The news of Amanda Batula and West Wilson has upended the Bravoverse. That joint statement the pair released left even Andy Cohen feeling shocked.
The Bravo boss just weighed in on the shocking Summer House scandal, and he’s making it very clear that he was just as surprised as the rest of us. Those “conspiracy theories” floating around claiming that he knew about this blossoming romance? He says they aren’t true.
The Bravo boss reminded Summer House fans that “these are real people”
Andy addressed the Scamanda situation on the Wednesday, April 1 edition of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. Social media has been lighting up with fans accusing him of being in the loop about all of this, but he set the record straight. He didn’t see this coming.
“I saw a lot of conspiracy theories online yesterday that I somehow knew about this,” Andy began. “I did not.”
Just last week, Andy questioned West about the rumors on Watch What Happens Live. He told Andy that they were just friends, which has now left Andy with a ton of questions.
Andy said, “I was surprised by the statement. I was surprised by what it said, and I was surprised by what it didn’t say. I have so many questions, and the reunion is coming up, and boy, do I have a lot of questions.”
Like most Bravo fans, Andy said that he’s feeling for Ciara Miller right now. He saw the photo of her slumped on the ground outside the Hermès store, and he knows he’ll have his work cut out for him at the Season 10 reunion. In the meantime, he issued a reminder for Bravo fans to be mindful of their commentary on all of this.
“I do think it’s worth reminding everybody, all the passionate fans of the show, that these are real people involved,” Andy reminded.
He added, “There’s a middle ground you can thread, but just know that these are real people who are dealing with a lot.”
