Just days after going up against him at the Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny for his history-making Super Bowl Halftime Show. Bad Bunny (real name: Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) performed the entire 13-minute segment in Spanish, paying homage to his native Puerto Rico, which Lady Gaga joined in on with her outfit.

Lady Gaga wore a ruffled, powder blue dress by Luar, and the brand later posted on Instagram about the design. “For the culture and for all immigrants,” the post read. “This is how we come together.”

As well as her signature beauty look (see: blonde hair and bleached brows), Lady Gaga finished things off with a special nod to Puerto Rico … a custom-made pin. Over her heart, Lady Gaga wore a Piers Atkinson brooch. It featured Puerto Rico’s signature flower, the Flor de Maga, which is a large, hibiscus-like blossom.

Speaking about her cameo, which was one of many, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to thank Bad Bunny. “It was my absolute honor to be a part of Benito’s Halftime show,” she said. “Thank you Benito, for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me onto your stage. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

Beyond Lady Gaga’s outfit, there were many powerful messages in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. As well as making history by performing the show entirely in Spanish, Bad Bunny criticized Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He also reiterated the message given during his Grammy acceptance speech, that being, love is stronger than hate, and highlighted that America is more than just the US.
