Erika Jayne Reacts To Yolanda Hadid Quitting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills; Yolanda Had Secret Surgery Two Weeks Ago?

Erika Jayne was in NYC this week to host the Barefoot Wines Love Party and while she was in town she made the rounds at Sirius XM Radio.  She stopped off to chat with both Jenny McCarthy and Bullseye, dishing on everything from her marriage to Yolanda Hadid’s exit on RHOBH and reveals that Yolanda had another surgery recently.

On the Bullseye show Erika says “Of course I’m sad that she’s not coming back. That’s my friend. But, she’ll be there in spirit.” She then adds, “she may pop up from time to time. We never know who’s going to show up and that’s the beauty of it, it keeps you on your toes. You gotta be ready.”

Has she seen the ladies lately? “Yes, I had drinks with Lisa Rinna and Eileen.”  But she shares that she hasn’t seen Lisa Vanderpump at all yet.

They ask her about the way she stuck by Yolanda’s side throughout the season. Erika says “If I love you, I love you. And we’re going to go down together.” She adds, “Yolanda’s a lovely person. She’s getting stronger but she still isn’t ‘there’, you know?” Erika says it was hard because she spent a lot of time advocating for Yolanda when she wasn’t around much.”

On her favorite memories of last season Erika says that there were a lot of great moments, but Dubai sticks out as one of those once in a lifetime experiences and it was a lot of fun.  She was glad to have her glam squad along, calling them her “gay refuge” when things got overwhelming. But she says she was there to do a television show and she was there to do her job.

She reiterates that she never watched the show but she did know of the women on the show.  The interviewers were telling Erika that she NEEDS to go watch the season 1 craziness with Alison DuBois at the dinner party at Camille.  Erika admits that she’s met Faye Resnick twice and thinks she’s lovely.

Erika shares that she has no regrets over her first season on RHOBH. “Sometimes I got a little fiery when I shouldn’t have or lost my cool a little bit, but no.”

She gives Lisa props for all she’s done to support the LGBT community, “she should be commended on that.” She says there’s no battle between them over the gay community. “It’s not about control, Lisa’s been there a long time, I’ve been supporting a long time. It’s important that there’s more than one person supporting the community.”

Erika doesn’t answer when asked if she’s filming currently (because she can’t say yet, obviously), but says that if she WERE going to be filming for the next season, it’d be starting very soon…  On how she’d feel to re-enter the Housewives world, “I’ll say this: I had a great time. I had nothing bad to say. Obviously it’s done so much for me. It’s brought such a great new audience. I have nothing but great things to say.”

On the RHOBH cast sort of judging her, assuming she was “one thing” and then flipping the script on them. “I think they expected one thing and let that be a lesson to all of us to give everyone a real chance, just because you don’t like the way someone looks, doesn’t mean that there’s not someone there that you could become friends with.”

Erika says her summer will mostly be spent touring and recording music. She says she has two new songs she just finished and will be shooting another music video soon.  When asked if she’d write a book, she says “What about? What the f*** am I going to say? How to be loud and obnoxious?”

She does spill at the very end that we are definitely getting some new housewives this season.

Jenny McCarthy’s Dirty Sexy Funny

Jenny starts off asking Erika if she had any hesitations doing the show, thinking it might ruin her reputation? “No, because when I went into the show I really had nothing to lose. I hadn’t really come to that point in my career. I just showed up and all I could be was myself and there you go.”

They talk about Luann’s RHONY “Before They Were Housewives” special and Erika says she’d do one if it was pitched the right way and they wanted to show the REAL story and I could actually have some control over that, sure.”  Jenny asks her to share one thing about her past that people wouldn’t know about her. “Well, I struggled for a long time being an artist for a long time and I think that putting one foot in front of the other every day for years is tough sometimes. And then I took a ten year break and I was actively Mrs. Girardi at Tom’s side for ten or twelve years and then coming back to that is really the story.” She says Tom was absolutely supportive of her pursuing Erika Jayne again.

Erika talks about meeting Tom and how compatible they were, etc. Jenny asks how old Erika’s son was when she married Tom. She says about 4 1/2 or 5 years old. Jenny says “So your son had to move in eventually?” “Well, so my son was educated here in New York City and I was back and forth every two weeks.” Jenny says “But not as a child?” Erika replies, “Yeah, he grew up in New York City. I was living in Los Angeles, so I was back and forth and then he was with us summers, Christmas, spring break, winter break and now he lives with his mother in Los Angeles.”  Jenny says it had to be hard because as single moms it’s hard to introduce your kids to your boyfriend because if the kid doesn’t like the guy, you’re screwed. Erika says that it was no problem because Tom and her son are the same. “They’re very close and they’ve been close since my son was six years old.”

Jenny then dives into the Yolanda pool.  Jenny heard it wasn’t Yolanda’s choice to be off the show, but Erika corrects her and says it was definitely Yolanda’s choice not to return.  Erika says that Yolanda is feeling good and getting better. Jenny says that she feels Yolanda’s recovery happened awfully quickly. Erika is silent for a minute and then says “she is NOT 100%. She’s got a long way to go, she just had another surgery like two weeks ago. I don’t want to say what it is because that’s not fair for me to say.  But she’s not 100%. She’s still fighting.” She says that she just talked to her two days ago and will see her on Sunday.  I’m assuming this is her tonsil removal that Brandi Glanville shared on Watch What Happens Live.

On a new Housewife coming on to replace Yolanda, Erika says she’s not afraid of a newbie because it could be someone wonderful.

Erika gushes about Tom for a while, saying that he’s a good man and loves helping people and then reveals that she did not sign a prenup. She says they’ve been together for 18 years. She says that they never had kids together because her son was her priority and she raised him well. She also shared that Tom is a little fascinated with the Real Housewives of New York and watched it when he had some time off work for an oral surgery.

On who is the most intimidating RHOBH star: “Every one of them can be intimidating. Everybody’s different.”

Who Won Head of Household on Big Brother Tonight? 6/20/2016

Few players going into the house ever really want to be the one who won Head of Household on Big Brother the first time of the season. This immediately puts a target on your back and forces you to potentially get blood on your hands right from the beginning of the game.

In previous years, this meant that a lot of houseguests would intentionally throw the HoH competition just to stay out of the spotlight. This season, however, things were just a bit different in selecting that first HoH, and some people just didn’t have much of a choice about whether they would go for it or not.

Instead of a free-for-all competition between all of the players to determine the first Head of Household, this season all but four houseguests ended up not even allowed to compete for it. Instead, the new and veteran players were split into four teams. Then the four groups had to go through a series of challenges, and the teammates that finished last were the only ones who could compete for HOH — and to determine which one of them would be the first evicted.

At the end of the first night of the Big Brother 18 premiere, we were left with Team Freakazoids: veteran Nicole Franzel and newbies Tiffany Rousso, Corey Brooks, and Glenn Garcia with their heads on the chopping block. After one last competition against each other, one of the would end up Head of Household, and one of them would be booted out the door.

In the dual eviction/Head of Household Competition, ex-cop turned dog groomer Glenn ended up in last place and became the first person evicted on Big Brother 18. That left his teammates with the task of choosing among themselves to pick the first Head of Household.

Nicole does a masterful job of pretty much convincing Tiffany and Corey they should choose her with total reverse psychology. Like it’s a terrible burden that she will take on but that they better have her back. While secretly, of course, she really wants it badly to make sure she has all the strategy power. Tiffany and Corey go right along with it and make her the new Head of Household.

After talking with the veterans, Da’Vonne in particular, and evaluating her options, she comes up with a plan to nominate Jozea because she’s at the top of his ‘hit list’ and nominate Paulie so that he can hopefully beat Jozea in Power of Veto.

Who Got Evicted on Big Brother Tonight? 6/23/2016

Can’t wait to find out who got evicted on Big Brother tonight? We have the spoilers from the very first eviction of the season! Which one of the unlucky members of Team Freakazoids was the one who got kicked off Big Brother in just the second episode of the year? Read on to find out!

At the end of the Big Brother 18 premiere episode, veteran Nicole Franzel, and newbies Tiffany Rousso, Corey Brooks, and Glenn Garcia were each faced with a 25 percent chance they would be the first evictee of the season. The four teammates would be forced to battle it out with each other to determine not only which one would go home, but who would end up as the first Head of Household of the season.

In a preview commercial for the second night of the season 18 premiere, it looked like the final challenge before the eviction would be some sort of endurance competition. Immediately, Big Brother fans on social media started theorizing it would be Glenn who ended up losing the competition and sent packing out the door. However, it wasn’t totally clear if the comp would be endurance, or perhaps some sort of other challenge that might not be so difficult for 50-year-old Glenn.

So while the majority of fans on social media seemed to be feeling it would be Glenn who got evicted on Big Brother tonight, we weren’t counting on anything until we saw exactly how the competition went down. Sometimes it’s the most unlikely person who ends up winning a challenge and throwing off everyone’s expectations!

But alas for Glenn, all the predictions were correct and he failed the challenge and became the first houseguest to be evicted.

Big Brother 18 Recap: Who Gets Evicted First? 6/23/2016

We are always excited for the Big Brother 18 season premiere, but it’s the launch of the Live Feeds every year that we really look forward to. That happy time is finally here at last, as the Big Brother Live Feeds are set to turn on after the west coast airing of the show tonight. Meanwhile, however, we have the second half of the season 18 premiere to get through first, including our first eviction of the year!

Yes, we’ll be saying goodbye to one of the Big Brother 18 cast members before the second episode of the new season is even done. Kind of reminds me of poor Jodi Rollins from BB14. At least whichever player gets the boot tonight will have actually gotten to spend a bit more time inside the Big Brother house than she did.

When last we left our hamsters in their cage, they were all still reeling over the shock of being thrown for a loop with three big twists right out of the gate. First we had four veteran houseguests return to the game: Nicole Franzel, Frank Eudy, James Huling, and Da’Vonne Rogers. Then everyone was told they would be playing in teams this season, and were split into groups of four — each with one veteran player. After that, they were tossed right into a series of challenges to determine who would end up as the first Head of Household for the year — and which contestant would be the first to be evicted.

Following three rounds of grueling challenges, the losing group of the night ended up being Team Freakazoids: Nicole, Corey, Tiffany, and Glenn. On Big Brother tonight, the four of them will compete against each other to determine which one of the four will end up as the first Head of Household this year, and which one will be heading out the door in the first eviction.

Big Brother 18 Cast – Da’Vonne Rogers – The Loud One

Big Brother 18 cast member Da’Vonne Rogers, 28, hails from Lancaster, California and is a poker dealer.  She is one of the returning houseguests as part of the first twist and the season.  She was originally on Big Brother 17 and went out week two, finishing in sixteenth place.  She commonly goes by the nickname Momma Day.

First, we will review her profiles on the CBS website before delving into her Big Brother history.  Da’Vonne’s CBS profile for Big Brother 17 listed her profession as a poker dealer.  Being in the field of poker, one might expect she had picked up some skills regarding hiding her emotions and expressions.

However, Da’Vonne actually ended up being pretty loud and opinionated.  This was kind of ironic since she loved Rachel Reilly for being a competition beast, but said she was too emotional.  Momma Day was somewhat emotional herself – maybe not crying so much, but she was so aggressive that it ran her game.

In her BB17 profile, Da’Vonne’s life motto was listed as “Hakuna matata! We have literally only one life to live and I’m not going to spend mine stressed out and full of worries”, which sounds like she may have been ready to play the game.  Big Brother is an amazing experience and you only have one life to live, after all.  Not to mention, getting too paranoid in the Big Brother house will destroy your game.

Da’Vonne’s updated CBS profile for Big Brother 18 offers some insight into how she might fare in the game this time.  First, she describes herself as loud, hilarious and unpredictable.  Being loud in the Big Brother house does not usually bode well.  In addition, being unpredictable can cause you to blow up, be aggressive or ruin alliances.  However, being hilarious can help your social game.

She indicates that she wants to focus on her social game the first few weeks, but Da’Vonne was very upset when the premiere night competitions were based on teams.  By the time your competition game is your strategy, the teams will likely be broken up.

During Big Brother 17, Da’Vonne was a source of a lot of drama.  She called out lies and rumors and was often a part of blowups including blowing the game for a former ally.  She decided to align with Jason Roy, and then revealed to him her suspicions about the twin twist.  Unfortunately, he told the rest of the house which may have contributed to the target on her back.  This was likely because she tried to flip the house, but obviously Liz Nolan was not on her side (nor in any of her alliances) considering she uncovered her secret.

Da’Vonne had an early alliance with Shelli Poole, but got into a tiff with her showmance partner Clay Honeycutt.  Since Shelli was Head of Household, she targeted Da’Vonne and even though the BB Takeover twist worked in her favor, she was still sent packing.

I would expect a similar result for Da’Vonne this year unless she has completely changed her personality.  She is aggressive and doesn’t mind confrontation, not to mention being loud and claiming that she can ‘out talk’ anyone in the game.  In addition, the newbies are currently gunning for the returnees, which could cause her problems as well.

Big Brother 18 Cast – Nicole Franzel – The Blonde

Big Brother 18 cast member Nicole Franzel, 23, hails from Ubly, Michigan and is an emergency room nurse.  She is a returning houseguest from Big Brother 16, during which she ultimately placed seventh.  She had been evicted from the house and was able to re-enter, but she only lasted two more weeks.  She has been deemed “the blonde” only because it was strange that none were cast originally, she is really so much more than that.

Before going through the details of her Big Brother season, we will first go over some of the information from her previous cast biography on the CBS website.  Her strategy for BB16 included having a final two deal with a male to excel at physical competitions, but have other alliances on top of that.  Unlike some players who think it’s best to sleep through the first few weeks, she wanted to win the first Head of Household (HOH) in order to have the best chance to feel out the other players as they come to her for safety.

Nicole has several fears which include heights, surgery, sharks and ghosts.  She considers getting a callback from Big Brother casting to be her biggest accomplishment, but I’d think nursing school would be on the top of that list.

Her current CBS profile has some additional information.  She is a big fan of Frank Eudy, primarily because of his loyalty.  Since he is also in Big Brother 18, maybe they will team up aside from the normal veterans alliance.  Nicole describes herself as emotional and knows she needs to keep her guard up.  She also realizes that she needs to have a good social game.  Hopefully her life motto, “make the most of your situation”, will pay off.

Now let’s talk about Big Brother 16 and how she ultimately did.  First, she could have done better if she hadn’t gotten in a showmance with Hayden Voss and let her game get sidetracked.  They did end up dating for almost two years out of the house.  The picture below is from January 2016; however, she has now said in the Big Brother 18 house that she is single.

Nicole was nicknamed Fruit Loop Dingus by fellow houseguest Zach Rance who she never really found herself in an alliance with.  They were both in the top 3 for America’s Favorite Houseguest, losing to Donny Thompson.

Oddly enough, she was in an alliance during Big Brother 16 called The Weirdos and she is now on Team Freakazoid which is quite the similarity.  She is definitely quirky and cute and can fit these team descriptions, in a good way.

One of her main downfalls was that she was loyal to some weak players.  Her loyalties were to Donny Thompson, Hayden Voss, Victoria Rafaeli, and Jocasta Odom.  Given, Victoria made top three, but she floated to the final HOH.  Had she been taken to final two with Cody Calafiore, she would have lost.  Unfortunately, they were blindsided by Jocasta’s eviction and Hayden went the next week.

Nicole was overthrown as an HOH on a Battle of the Block competition and it was primarily due to rumors that Derrick Levasseur started.  He told Christine Brecht that Nicole had been planning to backdoor her even though her real target was Frankie Grande.

As mentioned before, Nicole was originally was evicted week 8, but she participated in a competition to re-enter the house where she lasted an additional two weeks.  It’s rare that this happened since the houseguests who are brought back are usually main targets.

In her CBS profile, she stated that difficulties on the show for her were being able to find an alliance she can trust and thinking the house has your back when they don’t.  These definitely ended up to be true.  She was in an alliance called The Rationale with Cody Calafiore, Derrick Levasseur, and Hayden Voss.  However, based on the above mentioned rumors of the puppet-master Derrick, he obviously couldn’t be trusted.

According to Brecht’s Twitter account, she does not plan on watching even though she’s a “Super Fan” because of Nicole (note: this is just an assumption).  Christine had quite the obsession with Cody and did not like when he talked to Nicole. Her official reason per the Tweet below is because it’s not an all-stars season.

Nicole could fare well as long as the newbies don’t take out the veterans and she doesn’t end up in a showmance that distracts her.  Her profile says that she is “flirty”, so hopefully she stays out of the showmance scene this year.  There are a lot of attractive men in the house, so we will see.

“Season 11 is off to a great start,” gushes Kelly. “I’m looking forward to sharing our experiences with you. At times you may find yourself cheering, jeering, laughing, caring, but you definitely won’t be bored.” 

Kelly, who lives in Corona del Mar at the parking lot, I mean beach, calls life a “vacation every day” – except for when her marriage to Michael has gone through some “very rocky times.” 

Today Kelly’s marriage appears to be in a good place. “Our commitment to family, faith and forgiveness keeps us our love strong.” 

Kelly also lives with her mother and brother Eric, and admits that it’s sometimes frustrating, but worth it. “We all love each other and make each other laugh. Our house is always a hub of activity with friends dropping by to share the sunset and a few glasses of wine.”

Moving on to imperative matters like those bitches she’s on a TV show with, Kelly has nothin’ but love for Meghan – so far! Meghan and Kelly bonded over IVF, and presumably being married to much-older men who are chronically annoyed with them? 

“I have known Meghan for a while and she has been a good friend throughout,” says Kelly. “I am thankful that she introduced me to her circus of friends.” Subtext: Thank God I coincidentally decided to become friends with this bitch who’s on a TV show and convinced her to introduce me to producers! 

So what did Kelly think of those circus performers? “It didn’t take long for me to sense the chemistry I have with each of the ladies. My brash mouth and sarcastic, sophomoric humor isn’t for everyone. Tamra, Vicki and Meghan laughed at my ‘Kellyisms’. Shannon not so much. Actually, not at all. Oh well. Hopefully, she’ll lighten up.” 

“Heather is a gracious hostess and made us feel welcomed from the start. She definitely knows how to throw a party.” Kelly also related to Heather and Terry’s health scare. “We’ve had a similar experience with Michael,” she writes. “His family has a history of ARVC (Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy), which is a genetic condition where the heart tissue hardens and becomes fibrous.” 

The person Kelly bonded with the most, was undoubtedly Vicki. “When Vicki entered the party, the tension was palpable,” she writes. “It didn’t seem to upset Vicki too much though. She handled herself with grace and dignity.” Grace and dignity are never words I would choose to describe Vicki ‘On The Cross With Brooks’ Gunvalson! 

“Vicki and I hit it off immediately,” declares Kelly. “She is sweet, considerate and funny.” 

Oh dear… Personally, I’m not crazy about Kelly – so far. I’m hoping she’ll settle down a bit more after she gets her ‘camera legs’ and doesn’t try so hard, but my immediate reaction was Just No. Which means she’ll still be a cast member on RHOC season 20.
