It’s been over a week since Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy Guthrie was reported missing. Nancy’s three children are working with local authorities, as well as the FBI, and have made multiple pleas for their mother’s return.
As part of the investigation, Pima County Sheriff’s deputies searched Nancy’s older daughter Annie Guthrie’s home on February 7. According to authorities, the search of Annie’s home is just a “part of the normal course” of the case.
Additionally, a car believed to belong to Nancy was towed out of her garage.
The FBI searched Annie Guthrie’s home
Amid the on-going search for their mother, Savannah, Annie and their brother Camron Guthrie posted a response to her mom’s possible captors.
“We received your message and we understand,” Savannah said in the February 7 Instagram video. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.”
“This is very valuable to us,” the Today Show anchor continued, “and we will pay.”
Two days earlier, Camron posted his own video to Instagram sharing that he and his family had not heard from their mother’s abductors. “Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you,” he said. “We need you to reach out, and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward.”
“But first we have to know that you have our mom,” he added. “We want to talk to you, and we are waiting for contact.”
Prior to that, Nancy’s family had posted another video on February 4, acknowledging receiving a possible ransom note. “As a family, we are doing everything that we can,” Savannah said at the time. “We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her.”
Meanwhile, the investigation continues.
