Whoopi Goldberg has once again fired shots at Donald Trump, this time taking a dig at the recently released first look at his presidential library. The EGOT winner not only questioned the need for such an establishment but also made fun of its proposed appearance, likening its design to the male genitalia.
The View’s host comments on Donald Trump’s Presidential library
In the March 31 episode of her talk show, the Sister Act star mocked the first visual representation of the current US President’s library, which will stand in Florida upon completion.
“Look, there’s so much crazy stuff going on. The fact that… did you see the rendition of the library that he’s building? It’s a giant… it looks like a giant penis,” Whoopi Goldberg said on The View.
“It’s like, where are you putting that? Why are you building a bunker under the White House? It’s not your building. You don’t own the building! You can’t just put stuff there. It’s not your house,” Goldberg added while rounding off her assessment of the project.
Whoopi Goldberg’s fellow The View host Sunny Hostin also shared a similar sentiment regarding Donald Trump’s library, before comparing it to Barack Obama’s presidential center. She noted that Obama’s establishment, which serves as “a living civic center to teach people about civics,” should be the benchmark for such structures.
In response to the criticism, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle described The View hosts as “extremely unlikeable, talentless hacks” who have “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Talking to Entertainment Weekly, he further added, “I lose brain cells every single time I have the displeasure of hearing them speak.”
Notably, Donald Trump’s son Eric, who is also the creator of the said presidential library, had recently shared the first look at the building on his X (formerly Twitter) profile. In his post, the Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization dedicated the library to his father, calling him “an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.”
