Why Jesse Palmer Is a Better Host Than Chris Harrison

Jesse Palmer first took a stab at hosting The Bachelor during Season 26, led by Clayton Echard. Shortly after, Jesse was invited to return and host The Bachelorette Season 20, led by Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. Bachelor Nation fans were not surprised when Jesse was selected yet again to host Bachelor In Paradise Season 8. It basically confirmed him as Chris Harrison‘s official replacement.

Chris stepped down from the role which he held for 19 years, after he defended a racially offensive post from The Bachelor Season 25 contestant, Rachael Kirkconnell. Former Bachelorette leads Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams stepped in to host The Bachelorette Seasons 17 and 18. However, they were not asked to return. Furthermore, Wells Adams briefly served as the host of Bachelor In Paradise Season 7, along with several other celebrity guest hosts.

Since Jesse has been chosen to host all three spin-offs, it is clear that the franchise sees a lot of potential in his hosting abilities. Jesse has already proven himself to be a much better Bachelor host than Chris, in numerous different ways.

Jesse Can Relate To The Leads More

A key factor that makes Jesse an excellent host is his close relationship to the franchise, since he was the lead of The Bachelor Season 5. While Jesse’s relationship from his season did not last, he can still relate to the leads when it comes to many things. Chris, on the other hand, was never the lead of the show, and was not as personable with the leads as Jesse.

During his first season hosting, Jesse never failed to be there for Clayton, who had a difficult time navigating the process. Jesse even took the time to sit down with Clayton and his family in Iceland, to discuss everything that was going on in his journey. Furthermore, Jesse was also a strong supporter for Gabby and Rachel. He helped them to navigate the first season ever with two leads.

Jesse Is Ready To Have Serious Conversations

Jesse has also proven himself to be a great and well rounded host by not hesitating to have serious conversations, such as discussions about race. After racially insensitive comments made by The Bachelor Season 27 contestant Greer Blitzer resurfaced on social media, Jesse did not hesitate to address the situation.

The former Bachelor was more than willing to have a conversation with Greer on the matter at the Women Tell All, where she apologized. Jesse acknowledged that the franchise had previously done a poor job addressing such important topics. He expressed that he would like to change that. Chris, on the other hand, stepped down from his role after failing to address these topics as gracefully as Jesse.

Jesse Is Just More Fun

While Chris was adored by many fans for years, you can’t deny he was a bit dull at times. This was part of his charm—Chris was always there but never made too much noise. However, a franchise like The Bachelor needs a host who is a bit more extroverted and fun, since they are an important part of every season. This is why Jesse is so refreshing. It’s clear he has a ton of fun with his new job.

Jesse has been particularly entertaining on Charity Lawson‘s season of The Bachelorette. On this season, he has been airing out his goofy side. After Charity’s group of men traveled to an area of Washington that has reported the most Bigfoot sightings, Jesse took it upon himself to dress up as Bigfoot and run around the woods for laughs.

Furthermore, Jesse poked harmless fun at controversial contestant Brayden Bowers all season, which many fans were happy to see. For instance, Jesse roasted Brayden’s unusual fashion choices including scarves and dangle earrings—but all in good fun of course!

While Jesse has certainly received some criticism, it cannot be said that he has been a poor host. Many Bachelor Nation fans were attached to Chris and did not want to see him leave. However, it was just time for someone new. Jesse has done a great job hosting the few seasons that he already has, and will hopefully continue to do so in the future!

The Most Jaw Dropping Bravo Reunion Looks

Most shows on Bravo are known for their drama and their fashion choices between cast members. The Real Housewives franchise has always brought the heat regarding tell-all style, as well as the young cast of Vanderpump Rules. While other shows, like Summer House, have kept it quite casual, the cast of Southern Charm has sometimes dressed like they were attending a debutant ball.  

Some of the garment choices are chosen with the help of a professional stylist, while other Bravo personalities wear what makes them feel good. Either way, there has been some great Bravo reunion looks over the years, and as the budget has grown for each series, so has the cast’s risky choices.

But when a star hits a home run with an outfit choice, they will know about it due to the positive feedback on social media. 

Ariana Madix

With a broken heart, Ariana Madix from Vanderpump Rules had no other choice but to find the perfect revenge dress for the Season 10 reunion special. The bartender wowed in a red gown that had cutouts along the torso. Ariana kept her composure and let the dress do the talking as her ex, Tom Sandoval, looked on in utter astonishment. 

Ariana went for the dramatic look as she styled her blonde hair, pin straight, and kept her nails coffin-shaped and painted red. The funny thing is that Ariana wasn’t actually wearing a dress, but rather a cropped jacket and long skirt made by MONOT. The jacket will set you back $995, while the skirt was a bit less, at only $795. But let’s be honest; you can’t put a price on looking hot in front of an ex who did you wrong. Overall it was one of the best Bravo reunion looks of all time.

Teresa Giudice

You may have to put your thinking caps on to transport yourself back to the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 4 reunion, where Teresa Giudice wore a green embellished gown. While the color and cut were everything on the mother of four, it didn’t make sense to fans why Bravo producers put Jacqueline Laurita in red, as if they were about to film a holiday special. 

Unlike some other reunion years, Teresa chose to keep her look simple and classy during the Season 4 reunion, as the plunging neckline of the green dress accentuated her small frame. There were also beads attached to the flare bottom, which practically made the OG of RHONJ look as if she was floating on air. While this past season’s tell-all look had her shining in gold and looking like a Met Gala attendee, we would be amiss not to mention the green gown for old time’s sake.

Melissa Gorga came in with the eye of the tiger during the Season 13 reunion, as she wanted to make it clear she wouldn’t be sitting back and taking Teresa’s guff. The long blue ball gown came with a hood that made her out to be a fierce fighter about to step into the ring.

The mother of three made sure to turn heads in the royal blue sequined mermaid-style gown with a deep plunging neckline. While Melissa has always had stunning taste, she really outdid herself with this frock. 

The Summer House Cast

The entire Summer House cast of Season 7 earned a place on this list, since they all chose to embrace the Hamptons vibe and wear beach-chic outfits. The stars are no strangers to embracing a good theme, as fans watched Kyle Cooke celebrate his 40th with a cowboy theme this season.

While chatting on the tell-all, Paige DeSorbo wore a custom Kate March pink dress. All of the men wore extremely tailored pastel suits. And Lindsay Hubbard stole the show with her disco-themed New Arrivals from Neiman Marcus dress, giving an I Will Survive vibe after a turbulent season.

Before our list ended, we had to include Kyle Richards of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as the OG has always been on point regarding her reunion dress choices. Honestly, after taking a look back over the years, we are not sure that Kyle has ever had a bad look, but Season 12’s pink dress really wowed viewers.

This time, Kyle chose a rose gold holographic dress featuring shoulder pads, buckles, and an asymmetrical hemline. While our list could go on and on, these trendsetters are always giving “I want that outfit” energy, with viewers dying to see what each star will wear next.

Biggest Bombshells From Rachel Leviss’ Interview With Bethenny Frankel Part 3

Finally, Vanderpump Rules fans have come to the end of this epic interview journey. It honestly didn’t feel too far off from Frodo venturing to Mordor to destroy the one ring to rule them all. Bethenny Frankel‘s podcast interview with Rachel Leviss has very much felt like one of those endless journeys across Middle Earth, except pretend the setting is Bravo and the villain is Bethenny’s ability to pretend to care. Okay, enough with the nerding out. Let’s jump right into the biggest bombshells from Rachel Leviss’ Bethenny Frankel interview part 3. 

The Pill Bottle Incident

Bethenny returned to the topic of the Season 10 reunion, touching on the pill bottle that was thrown. “I read that Andy said to Variety Magazine that he thought you were medicated, insinuating you were on prescription drugs,” Bethenny said.

Rachel took a breath and then shared, “Um, well, I am medicated. I’ve been on antidepressants for several years now. But to say that I must be heavily medicated because my behavior was erratic or I didn’t have emotions is not okay.”

Rachel added that she thinks the king of Bravo violated HIPAA with the comments noting. “To make assumptions like that is damaging to a person,” she said. “An employer cannot say that an employee is medicated, whether true or speculation.”

Bethenny was quick to jump in. She added that she doesn’t believe “viewers digested” what was said, as it has become the norm. Bethenny also added that she wasn’t sure where the line was crossed. However, her reactions read as if she was trying to drive the point home that Bravo is a toxic workplace. 

Mental Health Support

After comparing reality TV stars to “animals in a zoo,” Bethenny asked if anyone advocated for Rachel’s mental health on set. Rachel opened up, saying, “It was promised that I would have a mental health advocate in my trailer as I watched the first two parts and behind the scenes just in case, and that was taken away from me the night/day before the reunion. I feel it was a punishment because I did this—this paparazzi guy found me waiting to do my nails, and I answered some of his questions. I didn’t give away anything the reunion would touch on. I think the network saw that and, I don’t know,  got angry and disappointed and punished me by taking away my mental health advocate.”

Rachel shared an interesting theory after the network refused to pay for her tuition to the mental health facility. She felt if Bravo paid, they would be admitting they allowed her to be hurt. Bethenny piped up, saying, “If you pay, then you’re culpable.” 

When asked about the cast, Rachel acknowledged that she feels the cast is doing their job. However, Rachel also talked about the girl’s trip to Lake Tahoe. She said it was “very traumatic” and that she drank to cope with the anxiety of being around the girls.

Rachel explained, “The following day, Kristina Kelly and Lala Kent came into my room and said, ‘Omg Raquel, that was amazing. Last night was reality TV rating goals. So funny, you did it, you’re the best!’ Then on camera, ‘Raquel, how could you.’ So that was a mind fu*k.” Rachel conceded that it was their job to make ratings and create content for viewers. However, she argued the concept “is sick.”

Rachel Has Regrets

Naturally, Rachel “regrets a lot; I would do everything differently. I really want to acknowledge that a lot of people were believing in me, and I feel like I was a disappointment. I know there was a lot of trust broken between friendships and betrayal that happened. I look back at my actions, and I’m disappointed. That’s not the person I want to be; I wasn’t happy, I was really hurting. I don’t ever want to be in a place like that, and I will make sure I’m not.”

For Rachel, there has been a silver lining—being able to learn about herself and give herself forgiveness. Rachel still hopes to broaden her perspective on the things she’s experienced through this. The former beauty pageant contests conceded that she “needed to get caught; otherwise, it would have just continued. And that’s not who I want to be.” 

When asked if she would return to reality TV, Rachel laughed and said, “HELL NO. I refuse to not respect myself on that level where I would endorse that emotional abuse.” Rachel admitted that she considered returning for Season 11, saying, “Yeah, of course. Other people are more important on the cast than I am, so I don’t think I would get a redemption arch.” 

Surprisingly, Rachel says she “asked for equal pay with Tom and Ariana as well as reimbursing me for my expenses, but they refused to pay me equally, and I was considering coming back if they would have paid me. I feel pay shows how you value your employees. It’s impossible to not know how well the show is doing. Scandoval is the most sensationalized pop culture story.”

As for if she speaks to any of her former friends or cast members, Rachel laid it all on the line. She revealed she has shut the door forever. “I have a no-contact policy with every single cast member,” Rachel claimed.
