New Series ‘Southern Charm Savannah’ Premieres In May

If you can’t get enough of Southern Charm, then you’re probably pumped for the premiere of the show’s first spin-off series Southern Charm Savannah. In fact, you will have the opportunity to get a double dose of the Southern drama since the new show is set to air right after the original on Monday nights.

Just like Southern Charm, Southern Charm Savannah revolves around a co-ed group of friends living in the South and trying to balance their personal and professional lives.

Southern Charm Savannah is set to premiere on Monday May 8 at 10 PM.

According an official Bravo press release, Southern Charm Savannah “will follow six lifelong friends as they set out to make their mark in this world, all while navigating their legacies, love lives, and personal relationships.” That’s a little vague, but the press release also shared some more details about what to expect from the stars of the new series.

The first cast member described in the post is Lyle Mackenzie, who is “a man on a mission who moved back to Savannah hoping to make an honest woman out of his high school sweetheart.” Well that sounds like a refreshing change of pace from the male reality TV stars who brag about being players.

Another guy in the cast is Louis Oswald, who “recently resigned from his corporate banking job to become a full-time entrepreneur.” Based on my many years as a Bravo viewer, it’s safe to expect a lot of self-promotion with his story lines.

Hannah Pearson is described as someone who “found love but learned quickly that in Savannah, ‘mama’s boy’ takes on a whole new meaning.” That last part about her man’s mother gives me hope for a Patricia Altschul 2.0.

There’s another cast member, Daniel Eichholz, who sounds like a cross between Thomas Ravenel and Shep Rose. He is described as a “business man by day and ladies’ man by night who was forced to grow up after a scandal nearly destroyed his family business.”

Cast member Catherine Cooper is “a modern Southern Belle on a quest for independence,” which is pretty vague, but I’m sure we will learn more about her as the show progresses. Then there’s Ashley Borders, “a fashionista who spent years traveling the world before realizing that there really is no place like home,” which reminds me of when Landon Clements joined the original.

I just want to know if Happy McCullough is another cast member’s given name or if that’s her nickname. Aside from the interesting name, Happy is “bucking old-school Southern traditions by marrying her Muslim boyfriend.”

And then there’s a guy that strikes me as this show’s Thomas – solely based on a one sentence description. His name is W. Nelson Lewis Jr. He is referred to as “a comeback kid” who “made headlines in Washington D.C. with his wild behavior.” I am intrigued.

Eden Sassoon Is Offended By Erika Girardi’s Reaction To Her Gift; Teases Drama With Lisa Rinna In The Finale

It has been tough for me to find sympathy for Eden Sassoon this season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but I definitely felt bad for her after Erika Girardi rejected and made fun of the friendship ring she bought her during the Hong Kong trip. Sure, I felt like it was a little off-base since I am pretty sure that these two had zero alone time the whole season.

Nevertheless, Erika’s reaction was unkind and unnecessary. I have been ride or die Erika Jayne from the start, but it’s tough to defend her antics in Hong Kong. Then again, every human being is bound to have an unflattering moment or two if her life is filmed for months at a time.

To be honest, Erika’s rude reaction to Eden’s friendship ring was the best thing to happen to Eden this season. This is the one thing that pretty much everyone could side with her on. It’s like a small-scale version of Kanye West ripping the microphone away from Taylor Swift at the VMA’s. It really made people jump to Team Taylor and this ring incident is going to give Eden some much-needed support.

This is the one time Eden legitimately has something to complain about and she took the opportunity to talk about her hurt feelings in her Bravo blog about the last episode.

Eden recalled, “I knew Erika was still exhausted from her emotional dinner and feeling a bit down, so when she saw a ring she really liked, I bought it for her to cheer her up.”

I think that was actually a really nice gesture. Calling it a “friendship ring” was giving me a flashback to Cynthia Bailey asking NeNe Leakes to sign that friendship contract a few years ago. Still, it seemed like Eden was trying to be nice and I figured Erika would accept any ally given that Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards were clearly siding with Dorit Kemsley after the junk boat spat.

Eden complained, “OF COURSE she had to make it more than it was, saying it was a weird exchange and that she didn’t want it. Why can’t I do anything nice for anyone? If I was super upset about something that I was involved in, and someone bought me a small gift to just say, hey I’m here, and I recognize how you’re feeling, that would mean the world to me! Why haven’t I learned yet that these women think my giving is weird?!”

From the long hugs to the friendship ring, no one in this cast wants anything from Eden… which I get to a certain extent, but still, there’s no need to make fun of someone just because she awkwardly gifted you a ring.

Eden declared, “I’m never going to change who I am, though. If I want to buy someone a gift to try and cheer them up, I am going to buy them a freaking gift to cheer them up! #Jeeze”

On a lighter note, Eden shared, “Lisa’s Diamonds and Rosé party was beautiful. She truly transformed her backyard into a fairytale!” And this was just a random party. It wasn’t for a birthday or an anniversary. Lisa just transformed her backyard – casually. I was living for it.

Eden teased drama with Lisa Rinna: “And as you can see in that promo… I think I finally found my voice. It was time a certain someone knew how I was feeling.” I find it hard to justify most of Eden’s actions this season, but it would have been a much different season for her if Rinna wasn’t in her ear spreading rumors. I am surprised Eden didn’t explode at Rinna sooner.

Eden concluded, “Note To Self: Never stop being who you are. You can’t please everyone.”

Survivor: Game Changers Episode 4 Preview: Dirty Deed

Well how do you follow up last week’s historically epic Tribal Council? We’re about to find out as Survivor promises yet another doozy of an episode.

There is bound to be some fall-out for JT after all of the craziness he caused at Tribal, but the focus of tonight’s episode may be over at one of the opposing tribes, where it appears Deb goes full-out “Deb” and has a major melt-down. Dirty Deed

So we’ve had a week now to sort out just what went down at Tribal, and all signs point to JT making what is probably a fatal move for his game going forward. Hey, you can’t fault the guy for trying, he is a former “perfect game” winner and has taken big swings now in both of his last two times playing. They haven’t always been the smartest or most well-thought-out of moves, but at least JT is living up to the “game changers” moniker.

I do want to make a correction from the Podcast last week, where I had stated that Hali had voted along with JT‘s tribe to vote out Sierra. Hali showed some discourse and obviously wasn’t fully on-board with Brad and the rest of her tribe, but she ultimately cast a vote towards Malcolm. JT, too, ultimately voted along with the rest of his tribe, even after relaying info over to Brad that they were going to be voting for Sierra.

Where JT‘s plan went awry was that he really had hoped that Brad’s tribe would have voted out Sandra, whom JT saw as the biggest threat. You can’t quite blame him again…sure, his current tribe had the 6-5 numbers advantage at Tribal, but JT was clearly on the bottom, despite a budding bromance with Malcolm that had been forming. He could have fallen in line and just laid low, and could have just voted along with his tribe, but he really felt threatened and like he was going to be the next person targeted to go home on his tribe. With Sandra gone, he feels like he and Malcolm might have been in a position of power, and at the same time he would have gained mad favor with Brad and his alliance for showing loyalty across enemy lines at Tribal.

Dirty Deed

The flaw in thinking was not only that Brad would do exactly what JT recommended he do, but in thinking that voting out Sandra would go over well with his current tribe and his bestie, Malcolm. Malcolm even said in his exit interview (listen to the podcast!) that even if Sandra would have been voted out, that JT would “be dead to me” once they got back to camp, for making this move all on his own. Had it of been a move that both JT and Malcolm (or others), were on board with, that’s a different story. But “going rogue” looks like it was a short-sighted “lose-lose” scenario for poor JT. It cost him his closest current ally in Malcolm, but he now has Sandra’s cross-hairs pointed directly at him…and just ask Tony, that’s no place to be.

That brings us to tonight’s episode, entitled “Dirty Deed.” Here is the synopsis from CBS:

“Dirty Deed” – One castaway searches for an immunity idol they desperately need in order to stay in the game, and another castaway throws their game off balance after they lose their cool, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, March 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

So it’s pretty clear that JT will be scrambling to find an Idol, and that if he doesn’t, he will likely go home if his tribe loses the Immunity Challenge. The more interesting development is with Deb, who is shown in the Video Preview as completely losing her cool with several others on her tribe. What’s the trigger for her blow-up? What exactly is she upset with? We’ll have to see, as I don’t recall anything specific that would have gotten her that upset.

For fans and viewers of Little Women: LA, the marriage drama between self-proclaimed Bonnie and Clyde Briana Renee and Matt Ericson is s staple since he came on the scene, ripped jeans and tacky t-shirts a blazin’. But this season has given us a welcome reprieve from hearing about the “did he/didn’t” he cheating rumors that dog them and they have even hung around the other cast quite a bit. Well, that’s about to be shot to hell, thanks to a huge fight between them, which resulted in Briana (sort of) growing a pair of balls and threatening divorce. Don’t go getting all excited though….you know how these troubled relationships never quite end as quickly as they are supposed to.

Jasmine Sorge is finally coming home from the hospital with her new baby, Benjamin and as much as I like Jasmine, maybe now we can stop hearing about how hard her pregnancy was. It’s not that I don’t feel for her, but if I had to hear one more time about her hormones making her turn into a she-devil, I was going to lose it. Oh, and her delivery was also terrible and traumatic because she got sick to her stomach and had to have someone hold her ~~eyelashes~~ baby, while he had to barf into a bag. But now she’s home and her husband is still alive (for now).

Christy McGinty Gibel has her own medical problems. She recently had surgery to replace a disk in her neck, which resulted in a nicked artery and a loss of half a pint of blood. For the record, this has nothing to do with getting bopped in the head with a plastic cup full of water thrown by Terra Jole. At least we don’t think so. Christy’s medical history is more complicated than Matt and Briana’s relationship. Tonya Banks decides to come and visit and drags Kerwin along with her, which is probably the last thing he was interested in doing that day. Or any day. After a few minutes of hanging out and Christy giving them her dramatic life or death surgery story, Christy begins to loosen up, literally, by taking her neck brace off, and reveals that husband Todd Gibel is so overweight that he is upstairs hiding instead of taking care of her.

Later, when her friend Rhonnie stops by with a bucket of chicken Christy can’t even eat, Christy repeats the same story, making it out like Todd is some kind of obese Phantom of the Opera, hiding away from daylight and only using a scooter to come out and get food before scooting back to the depths of his obesity lair. Rhonnie is aghast and can’t understand how Todd could do this to Christy when she looks like Frankenstein herself. Jeez, first you bring the poor girl delicious chicken she can’t even eat and now you call her Frankenstein? With friends like Rhonnie……Anyway, before Rhonnie leaves, she makes sure to stir up drama between Christy and her estranged friendship with Elena Gant, who is not a good friend for not rushing to Christy’s neck braced side. The seeds are planted and Christy realizes she needs to confront Elena about this.

When they do meet later, Christy is neck brace free and ready to tell Elena what a crap friend she was for not rushing to her bedside. Elena is unmoved and admits in her confessional that she feels like Christy is just overly dramatic and didn’t think her surgery was that big of a deal. And Christy didn’t even congratulate Elena on having her babies until they were a month old. But Christy wants to repair the friendship and “communicate” better, even though Elena doesn’t think it’s possible.

Onto more medical updates, Briana is back from another quick trip to the hospital for gall stones. But instead of recovering, she is taking care of baby Maverick on her own because she kicked Matt out of the house after a big fight. She calls Jasmine to fill her in and long story short, Briana is questioning her marriage for real this time. According to her, their fights always start out small, in this case, because Briana set a baby bottle down on what Matt deemed was an unclean surface and Matt now questions Briana’s ability to take care of their child. Uhhh Matt, you are an unclean surface. Briana fought back, throwing back in his face how he used to cheat on her and then told him to leave because she is filing for divorce. So now she is faced with a decision: does she lose the Clyde to her Bonnie and also much needed help around the house? Or does she take care of herself emotionally. This is quite the conundrum. Especially knowing this all stemmed from fighting about an unclean countertop. More on this later.

Elena goes to visit Jasmine and get a much needed lesson in how childproofing a pantry works. That was painful to watch. I don’t understand how someone sporting a laced up shirt and leather collar for a necklace could not figure out how to open a cabinet door with two hands. They sit down to talk and Elena is hoping to put her issues with Terra’s friendship (or lack thereof) behind them and Jasmine spills the beans on what is going on with Briana. Of course Jasmine thinks getting the girls together to help support Briana in her marriage crisis would be a good idea, completely forgetting the girls have never supported Briana in her marriage to begin with, let alone when it’s in crisis.

Once they all meet, Briana decides she has no choice but to tell the girls what is going on. Meaning, she has no one else to tell and thinks maybe they have moved on enough to actually tell her what she wants to hear. NOPE. As Briana pussy foots around what is happening, she finally admits that while she can trust Matt (because she has all of his social media passwords), she might not be able to get past what he has previously done to her. Terra just says what we are all thinking: how can you trust someone when the only way you’re satisfied is by regularly monitoring their every move? Instead of listening, Briana goes into defense mode and this is the main reason why no one wants to hear her sob story about her dumb marriage – because she really doesn’t want to do anything about it. We all have a friend like this right? Always breaking up with her loser of a man but getting back with him two days later after you have sufficiently lent your energy into dogging him out with her and building her back up. It’s exhausting and Briana takes the cake on this.

Even when Briana meets with her friend Lisa, you can tell Lisa has heard this idle threat of Briana leaving Matt so many times that she’s out of advice and energy. She feeds into Briana only slightly, asking if Briana really loves Matt and a teary Briana takes way too long to respond.

A few days later, Elena gets together with Terra to talk about it while getting permanent Joan Crawford eyebrows on their faces. Elena is such a busy mom, she really needs to spend less time on her eyebrows and this will totally do the trick. God, if only I had these problems……sigh. All that aside, Terra has another problem brewing with Briana. She found out that after Briana pestered her for an invite to Dancing with the Stars, she chatted up Terra’s manager to try and get representation. Why is Terra surprised by this? I could have told her that’s what would happen if she invited Briana to something she claimed she was in the running for! The thirst is real, people.

Back to Briana and Matt and whatever they are going to do in their dumb marriage that no one really cares about but them. We join Briana at home, sitting on her bed, writing in her dream journal and waffling about all the reasons why she doesn’t want to get divorced. Then she takes the blame, saying how she isn’t good at marriage and maybe she doesn’t give it enough of an effort. Or maybe, just maybe, you pick horrible losers to marry? Hello?! As always, Matt shows up and says something rehearsed for the camera to make him seem less disgusting than he is. Briana claims she doesn’t make herself vulnerable enough and Matt blames their issues on having a baby that doesn’t sleep. They go around and around, both saying they don’t know how much more they can take. Me neither. And with that, we are left “to be continued….”

Stevie J’s Attorney Quits – Says He Won’t Win Child Support Appeal!

Stevie J owes $1.3 million in restitution for unpaid child support – and Joseline Hernandez hasn’t even gotten to him yet, but his attorney has just walked out on his case claiming Stevie will never win!

Stevie has argued that he shouldn’t have to pay, since it’s all good with his baby mama and kids, but last month the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star finally pled guilty and agreed to pay $1.3 million in restitution. Then he filed an appeal claiming the amount is “excessive.”

Stevie has been battling the child support indictment for years, and has been through a couple of rehabs in the process. Somehow he still found time to make another kid – a daughter named Bonnie Bella with Joseline – even though he hasn’t gotten around to paying those bills!

Now Stevie’s attorney, G. Eric Bellinger, has had enough and quit the case citing that Stevie’s appeal is basically not winnable. Mr. Bellinger and his firm told the judge, that “in it’s legal opinion, there is no good faith basis to pursue an appeal.” Yikes.

In court docs obtained by Bossip, Stevie’s ex-attorney says there’s no basis for the appeal because Stevie has no evidence to back up his excessive restitution claim. I.e. Stevie can’t prove he’s broke and he can’t prove he doesn’t still owe that money in unpaid child support.

As of now, ingenious legal mind of our generation Stevie J is representing himself. The judge gave him until March 24th find new counsel, and if he doesn’t present the new attorney by the end of the month, his appeal is being thrown out.

Stevie – just pay the money. Dude, seriously?

Lala Kent On How She Met Her Mystery Boyfriend & Why She Had James Kennedy Sign A Non-Disclosure Agreement

Everyone who watches Vanderpump Rules cannot help wondering about the identity of Lala Kent’s secret boyfriend. There are so many rumors about her being a sugar baby and dating a married man who might be a movie producer or an NFL player. I just wish she would post one photo on Instagram so we can stop guessing, but I get why she would want some privacy.

Still, I feel like having James Kennedy sign that nondisclosure agreement was a little much. Not only that, but I really can’t see James complying with those guidelines. Lala is adamant about keeping her man’s identity a secret, but she did share some key details recently.

Lala spoke with Heather McDonald all about her mysterious life during the the last two episodes of Heather’s Juicy Scoop podcast. Thankfully, Heather is into reality TV just as much as I am, so she asked questions that the fans want to know the answers to instead of boring fluff.

Lala told Heather, “He’s not married. I mean, come on. He’s definitely not married and never has been while I’ve been with him.” She also revealed that he’s in his forties and that she actually met him at SUR restaurant… when the Vanderpump Rules cameras weren’t rolling unfortunately.

The former SUR hostess revealed, “He approached me about doing a film and asked for my agent’s contact. He was at the restaurant and I was working – not filming – and he said ‘Are you an actress?’ and he just kept coming up to me and I was like ‘No. I do reality TV. I caved.'”

Lala recalled, “He said, ‘I have a movie coming up’ – which we will be filming in June – ‘and I want you to audition for one of these parts.’ I went in to the audition, went in to a second, had a couple meetings, we just hit it off, and after that we were inseparable.” She also revealed the plot of this movie: “It’s a bunch of sorority girls and there’s a murderer on campus.” Sounds original.

Since Lala identified her man as someone involved in this movie, which narrows down the list of possible dudes, it’s interesting that she insisted on having James sign a non-disclosure agreement. Just James – not Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval like James said on the show to Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute.

Lala admitted, “That I went back and forth with and then just finally told the truth about it. I came up with those strictly for James because he’s reckless at the mouth. I tell him anything and everything as he does for me and I just sometimes do not trust what he’s going to say when he’s upset – especially on camera.”

She alleged, “Stassi and Kristen made up this lie that I had been saying things about him so they were basically trying to get him to give information. At this point, I had left the show. I turned my phone off. I went home, back to Utah.”

So what did Kristen and Stassi (allegedly) say to James? Lala said, “Basically that I’m using him for music so I go, ‘Honey, you’re not f-cking DJ Khaled. I’m not using you for music. Calm down.’ Just a bunch of nonsense. I was disconnected from it because I had quit.” Well, yeah. There are more connected people Lala could “use for music” if that’s something she had a desire to do.
