannon’s attorney advocated for David to keep her in the manner she is accustomed to; except for that one teeny detail called not living IN a manner. Or with David, who was barely there to begin with. Anyway, Shannon may be imprisoned in a tiny house, scratching her feet on plastic grass a daily toxic reminder that David’s neglect is giving their only son Archie BPA poisoning, but she will not be forced to give up her luxury vacations. As if to prove the mantra “It’s cheaper to keep’er” David is sending her and the girls to Mexico. This is a clever distraction cause David will be simultaneously taking his new love to Park City to hobnob with the likes of Robert Redford while trying not to ski into a tree. A tree Shannon probably planted there to support Earth Day.
As Shannon prepares for this first trip as a single mom, she seems to be intentionally packing the suitcases well over the weight-limit; stuffing them with such essentials as Vicki’s casseroles distilled water and Costco-sized boxes of tampons. It’s a miracle of Gunvalsion Odyssey that they made it on the plane and to Puerto Vallarta alive!
While Shannon is having a great time, just her and the girls, she’d like other gals to join her – specifically gals to gulp vodka with while she cries, so she calls Tamra and proposes that Tarmra AND VICKI meet her in Mexico for an impromptu girls trip. After all nothing – and I mean nothing! – baptizes a Housewives friend group into solemnity like a good old whoop it up away from home. Tamra must consult Eddie first. Not only has he just had heart surgery, but he’s no fan of the Vickster.
Shannon hopes to use this trip to continue building trust with Vicki. I guess Vicki is the closest thing to David in the untrustworthy department and Shannon’s co-dependent like that! Interesting that Kelly isn’t included though…
Poor Eddie – he’s been wandering around their half-finished house, in a kitchen without a sink, and Vicki is preying on his weakness. To find solace he visits his version of church: CUT Fitness and teaches an aerobics class filled with Housewives. That, my friend, sounds like hell on all levels! In walks Kelly, who now that she is dating is more fit than ever, Emily Simpson, who will tell us every 15 seconds she’s on a television screen that she is a lawyer (and therefore apparently has no time for such idleness as exercise), and the new one Gina Kirschenheiter – say that three times fast, then never again.
Gina looks like the human equivalent of a Monster High Doll all grown up and out of her goth phase. Except she just died her black hair blonde and started saying “cawfee” like it’s her job. It is, actually, her job to roam around Orange County reminding them that there’s this whole other side of the US called New Yawk. Gina’s other job is raising three kids, solo, while her husband lives in LA ‘working’ (wink, wink). If only David had figured out how to make this arrangement work!
Of course, we all know that Gina and the husband who doesn’t even appear in the credits with her are getting divorced. Even though Gina swore in her finest Long Island Princesses accent that her marriage, while unconventional, worked so long as it was lubricated by plenty of mommy with wine moments, unfortunately, it was just like she said: things might look OK on the surface but behind closed doors it’s a whole ‘nother story! Except nobody, not for an instant, believed that things were fine – especially not in Orange County a land that has more 40-year-old divorcees per capita than it does botox spas.
Kelly got a double-dose of Emily this episode. Emily joined Kelly and Tamra at the nail salon where she revealed that not only was her sister a surrogate to carry her three kids but that Emily’s husband is a Mormon who doesn’t drink. Kelly doesn’t understand how a marriage can work when the partners have such different values. Emily and Shane seem OK though. I mean, they’re celebrating 9 years of marriage based on a GoogleChat proposal, and they didn’t even have sex before marriage because Shane has those pesky values and all! On the plus side, he’s independently wealthy and is a workers comp lawyer. Emily makes him work to set a good example for their kids. Also, she’s an attorney too, in case you’ve forgotten, and you know – couples who practice law together stay together!
Despite all this, plus the three little kids and the two step-kids from Shane’s first trip down nuptial row, Emily still wants another baby via surrogate so their daughter will have a sister. This seems like a Bravo-fabricated storyline, and Shane, to his credit doesn’t even entertain it for one second. I appreciate this about him. The man has values after all!
After a hiatus let us return to the travails and tribulations of Vicktim Me. Gunvalson, a woman roaming the OC in her Range Rover on an odyssey – a penultimate quest to make people believe that she was never, EVER involved in that horrible boyfriend’s cancer scam. She was scammed too! There was once upon a time that Vicki believed a greeting card was as deep as words ever needed to go, but now she’s seen the light and turned to the Bible for true wisdom. I hope it’s working out, but as Vicki herself once told us, “Saton is confusing!” (I will never let her live that down).
While Tamra and Eddie are coincidentally (wink, wink!) eating lunch, Vicki coincidentally calls Tamra to discuss how she wants to apologize to Eddie. Coincidentally she happens to be in the area and also coincidentally carrying around these Bible verses to live by in her purse, so she invites herself to stop by and talk to Eddie right then and there! The prospect is so jarring Eddie orders himself a vodka martini, then when he remembers that coincidentally that is Vicki’s drink, he realizes he’s lost both the battle and the war, especially now that Tamra is his caretaker!
So Vicki arrives, shaking and crying, and she seems truly sincere and contrite in begging for Eddie’s absolution forgiveness while explaining that not only does she understand how wrong her actions were, but that she’s learned how to be a friend. She has a minor slip-up when she tries to blame the initial rumor-mongering on how no one supported her through The Great Brooks Debacle, but with a glare from Tamra she got right back on track to share like a PBS special that words can hurt friends. Eddie, a nice person – truly – agreed to give Vicki another chance but warns that it will take time. So once Eddie successfully transforms Vicki’s ass into Tamra’s all will be fixed.
Vicki practically skips out of the restaurant, levitating with euphoria. She calls Kelly from the car to relay the good news and invite herself over for dinner. That’s when things take a SHAAAARP turn to the left. Kelly’s spiral staircase was foreshadowing!
In the hours between this conversation, Kelly learned that Vicki had set Michael, as in Kelly’s ex Michael, up with one of her friends and never told her. When Kelly confronts Vicki, Vicki insists that she simply had a BBQ which both Michael and this mystery friend attended but she had no idea they’d hit it off until she and Steve wound up on a double date with them. Twice. [side-eye]
Kelly is rightfully furious and emotional. Not that Michael is dating, but that Vicki was involved – and NEVER told her! The worst is that Vicki doesn’t feel bad about this. She actually believes she did nothing wrong because Michael should have told Kelly. As usual, Vicki is missing the point! Kelly is her friend, and, my friend, it is a strict violation of girl code to go on double dates with your friend’s ex but not even mention it to her. No. NO. NOOOO!
I think Eddie should retract his forgiveness because clearly, Vicki hasn’t learned a thing.
TELL US – WAS VICKI’S APOLOGY TO EDDIE SINCERE? SHOULD VICKI HAVE TOLD KELLY ABOUT MICHAEL?
