Prince Harry reportedly tried to offer an olive branch to his estranged brother, Prince William, but his advance was declined. The pair have been in a rumored feud for years. It allegedly began when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from life as senior working royals in 2020.
Prince William and Prince Harry “both” need to change their “attitude” for “resolution”

According to royal author Omid Scobie, Harry tried to reconcile with his brother in 2023 by reaching out to an “intermediary.”
Omid told US Weekly that, while he was writing Endgame, he had “conversations with people very close to Harry.”
“One of the things that was shared with me was that Harry had reached out to an intermediary,” the author explained. “[It was] kind of a mutual friend between himself and his brother.”
“[Harry was] hoping that would allow them to have some kind of conversation together. Maybe with someone present, or through whatever channel,” the royal writer continued. Omid said, however, that William didn’t take his brother up on the offer.
“It didn’t happen,” he revealed. “It wasn’t received in any way whatsoever.”
To that end, Omid said a “stone wall is still up” between the formerly close brothers, who have not been seen in public together since August 2024. “Unless the attitudes change on both sides, we’re never going to find any way to resolution,” he added.
After Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties, they departed the UK and moved to California in the US. This didn’t help the rumored rift between the brothers, but it was reportedly worsened further by the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, in 2023. Among other claims, Harry wrote that William called Meghan “difficult” and “rude” during a 2019 visit to his home.
