Savannah Chrisley’s co-hosts on The View don’t see the future the way she does.
On Wednesday’s new episode, the hosts discussed Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‘s recent appearance at the Munich Security Conference. At the conference, AOC stumbled when asked if U.S. troops should defend Taiwan in a conflict with China. The awkward moment was picked up on by many Republican politicians, including Vice President JD Vance.
Savannah Chrisley called AOC the Democrats’ “pick” for 2028
“My mother used to say, ‘Don’t spit up in the air. It comes back in your face,'” host Joy Behar said about AOC. She then defended the congresswoman from Vance. “Check him out before you ask attacking AOC, who by the way—it sounded a little hamana hamana hamana, but compared to him, it’s like Mensa.”
Savannah, a vocal supporter of President Trump, responded. “I think mispronouncing a word is totally different than not knowing your position on Taiwan,” she said. “What’s important is how you recover from something,” she explained.
Then, she explained why she thinks the President handles gaffes better. “Trump, he has done things, he has continued on with his speech, and then continued on to meet with world leaders. So the recovery is what mattered, and AOC just didn’t have a recovery.”
Joy then responded that Trump should be more eloquent. “He does it over and over again,” she responded regarding gaffes. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg came in at this point, adding that Trump “is the President,” implying more should be held to a higher standard.
Adding to that, Whoopi continued, “My point is I can take hamana hamana from congresspeople and stuff. If you don’t have yourself together, that’s on you. I can’t take it from the guy who says he’s the leader of the free world.”
“I understand that wholeheartedly,” Savannah agreed. Then, he next response was met with exclaims of disagreement from her co-hosts. “AOC though, [she] is the Democrats’ pick for the next election.”
“You better tell that to Gavin Newsom!” Joy quipped.
