We are all still trying to wrap our heads around Bravo’s unfortunate decision to hit pause on The Real Housewives of Miami for a second time. It’s a shame because Adriana de Moura deserves to be on our screens year-round, but Andy Cohen is here to remind us, once again, that this was not his decision. Don’t bring those torches and pitchforks to his front door. He’s on our side with this one.

Since the news dropped that Bravo would not move forward with RHOM Season 8, fans have been blowing up Andy, pointing fingers at him for the decision. However, Andy has gone on record to say that pausing it was not his decision. Insiders close to the network said it fell on the chopping block because it was the least-watched franchise.

Page Six touched base with him about the issue during the Real Housewives of Rhode Island premiere party this week. During their chat, he reiterated that pausing Miami wasn’t on his 2026 vision board.

“We gotta get Miami back, and then everybody will calm down. The fact that people are so passionate about the show ultimately makes me happy,” Andy said.

He added, “I just want more people to watch it … If it was really up to me, we would be in production on everything all at once.”

According to Andy, fans should also recognize that Bravo has a very crowded programming slate at the moment. They only run new programming on Sundays through Thursdays and typically only have enough space for seven shows at a time. They’ve got to keep slots open for other shows, like Real Housewives of New York’s second attempt at a reboot and the new edition of Vanderpump Rules, which hit record-low ratings last year.

Andy explained, “By the way, there’s also something to be said for, if they know they don’t have a slot for it for the next year and two months because we have all these other Housewives that are in production or … are slotted, then doesn’t it make sense to wait six months and then shoot it later so that it’s closer to when it airs?”

Either way, Andy emphasized that RHOM is not cancelled. They’ll be back eventually. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

The Real Housewives of Miami is streaming on Peacock.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ANDY’S LATEST COMMENTS ABOUT RHOM? DO YOU THINK IT SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON PEACOCK INSTEAD OF SWITCHING TO BRAVO?
