This week’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta featured a lavish party honoring Kandi Burruss’ Essence magazine cover, but it was Cynthia Bailey’s new beau who got the most screen time. To be honest, don’t we all think that’s his goal? Fifty Cynt deserves the best, so this guy Will Jones had better be on the up and up. People don’t get as riled up as he did over a minor rumor or simple misunderstanding. He clearly got caught in a lie. Perhaps he didn’t want to go into the gory details with Cynthia if the relationship with this other chick ended badly. Maybe he didn’t think it was as serious as it appeared to newbie Eva Marcille. In any event, his reaction would have me more concerned about whether he’s boyfriend material as opposed to whether he may have been seeing someone when he first met Cynthia. Am I right?
But, I digress (shocking, I know!). This post isn’t about Will Jones. It’s about the most underrated RHOA character and his amazing ability to throw shade. Don Juan was on point with dig at Porsha Williams. She needs to quit pretending like she had no involvement in those horrific allegations against Kandi and give the woman some space. She is forcing the issue, and it is only making things more awkward. Thankfully, it’s Don Juan to the rescue!
Speaking to Bravo, Kandi shares that didn’t mind Don Juan initiating the “shade shields” (classic). He was just being a loyal friend. She tells the site, “I didn’t think anything of it. The things Porsha said about me could have ruined my career and affected my businesses had the truth never come out. With that being said, everything she said trying to tear me down also can harm the people that work with me,” adding, “Don Juan doesn’t care for Porsha, and he has every reason not to. It’s a trickle down effect.” The lady makes some very valid points.
She asserts, “Everybody is acting as if what Porsha did wasn’t a big deal. Meanwhile we’re seeing stories of people that get accused of sexual assault (drugging someone for sex is sexual assault) lose their jobs, companies, careers etc. The people who work for them are losing as well because of their actions. Now that is understandable if the person accused actually did those things, but if they’re in jeopardy of losing it all because some chick chose to spread a bullsh– lie, then that’s horrible.”
Kandi continues, “If the worst thing a girl who spread that type of false rumor receives is some shade, I don’t think it’s a big deal. Bitch, get over it. The same way you expect me to get over the lies that you spread. There are real victims out here in the world who have been drugged for sex. I do not take what happened last year lightly, and neither does my team. Will we eventually get over it? Yes, hopefully, but over time. Nobody can understand how I feel unless you’ve been falsely accused of sexual assault before.”
Focusing on the event itself, Kandi describes walking into the reveal party as “amazing.” She gushes, “I LOVE Essence magazine, and to grace the cover is truly an honor,” further stating she got emotional during her speech, “because I accomplished a dream of mine that I had for a long time.”
Finally, Kandi admits she didn’t give much thought to the Will’s parking lot drama with Cynthia and her friends. When asked her opinion on the girlfriend rumor, she simply responds, “I wasn’t surprised.” If there is one thing the ladies of RHOA know, it’s shade. Don Juan too!

A few weeks ago, we were treated to our first glance at the Big Brother Celebrity Edition house. It had glitz, glamour, and gold. As Celebrity Big Brother inches closer to its premiere (only 6 days away!), CBS treated us to an even better look at the new Big Brother mansion.
Host Julie Chen walked along the Celebrity Big Brother house to show us each room. First she pointed out that there would be three bedrooms, and enough beds for everyone to have their own. Bedroom 1 is the beautiful, mint Tiffany’s-esque room. In Julie’s tour, we see that besides shoes and handbags, it also has some jewelry in it. This creates a very old Hollywood vibe.
Old Hollywood is one of the major themes for the home. There is a speakeasy room that also has pictures of Hollywood legends on it. In the hallway, there is a 1955 Porsche hanging on the walls. The CBS Big Brother page notes that this is a real car, just missing an engine. After the season, it will go back to the creator, and then get an engine added to make it a functioning car.
Room 2 is all about the red carpet treatment. The carpet in the room looks like a red carpet, and the room is black, white, red, with a few gold accents. The black and white is supposed to make you think of a man’s tuxedo. They really went all in on the Hollywood themes.
The final room has famous Los Angeles landmarks painted on the walls. The comforters have famous LA streets. The HOH room is cabana themed, with two queen beds pushed together to make it the biggest bed in Big Brother history, and there are plenty of lounge couches for guest.
The biggest change to the house is the small additions made. For example, the backyard is a lot smaller, so that the construction crew has enough time to build and unbuild competition stages. In the small backyard, there is a jacuzzi, a fire pit, and some lounge chairs.
Some of the things we’re used to seeing in the backyard have been moved into the house. The chessboard has been revamped and moved to the speakeasy along with Chinese checkers, which has been added to the house. The backyard pool table has been moved to the upstairs area where the chessboard used to be.
The bathroom looks like a spa, and now there are actually walls dividing the two showers. The Den of Temptations room has become a 24/7 gym, and the kitchen has been fully remodeled. The comedian took to Twitter to talk about his hopes for a third season of The Comeback, Lisa Kudrow's HBO comedy about a Valerie Cherish, sitcom actress who...Jill Zarin has been mourning the passing of her beloved husband, Bobby Zarin, after losing him to cancer last month. But the former Real Housewives Of New York cast member seems to have an ulterior motive when it comes to staying in the media spotlight: She wants to get back on the show, and she wants it badly.
A source close to Jill reports that she is upset about Bravo featuring her on the series, but not offering her a contract. “Jill’s grown tired of making cameo appearances on the show without being offered an actual job,” according to mysterious “sources.”
After allowing Bravo cameras to film outside of her late husband’s memorial service in January, Jill came under fire. Some wondered why she’d use such an intimate, sad moment as an opportunity for press. Others speculated that Jill wanted to film a reconciliation scene with former arch-nemesis, Bethenny Frankel, as an entry point back into the show.
It seems like the latter assumption may have a more than a bit of truth to it, because now Jill is allegedly trying to drum up support for a return to the franchise that made her famous. “While Jill’s made the occasional appearances, we’re told that friends feel like the network is getting her for free without intending to make an offer — while Bravo uses the drama of her life but does not make her a cast member,” reports Page Six.
After Jill was heavily scrutinized for allowing (and some say inviting) Bravo cameras to film outside Bobby’s memorial, she staunchly defended the move. She told Page Six, “This was all about memorializing Bobby — [there was] no drama. It’s very sad for all. He was an important part of the show and a great friend to many who appeared on it.”
But the photos that intrigued the public most were of Jill and Bethenny tearfully hugging on the sidewalk in what appears to be a “making amends” scene outside of Bobby’s memorial service – a scene that will definitely be played up on this season’s show. Bethenny had chartered a plane from Aspen to fly to her former-enemy’s side after she heard about Bobby’s death. Jill’s friends told the press that Bobby “would be happy to know that the occasion brought the onetime old friends-turned-nemeses back together.”

Although there might not have been drama on that sad day, Jill seems to be creating it yet again in the press. She’s crying foul about her paltry appearance on last season’s RHONY, claiming that she was featured heavily in the trailers for the season, but only edited into one scene. A source argues that it’s not about the money for Jill; it’s about respect: “To keep [having] her come on the show without any long-term offer — it feels disrespectful.”
So, was the memorial service filming all about a move to get back on the show? Sigh. As most viewers know, Jill has grown quite tired of being left on the Housewives scrap heap. Her friends claim that Jill would be happy with any role on the show – even if it isn’t full time!
They argue, “Jill doesn’t want to be a full-time member of the cast — she’s still dealing with losing Bobby. But the show means a lot to her, and it would be nice if they asked her to come back.”

Everyone and everything on this season’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is getting on my last nerve except for Kyle Richards…which has me wondering if I’m suffering from some horrible disorder. When ol’ Splits McGee is the lady I’m vying to befriend, you know it’s bad! I’m enjoying Erika Girardi and am glad to see she’s burying the hatchet with Dorit Kemsley. However, Dorit (and her accent) is condescending and painful, so there’s that. The verdict is still out as to my opinion on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, but Dorit’s treatment of this woman at every turn has me at least sympathetic. Also, am I the only one who loves Vanderpump Rules Lisa but is indifferent towards RHOBH Lisa V? What is my problem this season? Do I need Bravo to bring back Taylor Armstrong?
Maybe it’s simply the lack of genuine drama that is disappointing. Are we still talking about late-gate and shaming bartenders over wine glasses champagne flutes? If your biggest worry is whether your driver will be able to navigate rush hour traffic to make it to the helipad so you can surprise your husband with a chopper ride and floating casino for his fiftieth birthday, there likely isn’t much to scream about. At least Teddi seems to have the ability to take the pettiness with a grain of salt…at the moment.
In her Bravo blog, Teddi recaps Tuesday’s show. She begins, “It’s been a few episodes since you’ve seen any horses—I’m glad we’re back in the saddle. Lisa Vanderpump inviting me to come riding with her was awesome. Even more lovely was Ken delivering us tea! I can’t even get Edwin to bring me a roll of toilet paper, so it’s a real shock to the system. During our conversation, I open up a bit about my reservations hosting things for these women, and while I would love to have them at my beach house, I just don’t want to feel uncomfortable in my own home because I don’t care about proper glass etiquette. When Lisa presses for me to spill more tea, I’d prefer to just drink mine.”
Proving that late-gate isn’t going anywhere any time soon, Teddi jokes about her double date with Kyle and Mauricio. She recalls, “I love that Kyle and Mauricio joke about being late, and as the dinner progresses I see that Kyle and I really share similar humor as well as a love for when our husbands speak Spanish! Oh, here’s the oh-so-glamorous tale of how Edwin met my father: Yes, my dad pulled up in a black SUV, and yes he had a bodyguard who jokingly manhandled Edwin, but all of this was while the smell of grease wafted through the air of the parking lot at the McDonald’s by the Indianapolis airport. And after my dad advised Edwin not to mess with his daughter, they shared a McFlurry and have been as tight as one overprotective father and his son-in-law can be. The end.”
Teddi also acknowledges the funniest snippets from the episode–Lisa Rinna reciting Teddi’s excruciating text invitation for an OC overnight and the ladies trying not to topple over on the ramp leading down to the yacht for PK’s birthday party. She writes, “Lisa Rinna’s dramatic reading of my novel/text was everything! Potluck and twin beds—these ladies are not ready!” Adding, “Also everything: the montage of us all trying to hobble down the not-even-that-steep-walkway to the boat on our various stilts. Hilarious!”
Speaking of the party, Teddi remains upbeat and self-deprecating, taking nary a poke at the hostess’ bad behavior. She asserts, “Dorit’s party for PK was amazing; I was impressed by her efforts and the love they have for each other was on full display. And major props to Dorit for singing ‘Fever!’ I would have knocked the veneers right out of my mouth. When Dorit pulled me aside, I can tell I had one too many proseccos and not enough caviar by the slight slur in my voice (so that’s three languages I mangled in one episode), and we were going to talk in circles again; that’s not the boat making you seasick, people! Thankfully, I had my trusty mouthpiece to help express what I was trying to say. I know the difference in glasses—I just don’t care.”
She concludes, “I guess I need to figure out a better way to communicate other than my RBF and elaborate eye rolls before I’m Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Bates starring in Psychos: Housewives in Glass Houses.”
You know what, I think Teddi is definitely growing on me!

Last week, the Big Brother Live Feeds correspondents for Rob Has a Podcast made a big announcement: Rob Cesternino (former two time Survivor player) will be conducting CBS’s official interviews for Celebrity Big Brother. Rob will be taking over for interviewer and host Big Brother 11 and 13’s Jeff Schroeder.
Jeff started these interviews back in Big Brother 14. Last year, he stopped them because he became a news correspondent for the Daily Blast Live. Jeff had a major role in the contestants’ Big Brother experience, as he conducted not only the intro interviews, but each player’s exit and final backyard one. During Big Brother 19, CBS used a tablet to replace Jeff: Contestants stood in front of the control room, and then read off viewer questions, and answered them before heading home or to sequester.
Big Brother 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby stepped in and did the finale backyard interviews for Big Brother 19. On Twitter, Rob confirmed that he doesn’t know yet about doing the backyard interviews for CBS. So far they have only asked him to do the introduction ones. We will have to wait to see if Will, Rob, or someone new steps in and conducts the Celebrity Big Brother finale interviews.
