Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes were the talk of the town when they announced their breakup in September 2025 after two years of dating. However, the year ended on a good note as the couple shared that they reconciled in December.
The five-time Grammy Award nominee has now broken her silence, offering insight into her relationship with her beau.
At the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 1, the singer told Entertainment Tonight that their romance back and forth “looked a lot more dramatic than it was” to the public and “that was quite a learning lesson” for them.
Ballerini even admitted that she loves her beau a lot and they have “been together for quite a while now and done a lot of life together.”
The 32-year-old even blushed when she expressed her thoughts about hiccups in their relationship. Bellerini said she “loves love” and even believes in it.
As per the star, she finds joy in “finding the thinks that make you happy and finding the things that you want to work on and figuring out when the rubber meets the road, how to make that work.” She admitted that it was one of her “habits” to give up on love too easily, but she is no longer a “ghoster.”
It was not only on the red carpet that the songwriter discussed her rekindled romance. She even shared her thoughts on the same in her New Year’s post, acknowledging the hard times between her and Stokes.
“Messy year for the heart, messy year for the outside coming in, messy year for the way it became an out of our hands portrayal of it,” she wrote, as per PEOPLE.
She then confessed her feelings for Stokes, saying she believes “in him, and I believe in breaking patterns.” Even Stokes echoed the same in his New Year post, saying, “Take accountability, learn from mistakes. Lean into love and say it often.”
