Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is arguably having the worst birthday of his life. Earlier today, the former prince was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office … on his 66th birthday.
The disgraced royal is currently sitting in custody, and investigators are searching through two properties connected to him. But where is his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson?

While King Charles has released a statement in regards to Andrew’s arrest, and Queen Camilla has been continuing business as usual, the former Duchess of York is noticeably absent.
According to the Daily Mail, “the whereabouts of Andrew’s ex-wife and daughters remain unknown.” In fact, Sarah has not been seen in public since September 2025.
That is perhaps unsurprising, however. She has been caught up in scandal after scandal of late. Last year, she and Andrew were kicked out of Royal Lodge when he was stripped of his remaining royal titles. And, more recently, her name has appeared numerous times in the Jeffrey Epstein files – although, inclusion in the documents is not an indication of any wrongdoing.
Nonetheless, the impact has been significant. Since the Epstein files were released, Sarah was dropped as a patron by several UK charities, and six companies directed by the former duchess are to shut down.
Sarah was last seen being driven away from Royal Lodge in September. She lived with Andrew at the royal mansion for decades, but the pair have since been evicted. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation about where Sarah will move … and what she’ll do next.
So far, King Charles is the only royal to have commented on Andrew’s unprecedented arrest. “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course,” he said earlier today. “Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
