An insider reportedly told the outlet, “Alex was pretty stunned when he heard what Nicole said about him,” and sources claimed that the issue came down to how Kidman retold the story when she told it publicly.
Kidman and Skarsgård filmed steamy scenes together for their HBO hit, “Big Little Lies.” Their working relationship was quite public during the show’s awards run, with Radar Online noting that Kidman kissed Skarsgård after his Emmy win in 2017, even with her then-husband, Keith Urban, nearby.
However, the outlet further reported that Kidman brought up a moment involving food before filming while talking about what she dislikes in a kissing scene. The insider reportedly said, “He always thought they had a great working relationship, so for her to tell this embarrassing tidbit about him in an interview just to get a laugh is a real knife in the back.”

However, Radar Online reported that a representative for Skarsgård denied the story and said he is likely unaware of any recent comments about him, and “if he is, would not care at all.”
Even so, the insider maintained that the kissing scene remark changed how Skarsgård views Nicole Kidman. And now, he reportedly would not count Kidman “as a real friend anymore.”
