The FBI are upping the ante in hopes of getting more clues to a disappearance. The search for Nancy Guthrie remains front and centre, and now there’s a bigger bonus to anyone who comes forward with useful information.
Previously, a $50,000 reward had been offered for details that could help authorities track her down the 84-year-old. That’s been increased to $100,000 for anyone with details of where Nancy might be, and/or may lead to an arrest and conviction. The mother of Today co-host Savannah is said to be without her medication. She was officially declared missing on February 1. Police are not only increasing the reward but also have information about the potential suspect.

At last, it appears the FBI have something concrete to go on regarding the person allegedly responsible for Nancy’s disappearance. On their X account, FBI Phoenix revealed the details they obtained through forensic analysis of the doorbell photos and videos. The suspect is a male who is between 5’9” and 5’10” with an average build. In the doorbell video, he is wearing a black 25-litre ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.
The hope is that this will help us get some solid tips on Nancy’s whereabouts. Ransom notes have been sent to some news outlets before, one reportedly seeking $6 million. Yesterday, a retired Phoenix sergeant called the doorbell footage “a huge break” in the case. Since the start of this investigation, the FBI has received more than 13,000 tips. Every tip is examined for its credibility.
The Guthrie family have sent several videos saying they are ready to talk to the alleged kidnapper in this case. A former NYPD detective believes the person involved at this stage may be playing games. Police previously found blood at the home, and it’s been confirmed to be Nancy’s.
