Secret Lives of Mormon Wives baby daddy Dakota Mortensen just can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble. Amid the fallout from an alleged domestic violence incident with his ex Taylor Frankie Paul, Dakota is apparently involved in yet another love triangle.
In the trailer for the upcoming Unwell Winter Games, Dakota tells another contestant, “She hooked up with him. Then she hooked up with me … People think I’m, like, a really bad guy.”
In response, Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko points to himself and says, “Bad guy.” He immediately points to Dakota and repeats the words, “Bad guy,” while Dakota nods and laughs. “Bad guy,” he agrees.

Despite his legal issues, Dakota was announced as a cast member of Unwell Winter Games on March 31. Alex Cooper’s new reality show gathers 16 of the most polarizing figures in pop culture to compete against each other. During the four-episode series, the contestants will compete in mental and physical challenges over four days.
Filmed in Park City, Utah, the show promises “fierce competition, unexpected alliances, and … unfiltered drama.” Aside from Dakota, the cast will include SLOMW alum Demi Engemann, DWTS alum Anna Delvey, and The Traitors alum Ekin Su Cülcüloğlu. Also competing will be Bachelor Nation’s Joe Amabile and his wife Serena Pitt.
Just prior to Dakota’s casting in Unwell was announced, news broke that he was allegedly involved in his third domestic violence incident with Taylor. The alleged incident halted production on SLOMW Season 5. Taylor’s debut as The Bachelorette Season 22 was also canceled, just days before its premiere. Dakota and Taylor share a two-year-old son, Ever True.
The Unwell Winter Games premieres on Netflix April 6.
