Actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will likely head to court following a breakdown of court-ordered settlement talks. With the It Ends With Us co-stars unsuccessful meeting, Blake’s sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit will probably go to trial.
The actors’ dispute played out for over a year in the press. Blake claims Justin had harassed her constantly on the movie set and initiated a mudslinging battle against her in 2024.

Justin’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, spoke this past Wednesday in front of a Manhattan courthouse, saying the parties could not reach a deal. Although he notes “there’s always a chance” of a settlement, he doubts talks on a pretrial deal will resume.
Blake and the Wayfarer Studios co-founder had departed the courthouse in the late afternoon. This was after a private meeting with their legal teams and Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave.
The actors appeared in court together yesterday for the first time since the Gossip Girl star filed the lawsuit. She seeks $200 million in damages from the It Ends With Us co-star and director.
Along with the sexual harassment allegations, Blake was accusing Justin of bringing in a crisis PR team to smear her prior to the movie’s premiere. She says this was in response to her complaints against him.
A January 22 hearing with lawyers from both sides followed a big document unsealing. This uncovered many emails that documented the atmosphere on the It Ends With Us set. The paperwork had revealed a Sony executive called Blake “a terrorist” when she threatened to quit the movie.
A court session held today relates to the Wayfarer portion of the suit. This covers the adjacent case of Stephanie Jones, head of Jonesworks PR and former chief of Justin’s old PR firm. It is not clear if Blake and Justin will attend. The two are expected to go to court in late May.
