An email released in the latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files seemingly shows that Sarah Ferguson was “terrified” of her former personal assistant.
In the early 2010s, Sarah’s ordeal with Johnny O’Sullivan, her former assistant, was well-publicized. He sought thousands in unpaid wages from her, which she ultimately turned to Jeffrey for help paying off.
Epstein emails reveal an alleged fear for the former Duchess
The most recent drop of Epstein files, released at the end of last month, has added further detail to what we already know went down between Sarah and Johnny. In a series of emails to his associate David Stern, dated November 27, 2010, convicted sex offender Jeffrey commented on Sarah’s situation.
“She is terrified about Johnny. He must know some dirty stuff,” the late financier wrote. Per the emails, released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and seen by OK Magazine, Jeffrey went on to call Johnny a “little sh*t” after he demanded unpaid wages from the then-Duchess of York.
Following Jeffrey’s arrest, and after he had stepped in to pay off her debts to Johnny, Sarah publicly denounced him. She said in the press at the time that accepting money from him had been a “gigantic error of judgment”. She also promised to cut contact with him, and added: “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children.”
Nonetheless, their friendship seemingly continued. Just a few weeks later, the Mail on Sunday leaked a handful of emails. These showed Sarah apologizing to her “dear friend” for the comments she made. “I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read,” she wrote. “And I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that.”
And there’s plenty more correspondence between them amongst the three million files released by the DOJ. “You are a legend,” the former Duchess wrote in one email, adding: “I am at your service.”
