Move over, Andy Cohen. Meghan Markle has seemingly entered her producing era.
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly keen to arrange a sit-down interview between Brooklyn Beckham and Oprah Winfrey. This comes just one month after he broke his silence on rift rumors surrounding his family.
Meghan Markle “feels a real sense of empathy” with Brooklyn Beckham
Last month, Brooklyn made a string of allegations against his family, mainly aimed at his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Further, he ended his bombshell statement by saying he does not want to “reconcile” with his family. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” declared Brooklyn.
Now, it seems he has found an ally in Meghan, which is perhaps confusing to some. David and Victoria were thought to be good friends of the Sussexes and attended their 2018 wedding.
Nonetheless, a Radar Online source said the Duchess is pulling strings to get Brooklyn an interview with Oprah. “Meghan identifies very strongly with what Brooklyn is going through,” the insider said, nodding to her and Prince Harry’s rumored feud with the royals.
“She’s come to believe that Brooklyn has been painted in an unfair light – much like she and Harry felt they were when their own family tensions became public,” the source added. “Seeing the intensity of the backlash after his statement genuinely upset her.”
The insider claimed Meghan has reached out to Brooklyn and “gently advised” him on what to do next. “She believes a structured, in-depth interview – where he feels safe, supported and able to explain himself fully – would give him a fairer opportunity to be understood,” they said. “It’s about reclaiming control of the narrative rather than letting it run away with him.”
Backing this up, a TV production source said Meghan thinks Oprah would be the ideal interviewer, based on her own experience.
