Thomas Ravenel Announces Departure From Southern Charm

The writing has been on the wall for a while when it comes to Thomas Ravenel’s future on Southern Charm. The original cast member is in the midst of some serious legal trouble. He did not appear on the most recent reunion episodes. The cast (and viewers) cannot stand his girlfriend Ashley Jacobs and all of the venom she spewed at Kathryn Dennis– the mother of Thomas’ two children. The deck is really stacked against him.

It also seems like the rest of the cast has pulled away from Thomas. This could mean some good drama for the next season, or it could mean the end of Thomas’ reality TV tenure. It seems like it might actually be the latter.

According to an article from Page Six, Thomas tweeted- and deleted- his resignation from Southern Charm. Apparently he claimed, “I’m not doing the show anymore. In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.”

Thomas Ravenel Claims That There Have Been A “Lot Of Lies” On Southern Charm

Did Thomas just quit the show before he could get fired? Did he actually get fired and he’s just trying to spin the story? Did he just tweet that in the heat of the moment, change his mind, and he will actually be back on Southern Charm when it returns for another season? Unfortunately there are no solid answers to any of those questions, but it does not seem like he will be back for another round.

New Episode Of Below Deck Mediterranean Tonight: More Drama Between Hannah & Joao AND Hannah, Brooke, And Kasey

Yes, Captain Sandy Yawn is actually in charge of the yacht on Below Deck Mediterranean. There is no disputing that, but there is also no disputing that this show has always come back to Hannah Ferrier. Three seasons in, she is the only original cast member who is still on the show and it’s for good reason.

Is she the best Chief Stew? Not necessarily, but she is the core of this show. Pretty much every episode involves multiple Hannah-centered story lines and tonight’s episode is no different.

According to the episode description on the Bravo website, Hannah has a lot to deal with, yet again. Is she causing the drama or is everyone else causing issues with her? That’s debatable, but she sure has a lot of drama tonight.

What can we expect? “Hannah and Joao’s [Franco] contempt for one another grows even stronger when Joao ruffles Hannah’s feathers.” Joao isn’t the only one coming for Hannah tonight. Hannah may be the Chief Stew, but she’s not impressing her subordinates- at all. During tonight’s episode, “Hannah’s leadership skills are challenged by Brooke [Laughton] and Kasey [Cohen].”

In other news, Chef Adam Glick is overwhelmed and on his own (yet again): “On the first day of charter, strong winds leave the boat stuck at the dock, and Adam must do everything in his power to keep the guests distracted with his cuisine.” Can someone help him out? They can just chop some onions or something… well, maybe not the onions, but at least something somewhat useful so he’s not feeding all of the guests and the crew on his own multiple times a day.

Joao and Brooke emerged as the “couple” from the Joao, Brooke, and Kasey love triangle, but Colin Macy-O’Toole steps up to reveal his feelings for Brooke during tonight’s episode. Is it too little too late or does he actually have a shot this late in the game?

Teen Mom 2 Recap: Reunion Part 1

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

So reunions are now the highlight of this series? Apparently, because they have amped up the drama and perhaps production is meddling behind the scenes to encourage and set up fights? I’m just not sure how I feel about this, but we all watched Teen Mom 2 last night, so let’s talk about it.

In true MTV fashion, they tease us with clips we saw last week. While last week’s episode was all a teaser for this week. Remember when this show used to be about young people navigating the trials and tribulations of parenting?

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

Dr. Drew is now co-hosting with Nessa. I’m not sure if that’s a nod to his incompetence or just a promotion for her? They tell us about how Kail and Bri were supposed to make peace but then the drama spilled into shooting. We see flashbacks and the background of producer Morgan telling Briana that they have security there to make sure everyone is safe. This is sort of a big deal because there is gossip that part of the reason Kail fired her producer, JC, is because he supposedly played a role in encouraging her to talk with Briana and it appears Morgan is planting in Bri’s head that security is around ‘just in case’. So much speculation surrounds how much meddling production did to actually encourage the fight. Anyway, we also get audio from Brittany and Jo talking. Then they announce Briana and we see the fight again. Chelsea leaves, as we saw before, but this time we get her audio that says “I’m leaving. I’m going home.” Backstage they are escorting her out as if she’s the one in the fight? Meanwhile, on stage we see Briana acting like a lunatic. Kailyn trying to get to her. And Brittany pulling Kail’s hair from behind, so hard that it jerks her head back. After that move (did Jo have his hands in his pockets the whole time?) there are three security guards on Kail while one is holding Briana. Don’t worry, the good Doctor is going to discuss the incident with the cast. Oh great, forgive me if I don’t hold my breath since he has yet to hold any one of these girls accountable for anything they’ve done on camera since 16 and Pregnant.

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

Briana DeJesus: Briana and Brittany are on set together. Briana claims that Kailyn wanted to fight earlier while off-camera. Dr. Drew obviously knows more than he’s letting on as he asks if Bri said something about her kids and keeps asking whether she crossed some line. Brittany says Briana should have never entertained the drama and asks if Javi is even worth it (with a hard J sound). She calls her out for starting the fight. It is so clear that Briana ONLY starts things when she either knows she can’t follow through with a fight or she has Brittany there to do it for her. I’m not impressed. Even less so with Dr. Drew’s excuse of addressing the issue. (No mention of the fact that Brittany actually was the only one to pull Kail’s hair and cross the line of hurting someone?)

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

After commercial, it is Briana solo. Briana is crying by the end of her highlight reel. She and Javi are done. Devoin is working. She claims that he is sleeping all day and not acting like a father. She claims he only acts like a dad for the cameras. I find it potentially believable, BUT she never gave him credit when we saw him trying (while she was having elective surgery) so I don’t know if she’s ever going to recognize any effort he makes. Stella’s dad moved to New York and does nothing but pay for her daycare. Roxanne has covered up what Bri’s dad never did. She cries a lot. There is a lot of anger that Dr. Drew wants to assign to the men. It certainly appears that patterns are repeating themselves.

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

Devoin Austin: They give Devoin his own segment so why shouldn’t we? Devoin has some fancy glasses and a bandana on. He acknowledges that Briana and her family helped him and let him move in. Apparently, they invited him to Thanksgiving last year and he felt strange about it because of Javi. Dr. Drew points out that Roxanne really seems invested in him and he acknowledges her support. He commits to wanting to be respectful with Briana (that seems like a very wise choice – far wiser than Nessa’s suggestion that they get back together!). Nova really looks like Devoin! Here’s hoping that he and Roxanne and Brittany stay on good terms and hopefully he really does take a strong role in Nova’s life. She needs a positive male role model (and maybe it will benefit Stella as well).

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

Kailyn Lowry: Kailyn’s hair and makeup are good. She is still very angry and defensive as Dr. Drew talks about the fight. Kailyn brings up the issue of Briana referring to her kids on social media. Dr. Drew seems to push Kailyn a little further, but in the end, her only regret is that she didn’t hit Brittany first. Kailyn calls Javi fake and that he manipulates situations. She also says that Javi is a love addict. She said that Javi and Briana both wanted more air time and we didn’t see things like him having another girl planned to go on the Florida trip and as soon as she was out Briana was going.

After the break, we talk custody. Kailyn isn’t thrilled about 50/50 custody with Joe but she understands it and is ok as long as he is taking Isaac to extracurriculars. She and Chris are up and down so she was surprised by the custody when he filed. Chris has four hours a week but she does have a good relationship with his mom. Kail really fell hard for Chris, the intensity of the relationship sounds pretty extreme. I don’t love the outfits, hers or Nessa’s, but I want Nessa’s lip color. Kail says she and Dom weren’t more than friends but she got pretty defensive about it so I’m not sure if I’m buying it. Kailyn does feel a responsibility to the audience which is why she came out. Dr. Drew tries to call her out for fighting with Briana and also having issues with Jenelle but he doesn’t get far.

So here’s the thing. I don’t dislike either Briana or Kailyn. But, I don’t really know if there is a side to be on with this fiasco. Some people are team Briana and others are team Kail. But really both have acted poorly. I can’t believe no one called out the fact that Briana was perfectly calm before walking on stage (and I still believe it was all an act). Why is acting like that something they want for this show? Why was production possibly encouraging it? But at the same time, Kailyn is a little too willing to fight and having issues to the point where she can’t really be around Jenelle or Briana isn’t exactly a quality to brag about. Plus they asked her about having shorts, tennis shoes, and her hair tied back for the meeting and she hesitated, which was surprising to me. People dress in comfortable clothes all the time, especially prior to being dressed up. That’s what I had assumed about her attire since it seemed like that is how she showed up to the studio. But her hesitation has me wondering if she really was planning something and that’s not ok. I thought back in the day if you ‘put hands on’ anyone during Real World or a Challenge you were automatically out? What happened to those rules MTV? Also, what storyline would these three have had if the Javi, Kailyn, Briana triangle not been a thing?

Teen Mom 2 Recap:

Barbara Evans: Barbara says that Jenelle isn’t here because David Eason couldn’t come. Jenelle has hurt her horribly. She has Jace seeing a behaviorist and he was coming back from Jenelle and David’s and punching holes in the wall and hurting Barb. Jace is getting medication but Jenelle doesn’t give it to him when he’s at her house. I can’t believe that isn’t a violation of their custody arrangement? Barb is worried about Jenelle. She has reported them to Child Services and the Sherriff, who have all been there multiple times. Jenelle lied about the road rage incident. She and David both drive around with guns and kids in the car. Barbara and Doris apparently ‘joke’ about David coming to their homes to kill them. She is afraid she is going to get a call one of these days and ‘it’s not going to be pretty.’

Honestly, this reunion makes me sick to my stomach. It’s all about fighting and hating on baby daddies and then whatever this is with Jenelle. This show is getting to the point where if it’s not embarrassing, it’s anxiety-inducing. If MTV has footage of any of the kids or animals being abused by Jenelle and David they better be producing it and putting it ahead of this show. I’m also not willing to let David be the only responsible party here. Jenelle is choosing to put her kids in that situation. She is responsible.

Denise Richards Explains Why She Joined Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills & What She Will Share On The Show

Now that Denise Richards is a confirmed cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there are so many questions. Why did she decide to join the show? What is she willing to share? What will her tagline be?

The cast and crew are currently filming Season 9, so there’s no word on that tagline will be, but the actress did recently open up about her decision to return to reality TV.

In an interview with Extra, Denise explained why she decided to be a Housewife: “I went through a lot and have been really private about a lot of things, and just in a really good place right now… and thought it would be fun, so I thought why not?”

She also revealed how this all came together: “Lisa Rinna is a very good friend of mine. I just asked her about it, she just loves it and has so much fun, so I just thought it would be fun to do.”

So what is Denise willing to share with the audience? At this moment, it doesn’t seem like anything is off the table. She claimed, “I am very open when talking about certain things and what I love about the women is they’re a strong group of women with really strong opinions.”

She has no issue sharing her relationship on the show, unlike many well-seasoned Housewives. Denise revealed, “I actually have a boyfriend. He’s going to be on the show too. His name is Aaron [Phypers] and he’s a great guy. He is game for being part of it.”

She is OK with her three daughters being on the show, but only if they’re genuinely interested. Denise shared, “I told them if they want to, they can. If they don’t, it’s up to them. I don’t ever want to pressure.”

And there’s that major elephant in the room: Denise’s infamous ex-husband Charlie Sheen. He’s going to be mentioned no matter what. Whether it’s on the show or by the fans on social media, he will be a topic of conversation at some point next season. Denise remarked, “I think anyone that’s gone through a divorce… or has a partner that they’re no longer with and there’s kids, there’s a lot of emotions. I think people will be able to also relate. It’s not always gonna be rainbows, cupcakes, and ice cream all the time. That’s alright.” Maybe Charlie will appear on the show? Or she will have a speaker phone conversation with him while she’s en route to Lisa Rinna’s house? Now, that is something that people would want to see.

Aside from that interview, the only other comment that Denise has made so far is in response to a tweet from Andy Cohen. The king of Bravo wrote, “Very excited to welcome @DENISE_RICHARDS to #RHOBH – this is gonna be GREAT.” Denise replied with “Thank you!! Thrilled to be part of this wild journey.” Let’s see if she still feels that way once the season wraps, the episodes start airing, and she gets feedback from the fans.

Dorinda Medley Describes RHONY Season 10 Reunion As “Very Emotional”; Shares Where She Stands With Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, & Sonja Morgan

Unfortunately, all good things really do come to an end. Season 10 of Real Housewives of New York is almost over. The finale episode is on Wednesday and then we just have the reunion episodes sans Luann de Lesseps– who was in rehab at the time of filming.

They finally got the cast right on this show. There is absolutely no filler. Every single one of these women has some sort of intra-cast conflict. Dorinda Medley got into it with Sonja Morgan over a family crest on shoe after having a heated debate about divorce vs. the death of a spouse. Luann came at Dorinda after seasons of Dorinda defending her relationship with Tom D’Agostino. And then there’s some sort of beef with Bethenny Frankel that even Dorinda doesn’t seem to comprehend. Needless to say, there was a lot to discuss at the Season 10 reunion taping, even with Luann’s absence. How many episodes will it end up being?

Dorinda reflected on Season 10 of RHONY during a recent episode of the Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino podcast. Danny Pellegrino asked Dorinda, “As the season is winding down, do you feel a sense of relief?”

The New York Housewife admitted, “I think you always feel that when it comes to an end. You know it’s a long season.” She elaborated, “It’s very intense. You go in there thinking one way and it always ends a totally different way. You never know the things that are gonna happen.”

After such an “intense” season, filming the reunion had to be difficult. Dorinda described the reunion by saying, “I think that it was very emotional and… there was a tenseness about it. I was physically exhausted when it was over. I actually felt like I went to work out afterwards. My body hurt.” Dorinda added, “In the old days I would have gone to the reunion and went out afterwards and slept all day. Instead, I went to dinner, went home, and I was back in the gym the morning.” Not only that, but it’s probably tough to turn up immediately after the news that a costar returned to rehab.

Dorinda Medley Says Luann de Lesseps Wasn’t In A Position To Lecture Her About Drinking; Wants Jill Zarin & Jules Wainstein Back On RHONY

Getting into specific cast dynamics, Danny told Dorinda, “You and Bethenny seem to be on kind of a rough track this season. How are you guys now?” Dorinda seemed pretty surprised by his assessment since she answered, “You think we are? I don’t see that. I mean I’ve never had an argument with Bethenny.” She insisted, “I’m perfectly fine. We don’t even have an argument. I don’t even say a bad word if you look at all my confessionals.”

And of course, a conversation about Bethenny automatically leads to a conversation about her close-friend-turned-rival Carole Radziwill. Even though it’s obvious that Dorinda is closer with Carole these days, she still insisted, “I’m not a ‘team’ anything. I have different friendships and unique friendships with each girl. I have a lot of one-on-one.”

Dorinda explained, “I started hanging out a little bit more with Carole. She started hanging out a little bit more with Sonja. That just happens in the seasons. The relationships shift all around.” And they really did this season. Bethenny and Carole went from not having one on-camera fight to shading each other episode after episode this season.

Dorinda continued, “I hate to be this person, but I don’t like to comment on other peoples relationships. It’s really between them. I think it’s something that they just have to sort out and deal with. I don’t like to be stuck in between other people’s relationships. I mean I have enough going on with my own relationships.” She also pointed out, “Remember they were very, very, very close. It’s a much deeper dynamic than even the show.” Fair enough.

Dorinda Medley gets candid about her relationship with John and more

Even though Dorinda has had her fair share of arguments this season, she doesn’t seem to have any animosity toward her costars. When she was asked about Sonja, Dorinda shared, “I saw her about a week ago and it was perfectly fine. I never understand at the end of the day why we just don’t get along. I think that she- on some level- feels the same way.” She confessed, “Sonja and I trigger for each other and I can’t figure it out.”

There has been tension between Dorinda and Sonja for a while, but no one expected Dorinda and Luann to go at it. Dorinda was a bridesmaid in Luann’s wedding and she was the only current cast member even invited. She has always gone to bat for the former countess… until this season when they started arguing with each other.

Dorinda said, “I’ve known her for a very long time and we’ve gone through a lot together. As you saw in seasons past, I was really on her side throughout the whole Tom thing.” She downplayed the tension between them and explained, “I think people get freaked out when people take a pause from people. I think sometimes it’s helpful.” That and being contractually obligated to interact when they film this show. They will have to talk at some point in the near future when Season 11 starts filming, right?
