Addison Rae’s parents are currently in a custody battle over the singer’s younger sibling. It comes following a difficult divorce between Sheri Eastering and Monty Lopez, who was recently arrested for felony obscenity.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Addison’s mom, Sheri, has filed for sole custody of the minor she shares with her estranged husband, Monty. The pair, who originally settled their divorce in 2022 after two decades of marriage, share three children, including Addison.
TMZ reports that Sheri listed several alleged incidents of abuse committed by Monty in the custody petition. This includes claims that Monty “degraded” and physically abused her.
There are also claims that Monty became aggressive when Sheri turned down sex. “He told her she was a b*tch for not wanting to have sex with him and that she ‘had to, it was her duty.'”
Elsewhere in the files, Sheri claimed that in 2008, Monty slapped Addison across the face for talking back to him. Sheri also accused Monty of having issues with alcohol. She stated he was arrested for driving under the influence on more than one occasion.
Sheri also pointed to her ex-husband’s recent arrest. Last July, he was arrested on a felony charge of exposing himself in an alleged incident that occurred in 2024. Reporting on the arrest, TMZ said the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana accused him of “exposing his genitals [or] pubic hair … with the intent of arousing sexual desire.”
Monty pleaded not guilty to the charge and had a bond set at $2,500. He has a hearing scheduled for March 19 of this year.
In response to the claims of abuse and Monty’s arrest, Sheri is demanding sole custody and child support.
