Real Housewives We Love to Hate-Watch

The Bravo series has become an instant cult classic. Mostly thanks to its peek behind the golden gates into a life that most viewers only dream of living. The Real Housewives hail from all across the United States but have multiple things in common—including an ostentatious lifestyle, and the ability to catfight over the silliest of things.

There have been multiple Real Housewives who have been bad people but made for entertaining TV. Nobody wants to be cast as the villain, but viewers don’t have a problem watching the same woman cause trouble during their beloved series. Below are our picks for the women we love to hate-watch.

Brandi Glanville

Sadly, Brandi Glanville was never really embraced by the women on her show. This is shocking because she was so kind…NOT! Brandi came into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills guns blazing during Season 2. She bonded well with Lisa Vanderpump after confronting Scheana Shay for being the mistress. But even that strong connection couldn’t save her when her end came. Her relationships with her co-stars deteriorated quickly thanks to her extreme antics and often bullying tactics. 

Even though she often fended for herself, fans enjoyed watching her throw wine in Eileen Davidson’s face. And accuse Kim Richards multiple times of drug use. Then she revealed Adrienne Maloof’s surrogate secret. It became apparent that Brandi was more of a liability than a major hitter, causing Bravo to put her on pause. The mother of two didn’t return until Season 6.

If you’re missing your Brandi intake, Bravo also cast her on The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. As planned, she caused massive fights there, too!

The original love-to-hate Real Housewives star has to be Danielle Staub of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, thanks to her incredibly interesting storylines. Danielle was a one-person wrecking ball against the Manzo-Laurita family. Thanks to her lies, she even caused Teresa Giudice to flip the dinner table, making a very iconic moment. Throughout her time on the show, Danielle kept company with ex-cons, got chased around a country club by Teresa, and even had her hair pulled out by Ashlee Holmes.

 Danielle often tried to pretend she was the victim, which no one ever really bought, mainly because she never took accountability for her part in the fights. The last time fans saw Danielle was when she pulled Margaret Josephs’s hair after being egged on by Teresa. Danielle was a hot mess, but at least she was our hot mess as we watched her from a safe distance.

Like it or not, Jen Shah made the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and placed it on the map when it was a newer franchise. Her out-of-control and often unpredictable outbursts were something to behold. Each week, Jen revealed more and more of her true self, which included threatening to drown Whitney Rose in a spa tub, splashing water at the Bravo crew, and trying to run from the FBI.

After being arrested on the series, Jen was sentenced to six years in prison for her part in wire fraud. Jen’s toxic attitude is not missed amongst her co-stars, but fans wonder if the drama will be able to match the intensity that was Shahmazing. 

Siggy Flicker

Shoot me now, but I used to like watching Siggy Flicker on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. As the cast liked to call her, Soggy often cried over the littlest things but only lasted two seasons with the Garden State woman. Siggy was confusing as she started her season with such promise but soon became one of the most dramatic women on the show. 

Siggy didn’t know how to have fun, which was proven after she presented a beautiful cake to Melissa Gorga, only for it to be ruined in a massive food fight. She left, blaming a fight with Margaret, and relocated to Boca Raton, FL. Most were happy to see her go, thanks to her obnoxious personality.

Siggy is now a MAGA and Trump supporter, which has lost her the support of many fans, but she continues to annoy people on the daily, just not on the show anymore.

Did Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss Lie About the Timeline of Their Affair?

Scandoval has almost died down, even after Rachel Leviss had her one-on-one podcast interview. The entire affair was tawdry, and Vanderpump Rules viewers kept finding out more and more information after the news broke in March. Tom Sandoval had decided to cheat on his long-term partner, Ariana Madix, with the former model showing little to no remorse. 

There were moments that didn’t add up, including when Rachel joked she could be an addition to the relationship. In a scene that didn’t air until after the scandal broke, Bravo cameras caught while on the wedding trip. It was Ariana, Tom, and Rachel all in the hot tub half naked, with Ariana noting, “We look like a throuple.” As the days dragged on, it became apparent that Ariana and the fans were not given all the details, especially regarding the two lovers’ timelines.

During her one-on-one interview after the Vanderpump Rules reunion with Andy Cohen, Rachel poked holes in her own story, admitting the TomTom co-owner had coached her. The former SUR server shared that she and Tom covered up much of what happened right under Ariana’s nose and in her own home.

Rachel revealed that she had slept with Tom more than once at his shared Valley Village home and numerous times while attending Scheana Shay‘s Mexico wedding, which took place last August. Fans will recall Tom claimed he had only had a one-night stand. 

Season 9 Is Looking Fine

Naturally, there are multiple viewers who feel that Tom and Rachel have divided everyone about the beginning of their love affair. The group of Rage Night Text truthers think that the former couple may have been hooking up since Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. This season debuted Rachel with her short hair, which immediately waved a trigger flag to fans who recall Tom saying he loves a woman with short hair. 

This theory tracks as Tom praised both Ariana and Kristen Doute for their short haircuts. During a confessional, Ariana once noted that Tom was “obsessed with my new haircut. I’m pretty sure he’s told me he’s already masturbated to it.” This clue has led truthers to feel Rachel had a motive for hacking her long locks off, too.

During Season 9, Tom splashed a lot of cash, $25,000 to be exact, to help James Kennedy propose to Rachel, which made absolutely no sense to anyone. It struck fans as odd that, while chatting to Tom Schwartz, Sandoval had a Freudian slip, noting, “I mean, like, Dude, if you’re going to propose to Raquel, we have to make it amazing, or we’re not doing it at all.” The gesture and sentence seemed odd, especially because the Toms were trying to save up money for their new bar. 

The move felt weird as Sandoval didn’t help Schwartz or Jax Taylor financially with their proposals, so it seems he just may have been crushing on Rachel. It didn’t go unnoticed that Rachel and James ended their relationship shortly after their engagement. Now, could there have been multiple issues within their relationship? Yes. But could there have also been a chance that Rachel thought she could have Tom? Yes. 

Which Guy’s Night Was the First Hook-Up?

Over the years, there have been multiple guys’ nights out for the Vanderpump Rules cast, including Las Vegas, Big Bear, and the Mondrian Hotel. However, Season 10 wasn’t the first time the boys have had a guys’ night out at the Mondrian.

During Season 7 Episode 11, the guys were out taking a night off from the ladies. This could be the original night that Tom and Rachel hooked up, making the singer’s statement, “It happened after guys’ night at the Mondrian then stopped for a while,” true.

For all intents and purposes, Season 7’s night out could count for the start/stop/restart of the affair. This theory would make the most sense and explains why Tom splashed the cash for the proposal (because he felt guilty) and why Rachel ended it with James (because she thought she had a shot).

Our minds are swirling with possible theories, but the world may never know what truly transpired between the two villains.

Why Jenna Lyons Might Not Be Cut Out for Real Housewives

Jenna Lyons is the woman we all aspire to be when we grow up. She’s also the newest star of the Real Housewives of New York reboot. She is chic, warm, and seems to have a little bit of that Millennial anxiety most of us suffer from. However, she may be too good for the series. Episodes have shown her feeling uncomfortable trying to navigate the world of girls and their cliques. 

Now, I don’t want to see Jenna departing from the reboot since she is mostly why I tune in, thanks to her fashion advice and calm demeanor. She is a rose amongst daisies, though the other women aren’t bad either. But Jenna stands out thanks to her omniscient presence.

However, there are clear moments where viewers can feel what Jenna is thinking thanks to her face. The one question she probably keeps asking is, “Why did I sign up for this?”

Jenna Is Reserved

Jenna is a bit older than the other women at 55. While some of her new besties are 36 and 44. She recently shared that she grew up in a very quiet household due to her mother’s Asperger’s. Jenna’s childhood experience caused her to become more “guarded” as an adult.

During an uncomfortable dinner in Anguilla, Jenna dropped a bombshell. She told her friends, “I have been fu*ked so many times, and that has nothing to do with you guys. And, like, if that comes off as not wanting to participate or not wanting to try or not wanting to be a friend, I apologize. That’s not my intention at all.”

The mother of one has been trying her best to connect with the other women since the season started. But it feels like sometimes it isn’t good enough. The ladies claimed they just wanted to get to know Jenna better, it also looks like they enjoy bringing on the waterworks. For this reason, Jenna may be better off slowly retreating from the group and sticking to those who know who she is. 

Jenna Is Too Cool To Be a Housewife

When Bravo announced Jenna would be in the lineup for the RHONY reboot, the fashion world and Bravosphere were utterly bewildered. Especially since Jenna is considered the epitome of everything cool. I mean, she dressed Michelle Obama for years; no housewife before her has done anything that impressive. It’s almost like a walking contradiction seeing Jenna hold a golden apple, because Real Housewives stars we have come to know and love often show off their wealth, partake in high-octane fights, and actively want to be in the spotlight. 

Quite literally, Jenna is too cool for school and brings so much clout to the franchise. Her position of power within the fashion world has never been questioned. But she may find it hard to relate to the cast, who have impressive resumes of their own. That said, none have the experience and connections like Jenna. 

What’s Wrong With Business Class?

As a Bravo fan, you think you’ve seen it all when it comes to silly arguments. The ladies of RHONY took their issues to another level after Jenna revealed she went early for the girls’ trip because she refused to fly coach. Honestly, the choice was hilarious and totally a Jenna Lyons move. Jenna was also anxious about being in her bikini since she has the genetic disorder, incontentia pigmenti. 

The rest of the cast really zeroed in on her absence from the plane instead of grasping the severity of her anxiety about her skin. Jenna isn’t creating a false narrative and actively covers herself in cotton cover-ups while the others take a photo shoot in the white sand.

Honestly, if I was headed to a tropical island, was a bit on edge, and had the money, I, too, would be traveling well and ensuring I did everything possible to ensure a good trip. Frankly, I love that Jenna is stuck in her ways and unwilling to change it up in the name of a girl’s trip.
