Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not take kids to The Invictus Games, claims insider
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to be in the UK in July for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. But insiders claim they might not bring their kids, Archie and Lilibet, to the games due to security concerns.
After losing his security legal battle last May, Harry gave a statement. He said that it was “impossible” for him to take his “family back to the UK safely.” He further added that he could not “see a world” in which he would return with his family due to the risk. A source close to Harry even told the Sunday Times that if the Duke gets invited by the King, “he would get a package of security that automatically kicks in”
His visit could mark a new chapter for the Sussexes and their relationship with the family. An insider told Closer that their kids’ joining them on the trip is uncertain. As per the source, the Invictus Games has been touted. Especially as a moment where the children of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be “introduced more publicly.” They added, “But right now, those plans are on hold.”
“Nothing will happen until the security issue is resolved. They are not willing to take that risk. Meghan won’t come if the situation isn’t sorted and the children certainly won’t,” asserted the insider.
The step comes as the monarch’s younger son sees his two kids as just as “important to the future of the monarchy.” They are Prince William’s children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. “He doesn’t see them as separate from that story.”
