None of Amanda Batula’s interviews regarding Season 10 of Summer House are aging well. This is the result of her confirming a relationship with her best friend’s ex-boyfriend, West Wilson after weeks of public speculation.
Amanda and West’s friendship was at the forefront of the recent Summer House episodes. Meanwhile, he was still trying to win back Ciara Miller. It was an interesting dynamic. And because she was in the middle of it all, Amanda was asked to comment on Ciara and West’s chemistry in prior interviews. What she said is having more of a reverb on her current status with him, rather than Ciara’s. Because now the question is where do Amanda and West go from here?
The Summer House stars confirmed their surprising romance
Just months before the Summer House stars issued a public statement confirming their relationship, Amanda gave an interview to Us Weekly. She was asked to choose whether West or his bestie, Jesse Solomon, was a “better match” for Ciara.
“I think neither,” Amanda stated.
The professional model was getting close with Jesse in the summer of 2025. He even asked West for his permission to kiss Ciara, as the two had dated briefly in 2023. Yet, the sports reporter admitted that “feelings” were still there while filming Season 10.
Amanda encouraged West and Ciara to have “fun” without worrying about labels. At the time of the interview, she claimed he is “not marriage material, not yet.”
“I support any decision that Ciara makes ever, at least publicly,” she continued.
The swimwear designer lauded her former bestie for having an “incredible summer.” And she teased the “dynamic between the three of them.” That rings differently now, but she was referring to Ciara, West, and Jesse.
“She was really living her best life, like, she was outside,” Amanda gushed. “She was going out. There were plenty of times we were in the bed, but there were plenty of times where we were just having a really good summer.”
For her part, Amanda decided to focus on her friendships in the house over her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke. At what point did she and West start hooking up? Seemingly the chemistry was there while filming last summer.
