Who Won Power of Veto On Big Brother Week 6? 08/05/17

It’s a strange Big Brother 19 week where it’s not really going to end in a predictable way. Yes, we’ve had almost an entire season of unpredictable results but only one week where it came down to a last minute Big Brother vote decision. Coincidentally, Josh Martinez was also one of the key players of that Big Brother 19 week.

Big Brother 19 Josh Martinez

This week, Josh wants to shake up the game. He wants to evict Elena Davies, so there is no shady, unpredictable, playing both sides player in the Big Brother  game. He sees how she easily goes back and forth between Cody Nickson and Jessica Graff, and then to Paul Abrahamian’s side.

Josh doesn’t respect the fact that Elena plays people with ease. He even cited how she turned her back on her showmance partner Mark Jansen as proof of Elena’s ruthless game play. On the other side, Paul needs Jessica out the game. She is the biggest threat to his victory, because she has a huge comp beast weapon in the form of Cody.

Jessica also wins a lot of competition on her own as well. Couple that with, without Cody around, Jessica has an excellent social game. She has the potential to win back allies, which would be bad for Paul, because he is her number one target. The most damaging thing about Jessica that she has Paul’s entire game figured out and not afraid to expose it.

Paul and Josh’s opposing targets is a key point going into tonight’s Power of Veto competition. If Jessica wins it, then Elena’s game fate is sealed. If Elena wins it, then it’s goodbye Jessica unless a new target makes himself or herself known before Monday.

Earlier today the Power of Veto players were picked. The three nominees Jessica, Elena, and Mark along with Head of Household Josh were already going to play in the POV. The names drawn were Alex Ow and Cody. Christmas Abbott decided to enact her Ring of Replacement. She took Cody’s spot in this week’s Power of Veto.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Big Brother 19 Mark Jansen and Josh Martinez

It sounds like they played the OTEV competition. Mark Jansen won this week’s Power of Veto competition, which means things aren’t looking good for Jessica.

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Ring of Replacement Used-Was it the Right Move?

During Big Brother 19, the Den of Temptation was opened for roughly three weeks. Due to Jessica Graf taking the Halting Hex, the Temptation Competition took its spot as part of the summer of temptation. So far the Temptation Competition has saved Mark Jansen and recently Cody Nickson from impending Big Brother doom.

The Pendant of Protection helps Paul Abrahamian stay safe for three Big Brother 19 weeks. This also helped him gain the upperhand for the last six weeks. Last week, the Halting Hex kept Jessica and Cody safe from eviction.

The only power that was left in the game was the Ring of Replacement. Christmas Abbott won this power during the second week of the game. This power granted her the ability to take someone’s spot in any Power of Veto competition played during the season.

This week, Elena Davies and Jessica are the main targets. Christmas had been advocating to get Elena out the game over Jessica. Paul really wants Jessica gone. Paul wanted to ensure that Jessica left by lowering her chances of winning this week’s Power of Veto.

If Cody was selected to play in the Power of Veto competition, Paul insisted that Christmas finally use her Ring of Replacement to take his Veto spot. Both Christmas and Head of Household Josh Martinez weren’t sure about Paul’s play. They both thought it was better to use it down the road. Additionally, Josh and Christmas wanted Elena out the game more than Jessica, so why work so hard to screw over Jessica’s game?

After all three players went back and forth, Christmas finally decided to use the Ring of Replacement when Cody did, indeed, get selected to play in this week’s Veto competition.

Did Christmas make the right Big Brother 19 move by using it this week?

The pros of Christmas using it this week is that it shows Paul that he can trust her, and by approximation, Raven Walton, Alex Ow, and Matt Clines. That gives her some points with people who were starting to get annoyed with her in the game.

Now to the cons…

First, Christmas created some distrust between herself and Josh. Josh was completely team Christmas, even more so than team Paul. With Christmas using the Ring of Replacement, after he fought hard for her not to use it, it has to make Josh wonder if he can even trust Christmas anymore.

Secondly, this Big Brother house is not afraid to get people out through the backdoor. When Christmas’ number gets called for eviction, the houseguests may attempt it through a backdoor. Now she eliminate any safety net to stop that from happening.

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Christmas Abbott

The final con is that Jessica actually liked Christmas, and wanted to work with her in the Big Brother 19 game. Of all the houseguests, Cody and Jessica felt like the could potentially work with Kevin Schlehuber, Elena, possibly Mark Jansen, and Christmas. Now Jessica and Cody want nothing to do with Christmas both personally and game-wise.

Christmas lost two potential allies, or at least two potential votes if she made it to the end of the Big Brother 19 game.

Christmas’ decision might end up not cause that much of a wave for her game, but it seems (at the moment) to have caused unnecessary damage to it. We’ll have to see how this decision plays out this week for Christmas.

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Live Feeds Day 35 Highlights: Josh Goes Rogue

The Big Brother 19 Live Feeds were down for the majority of the day. We had over 10 hours of footage not shown on the Live Feeds because of the Temptation Competition and the nomination ceremony. However, the few hours that we did have of Big Brother 19 feeds were glorious.

Big Brother 19 Josh Martinez and Paul Abrahamian

Yesterday, we mentioned that this Big Brother 19 week came down to who had more control over Josh Martinez: Paul Abrahamian or Christmas Abbott. Yesterday, we got our answer. It’s Christmas.

Josh Goes Off Script

Big Brother 19 Elena Davies

In the morning, Christmas and Josh had another talk about targeting Elena Davies instead of Jessica Graf or Cody Nickson. However, both knew that it came down to the results of the Temptation Competition. Once feeds returned from that competition, it was revealed that Jessica and Cody’s plans went off without a hitch.

By a mere six seconds, Cody won this week’s Temptation Competition. Of course, many players weren’t happy about the outcome, but Paul insisted that Cody was never the target this week. Jessica (on purpose) came in last place, which made her an automatic nominee.

This also went along with Cody and Jessica’s plan, but also Josh’s plan a little. He always wanted to nominate Elena and Mark Jansen this week. After Cody won the Temptation Competition, Mark was worried that he might be the real target, but Elena had enough foresight to also be worried about her positioning in the Big Brother 19 game.

Before nominations, Paul and Josh talked. Paul tried to convince Josh that they needed Jessica out this week. He used the argument that Cody and Jessica would never vote for Josh if he made it to the final two.

Josh pretended to go along with Paul’s plan, but he told the viewers (via camera) that Elena needed to go. He planned to spend the week convincing Paul this fact.

Mark and Josh had a brief talk that Josh used to reassure him that Jessica was his target. Elena then had a discussion with Josh. He told her that she was also a pawn. Josh just wanted strong competitors on the block to beat Jessica (and possibly Cody) during the Power of Veto competition. Elena said it was fine but she didn’t believe his reasoning.

She argued that she did nothing to warrant the label strong competitor.

Nominations Fallout

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson

Josh couldn’t help touching the fire. He used his nomination speech to throw insults at Cody and Jessica, which angered both of them. He tried to talk to them later to smooth things over, but neither wanted to talk to him. Josh insisted to Jessica that he wanted to talk to her alone to explain things and clear the air.

She was so angry that she refused to deal with Josh. However, she calmed down enough to shake hands with him. Elena also got upset during the nominations, and called out Josh and Paul. This angered Josh and a few other players.

In the Big Brother 19 Head of Household room, Paul’s minions gathered (without Paul) to discuss the fallout. Later, Alex Ow and Josh had a private discussion, and Jason Dent later joined.

Josh pitched to them the idea of keeping Jessica in the house this week and taking out Elena instead. Alex said that she would respect Josh’s wishes but she thought it was a mistake to let Jessica make jury. She talked about Jessica being very manipulative, and how Cody alone might vote for Josh as the winner, but he would never do it with Jessica around.

Kevin Puts a Plan in Action

Big Brother 19 Cast

Kevin Schlehuber (on separate occasions) suggested to Jason and Paul that they get Cody on their side once Jessica leaves. They could form a secret alliance with him, and then use him to get out players, specifically Matt Clines and Mark.

Paul wasn’t really open to that suggestion. He wants Cody sent to jury sooner rather than later. Jason didn’t really get to respond to Kevin’s suggestion, but he didn’t seem enthusiastic about the plan either. Despite Jason and Paul not biting, it’s a good idea for Kevin to pick up Cody and use him as long as he’s in the game and house.

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Eviction Nominations – Week 6

Josh Martinez’s Big Brother 19 Head of Household week could go two ways. The first way is that Josh proves himself to be the loyal Paul Abrahamian follower that fans fear he is becoming. The second (more desirable and fun) option is that Josh goes rogue this Big Brother week. If Christmas Abbott has her say, that’s just what we expect.

Big Brother 19 Josh martinez

Christmas and Josh have had a strong bond since week 1. Their bond became even tighter when Josh became the-seemingly-deciding factor in her Big Brother 19 week 2 nomination. Christmas returned the favor by being a strong factor in helping Josh stay over Ramses Soto a few weeks ago.

Paul and Josh also have a strong bond. However, Paul has taken a more no nonsense approach by giving Josh orders, calling him an idiot (jokingly), and generally treating Josh like a friend but also a kid he can boss around. This week comes down to who has created a stronger bond with Josh.

Christmas and Paul have opposing agendas. They both want one member of a showmance out. They just want different showmances and people. So who got in Josh’s ear the most?

Major Spoiler Ahead. Proceed with Caution.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Since Cody won the Temptation Comp, and Jessica became the third nominee. This forced Josh to nominate two different people. He chose to nominate Mark Jansen and Elena Davies. So Mark, Elena, and Jessica are the current nominees.
