Summer House Season 10 kicked off with stars Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke having trouble in paradise. The two were having constant communication issues, with Kyle telling everyone but Amanda what was wrong in their relationship. However, Amanda finally dished what their major issue was. And it had to do with Kyle’s drinking.
Amanda wants Kyle to get his “drinking under control”
Kyle and Amanda have been having a tough time this season. The two were struggling to communicate, with Kyle choosing to tell everyone and their mother what was wrong instead of her.
But there were more than communication issues for Amanda. During Season 10, Episode 3, Kyle wanted Amanda to communicate with him, but she wanted something else in return. And that was to get his “drinking under control.”
Amanda told Kyle, “Like, I need you to get your drinking under control.” She added, “I need to know that my husbands responsible enough to go out on his own and come back.”
Kyle claimed his drinking was only social, but when Amanda brought up he had crashed out the previous weekend, he blamed things on her. He said, “Yeah, because I was in a horrible place. What don’t you understand? I told you going into the summer if we can’t literally physically get our sh*t together, I’m going to have a mental breakdown. What did I do? I had a mental breakdown.”
Amanda also discussed the constant DMs she was getting that he was up to no good. She told him she was hearing about, “your drinking and the rumors and the coming home late.”
This set Kyle off. He said, “You know what I think we actually have an issue with? Compatibility, chemistry, intimacy, I don’t know, common interests. What about that sh*t? Oh, it’s about my drinking? What about the days, weeks, months where you don’t ask me a single question? I don’t know who I married anymore.”
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
