Southern Charm Recap: Forest Grump

I have to say, I am enjoying this season of Southern Charm for no other reason than the lacking drama. It’s kind of nice when everyone gets along…for the most part, at least! Of course, with this crew, there are always whispers of underlying messiness. After Patricia Altschul and Whitney Sudler-Smith tried to set up Landon Clements and Thomas Ravenel at a small dinner party last week, I received an e-mail from a friend who saw the duo grabbing coffee at Starbucks this past Sunday (or as the rest of the world called it, Mother’s Day) with Kensie. Who knows if this intel is true, but if so, it’s a doozy! Maybe their budding romance isn’t just a story line? (or maybe it is?) That said, friends can have coffee together whenever they damn well please, but what a not-so-subtle burn to Kathryn Dennis if it’s accurate. Or perhaps she knows and everyone is getting along now?? Sure.

The most recent episode begins with everyone getting ready for another beautiful day in the Holy City. Kathryn heads to JD and Elizabeth’s house to catch up, and the trio discusses Jennifer Snowden’s sip-and-see. Kathryn can’t believe that Thomas was invited and she wasn’t, especially given that, according to Kathryn, Jennifer slept with T-Rav while Kathryn was pregnant. She definitely should have been included in the afternoon. Um, does she remember her lunch with Jennifer? Elizabeth skirts the issue, focusing on adorable Kensie, but JD rationalizes that it’s difficult to accommodate both at a party given their tumultuous past. As godparents, JD and Elizabeth want to see the couple co-parenting, and JD gives the same advice to Kathryn as he’s given to T-Rav. Just be civil for the children. Kathryn reveals that she has received a text message from Thomas, which is the first communication she’s had from him in over nine months. However, she’s not sure she’s ready to respond.

On day five of his sobriety, Shep Rose jogs over to Ms. Pat’s compound, and Whitney tries to spike his friend’s water with some morning vodka. He’s so supportive. Shep wants to get the gang together for a hunting trip outside of Savannah, and they giggle about Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo’s imploding relationship. Shep jokes that he rarely talks to Craig and only keeps up with Naomie these days. However, he recognizes that Naomie has a fiduciary duty not to talk too much smack about her boyfriend…fiduciary with an emphasis on douche, obviously. Speaking of, things are still tense at Craig and Naomie’s house as she attempts to rehash their weekend argument. An increasingly stubborn Craig refuses to admit that Naomie left him because he was running late. He also won’t apologize for speaking so horribly to her. Craig may need to focus less on embroidery and more on communication skills. Naomie suggests couple’s counseling, and Craig is mildly receptive. She tells him she hopes to get out of class early on Friday so she can accompany him on the hunting trip. Shooting things is very therapeutic. Craig hopes that they can present a united front to their friends. He’s embarrassed that Naomie aired their dirty laundry to their friends. Craig needs to stop acting like someone peed in his Cheerios. Put on your big boy panties, Craig! You are out punting your coverage with this girl, and she’s definitely a keeper.

Because no hunting expedition is complete without a fashion show, Shep, Whitney, and Austen Kroll head to an upscale men’s clothier to outfit themselves for the weekend. Shep scoffs when he receives a call from Craig who is buying his gear at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The shame! Over conversations about snake boots, Shep ribs Austen about the status of his relationship with Chelsea. Austen is less than forthcoming with information due to Shep’s obvious jealousy, and Shep jokes that the couple must be getting cold feet. He then decides to push a hook-up between Austen and Landon. Whitney jumps on the bandwagon, purely because he enjoys pot stirring. He’s just not keen on eating their kills. Whitney prefers the Whole Foods hot bar.

Across town, Landon and Patricia enjoy bourbon slushies as Pat delves into Landon’s feelings for T-Rav. She giggles like a middle schooler as Pat ticks off Thomas’ credentials. “It takes money, honey,” she reminds Landon. Landon nods enthusiastically…lots of money! Landon is disappointed that Thomas can’t join the group on the weekend getaway. He’s not allowed to be around guns because, you know, he’s a felon. That’s a tiny red flag, right? Patricia reminds Landon that all grown-ups have baggage. She encourages her protege to be a risk taker. She needs an equal in education, class, and status–baby mama drama be damned!

The charmers are exercising their second amendment rights as they head to Georgia in two separate cars. Cameran Eubanks is chauffeuring Whitney and Shep, and Shep is really trying to sell an Austen/Landon romance. Austen and Chelsea are so over in his mind. Whitney and Cameran cry jealousy, and in Chelsea’s car, she’s flirting with Austen like it’s her job. At the cabin, Shep is channeling his inner huntsman as Cameran looks forward to fishing. It’s less dangerous for her given a recent shooting accident. Whitney is dressed in Paddington Bear’s finest hunting gear as Landon teases Craig for buying snake boots at Wal-Mart on the way. As much as I hate to agree with his friends, Craig does look like he should be picking up trash on the side of the highway with the rest of the inmates. Everyone but Cameran and Elizabeth heads out with their guides. It’s Austen’s first hunt, and while he’s far from a jacked up truck and a cheek full of dip, Chelsea is proud of his inner redneck. He’s putting quail on the table. On the other hand, Craig is definitely more sewing machine and less rifle.

When Naomie arrives, she dishes on her attempt to smooth things over with Craig. Likewise, Craig is giving his skewed version of events to the gun slingers. The majority of the crew convenes for appetizers, but Austen and Chelsea are suspiciously missing in action. As Landon teases about the pair’s budding romance, Shep decides now is the perfect time to break his sober streak. He is a little weary of the budding couple sharing a cabin to themselves. The crew heads to the main lodge to dine on their afternoon’s loot, and the lovebirds trickle in soon after. Thomas rides JD and Elizabeth coattails into dinner, and Landon decides she needs to play hard to get with Thomas in light of Pat’s matchmaking scheme. Landon flirts with Austen like her life depends on it in hopes of making T-Rav jealous, and it fuels Shep’s notion that Austen will change his tune as far as Chelsea is concerned. Both Chelsea and Thomas definitely take note.

As Thomas regales the table with stories of his children, Landon quickly changes her focus. Elizabeth and JD share their conversation with Catherine and urged the group to give her another chance. She’s not going to become a different person overnight, but they sincerely think she’s trying. If Landon could roll her eyes any harder they would fall out of her head. Likewise, Cameran is beyond skeptical.

The dinner quickly escalates to wasted debauchery, so Austin and Chelsea retire early…but not before Whitney makes a crude joke at Austen’s expense.

The following morning, everyone rises and shines before making the trek back to Charleston. However Austen and Chelsea are nowhere to be found, and a torrid bra shot (how scandalous!) hints that the duo may have gotten even closer. Basking in the morning after, Austen admits to a strong dose of puppy love. Chelsea finds his admission adorable, but she reminds him that while she likes him, she also likes her independence. Maybe she’s more Shep than I thought!

Southern Charm Exclusive: After Months Of False Accusations, Kathryn Dennis Shares All Drug Test Results Since Rehab

Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis has obviously had the worst possible year ever, with her break up with co-star Thomas Ravenel, and her failed drug test that took place one year ago, but what has made it worse is all of the rumors that since she returned from rehab in Malibu just before Labor Day that insist she has failed drug tests. Up until now Kathryn took her tests each week, and every month, and passed, and results were sent to the court, and those involved in the case had access. She has gone as far as to also purchase a breathalyzer to prove that she has also been avoiding alcohol.

But Kathryn has had to learn a tough lesson, which is that there are some people out there who will make things up, whether it’s to be hurtful, or just for attention (or maybe because they were not asked to return to Southern Charm this season). Either way, Kathryn has spent months turning the other cheek, and not responding on advice of counsel.

“Making sure that my tests are absolutely clean each month is the most important thing I have ever done,” Kathryn says. “That is the only way I can get shared custody of Kensie and Saint, and that is what I am doing.”

 

Kathryn Dennis hair test, which covers months of testing, marked PASSED

But today, Kathryn’s lawyers gave her permission to release all of her tests, hair and urine, from when she returned from rehab until now, exclusively to Reality Tea. The details in the forms are highly personal, and include details like her social security number, her address, and her private medical files, which are truly nobody’s business.

People are going to believe what they are going to believe, but I now have access to all of Kathryn’s tests (verified by a third party) and she has passed all of them, urine and hair. On the urine tests, someone was in the room with her each time she gave a sample, and for her hair, the hairs were pulled from her head by an official.

And the tests are incredibly detailed, and cover three pages worth of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates, PCP, LSD, and more. While different substances are metabolized in urine faster, usually within a month, most of these drugs can be found in hair for many months. Kathryn’s hair and urine tests were clear of all pharmaceuticals with the exception of those prescription drugs she takes for an unrelated medical condition, that her doctor and the court says have nothing to do with illicit substances.

Each month when Kathryn does a hair test, and each week when she does a urine tests, the results are sent directly to the lawyers, and to the court, and each time, Kathryn has passed. She has also agreed to continue to share the results, and she vows she will continue to pass.

“Hearing the rumors, that I was seen here or there, that I was high, or in the company of drug dealers, it’s all ridiculous and it’s all lies.”

Kathryn says that after she returned from rehab, she cut off all ties with anyone who could might even seem suspect. But seeing as Kathryn and her legal team can prove that she has passed each and every drug test since she returned from rehab, those who have  accused her of using in print might have some problems of a legal variety.

It is no secret that Kathryn and Jennifer Snowden no longer are friends, and just last month, Jennifer put out a statement, pretty much accusing Kathryn of continuing to use drugs. As a result of a Reality Tea article last month, Jennifer Snowden responded, saying that Kathryn was still using illegal drugs. “KD you seriously need 2 lay off the drugs. How much were you paid to make this up? Desperate sicko.”

Tonight On Southern Charm & Southern Charm Savannah: Co-Parenting, Strip Golf and More!

It’s Southern Charm night once again! We have new episodes of the original series as well as the new Southern Charm Savannah!

Tonight we’ll see Thomas Ravenel’s friend JD trying to facilitate a peace treaty between Kathryn Dennis and Thomas. JD offers Kathryn some advice for trying to deal with Thomas in a positive way so they can co-parent together without all the crazy drama. He also prods Thomas to make the situation work, explaining that children need both parents in their lives. It doesn’t appear he was too successful in his attempts since the two of them are still on the outs and still in the middle of contentious custody craziness.

Also tonight, Patricia continues her attempts to play matchmaker with Landon and Thomas.

Shep Rose, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Austen Kroll and the crew plan a hunting trip together, which also includes a shopping trip for the proper outfits. Of course.

Craig Conover and Naomie try to get over their issues. And Cameran Eubanks admits defeat in the Austen/Shep/Chelsea situation.

On Southern Charm Savannah, we continue getting to know these newcomers. According to Bravo, here’s what to expect tonight: “In the aftermath of her house fire, Ashley confronts some hard truths about her marriage. Meanwhile, as Catherine and Lyle settle into a “grown-up” relationship, Hannah looks forward to a future with “grown-up” Louis. But when Louis ends up playing strip golf with Ashley, all bets are off. Later, the ladies attend a very traditional bridal shower for Happy’s very non-traditional marriage.”

Bethenny Frankel Joining Shark Tank This Fall!

The entrepreneurial waters might be getting a lot more dramatic soon because Bethenny Frankel has added another reality show gig to her growing roster. The Real Housewives of New York star and Skinnygirl mogul will be joining the Shark Tank panel this fall on ABC.

In addition to landing a real estate spinoff on Bravo with friend and Million Dollar Listing NY star Fredrik Eklund, Bethenny will now be investing in – or trampling on – the dreams of would be entrepreneurs far and wide! In addition to Shark Tank’s standard panel, Bethenny will guest star when only four of the six “sharks” are present.

Bethenny made the announcement on Instagram Monday, posting, “I guess I am a shark after all. Watch out @sharktankabc – comin’ for u this fall. Are you as excited as I am? #sharktank.”

Shark Tank’s panel has traditionally included heavyweights of business Daymond John, Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and Barbara Corcoran. The format of the show, with which may are familiar, includes hopeful entrepreneurs and inventors pitching their ideas to the panel in hopes that one or more “sharks” will bid on investing in them.

Page Six reports that Alex “A-Rod” Rodriquez, former baseball player and constant celeb-dater, will also guest star on the panel.

Bethenny’s rags-to-riches story has been prominently featured during her many years on Bravo. She broke into the business big leagues with her Skinnygirl cocktail company, which she sold at a cool $8.1 million in 2011, eventually branding the trademark into a larger empire of food, drink, and clothing.

Now in the midst of watching RHONY season 7 unfold, I can’t help but think that Bethenny seems to be phoning it in lately. Maybe it was the sh*tshow of last year that did her in. Or perhaps Ramona Singer’s frantic, nearly rabid behavior is wearing thin on her. In any case, it seems like this could be Bethenny’s last season on the franchise. Or, maybe she’ll keep the housewives gig in the rotation as a jumping off point for more TV and brand exposure?

In any case, one burning question remains: Will Sonja Morgan be pitching her toaster oven concept on Shark Tank anytime soon? Or perhaps a bidet-laundering boutique? Because THAT, my friends, would be worth some repeat viewing. She’s an International Lifestyle Luxury Brand, people!

Dorinda Medley Thinks Sonja Morgan Is Torturing Tinsley Mortimer!

Dorinda Medley had a fairly drama-free week on The Real Housewives Of New York, but she does have some thoughts on the other ladies’ behavior. Rooting for Tinsley Mortimer, Dorinda wonders if her living with Sonja Morgan is doing more harm than good. Strangely, Dorinda doesn’t touch on the feud between Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer in her blog though. (What’s up with that?) She does, however, reflect on the emotional moment she shared with her daughter, Hannah, at her late husband, Richard’s grave.

Dorinda shares, “I was overwhelmed and deeply touched by Hannah’s speech. You only saw a small part of it but it was incredible and heartfelt. I always knew that Richard and Hannah had a special relationship but I do not think I understood how strong their bond was and how his passing affected her in so many ways. I feel this was a watershed moment for Hannah – a hard, difficult moment.”

Adding that it was “necessary” for Hannah to “get it all out there,” Dorinda gushes that she “was so proud of her and it made the day not only more special, but gave it a sense of real completion.”

Moving on to Luann de Lesseps’ big day, Dorinda says she gives the bride’s dress – and her own bridesmaid’s dress – two thumbs up! “I love Luann’s dress an MY bridesmaid’s dress. As I said throughout this whole engagement, I never thought I would be a bridesmaid at this age (more of a mother of the bride), but I am excited. In the words of her sister Rene, “I love lace” too. This is a very exciting time and it its all happening so fast. I have never seen Luann happier and it is time for people to either celebrate with her or be silent. The wedding is weeks away and there is no more room for negativity. And I look great in rose pink satin!”

Dorinda does not give the living arrangement going on at Lady Morgan’s house two thumbs up, however! She writes in her blog, “I am confused watching the living situation of Sonja and Tinsley. I get the feeling that Tinsley is being watched and almost tortured. I would feel completely uncomfortable to be a guest of someone that I thought was following my every move and implementing ‘pop up’ rules of acting appropriately as a house guest. Clearly Tinsley is well raised and from a good family. Additionally, she just moved back from Palm Beach from a dreadful situation. She is coming back to NYC a bit hesitant and hurt.”

“I want Sonja’s home to be a place of refuge for her to heal and grow back into NYC and her new life,” continues Dorinda. So, she has some serious advice for the socialite with a broken wing: “Tinsley has been through enough and needs kindness and comforting, not criticism. I hope they work this living situation out or it will clearly end badly. But as I said before, Tinsley, move out!!!”

Yikes. If Tinsley decides to take Carole Radziwill up on her offer of a vacant apartment in her building, Sonja will surely become the night stalker on that block! Maybe Dorinda can help Tinsley craft a deep cover exit strategy, military style?

Dorinda also has some advice for Carole and her couch of many cat-clawings! She jokes, “One comment about Carole’s famous couch. Never get rid of it. I don’t care if it’s shredded to bits – it’s iconic! This couch is from her late husband’s mother and has the old school, not to be found anymore tiger fabric. I believe it’s Salamander, isn’t it? Well I love it and every time I see it I think the stories it could tell!”

Second Wives Club’s Veronika Obeng Already Divorced From Dr. Michael Obeng Over Infidelity; He Sued To Stop Show From Airing!

Veronika Obeng is starring on Second Wives Club as the THIRD wife, of Dr. Michael Obeng, a successful Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, but reality is stranger than reality TV because now Veronika is actually his third ex-wife!

Not only that, but Michael attempted to block the E! show from airing certain episodes claiming he did not sign up for a show to make his marriage look bad. Um, how about look real? Cause your wife caught you cheating, dude!

Veronika and Michael, who have 3 children together (and five from previous marriages) filed for divorce in July 2016, after Veronika discovered Michael’s affair via a secret Instagram page owned by his mistress. That’s worse than being dumped on a post-it note, right?

Unfortunately Second Wives Club was filming amid Veronika’s discovery and she decided to make Michael’s infidelity public knowledge. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned on reality TV!

That wasn’t OK with Michael. In a lawsuit, he claims the show was “staged” and put them in false situations designed to embarrass his reputation. “The Series was nothing about the couple’s happy marriage…” alleges Michael’s complaint. “The Defendants constantly staged Plaintiff in artificial situations and demanded Plaintiff to engage in conflicts that were often fraudulent and deceptive.”

Variety reports that Dr. Obeng, through his attorney, sent a letter to E! in August ’16 arguing that the “unrealistic and manufactured personality,” the network forced upon him could be harmful to his business once aired. He also demanded that he and his children be retroactively removed from the show. Interestingly, his letter mentions Second Wives Club as being named “Famously Married.”

Clearly Michael’s injunction suit went nowhere as evidenced by the show currently airing featuring both him and his children. In fact a rep for the network stated, “E! has not received a complaint and will not comment on this matter.” And, in an interview, Veronika attests that the portrayal of her and Micheal’s failing marriage is all-too accurate!

Veronika actually tells Bossip things were actually worse than cameras let on, and not only did Michael engage in an affair but he also cheated with prostitutes! Does this guy need some help from Dr. Drew or Dr. Phil, perhaps?

Veronika never envisioned the how things would turn out when signed up for the show, and says the “negativity” with Michael unfolded organically “a week or so after shooting” started.

“I didn’t know what to share, when to share it, or how it would be received,” Veronika explains. “But the more I had to deal with with the situation of my husband’s infidelity and the women on the other side of his life – the hood rats and skanks were going to tell my story, which was not what happened. So I took all of that fear and said that truth was more important than being embarrassed.”

“I decided to live my truth because so many women don’t. And I thought, ‘Why did I sign up for a reality TV show and not live my truth?’ I refuse to be a prisoner to the camera or my situation.”

Veronika put everything into their marriage and the business, and scoffs at Michael’s cheating being blamed on her, “Why should I be embarrassed? You cheated on me. Why would I be embarrassed that you like hookers?”

You know what I find that attitude refreshing. Good for Veronika! Better than hiding it and not even being honest with their children… I mean she was pregnant and raising children, working and he’s running around? Um, no.

She shrugs off accusations that she’s a “gold digger” or that she used the situation to gain fame. On the show Veronika is shown working in Michael’s practice and recounts building the business together. Their divorce is not finalized, and she doesn’t discuss the specifics of settlement, etc.

Veronika describes the show as “empowering” and despite the painful experiencing of reliving the failure of her marriage, she would “definitely be down for a season two.”

“Life doesn’t stop when you find out your man has been unfaithful,” Veronika quips, “that’s when it gets real.” Touche! Honestly are these two born for reality TV or what – talk about crazy drama! And personally, so far, I’m really loving this show!

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Secrets Revealed Recap: A Farewell To Phaedra Parks

Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta Secrets Revealed episode may has well have been our official goodbye to Phaedra Parks. Her swan song, if you will. At one point she even licked a peach-shaped candle and mocked it for not being a real peach. Art imitating life!

Obviously there was much ado about the drama between Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams, which we now know was all initiated by Phaedra. Ergo, it was quite funny when Phaedra and Sheree Whitfield visited a book store to see Sheree’s new book, and discussed Kandi and Porsha’s argument.

Phaedra guffawed that she needs to hook up a lie detector test up to some vaginal lips – and isn’t that so ironic?! Girl… you need one here, down there, and everywhere… from your tiny baby toe, to your eyebrow!

Phaedra was also quite surprised to learn that Porsha had experimented in the lady pond, but don’t worry – Frack never tried to get into Frick’s crack!

Later Phaedra meets all the girls except Kandi for drinks to discuss her disastrous ‘friendship re-connection dinner’ with Kandi at the beginning of the season. Kenya Moore muses that sometimes she seriously thinks Phaedra is pretending to be a human who is absorbing information or ideas, then she just goes ahead and robotically continues doing the same ol’ thing! Basically Phaedra cannot admit when she’s wrong, and she’s not empathetic to other’s situations. Oh, isn’t that the case!

Also ironically, was how ardently Porsha and Phaedra defended their friendship. In unseen Maui footage, Phaedra visits Porsha’s room to flirt with Todd2, and learns the chocolate in the centerpiece is edible – and quite sweet – yet the fruit bowl is fake as all the Georgia peaches she tries to take a bite out of. Isn’t this great imagery for this this show and Phaedra’s portrayal? Porsha and Phaedra claim to have a deep friendship behind the scenes, which to my understanding involves lots of sound effects, twerking, and speaking in some kind of special language. Poor Todd has found himself sandwiched inside quite a menage-a-trois!

Then Phaedra took her sons to the dentist where Mr. President (aka Ayden) threw a tantrum at being prodded and poked. Phaedra compared him to Apollo, but made sure to explain that like all good Commanders In Chief, Ayden wants to make all the executive orders. Which means if he wants to throw a fit at the nicest and fanciest pediatric dentist office I’ve ever seen, then secret service – stand by!

Sheree published her book and put in a liberry (did we ever see the one at Chateau Sheree?!), then Kairo left for college, and miracle of miracles, Bob moved him to school. Only because Bob hoped to mack on some co-eds. Seriously. Sheree notes that this is actually (sadly) a step-up from the Bob of yore … the one who didn’t call her, or pay child support, and let their kids be evicted from the home. Bob is a big ol saggy boob! Uck.

Noelle confronts Cynthia Bailey about how underhanded and sneaky the divorce is – like one day Peter didn’t ever come home again, but Cynthia failed to officially sit-down and discuss this with Noelle. She too was blindsided by Cynthia’s need to be free of Peachter, Peachter Bank Account Eater. Strike while the iron is indisposed in Charleston, I s’pose!

Later Peter and Cynthia discuss their divorce (again). Again, she is devastated to learn that Peter won’t continue to pine for her once those papers are signed! Cynthia wants to have her brownie, and eat it too, which means she wants to be rid of Peter on paper, but still keep all the good parts of their union – like him being her bestie, listening ear, and scapegoat. But Peter isn’t interested in friendship – he will only invest in relationships with women where he gets something in return. And that something is not a divorce decree, but I’m pretty sure he’ll stick around for any future trips to Maui, or wherever.

Why is Cynthia so incapable of being an adult? I mean, she will talk about her down-low lesbian experiences with Noelle, but not mention that Noelle’s step-father is moving out? Mmmmkay.

Then the ladies celebrated Father’s Day which, well, meant that only Kandi and Todd were truly celebrating. Leon is in Cali and all he got was a FaceTime, Apollo is in prison… Kenya is mothering her post-adolescent man child by installing nanny cams all over the house so he doesn’t break the fine china. Apparently Kandi needs some of those too – she admits to actually forgetting Ace at home one day, and not realizing until she was at the end of the street.

So Father’s Day… Riley is sad that Block is absent, and Kandi doesn’t know what to do, so she contrives new ways to help her children become moguls. Ace, aged 6 months, now has his own “lifestyle brand” company called Raising Ace, and Kandi has him doing around a photoshoot on a potty chair. Luckily Cynthia arrives to inform Kandi of child labor laws! Kandi just wants her children to know that all opportunities are another way to make money. I’m not sure I co-sign that attitude, but I’m also sure that I’m not a multi-millionaire and neither are my children.

While Kandi was protecting her assets, Kenya visited a security expert to protect Moore Manor as if the secrets of the ages were hidden beneath its walls. I guess Sheree does live next door and might steal some WiFi, or something…

Just in case, Kenya actually requested armed sentries and an electric fence to ward against intruders. $10 says one drunken night she’d shock herself twirling around the property line… And that she’d accidentally make an HD sex tape with those security cams the next time she and Matt got freaky in his truck! When your security makes you less secure, Atlanta we have twirled upon a problem.

Kenya secures Moore Manor just in time to leave town. First to summer camp with Phaedra, where happily we saw nice sides of both ladies. In the car on the way to MI, Kenya even let the devil Phaedra take the wheel while she fixed her scarf, and they had had an honest conversation about love, Phaedra’s divorce, and moving on. It was great! Moore of this please (pun intended).

At camp, they served some tea together – like in an actual tea party, not in a gossipy shit-stirring way! This took place on a boat, and of course while the teabags were steeping it started to pour down rain and everyone was forced to take cover under the table. “Safety first!” calls counselor Phaedra – who also warns them to protect their hair (lol), but they were all having fun.

Phaedra and Kenya also delivered empowering messages about love, confidence, and not giving into peer pressure, by using good friends as “courage”. Which makes Phaedra’s decision to be a no-good veryveryvery bad friend all the more hypocritical and shocking! Phaedra certainly is awash in hypocrisy – and that rain did not rinse her phony falsehoods out of her hair to reveal a halo. Instead of holier than thou, Phaedra is hypocritical-er than thou.

This was some serious art imitating life here at camp. Phaedra gave a whole speech about negative friendships being a distraction which leads one down bad paths – she even figuratively beat away that ‘negative friend’ with a foodle – imparting that we must rely on true friends to keep us courageous enough to do the right thing. Was she directing this at Kandi? Or herself? Because Phaedra was simultaneously spreading out and out lies about Kandi, getting all distracted by her vendetta, and not being courageous enough to admit any of it! Girllll… you need to attend your own camp summit! And find those ‘real friends’ to beat you with a foodle! It’s like Camp Phaedra is the ‘real Phaedra’ and ‘RHOA Phaedra’ is her evil doppelgänger. Or maybe it’s the other way around? And Camp Phaedra is the good twin that sometimes takes over evil twin’s body? I’m extremely perplexed.

We also saw Phaedra on a ‘date’ with her former prom date, and she seemed so relaxed and casual. Like who is this woman? Where did the scheming, conniving Ms. Parks go?

Anyway Kenya also gave a really touching talk about being abandoned by a parent, and reminding the kids that they are loved. Very sweet. The forgiveness and bonding seemed real between Kenya and Phaedra. So what happened in Maui?! Why was Phaedra so irked by the divorce party? Why not just roll with those punches and rise above as she instructed those kids to do? Practice what you preach Phaedra – literally! Actually, also practice what Jesus preaches, aka: thou shalt not lie!

Kenya sure is irritating though! In unseen footage from the glamping trip she terrorized the women by jostling the suspension bridge, even though several of them admitted they were afraid of heights. It’s because Kenya was bothered that Porsha was getting attention by taking a selfie and didn’t ask Kenya to be in the picture! Honestly, no one sane person (or Porsha) would want to be on a rickety, unstable bride with an unstable, rickety Krayonce, always needing her attention-seeking fix. Kenya and Porsha really aren’t that different, actually.

Finally we end in Maui with Porsha and Peter arguing about her accusations that he cheated on Cynthia. Peter claims Porsha completely made up this lie that he was getting frisky with 19-year-old waitresses because she was angry with Cynthia, similar to how she made up a lie about Kandi. Porsha does admit that Peter was “collateral damage” in a Housewives feud, mostly because he inserts himself – literally – into Housewives business.

Why is Peter acting as if there are no grounds to believe he would cheat when last season Cynthia discovered the viral video of him canoodling with a young woman in his club?! Really, Peter? You’re reaching for that peach but I think it’s gonna wind up being made of wax!
